Stuck On You

Hi friends! I hope you are having some fun this weekend, despite the cool weather! Our new challenge is live this morning over at Ally’s Angels and I’m thrilled to share my DT inspiration project for Challenge #89. This is my last inspiration project for Ally’s Angels, as I have handed off all my challenge blogs effective January 1, 2025. Our challenges are always ‘anything goes’ so come on over and play! I created one of THE most fun box cards ever using the Amazing Paper Grace/Spellbinders 3D Vignette Bubble Gum Machine die set and quite a variety of CutCardStock colors of cardstock. I mean… look at this… how stinkin’ cute?!

I cut the bubble gum machine from red, black and silver cardstock; the coin receptacle from Bright Silver Foil; a coin from Bright Gold Foil; and the gum balls from blue, yellow, green, orange, purple and pink. There’s even some acetate on the front to make it look a little more realistic. The assembly is always the most fun–it’s a joy watching 3D projects like this come to life!

I used a Keep It Simple Stitched Squares Nested Die to cut a panel for the back to write a message and sign. And one final photo of the card folded flat for mailing.

Hey everybody! It’s Friday and I hope you’ve had a great week! Our new challenge is live this morning over at Ally’s Angels and I’m delighted to share my DT inspiration project for Challenge #88. Our challenges are always of the ‘anything goes’ variety, so come on over and play! Fall is my favorite season and I had a good time making a pretty fall wreath for the front of this card. I used papers from the Keep It Simple Farmhouse Fall collection along with their Falling Leaves Dies, and I really love how it turned out.

I cut a square card base from Neenah Classic Crest 110# Solar White cardstock along with layering panels and strips from patterned papers in the Keep It Simple Farmhouse Fall Collection Pack. The sentiment is from the Farmhouse Fall Ephemera Die Cuts and a few Keep It Simple Hello Adventure Enamel Dots finished off the front.

I cut the inside panel from 80# Solar White cardstock and embellished it with a leftover strip of the wood plank patterned paper used on the front and a couple more pieces from the Farmhouse Fall Ephemera Die Cuts.

Creepy Halloween

Hi friends, Happy Tuesday! I hope your week has started off nicely! Our new challenge is live this morning over at Ally’s Angels and I’m super stoked to share my DT inspiration project for Challenge #87. Our challenges are always ‘anything goes’ so come on over and play! I’ve been going through my SVG cut files and picking out some that I’ve never used, and came up with this fun cauldron from My Scrap Chick that’s perfect for Halloween! Don’t you agree?!

I cut the card base and pupil from Stampin’ Up 12×12 Basic Black, the iris from CutCardStock Basis Blue; the sclera, bones and stitched circle for the back from Neenah Classic Crest 80# Solar White cardstock; and the bubbly gunk from American Crafts Cricket Glitter Paper. I always enjoy the assembly the most, and added several green gemstones to finish it off.

I stamped a sentiment on the back from The Project Bin Creepy Halloween stamp set. The Project Bin has sadly gone out of business but her awesome stamps live on! ;)

Scrappy hugs,

heck, yeah!

Hi friends! Happy Sunday – I hope your weekend has been a beautiful one! I can’t brag enough about our weather – seems that Autumn is here and we’ve been having the most wonderful temps! I actually had to put on leggings this past Thursday and that’s actually not a bad thing! Our new challenge is live this morning over at Ally’s Angels and I’m delighted to share my DT inspiration project for Challenge #86. Our challenges are always ‘anything goes’ so come over and play! This month we’re introducing a new ‘spotlight winner’ category in conjunction with our random winner and top picks. We love choosing a random winner because it gives everyone playing in our challenges a chance to be a winner. The spotlight winner will be chosen on merit along with our top picks.

