Yay! to your retirement

Hey everybody, Happy Friday! Only one more Friday to go, then this month is a bust! I’m delighted to share an Emily Moore Designs DT inspiration project with you today, created with a variety of products that you may notice I use a lot and have become fast favorites (wink-wink). This retirement card features the Confetti Layered Stencils, Yay! Layered Word Die, Graduation & Retirement stamp set, and Card Sentiment Dies. I also used Simon’s Gold Lunar Paste and a couple Scrapbook Adhesives products that Emily sells in her store. If you want to shop and you’re a new customer, remember to use my code LESLIE10 for 10% off your order! The tented easel card is one of my favorite fun folds because it’s so easy to make and sure packs a punch. So, I guess you could say this card is a win-win!

Before I get going, the measurements for this card are as follows:
1. Card base is 4-1/4″ x 11″, scored at 4-1/4″ and 8-1/2″, making the folded card 4-1/4″ square.
2. Front layering panel is 4″ x 4″.
3. Bottom layering panel is 2-1/4″ x 4″.
4. White layering panel for the inside cut at 4″ x 4″.

I started by creating the background on a piece of CutCardStock Savoy Brilliant White Cotton cardstock affixed to my Ranger-Wendy Vecchi Make Art Stay-tion 7″ with the magnets. Then I gathered the Confetti Layered Stencils, three Memento inks, some blending brushes, and Simon Hurley Gold Rush Lunar Paste and a spatula. While the panel was drying, I cut the Yay! sentiment from CutCardStock Bright Gold Foil and Basis Dark Red cardstock and assembled it using Scrapbook Adhesives 4×6 adhesive sheet on the back of the layers.

I cut the card base and a few strips (of varying widths) from Basis Dark Red cardstock along with more strips from CutCardStock Lessebo White, Lessebo Brick Orange and Lessebo Sunflower Yellow, which I adhered in diagonal fashion on a piece of white copy paper (again with a Scrapbook Adhesives 4×6 adhesive sheet), trimmed to 2-1/4″ x 4″, and adhered it to the bottom of the card base. At this point, the stenciled background was dry, so I trimmed it to 4″ x 4″ and adhered it to the card base as well, along with the sentiment.

I stamped the congrats sentiment from the Graduation & Retirement Stamp Set in Memento Rhubarb Stalk ink on a scrap piece of Lessebo White, cut it with a die from the Card Sentiment Dies, and popped it up on American Crafts thick adhesive foam squares. In addition to adding another sentiment, this served as the stopper.

I cut the inside panel at 4″ x 4″ from Lessebo White cardstock and embellished it with a leftover strip cut from the stenciled panel on the front and a very thin strip of Basis Red cardstock. I stamped another sentiment from the Graduation & Retirement Stamp Set in Memento Rhubarb Stalk ink, and layered the panel on a piece of Bright Gold Foil cardstock.

Scrappy hugs,

Thank You Snow Much

Hey everybody, Happy Friday! It seems like the weeks are flying by this year just as quickly as last year, lol! I’m up on the Emily Moore Designs blog today with a DT inspiration project featuring our Ornament Gift Card Holder Die. We always need cards to thank those who sent Christmas gifts, and this die is perfect! This shaped card opens at the top and has a foiled panel adhered to the front where a gift card would go. When the card is opened, the gift card is on the inside covering a sentiment/signature panel. How fun to give a gift for receiving a gift, although this design could be made with or without a gift card. So stinkin’ cute!

I created a top-folding card base from Solar White cardstock using the Ornament Gift Card Holder Die. This is easy to do with just about any die by making sure it’s positioned slightly over the fold in the cardstock so the cardstock is not cut entirely in two. I cut the front and inside panels from Hot Off The Press Snowfall double-sided papers and adhered them to the card base. I cut the ornament top from CutCardStock Silver Glitter cardstock and colored it with a BT5 alcohol marker to match the patterned paper.

I ran a Pajama Crafter Stamps Chillin’ Flashcard through my Scotch Laminator with a piece of Therm O Web Deco Foil Glass Slipper foil and trimmed it the size of a gift card. I added a tiny clear gemstone colored with a BT5 alcohol marker and adhered the flashcard to the card front in the spot where a gift card would go. I die cut a loop and charm from CutCardStock Bright Silver Foil cardstock and embellished it with a tiny clear gemstone also colored with the BT5 alcohol marker.

