Breaking News!

Hi friends! Happy Thursday! Just a quick post from me today to share a super cute vintage TV that I created for the Gecko Galz December Gothic Challenge! This image is so gorgeous, I couldn’t resist creating with it! And this Spellbinders 3D Vignette Retro Television die set is the bomb and I’m totally in love! Win-win!

I used some of the new Lessebo cardstock (Coffee Bean, Amazon Dark Teal and Cement Gray) over at CutCardStock to make this project. I can never resist a vintage brown and teal color combo for some reason! ;)

This television holds four cards which can be used for sentiments, journaling and/or photos. I chose to die cut sentiments (from the same die set) into three of them and left one totally blank.

And it folds flat for mailing! I totally love it!

Pure Imagination

Hey everybody, Happy Saturday! Christmas will be here in a couple days and then in another week we’ll be headed into a brand new year. Can you believe it?! I’m thrilled to be back with another Keep It Simple DT inspiration project to share created with the new Pure Imagination Collection. I created a fun tuxedo box card featuring papers and die cut pieces. My inspiration came from Sam Calcott over at Mixed Up Craft. She is amazing and makes some of the coolest projects!

The tuxedo card base was cut from CutCardStock Cougar Smooth White cardstock along with layers from several coordinating papers in the 6×9 Collection Pack. I cut acetate strips and adhered an assortment of Die Cut Pieces to the ends with Therm-O-Web Zots, and then arranged them in the box card. The finishing touch was adding a die cut sentiment to the front.

I layered the back panels on a paper from the Collection Pack and added sentiment die cuts.

Crafty Girl Cascading Pocket Mini Album

Hey everybody! Happy Friday – I hope you’ve had a great week and you’re all ready for Christmas! I’m up on the CutCardStock blog today with a tutorial for making a super cute cascading pocket mini album. The Lessebo line has replaced the Basis cardstock, and this mini album features White and Navy Blue cardstock in this new line. My inspiration came from this video over on Helen Griffin’s You Tube channel! I will, however, re-work the box next time I make this as it’s a tad bit snug. Overall, though, I love how it turned out!

The box base, album base and card layers were cut from Lessebo White. I used Lessebo Navy Blue for the layering panels on the box, album, and cards. The adorable chipboard, buttons and patterned paper are from the Keep It Simple Crafty Girls Collection.

I think the thing I love most about this album (besides being so stinkin’ cute) is the TON of journaling and photo space. There is room on both sides of each pocket (except the first one which is embellished on the front side) and both sides of each card in the pockets!

I embellished the cards with stickers from the same Keep It Simple Crafty Girls Collection.

Here’s a shot of the back side of the pockets.

Warm Thoughts

Howdy peeps! Happy Thursday and Happy Birthday to my bestie from middle school, my nephew, and my older brother in Heaven. Lots of special people born on this day. I’m up on the Prickley Pear Stamps blog today with an inspiration project created with the Snow Ladies Trio stamp set along with the Nesting Tag Dies. I totally love this stamp set and have used all three images and three sentiments in the set to create a double flap fun fold, and I love how it turned out! I always love using non-traditional colors on Christmas cards!

The card bases, inside layering panel and one tag were cut from Neenah Classic Crest Solar White cardstock. Another tag was cut from CutCardStock Stardream Metallic Azalea cardstock and the layering panels were cut from coordinating prints in the My Favorite Things Cheerful Plaid 6×6 paper pad. I fashioned a bow from some pink gingham ribbon in my stash to embellish the pink tag. I have to say I’m really enjoying the Nesting Tag Dies because each one has a different stitched edge and they are so fun!

All three Snow Ladies were stamped in Memento Tuxedo Black ink and colored with alcohol markers, and each one sports a different sentiment. I totally love that different images and sentiments can be used on the multiple layers of this fun fold, providing little surprises for the recipient as each layer is lifted!

Very Merry Double Flap Fun Fold

Hey everybody! Here’s to a Terrific Tuesday! It sure is a beautiful day! I have an awesome ScrapbookingStore DT inspiration project to share created with the amazing December 2023 Scrapbook Kit with Upgrades. I can’t stop swooning over the gorgeous prints in this month’s collection! You know that I’m a fun fold fanatic and I’ve created a double flap fun fold which features several papers and stickers from the December kit. There are several versions of the ‘double flap fun fold’ and this one is definitely on my list of favorites! I hope you aren’t getting tired of seeing this fold, lol!

The card base and circle flap were cut from Solar White cardstock and embellished with three patterned papers from the collection. I used the Keep It Simple Stitched Circles Nested Dies for the circle flap and layer. A sentiment sticker from the sticker sheet was added along with several light green gemstones from my stash. The finishing touch was tying a white twine bow to the left-hand flap. Easy peasy! ;)

An additional white die cut circle and sentiment sticker were added to the inside.

