It’s OK…

Hey everybody! Happy Monday – I hope you had a great weekend! I’m up on the CutCardStock blog today with a tutorial for making a super cute candy corn themed card. There are always a ton of posts around Halloween from people who really dislike candy corn, and when I saw this cut file, I laughed so hard and knew I had to have it! The cut file is from Printable Cuttable Creatables and I used Cougar Smooth White, Pop Tone Black Licorice, Lessebo Brick Orange, and Lessebo Sunflower Yellow cardstock to cut the pieces. And I happened to have some candy corn patterned paper in my stash so it really works!

I started by making the candy corn focal using the Printable Cuttable Creatables Don’t Like You Candy Corn SVG Cut File and my Cricut Explore Air 2. I cut the pieces from our Cougar Smooth White, Pop Tone Black Licorice, Lessebo Brick Orange, and Lessebo Sunflower Yellow cardstock. After assembling the candy corn focal, I cut a standard A2 top-folding card base and strip from CutCardStock Pop Tone Black Licorice cardstock. Next, I cut a layering panel from CutCardStock Lessebo Brick Orange and a layering panel and strip from coordinating papers in the Simple Stories Spooky Nights Collection. I rounded the bottom right corner of each and assembled the card. This couldn’t have been any easier!

I cut the inside panel from Cougar Smooth White and embellished it with leftover strips of the candy corn paper and orange cardstock used on the front. I added three candy corn stickers and a sentiment from the Simple Stories Collection Pack, which completed the card.

Howdy peeps! I hope you’re having a great weekend – I’ve had my nose buried in my crafting. So what else is new?! Bahahaha! Our weather has been cooling off for several weeks now and it’s just glorious. I’m always happy when we no longer need the A/C. I have a fun ScrapbookingStore DT inspiration project to share with you today created with items in the October 2025 Scrapbook Kit with Upgrades. I made a circle pop-out card which turned out so cute because it’s so simple. I’ve had handwritten instructions in my tutorial folder for quite some time although I don’t remember where I initially saw it. I just recently caught a glimpse of it on Connie Stewart’s YouTube channel HERE which reminded me that it’s on my long list of folds I want to try, so I made it! I hope you enjoy it.

I cut the card base and stitched circle die cuts (using the Love From Lizi Stitched Circle Nested Cutting Dies) from CutCardStock Lessebo Brick Orange cardstock. I also cut a smaller stitched circle (using the same Love From Lizi die set) from Lessebo Sunset Orange and a scalloped circle using a Spellbinders Standard Scalloped Circles Small die to layer the sentiment sticker on. Then I cut layering panels from a super cute plaid print in the Photo Play Halloween Junque Collection Pack. I remembered I had some black cat sequins in my stash so I added a few of them to tie in the black cat on the sentiment.

I cut the inside panel from CutCardStock Basis 80# Natural cardstock and embellished it with a strip of another print in the collection. I added another sentiment sticker from the sticker sheet and added another black cat sequin, and BOOM, the card was finished. Love how it turned out!

Hey everybody, happy weekend! I hope your weather is cooling off some and you’re able to enjoy some time outdoors. I have a fun ScrapbookingStore DT inspiration project to share with you today created with items in the October 2025 Scrapbook Kit with Upgrades. The book fold is one of the coolest (and easy) fun folds and it looks good in square or regular A2 size which is what I created in portrait orientation for today’s share.

I cut the book-style card base from CutCardStock Basis 110# Natural cardstock along with layering panels from a paper in the collection which I split into two uneven pieces for a little interest. I added a sticker from the sticker sheet to the spine along with a chipboard element from the Carta Bella Halloween Chipboard Accents in the upgrades (with Lawn Fawn black twine looped beneath it) which I popped up on Scrapbook Adhesives 3D foam circles. The finishing touch was adding a small sentiment sticker (also from the sticker sheet) to the upper right corner.

I cut the inside panel from CutCardStock Basis 80# Natural cardstock and embellished it with a paper strip and sentiment and star stickers from the sticker sheet. I layered the panel on another print from the collection, and this completed the card.

Happy Friday, y’all! I hope you’ve had a great week and you’re looking forward to some fun this weekend. I have a fun ScrapbookingStore DT inspiration project to share with you today created with items in the October 2025 Scrapbook Kit with Upgrades. I have made a ton of triple fold cards over the years but the faux triple fold is one of my favorites because it gives the illusion of a triple fold but it’s really just regular bi-fold that opens from left to right. The secret is adhering the middle section down to the right-hand flap. It’s a fun one, for sure!

I cut the card base from CutCardStock Basis Black cardstock along with layering panels from assorted prints in the Photo Play Halloween Junque Collection Pack in this month’s kit. I created the focal element on the front using Love From Lizi Stitched Label Nesting Cutting Dies, and embellished it with an additional round die cut created with a Love From Lizi Stitched Circle Nesting Cutting Die along with stickers from the sticker sheet.

