Don’t be sad

Hey everybody! Happy Hump Day! I’ve popped in this morning to share another Kat Scrappiness Creative Influencer inspiration project with you! As much as I enjoyed making this mini slimline, it really tugged at my heart strings. This stamp set was part of the release that came out shortly after we had to put Milo, one of our inside cats, to rest in early August due to cancer. He was just a few weeks shy of his fifth birthday and was such a sweet boy. But he’s in a better place, and this card is dedicated to him. I used the amazing Rainbow Bridge stamp set along with the Mini Slimline Stitched Rope Dies. I know I’ve mentioned many times that I absolutely love the selection of 3-1/2″ x 6″ mini slimline dies available at Kat Scrappiness, which is my go-to size.

I cut a mini slimline size card base from Neenah Classic Crest 110# Solar White cardstock along with a die cut layering panel from CutCardStock Pop Tone Lemon Drop cardstock and a trimmed panel from 80# Solar White cardstock. Using the Rainbow Bridge stamp set, I stamped the bridge on 110# Solar White cardstock, colored it with alcohol markers (and added some clear sparkle overlay), then fussy cut it. I stamped the kitty before adhering the bridge to the white cardstock panel, and then stamped the sentiment. The finishing touch was adding several Eyelet Outlet yellow enamel dots. I also made a coordinating envelope from Pop Tone Lemon Drop and Sunny Studio Striped Silly cardstock using the Mini Slimline Snail Mail Envelope Dies.

I cut the inside panel from 80# Solar White cardstock along with another die cut layering panel from CutCardStock Pop Tone Lemon Drop cardstock. I embellished it with strips of white cardstock and striped pattern paper, and stamped another sentiment from the Rainbow Bridge stamp set.

Scrappy hugs,

Congrats see-through shaker

Hey everybody! Happy Hump Day – I hope you’re having a great week! I’ve popped in today to share another Kat Scrappiness Creative Influencer inspiration project! I’ve been playing (again) with the Kat Scrappiness Oopsie Daisy Layered Stamp Set and coordinating dies, along with the Kat Scrappiness Mini slimline Postage Stamp Edge Dies and Congrats Word Die, and created a pretty congrats card. I love shaker cards, and rather than creating one with a traditional shaker, I created a see-through shaker element on this card that really gives it some pizzazz!

I cut a standard A2 size side-folding card base from Neenah Classic Crest 110# Solar White cardstock along with a layering panel from Sunny Studio Striped Silly cardstock. I cut an aperture into the card front with a Kat Scrappiness Mini slimline Postage Stamp Edge Die.

Using my We R Memory Keepers Fuse Tool and a pouch, I created a shaker element (with a blue and clear sequin mix sample that Kat tucked into one of my orders), adhered it to the back of the aperture, and concealed the edges of the pouch with a white cardstock frame to give it a clean finished look.

I stamped and die cut a single daisy (using the Kat Scrappiness Oopsie Daisy stamps and dies) which I adhered to the bottom right corner of the aperture. I used the Kat Scrappiness Congrats Word Die for the main sentiment, cut from Solar White cardstock.

I cut the inside panel from 80# Solar White cardstock along with layering panels from CutCardStock Royal Sundance Midnight Blue Linen cardstock and Sunny Studio Striped Silly cardstock. The sentiment is computer-generated and placed so it’s visible through the see-through shaker.

Scrappy hugs,

hello mini slimline note card

Hi friends! Has it begun cooling off yet where you are?! Our morning temps here have been glorious for the last few weeks but it still gets pretty warm in the afternoons. We’re SO ready for some Fall weather! I’m super stoked to share that I’ve been chosen to join the Kat Scrappiness Creative Influencers and I’ve popped in this morning to share my debut inspiration project! I created a CAS mini slimline note card with a pretty tone-on-tone framed quilted background.

I used the KS Mini Slimline Quilted Backdrop Die and KS Mini Slimline Tri-Frame Die to create the background which I adhered to a 3-1/2″ x 6″ mini slimline card base. Using the Oopsie Daisy Layered Stamps and Oopsie Daisy Coordinating Dies, I created the daisy cluster which I adhered to the bottom right corner with foam squares. I used the hello die from the KS Reversed Scallop Mini Slimline with Hello Dies to die cut the sentiment. The finishing touch was adding 3mm Sparkling Clear Droplets to the background.

I used a KS Mini Slimline Tri-Frame Die to embellish the inside panel. Since this is a note card, I left the panel blank with plenty of room to write a custom message.
