Hey everybody, happy weekend! I’m up on the Scrapbook Adhesives By 3L blog today with an inspiration project featuring pretty papers, die cuts/ephemera and dies from Uniquely Creative, along with some amazing adhesives (and other products) from Scrapbook Adhesives! Yep, Scrapbook Adhesives is collaborating with Uniquely Creative and I had such a good time using products from both companies to create this mixed media tag!
Using a Uniquely Creative Slim Stitched Nesting Tag Die, I cut the tag base from CutCardStock Glama Brown Kraft cardstock. Then the fun began layering patterned paper, cardstock, die cuts and other pieces of ephemera from the Uniquely Creative Delighted Curiosities collection using the E-Z Runner® Grand Permanent Strips Refillable Dispenser and Dual Tip Glue Pen.
I inked the edges of some of the pieces with Ranger Hickory Smoke distress ink on a dauber. I popped some of the elements up with Thin 3D Foam Squares White Mix and 3D Foam Squares White Mix – these are 1mm and 2mm thick respectively and gave different heights of dimension. I also used the Keep It Simple Cheerful Cottage stamp set to stamp cross and double stitching in random spots in Memento Olive Grove ink using an acrylic block.
I employed the Wear Your Adhesive on the Outside technique three times on this tag – the first with a strip of foiled squares down the left side created with E-Z Squares® Refillable Dispenser and crumpled brown and bronze foil from the Metallic Transfer Foil Sheets Nature Colors. The second instance was the application of green flock onto several 3D Foam Squares Micro White and then placed in diamond orientation in random spots on the tag.
The third instance of the Wear Your Adhesive on the Outside was created with blue embossing powder heated onto 3D Foam Strips with my heat tool. I cut the strip in different sized pieces and placed them on the right edge toward the bottom for a little interest. To use the term FUN would be an understatement… I had an absolute blast making this!