I also added a piece of ephemera from the Carta Bella Halloween Frames & Tags (in the upgrades) to the upper right corner of the right-hand panel which I popped up on a thin foam square as well as a magnet closure. I also added some glitter-embellished circles to the left-hand panel for a little interest. These were made with Scrapbook Adhesives 3D Circles using the ‘Wear Your Adhesive On The Outside’ technique which I have fallen in love with!

Here is a shot of the card opening up.

I embellished the inside panels with stickers from the sticker sheet and added a sentiment from the Carta Bella Halloween Frames & Tags in the upgrades.

Scrappy hugs,

Thank you for being a part of my story

Hey everybody, happy Wednesday! I hope your week is going along nicely! I’m up on the Scrapbook Pal blog today sharing a tutorial for making a fun book-themed thank you card featuring the Pinkfresh Studio Twilight Tales Stamps, Stencils and Dies! OMGoodness, this is such a fun suite of products to work with! They make THE best projects for your book-loving friends or family!

I won’t go into huge detail here since there is a tutorial on the Scrapbook Pal website, but I used a Neenah Classic Crest 110# card base which I covered with patterned paper from the Lawn Fawn Watercolor Wishes Rainbow 6×6 Petite Paper Pack. The large focal image is stamped, stenciled, and die cut using products from the Pinkfresh Studio Twilight Tales suite.

I used a variety of Ranger distress oxide inks – which have rapidly become my FAV for stenciling. They blend like butter, y’all, and have THE best silky smooth texture! I added a little bit of detail here and there with Nuvo Gloss White Crystal Drops which took on the color of the ink that looks very cool.

I cut the inside panel from 80# Solar White cardstock, embellished it with a leftover strip of the paper used on the front, and layered it on CutCardStock Basis Gold cardstock. Both the front and inside sentiments were stamped in Versafine Onyx Black ink and cut with the coordinating dies in the collection.

Scrappy hugs,

hello Friend accordion diorama

Hey everybody, happy Wednesday – I hope you’re having a good week! I’m up on the Scrapbook Adhesives By 3L blog today sharing a tutorial for making an accordion diorama card. This is my debut project as a new designer on this amazing team and I’m over the moon excited! I used a variety of products and they are all listed below. You know I love me some fun folds and I’m always scouting around for new ones to try. I saw a card similar to this one on Pinterest a while back – and once again there was no information about it – so I took a stab at recreating it. The first one I made was a bit more tedious than it needed to be so I ended up fine-tuning it a bit and thus this second version was born. In the end it wasn’t too difficult and I love how it turned out!

Card base was cut from CutCardStock Lessebo Navy Blue cardstock along with layering panels from Doodlebug Design Rainbow Petite Prints (buffalo check-woodgrain and floral-graph). I used the Scrapbook.com Nested A2 Arches Dies for the aperture, along with ribbon and lace from Really Reasonable Ribbon for embellishments. Also used the Hero Arts Here For You Stamp & Die Bundle and paper pieced the floral using two more Doodlebug Design Rainbow Petite Prints (gingham-linen and dot-stripe).

I used quite a few Scrapbook Adhesives products to bring this card to life (all listed below), and even employed the ‘Wear Your Adhesive on the Outside’ technique by adding blue foil to small and medium adhesive dots to make shiny embellishments for the front. OMGosh, it’s SO cool – you need to try it!

I added a sentiment panel with a stamped sentiment to the back, and included a side shot below so you can see the construction. Definitely a fun card to make! If you want to learn how to make it, be sure to see my tutorial on the Scrapbook Adhesives blog!

Hey everybody, happy Wednesday – how is it that we are a week into October already?! Has it cooled off any where you are? It’s absolutely gorgeous here and definitely my favorite time of year! I’m up on the Love From Lizi blog today with a tutorial for making yet another version of the double flap fun fold. I used papers and embellishments from the October Autumn Breeze release along with some already in the store. It’s an amazing release, and even though it’s Autumn/Fall themed, I thought ‘outside the box’ and created a fun friendship card that could be used for a variety of occasions. I have to tell you that I’ve made a lot of fun folds over the years – and there have been quite a few that I said were the ‘easiest ever’ – but this one really IS the easiest ever to make!

Card base and label die cut for the second flap were cut from CutCardStock Lessebo Pitch Black cardstock, using the Stitched Label Nested Cutting Dies for the labels. I cut the patterned paper layers from coordinating prints in the A Spot of Autumn 6×6 paper pack. The sentiments and embellishments are from the A Spot of Autumn Thicker Stickers and Mini Stickers. The finishing touch on the front was adding a few gemstones from the Tropical Escapes Mixed Size Gems.

I die cut an additional label from Neenah Classic Crest 80# Solar White cardstock for the inside and added another sentiment and embellishments from the A Spot of Autumn Thicker Stickers and Mini Stickers. See how easy this was?! Check out my tutorial on the Love From Lizi blog if you’d like more detailed instructions. I’d love to know if you make one!