For this challenge I’m sharing an explosion card that I sent to my daughter for her 40th birthday. And let me tell you – it does indeed explode – and there should be a confetti warning but there’s not! Bahahaha! These are made with the We R Memory Keepers Explosion Card Punch Board and I’ve made a few of them over the years. They are truly some of THE most fun cards I’ve ever made. Whenever I send one I always wish I was a fly on the wall to watch the mayhem when it’s opened, lol! I’ve come back to update my post with THIS WRMK YouTube video showing the card being made and then toward the end (about 1:40) it shows a mini explosion. I put a ton more confetti in mine so the explosion is much bigger, lol! ;)

I cut the card base from American Crafts Sunflower cardstock, the layering panels and envelope from Stampin’ Up Daffodil Afternoon DSP, and the sentiment/signature panels die cut from CutCardStock Cougar Smooth White cardstock using a Keep It Simple Stitched Circles Nested Die. The heart shaped confetti is punched with the punch board as well. The card itself was super simple to assemble, and the finishing touch was adding a few Keep It Simple Lemon Enamel Dots to the sentiment panel. Here are shots of all four sides.

And here’s one final shot of the card in the envelope. I wonder if the ‘pull here’ and ‘hold here’ (stamps included with the punch board) gives a little bit of the surprise away when the recipient receives it, lol!

Scrappy hugs,

ROAR!

Hi friends! Happy middle of August already! Dang, where is the time going??! Our new challenge is live this morning over at Ally’s Angels and I’m thrilled to share my DT inspiration project for Challenge #85. Our challenges are always ‘anything goes’ so come on over and play! I zeroed in on the Keep It Simple collection called Boys Boys Boys to create this super cute dino card with a torn paper background. I saw this technique on Pinterest a while back and decided to give it a go. The prints in this collection are fairly bold so I used a vellum panel to tone it down a bit. Subtle or light prints would be fine to use without a vellum panel. This was fun and I will definitely be using this technique again!

I cut a standard side-folding A2 card base from Neenah Classic Crest Solar White cardstock. I created the background with strips of torn paper and then cut it with a Keep It Simple Stitched Rectangles Nested Die. Since the background was busy, I used the next smaller stitched rectangle die and cut a panel from CutCardStock Glama Natural Translucent Vellum to tone it down a bit. I added a sentiment and two dinosaur stickers along with two Keep It Simple Back To Basics Jade Enamel Dots, which completed the card front.

I cut the inside panel from Solar White cardstock and embellished it with a torn piece of patterned paper. I added another sentiment sticker and layered the panel on CutCardStock Basis Blue cardstock.

Scrappy hugs,

hello tea cup box card

Hi friends! Happy Monday – I hope you had a great weekend! Our new challenge is live this morning over at Ally’s Angels and I’m delighted to share my DT inspiration project for Challenge #84. Our challenges are always ‘anything goes’ so come on over and play with us! I created an adorable tea cup box card that I sent to a friend to let her know I was thinking about her. I totally love how it turned out!

Using my Cricut Explore Air 2 and the SVG Cuts Tea Cup Box Card cut file, I cut the tea cup box card base from CutCardStock Twine cardstock and patterned paper layering panels from a floral paper in the Hot Off The Press Magnolia Blossoms 6×6 double-sided cardstock pack. The flowers were cut from Papertrey Ink Spring Rain cardstock and CutCardStock Pop Tone Lemon Drop and Kale Green cardstock. I cut the tag from Neenah Classic Crest Baronial Ivory cardstock, stamped a sentiment from the Stampin’ Up A Dozen Thoughts sentiment in Catherine Pooler Cove Blue ink, and anchored it with Hemptique Crafter’s Cord. I added some Eyelet Outlet 4mm blue pearls which completed the card front.

The back panel was also cut from Neenah Classic Crest Baronial Ivory cardstock. I stamped an additional sentiment from the Stampin’ Up A Dozen Thoughts stamp set in Catherine Pooler Cove Blue ink.

Scrappy hugs,

Life is all about Balance

Hey everybody! Happy Hump Day and middle of May already! Our new challenge is live this morning over at Ally’s Angels and I’m super stoked to share my DT inspiration project for Challenge #82! I’ve been having a little (more) fun with my Cricut and created an adorable cactus box card for this challenge. It looks pretty darn real, doesn’t it?! But no thorns… just good ol’ cardstock! And the best part is it folds flat for mailing!