Boho Christmas Cards (set of 8)

Hi friends! Happy Monday! The weekend is gone just like that! Time sure seems to be flying by! I’m back this morning with a super fun ScrapbookingStore DT inspiration project to share with you created with the awesome December 2023 Scrapbook Kit with Upgrades. The papers, stickers and upgrades in this month’s collection are pretty phenomenal and one of the upgrade items brought back some very fond memories of when I started card making 30 years ago!

It’s a complete card kit made by Simple Stories – above and beyond the December Scrapbook Kit itself – and includes step-by-step instructions, card bases, patterned papers and tons of ephemera! Yep, you heard that right – a complete card kit that would be a wonderful gift for someone who is just starting to venture into the world of card making! So, to show just how easy and fun this is, I created eight boho Christmas cards using the items in the kit along with adhesive and foam squares from my stash.

Aren’t these totally adorable?! They are all blank inside so I have donated them to Bring Smiles To Seniors! <3

Scrappy hugs,

Snow Day

Hey everybody! Happy Weekend – I hope you’re having a good one! I’m delighted to be back with another Keep It Simple DT inspiration project to share created with the amazing Snow Day Collection that was released in mid-October! Everything about this collection is amazing – the colors and patterns of the papers, stamps, dies, and die cut pieces! I created a double flap fun fold featuring papers, stamps and dies, and I absolutely love how it turned out! This is one of several ‘double flap fun fold’ versions and I just love it!

The card base and circle flap were cut from CutCardStock Basis White cardstock and embellished with coordinating papers from the 12×12 Collection Pack. I used the Stitched Circles Nested Dies to cut the circle flap and layer. A sentiment and several images were stamped from the Collection Stamps and images colored with alcohol markers. I cut all with the coordinating Outline Dies and arranged them on the circle flap.

I embellished the inside panel with a strip of paper used on the front, stamped a sentiment from the Collection Stamps and layered the panel on another paper from the Collection Pack.

Deck the Halls fun fold

Hey everybody! I hope you’re having a great weekend and it’s not too cold where you are! I’m back this morning with another ScrapbookingStore DT inspiration project to share created with the awesome December 2023 Scrapbook Kit with Upgrades! In addition to the gorgeous papers and stickers in this month’s kit, I love the ephemera bits in the upgrades. I created a pretty double easel fun fold chock full of gorgeous Christmas foliage and cardinals. Who wouldn’t love this pretty card sitting on their mantle?!

The card bases were cut from white and red cardstock and embellished with a pretty green patterned paper from the collection. All sorts of foliage and cardinals from the ephemera bits in the upgrades were added to the short and long easel portions of the card. I also added a few white and black glittered enamel dots.

The inside panel was embellished with a leftover strip of patterned paper used on the front, an additional piece of ephemera from the upgrades, and a sentiment sticker from the sticker sheet. This was a fun one and I love how it turned out!

‘Tis The Season To Be Jolly

Hi friends, Happy Saturday! I hope you have something fun planned this weekend… and if you’re a crafter, maybe you have some crafting up your sleeve?! I’m definitely doing some of that here today! I’m up on the Prickley Pear Stamps blog with an inspiration project featuring the Snowflake Inserts stamp set and the Snowflake Pendant die. I totally love these because the snowflake is large and definitely takes charge on any project! I love cards with apertures so I cut a large circle in the front flap for the snowflake to show through.

The card base was cut from Neenah Classic Crest Solar White and I used two coordinating prints from the Keep It Simple Royal 12×12 Collection Pack for the front and inside layering panels. I used Keep It Simple Stitched Circles Nested Dies for the large and small circle die cuts.

I adhered three snowflake die cuts together (cut from CutCardStock Stardream Metallic Vista cardstock using the Snowflake Pendant die) which I embellished with blue gemstones. The sentiment from the Snowflake Inserts stamp set was stamped in Catherine Pooler Cove Blue ink. The finishing touch was adding die cut corners cut from Solar white with the JustRite A2 Card Front Basics die set embellished with blue gemstones.

Have A Very Merry Christmas

Hey everybody! I hope your weekend has started off with a bang! Well, not literally, lol! I have to ask… are you ready for that jolly man in the red suit to make his appearance?! It won’t be long! I have another ScrapbookingStore DT inspiration project to share with you today created with the December 2023 Scrapbook Kit with Upgrades! The papers, stickers, and upgrades in the kits each month coordinate so well, but on the flip side of that I wanted to demonstrate that the stickers in this Christmas collection are pretty enough to stand alone on a clean and simple A2 card. I absolutely love the pop of color on an all-white background. This design worked up very quickly and would be easy to mass produce!

The card base and background were cut from Solar White cardstock. I used the Kat Scrappiness Buffalo Plaid Backdrop Die but any kind of background die would work for this clean and simple technique. The focal image and sentiment stickers from the sticker sheet were adhered to white cardstock, fussy cut, and adhered to the card front on foam strips. The finishing touch was adding several iridescent gemstones.

The inside is clean and simple as well, embellished with border and sentiment stickers from the sticker sheet.