HUGS shadow box card

Hey everybody, happy weekend – I hope you’re doing something fun! I’m delighted to share a Scrapbook Pal DT inspiration project with you today featuring the Pinkfresh Studio Shadow Box Frame dies and the Altenew Dynamic Duo: Precious Poppies stamps and stencils, along with lots of other products on the website! I’ve made a few shadow box fun fold cards over the years but this one is literally a shadow box and stands for display! It was so stinkin’ fun to make!

I started by constructing the shadow box frame using the Pinkfresh Studio Shadow Box Frame Dies and Neenah Classic Crest 165# Solar White cardstock which is super sturdy. I embellished the front and sides of the frame with strips of a green and gold speckled print from the Lawn Fawn Spiffier Speckles 6×6 Petite Paper Pack, and also added a panel of a coordinating print from the same paper pad to the back of the frame. I used the My Sweet Petunia Glue Press with Bearly Art precision craft glue for all the construction.

Using the Altenew Dynamic Duo: Precious Poppies Stamps, MISTI Stamp Tool and Memento Tuxedo Black Ink, I stamped the main image on a piece of the 165# Solar White cardstock and left the stamp in the MISTI. Then I stenciled the poppies using the Altenew Dynamic Duo: Precious Poppies Stencils, Ranger Tiny Blending Tools and Foams, and Ranger Candied Apple, Abandoned Coral, Peeled Paint, and Shabby Shutters Distress Oxide Inks, securing each stencil with Spellbinders 5/8″ Best Ever Craft Tape.

I put the stenciled cardstock back into the MISTI and stamped again in Versafine Onyx Black ink to get good, crisp lines. I then stamped the sentiment (from the same stamp set) in Versafine Onyx Black ink, trimmed it, and adhered it with Scrapbook Adhesives 3D Foam Squares. The final touch was adding several red rhinestones from the Keep It Simple Sprinkles collection and several gold pearls from the Kat Scrappiness Gold Pearl Mix. I’ve included a couple additional shots below. Totally love how this turned out!

Hey everybody, happy Friday – and I want to know how it’s the first Friday in October already?! This is hands-down my favorite time of the year – it’s our first Fall here at our new home and it’s absolutely gorgeous. I’m up on the CutCardStock blog today with a tutorial for making a cruise-themed box card. I used a variety of our red, white, blue and black cardstock along with the Cruise Ship Box Card SVG cut file from Simply Crafty SVGs. This was such a fun project and I love how it turned out!

Using my Cricut Explore Air 2 and the Cruise Ship SVG cut file from Simply Crafty SVGs, I cut all the pieces from Cougar Smooth 110# White 12×12, Pop Tone Black Licorice, Pop Tone Red Hot, Patriot Blue cardstock and Blue Hydrangea, and Cougar Smooth 80# White 12×12 cardstock. I had a ball assembling this card, like I usually do, lol! I used the Print then Cut function on my Cricut for the front sentiment which completed the card.

I stamped a sentiment from the Stampin’ Up Let’s Set Sail stamp set in Versafine Onyx Black ink. This was a fun one! Since I didn’t go into many details in this post, be sure to see my tutorial on the CutCardStock blog if you want more info!

Hey everybody, happy Friday! I hope you have something fun planned this weekend! Our new challenge went live this morning over at Creative Creases, and my contribution for Challenge #108 is a Halloween-themed tented easel card. I used papers and die cut pieces from the Keep It Simple A Wee Bit Wicked collection, Keep It Simple Halloqueen Sentiments stamps and dies, and the Witch Hazel stamp set from Art by Mi Ran (sold by Keep It Simple). I love how this turned out! Come on over and play with us – anything goes with a fun fold!

The measurements to make this card are super simple – card base is 4-1/4″ x 11″, scored at 4-1/4″ and 8-1/2″, making the folded card 4-1/4″ square. Front layering panel is 4″ x 4″ and bottom layering panel is 2-1/4″ x 4″ with a white layering panel for the inside cut at 4″ x 4″.

I cut the card base from CutCardStock Lessebo Pitch Black cardstock along with layering panels and a strip ‘stopper’ cut from coordinating papers in the Keep It Simple A Wee Bit Wicked 6×9 Collection Pack. I stamped the Witch Hazel image on Neenah Classic Crest Solar White cardstock, colored her with alcohol markers, and then fussy cut her. I popped her up on foam strips and added her to the card front along with a couple layered moons from the Keep It Simple A Wee Bit Wicked Wee Bits Die Cut Pieces and a sentiment stamped in black ink from the A Wee Bit Wicked Halloqueen Sentiments stamp set and cut with the coordinating outline die.

I cut the inside panel from Solar White cardstock and embellished it with a leftover strip of cobweb paper used on the front. I stamped a sentiment from the Keep It Simple A Wee Bit Wicked Halloqueen Sentiments stamp set in black ink and added an additional piece of ephemera from the A Wee Bit Wicked Wee Bits Die Cut Pieces.
