Hey everybody, happy Thursday! I hope your week is going along nicely! I’m up on the Scrapbook Adhesives By 3L blog today sharing a tutorial for making a pretty friendship card with a flocked front panel. I’ve used a variety of our 3D Foam products (strips, circles, pennants and squares) and of course our E-Z Runner Grand to put it together. I’ve mentioned many times how much I love the ‘Wear Your Adhesive on the Outside’ technique which I did with flocking on this card. I hadn’t had flocking in my stash for quite some time and found a set several months back on Amazon with some really pretty colors, so I’ve had some fun playing with it!
I won’t go into a huge amount of detail here so be sure to see my tutorial on the Scrapbook Adhesives blog if you’d like to know more. I used a 110# Solar White pre-folded card base from CutCardStock (I sure do love them!) and then built the flocked panel on a piece of 80# Solar White. I used 3D Foam Strips Large White, 3D Foam Circles White Mix, 3D Foam Pennants, 3D Foam Squares White Mix, and 3D Foam Strips with the assorted colors of flock.
I used the Stampin’ Up! Perfectly Pears stamp set to stamp the front sentiment in Versafine Onyx Black ink at an angle to match the flocked rows. Then I added a very narrow strip of black vinyl for a little interest. I used the E-Z Runner Grand Permanent Strips Refillable Dispenser to put it all together.
I cut the inside panel from 80# Solar White and stamped another sentiment from the same stamp set, and added two more narrow strips of black vinyl. I layered the panel on CutCardStock Raspberry Ice cardstock, and the card was complete.