For the inside, I cut a signature panel slightly smaller than the size of a gift card and adhered it in the center where it would be hidden beneath the gift card. I added a sentiment cut out from the Snowfall paper pack, which completed the project.

Scrappy hugs,

cue the confetti!

Hey everybody, Happy Friday! I hope the first half of the first month of 2025 is going well for you. I’m delighted to share a DT inspiration project for Emily Moore Designs featuring the NEW Decorative Sentiment Dies and All The Happy Things stamp set. If you haven’t yet checked out these new products released on January 1st, you are in for a surprise… fun stuff, for sure! And to save you a few bucks, these two are available in the Decorative and Happy Bundle! And if you’re a new customer, don’t forget to use my code LESLIE10 for 10% off your order!

The double flap fun fold is one of my favorites and I thought it would make an excellent card for new grandparents, so that’s the direction I went, using a pink and purple color combo. I also used the Yay! Layered Word Die, Confetti Layered Stencils, Simon Hurley Silver Lining Lunar Paste and the Graduation & Retirement stamp set, all of which compliment these new products in a most awesome way.

I started by creating the background on CutCardStock Savoy Brilliant White Cotton cardstock using the Confetti Layered Stencils, Ranger picked raspberry and shaded lilac distress inks and a couple blending brushes, and Simon Hurley Silver Lining Lunar Paste and a spatula. While it was drying, I cut a flag, small heart and sentiment banner from Doodlebug Design Floral-Graph Rainbow Petite Prints, CutCardStock Silk Glitter Silvermist cardstock and a Solar White cardstock scrap, all using the Decorative Sentiment Dies, and set them aside.

I cut the card base, a stitched circle die cut (using the Love From Lizi Stitched Circle Nested Cutting Dies), and the focal using the (Yay! Layered Word Die) from American Crafts Taffy cardstock. I cut layering panels from Doodlebug Design Plaid-Polka Dot and Floral-Graph Rainbow Petite Prints. The confetti background was dry at this point so I cut a stitched circle using a slightly smaller die from the Love From Lizi Stitched Circle Nested Cutting Dies. I assembled the card, and the final step was stamping a sentiment from the All The Happy Things stamp set on the banner in the picked raspberry distress ink and popping it up on 3D Foam Squares.

I cut the inside panel from Solar White cardstock and embellished it with a leftover strip of paper from the Floral-Graph Rainbow Petite Prints. I stamped two sentiments (one from the All The Happy Things stamp set and the other from the Graduation & Retirement stamp set) in the picked raspberry and shaded lilac distress inks. LOVE how this turned out!

Scrappy hugs,

Congratulations tri-fold

Hey everybody, can you believe 2025 is here already?! As quickly as 2024 passed us by, it’ll be Christmas again before we know it… LOL! I’m up on the Emily Moore Designs blog today with a sweet new home card featuring our NEW All The Happy Things stamp set and Decorative Sentiment Dies. These two new products are available in a bundle for a discounted price, so look for the Decorative and Happy Bundle on the website, and if you’re a new customer, be sure to use my code LESLIE10 for 10% off your order! I also used the Gift Card Holder With A Bow for this tri-fold and I love how it turned out. I’ve made quite a few tri-folds recently; it truly is one of the easiest fun folds ever.

I cut a 5-1/2″ x 8-1/2″ card base from CutCardStock Basis Dark Red cardstock and scored it at 4-1/4″. Next, I cut an additional 4-5/8” x 5-1/2” panel and scored it at 3/8″, then adhered it to the right edge of the card base on the 3/8″ flap to create the tri-fold. I cut several 1/4″ strips from Celebration Warehouse Dark Red Wine Non-Shedding Glitter cardstock along with several 1/8” strips from CutCardStock Basis Natural cardstock. I adhered two of each strip in a vertical orientation and two in a horizontal orientation on the cart front, slightly separating each pair. I wove them for a little interest.

Using the dies in the Gift Card Holder With A Bow set, I created a bow from the Basis Dark Red and Dark Red Wine Glitter cardstock and adhered it to the cross-section of the strips. Finally, I stamped the sentiment from the All The Happy Things stamp set in Memento Rhubarb Stalk ink which I cut using the label-type die in the Decorative Sentiment Dies and popped up on 3D Foam Squares.

For the tri-fold flap, I used the larger decorative edge rectangle die in the Decorative Sentiment Dies to cut a panel from the Basis Dark Red for a gift card. I cut a slightly larger panel from Basis Natural using the paper trimmer and rounded the corners to match the corners of the decorative edge die cut. Using the Gift Card Holder Die With A Bow set, I cut a gift card holder from Fred She Said Floral Surprises digital paper and trimmed it to fit inside the decorative edges of the die cut.