Using my Cricut Explore Air 2 and the SVG Cuts Cactus Box Card SVG cut file, I cut the cactus, box and stones from CutCardStock Kale Green, Amaranth, Scottish Highlands Green and Twine cardstock. I cut the box panels from a pink floral print in the Doodlebug Design Floral-Graph Rainbow Petite Prints 6×6 double-sided cardstock pad. I didn’t take a photo of the envelope, but it was cut from K & Company 12×12 Essentials Dark Designer Paper Pad.

I cut the back panel from a green print in the Echo Park Away We Go Collection Kit. The sentiment is from the Spellbinders Around the Garden stamp set and was stamped in Memento Northern Pine ink.

Scrappy hugs,

today is your day

Hey everybody! Happy Monday! I hope your weekend was a good one! Our new challenge is live this morning over at Ally’s Angels and I’m delighted to share my DT inspiration project for Challenge #81! Our challenges are always ‘anything goes’ so come on over and play! Beginning this month we have a slight change in our structure – we’re now starting at 4:00 AM Mountain Time on the 15th of the month and ending at 4:00 PM Mountain Time on the 10th of the following month. I created a pull tab flip card for this challenge and I love how it turned out. I learned about this fun fold a while back from my friend, Debbie, who got her inspiration from the StampingJill YouTube video HERE. I’ve made a couple of these already and they are so fun!

Card base and one layering panel were cut from Neenah Classic Crest Solar White cardstock along with additional layering panels from CutCardStock Surf Pearl Canvas Textured cardstock and coordinating papers from the Keep It Simple Celebrate The Little Things 12×12 Collection Pack.

I embellished the inside of the flip layers with stickers and ephemera from the same Celebrate The Little Things Collection Pack. I used Ellen Hutson ribbon and Doodlebug Design Lily White Doodle Twine on the pull tab.

For God So Loved The World

Hi friends! I hope you’re having a beautiful weekend! How apropos to post this pretty card today, on Sunday, even though Easter isn’t for another three weeks! Our new challenge is live this morning over at Ally’s Angels and I’m delighted to share my DT inspiration project for Challenge #80! This project was among the final large batch of SVG files that I cut with my Scan N Cut prior to it’s demise a while back. It’s such a pretty design and I love how it turned out in purple and green with just a pop of gold. And before I forget, I want to mention that our challenges at Ally’s Angels will commence on the 15th of the month (and end on the 10th of the following month) beginning in April, which will align nicely with many of the other challenges out there in blogland.

I cut the card base, flap panels, cross and backing, and lilies from CutCardStock Basis White and dry embossed the flap panels with the Cuttlebug Floral Fantasy embossing folder (an oldie but goodie). I cut the ring from CutCardStock Bright Gold Foil and the cross panel from CutCardStock Pop Tone Grapesicle. Finally, the greenery was cut from CutCardStock Pop Tone Jellybean Green and Pop Tone Gumdrop Green.

I used the Prickley Pear Stamps Easter Cross stamp set for the sentiment on the back, stamped in Memento Elderberry ink.

‘Tis the Season

Hey everybody! Are you ready for the big jolly man in the red suit to visit in a couple weeks?! He’ll be here whether you’re ready or not, lol! Our new challenge is live this morning over at Ally’s Angels and I’m super stoked to share my DT inspiration project for Challenge #77! This Christmas card is a super simple design with snowflakes die cut directly into the front panel with blue craft foam placed behind the apertures so it’s seen through the snowflakes and around the edges of the panel.

I cut a standard A2 size side-folding card base and layering panels from CutCardStock Basis 110# Natural cardstock and blue craft foam. Using the Taylored Expressions snowflake die (freebie with an order), I die cut three snowflakes into the layering panel and stamped a sentiment from the Taylored Expressions Winter Wishes stamp set in Catherine Pooler Cove Blue ink in the bottom right corner. I fastened teal glittered brads from my stash to the center of each snowflake and adhered the blue craft foam behind the panel.

I cut the inside panel from Basis Natural, embellished it with a strip of Darice blue cardstock and a leftover strip of Basis Natural, and stamped another sentiment from the Taylored Expressions Winter Wishes stamp set in Catherine Pooler Cove Blue ink.

Sharing in the following challenges:
