Warm Wishes for a chill brr-thday

Hey everybody! Happy Monday – I hope you had a great weekend! I’m stoked to be back with another Keep It Simple DT inspiration project to share that I created with the new oh-so-cute Penguin Party Collection! This pop up block card has quickly become one of my favorite fun folds and I used some clear acetate on the front of this one for these cuties to hang out on with their string of fish! Totally love how it turned out! If you like the Keep It Simple products I’ve used and are inclined to shop, be sure to use my discount code LoveToScrap2 at checkout to save 10% on your entire order! There is no minimum purchase requirement and no usage limits, plus the code combines with product, order, and shipping discounts!

I cut the card base from CutCardStock Lessebo Arctic Blue cardstock along with layering panels from coordinating papers in the Penguin Party 12×12 Collection Pack and the Back To Basics Jade 12×12 Collection Pack. I stamped the sentiment and images from the Penguins Collection Stamps in Memento Tuxedo Black ink and colored the images with alcohol markers. I cut them all with the coordinating Penguins Outline Dies and assembled them on a clear acetate panel on the card front.

I added a back panel cut from Solar White cardstock and embellished it with a patterned paper strip from the Penguin Party 12×12 Collection Pack. I stamped another sentiment from the Penguin Party Collection Stamps in black ink and cut it with the coordinating Penguin Party Outline Dies. I added a small fish from the Phrases Die Cut Pieces and layered the panel on a paper from the Jade 12×12 Collection Pack.

I embellished the card with a variety of die cuts from the Sent With Love Die Cut Pieces and Sent With Love Words & Phrases Die Cut Pieces, and used Clear Enamel Dots on the tail lights. Scrappy hugs,

Winter Memories backpack mini album

Howdy peeps! I hope you’re having a great day! I’ve popped in this afternoon with my second post of the day to share a Keep It Simple inspiration project created with the new Backpack Mini Album Dies that were also released two days ago! You know how I love me some mini albums and I just had to create one with a Winter theme to document all those fun Winter activities! I’ve made several backpack mini albums over the years with old handwritten instructions, and you can’t even imagine how excited I am to have a set of dies to make them! If you like the Keep It Simple products I’ve used and are inclined to shop, be sure to use my discount code LoveToScrap2 at checkout to save 10% on your entire order! There is no minimum purchase requirement and no usage limits, plus the code combines with product, order, and shipping discounts!

I cut the album base and pages from CutCardStock Basis 80# White 12×12 cardstock and layering panels from coordinating papers in the new Penguin party 6×9 Collection Pack.

I embellished the pages with stitched ovals, circles, rectangles and squares cut with the Nested Dies along with an assortment of die cuts from the Penguins and Phrases Die Cut Pieces. There are also pull-ups and pull-outs on several of the pages. I used Lilac Ribbon for the straps and Lilac Enamel Dots for the closures (along with velcro circles). I thoroughly enjoyed putting this together and it won’t be long before I make another one! ;)

Scrappy hugs,

Sending Hugs & Kisses

Hey everybody, Happy Tuesday! It’s been snowing on and off for a couple days here and we have about a foot on the ground with lots of drifts because it has been pretty windy, too. Definitely good days to stay inside and craft! I’m thrilled to share a Keep It Simple DT inspiration project created with the new Sent With Love Collection! This collection was just released two days ago and it’s plum full of gorgeous papers, stamps, dies, die cut pieces, and stencils! There are ribbons and enamel shapes already in the store that coordinate very nicely with this collection, AND there are new shaker bits!

I created a rotating center circle fun fold featuring papers and die cut pieces from this new collection, and I totally love how it turned out! My inspiration came from Purple_Girl_Crafts on You Tube and her video for this one is HERE. So fun! If you like the Keep It Simple products I’ve used and are inclined to shop, be sure to use my discount code LoveToScrap2 at checkout to save 10% on your entire order! There is no minimum purchase requirement and no usage limits, plus the code combines with product, order, and shipping discounts!

The square card base was cut from CutCardStock Lessebo Cherry cardstock. I used coordinating papers from the 6×9 Collection Pack for the layering panels and rotating circle mechanism, and added die cuts from the Sent With Love Die Cut Pieces to the center of the circle. Since the star of the show is on the inside, I added a back panel which I embellished with a strip from another coordinating paper and a die cut sentiment.

Here’s a short video showing the card opening and closing! I’m so enamored with this fold, I can’t stand it! ;)

Scrappy hugs,

let it snow

Hey everybody! Well, another week is behind us and we’re headed into a glorious weekend! A little chilly but absolutely wonderful! I’m delighted to share a Keep It Simple DT inspiration project today created with the amazing Snow Day Collection! This collection was released back in mid October and the fun continues with the snow globe die cut into the front flap on this Winter-themed card! If you like the Keep It Simple products I’ve used and are inclined to shop, be sure to use my discount code LoveToScrap2 at checkout to save 10% on your entire order! There is no minimum purchase requirement and no usage limits, plus the code combines with product, order, and shipping discounts!

The card base was cut from Neenah Classic Crest 80# Solar white cardstock along with layering panels from coordinating papers in the 6×9 Collection Pack. The snow globe and inside scene (from the Snow Globe stamps) were stamped in Memento Tuxedo Black ink, colored with a variety of markers, and cut with the coordinating Snow Globe Outline Dies. The snowy background inside the snow globe was stamped in Catherine Pooler Tranquil ink (using the Snow Background stamp), then again in Versamark, and heat embossed with Hero Arts Clear Embossing Powder.

I die cut the snow globe shape into the front flap and then assembled it behind the patterned paper layer. I added several snowflakes stamped with the Snow Day stamps and die cut with the coordinating Snow Day Outline Dies, along with a couple clear enamel dots on the bottom strip.

I embellished the inside panel with a leftover strip of the patterned paper used on the front. The sentiment was stamped using the Snow Day Stamps and cut with the coordinating Snow Day Outline Dies, and then the panel was layered on a red paper from the 12×12 Collection Pack.

Scrappy hugs,

fishing you a happy day

Hi friends, Happy Friday! It’s so surreal to be staring the end of 2023 right square in the eyes… it’ll be history in a couple days! I’m excited to share a Keep It Simple DT inspiration project with you created with the new Penguin Party Collection! OMGoodness, talk about cuteness overload! This accordion center panel card features papers, stamps and dies from this adorable collection. This is a great fun fold that is really easy despite it’s complex look – it’s the second one I’ve made and I see more of these in my future for sure!

The card base and folded center panel were cut from CutCardStock Lessebo Arctic Blue and Lessebo Aubergine cardstock and embellished with papers from the 12×12 Collection Pack. I created a scene on the folded center panel with stamped images from the Igloo Stamps that I colored with alcohol markers and cut with the coordinating Igloo Outline Dies. I added a sentiment stamped from the same stamp set and cut with the same outline dies. The finishing touch was adding corners from the Lilac 12×12 Collection Pack ephemera to the bottom of the innermost narrow panels for a little interest.

I cut the inside panel of the center folded element from CutCardStock Lessebo White cardstock and embellished it with a strip of the paper used on the front. I stamped a sentiment from the Penguins Stamps which completed the card.

Scrappy hugs,

Pure Imagination

Hey everybody, Happy Saturday! Christmas will be here in a couple days and then in another week we’ll be headed into a brand new year. Can you believe it?! I’m thrilled to be back with another Keep It Simple DT inspiration project to share created with the new Pure Imagination Collection. I created a fun tuxedo box card featuring papers and die cut pieces. My inspiration came from Sam Calcott over at Mixed Up Craft. She is amazing and makes some of the coolest projects!

The tuxedo card base was cut from CutCardStock Cougar Smooth White cardstock along with layers from several coordinating papers in the 6×9 Collection Pack. I cut acetate strips and adhered an assortment of Die Cut Pieces to the ends with Therm-O-Web Zots, and then arranged them in the box card. The finishing touch was adding a die cut sentiment to the front.

I layered the back panels on a paper from the Collection Pack and added sentiment die cuts.

Scrappy hugs,

Snow Day

Hey everybody! Happy Weekend – I hope you’re having a good one! I’m delighted to be back with another Keep It Simple DT inspiration project to share created with the amazing Snow Day Collection that was released in mid-October! Everything about this collection is amazing – the colors and patterns of the papers, stamps, dies, and die cut pieces! I created a double flap fun fold featuring papers, stamps and dies, and I absolutely love how it turned out! This is one of several ‘double flap fun fold’ versions and I just love it!

The card base and circle flap were cut from CutCardStock Basis White cardstock and embellished with coordinating papers from the 12×12 Collection Pack. I used the Stitched Circles Nested Dies to cut the circle flap and layer. A sentiment and several images were stamped from the Collection Stamps and images colored with alcohol markers. I cut all with the coordinating Outline Dies and arranged them on the circle flap.

I embellished the inside panel with a strip of paper used on the front, stamped a sentiment from the Collection Stamps and layered the panel on another paper from the Collection Pack.

Scrappy hugs,

snow much fun

Hey everybody! I hope you’re having a fabulous weekend! We’re inching closer and closer to Christmas, and the Keep It Simple design team is doing a Christmas Countdown December 1-12! This is Day 10 and it’s my day to share a project featuring papers, stamps, dies and die cut pieces from the amazing Snow Day Collection! I created this faux step card based on a photo I saw online and I don’t remember now who deserves the credit, but it’s just a half-size double easel with a tall panel. Super easy and looks really cute!

I cut the double easel card base from Neenah Classic Crest 80# Solar White cardstock and layering panels from coordinating papers in the Snow Day 6×9 Collection Pack. I created a couple snow banks from white cardstock and added images stamped from the Snow Globe Stamps and cut with the coordinating Snow Globe Outline Dies to create the scene on the tall panel. Clear enamel dots and sentiments from the Words and Phrases Die Cut Pieces were added to complete the card front.

I embellished the inside panel with leftover strips of the papers used on the front and stamped a sentiment from the Snow Day Collection Stamp.

Scrappy hugs,

just imagine

Hey everybody! I hope you’re having a fantastic weekend and it’s not too cold where you are! It has snowed here a couple times and it’s pretty chilly… just how we like it! I’ve popped in this morning to share a Keep It Simple DT inspiration project created with items in the NEW Pure Imagination Collection which is the biggest release of the year! Hopefully you’re following Keep It Simple on social media because there have been some pretty cool Black Friday Weekend promotions advertised – starting with a scavenger hunt on the website and a Cricut Maker giveaway! Dayummm! I created a super cute 4″ square diorama card featuring papers, stamps and dies from this awesome new collection!

The card base was cut from Solar White cardstock and embellished with coordinating papers from the 12×12 Collection Pack. The sentiments and images were stamped from the Golden Ticket and Let’s Play Collection Stamps, colored with alcohol markers, and cut with the coordinating Golden Ticket and Let’s Play Outline Dies. Some of them were popped up on foam strips. Several enamel hearts were used to complete the card front. I used the Stitched Circles Nested Dies to cut the circular aperture with frame on the inside. There’s nothing cuter than opening this card and seeing that adorable little fella with the golden ticket!

The back panel is also embellished with coordinating prints and a stamped and die cut sentiment. This is another fun fold that folds flat for mailing. I love that!