For the inside, I cut a 4-1/8” x 5-3/8” panel from the same Fred She Said digital paper. I have hundreds (if not thousands) of digital paper files on my laptop and I’m going to start using them! ;) Using the smaller decorative edge rectangle die in the Decorative Sentiment Dies, I cut a sentiment panel from Basis Natural. I stamped another sentiment from the All The Happy Things stamp set in Rhubarb Stalk ink and adhered it to the inside panel.

Scrappy hugs,

Merry Christmas ornament shaker

Hey everybody, I’m back with a second post on this fine Friday morning. Only one more Friday in December and I can’t believe how quickly the weeks continue to fly by – Christmas will be here in a flash! I’m delighted to share an Emily Moore Designs DT inspiration project created with our awesome Ornament Gift Card Holder Die, along with our Christmas Sayings-Dainty Cursive Font Digital Sentiments and Card Sentiment Dies used on the inside. I went ‘outside the box’ a bit with this card and used the ornament die to cut a shaker aperture into the card flap rather than use the gift card holder element, and I love how it turned out. Shaker cards never disappoint!

I cut a 5-1/2″ square top-folding card base from Neenah Classic Crest Solar White along with layering panels from a couple prints in the Keep It Simple Back To Basics Rose 12×12 Collection Pack. Using the Ornament Gift Card Holder Die, I cut the shaker aperture into the front flap and added the ornament top which I cut from CutCardStock Bright Gold Foil. I created the shaker using Grafix Craft Plastic, Scrapbook Adhesives Crafty Power Tape and GKD Shaker Strips.

I used a variety of Keep It Simple Sprinkles for the shaker bits, and then added a large sentiment which I die cut from CutCardStock Gold Glitter cardstock using the Sizzix Ribbon Thinlits. I have to say that these Sizzix Thinlits are pretty popular because I realized a while ago that I also used them on my other project posted earlier this morning, lol! Totally unintentional, as I made the other project several months ago! :P

I cut the inside panel from Solar White cardstock and embellished it with leftover strips of the plaid paper and gold foil cardstock used on the front. I printed the Christmas Sayings Digital Sentiments (a free download, by the way) on Solar White cardstock as well, and cut it with a Card Sentiment Die. It’s very cool that Emily sized the digital sentiments to cut with the Card Sentiment Dies!

Scrappy hugs,

wishing you joy & laughter

Hey everybody! I hope you’ve had a great week and have something fun planned this weekend. I’m up on the Emily Moore Designs blog today with a DT inspiration project featuring our Gift Card Holder Die With a Bow
and Mini Gift Tag Holiday Sayings (free download). I created a fun sloth-themed diagonal pocket card (one of my favorite fun folds) as my debut project for this new design team and I’m over the moon excited!

The card base is 5-1/2″ x 8-1/2″ and scored at 4-1/4″ which I cut from CutCardStock Astrobrights Eclipse Black. I sliced the front flap off at an angle (from top left to bottom right) and adhered two prints from the Traci Vanover Designs Embrace The Chill 6×6 paper pad to the diagonal flap and inside back. Next, I glued the flap across the bottom to form the pocket and added horizontal and vertical strips cut from CutCardStock Habanero Red to align with the bow detail on the mini card. The finishing touch was adding three trees to the card base, fussy cut from an ephemera sheet in the sloth paper pad.

I created the base for the mini card using the gift card holder die in the set, cut from the Astrobrights Eclipse Black cardstock. I cut a flap from another print in the sloth paper pad measuring 3-1/2″ x 5-1/4″ and scored at 1/2″ on the long side, which I adhered to the gift card holder base. Using the bow dies in the set, I created the bow from the Habanero Red cardstock and set it aside. I cut another set of horizontal and vertical strips which I adhered to the front of the mini card, lining up with the strips on the card base. I adhered the bow, popping the left side up on adhesive foam squares so the mini card will slide in and out of the pocket nicely.

I printed the Mini Gift Tag Holiday Sayings on Neenah Classic Crest 80# Solar White cardstock. I cut one of them with the mini gift tag die in the set, tied a gold metallic thread bow, and adhered it with a thin adhesive foam square. I fussy cut a couple more pieces of ephemera from the sloth paper pad and adhered them to the inside center of the mini card base so they’re hidden under the gift card.
