Drink Up, Witches!

Hey everybody! I hope you’re having an awesome week – it’s Friday! I’m delighted to be back with an inspiration project to share for Keep It Simple DT! I just love seeing all the spooky and not-so-spooky Halloween projects this time of year! Our design team has created some awesome projects and we’re having a social media HOP to share some last-minute Halloween project ideas today, tomorrow and Sunday! There’s a full HOP list on my Instagram post HERE if you want to hop along!

If you are hopping along – and hopefully enjoying our design team projects – then you’ve landed here because I’m the last stop on the hop! And I have blog candy! If you are participating in the HOP and you’d like to get in on the chance to win a prize pack from me, I invite you to (1) follow me on Instagram, (2) follow me here on my blog, and (3) leave a comment on this post telling me your favorite drink! I’ll draw a winner on Monday, October 30th!

I created a very cool pop out gatefold card featuring papers and die cut pieces from the ‘A Wee Bit Wicked’ Collection! I am totally in love with literally everything in this collection! My inspiration for this fold came from Sandie on the Stampingbella DT. Her tutorial is HERE on the Stampingbella blog if you’re interested. It was definitely a fun one and I totally love how it turned out!

I cut the card base from Neenah Classic Crest 110# Solar White cardstock along with layering panels from coordinating prints in the A Wee Bit Wicked 6×9 Collection Pack. I used quite a few die cuts from the A Wee Bit Wicked Wee Bits Die Cut Pieces to embellish the card. I used a piece of black thread to connect the spiders to the web.

Here’s a shot of the card closed and folded flat for mailing. There is room on the back for a signature and optional message which I didn’t photograph.

Scrappy hugs,

hello Winter

Hi friends! I hope you’re having a great weekend! I have an awesome Keep It Simple DT inspiration project to share today created with papers, die cut pieces, stamps and dies in the new Snow Day Collection! OMGoodness, yumminess to the third degree here, folks! The colors in this collection are amazing and absolutely fitting for Winter-themed projects! I created a double pleated card, also known as a drapery fold, with a little twist. Our papers are robust, so instead of folding the paper, I cut it in strips and reassembled it. This took a little extra time but yielded a very cool design which was flatter than it would have been folded.

I cut a standard A2 size side-folding landscape card base from Neenah Classic Crest 110# Solar White cardstock along with a layering panel from a navy paper in the 12×12 Collection Pack. I cut the pleated panel from a coordinating print and instead of folding, I cut it in strips and reassembled it. I added a horizontal strip across the front of the panel and added the sentiment pieces from the Words and Phrases Die Cut Pieces. The finishing touch was adding several Clear Enamel Dots.

I cut the inside panel from 80# Solar White cardstock and embellished it with a leftover triangle cut from the pleated panel on the front. I stamped a sentiment in Memento Paris Dusk ink from the Collection Stamp and cut it with an Outline Die. The final step was adhering the panel to a navy layer.

Scrappy hugs,

You’re Awesome

Hey everybody! Happy Tuesday – I hope your week is off to a nice start! I’m delighted to share that the Keep It Simple design team has embarked on a new adventure called Technique Tuesday and I’m the first one to have a go at it! On the third Tuesday of every month our DT members will take turns showcasing a project featuring some sort of fun technique they’ve employed using Keep It Simple products of their choice, and will do a mini tutorial on it.

I created a slimline thank you card featuring the phantom die cutting technique which I absolutely love. I used papers from the Farmhouse Fall collection, Belle Outline Dies and Thank You Sentiments Stamp Set. And the best part is that I upcycled a piece of an empty tissue box. Don’t throw them away when they’re empty because they make the prettiest cards! This one goes perfectly with the green Farmhouse Fall papers!

(1) Using the Belle Outline Dies, die cut the sentiment into the card panel (upcycled tissue box).
(2) Die cut the same letters from white craft foam.
(3) Adhere the card panel to a patterned paper layer cut from a green paper in the Farmhouse Fall 12×12 Cardstock Pack.

Adhere the foam letters into the negative spaces.

Adhere the original letters cut from the card panel on top of the foam letters.

This is an angled view of the ‘phantom’ die cut letters.

This is the completed card front. The smaller stamped portion of the sentiment is from the Thank You Sentiments Stamp Set, stamped on a scrap piece of the green paper used for the layering panel, heat embossed in white, and layered on a scrap piece of Solar White cardstock. Two small Jade enamel dots were added for a little interest.

This is the completed card inside. The embellishing strip was cut from a paper in the 6×9 Cardstock Pack and the layering panel was cut from a paper in the 12×12 Cardstock Pack. The stamped sentiment is from the Thank You Sentiments Stamp Set.

Scrappy hugs,

Autumn-my favorite time of year

Hey everybody! I hope you’re having a fabulous weekend! I’m stoked to be back with another Keep It Simple DT inspiration project to share today! This sweet mini bendi card was created with papers and die cut pieces from the newly re-released Farmhouse Fall Collection! This is definitely a wonderful time of the year and all the products in this collection are just amazing and make the most wonderful Autumn- and Fall-themed projects!

I cut the mini bendi card base, elements and layering panels from double-sided papers in the 12×12 Cardstock Pack, 12×12 Collection Pack and the 6×9 Collection Pack. I grabbed quite a few pieces of ephemera from the Falling For You Die Cut Pieces and went to town putting it all together! The finishing touch was adding a couple Jade Enamel Dots to horizontal panel. This was definitely a fun one!

I used the Stitched Rectangles Nested Dies to cut two panels from CutCardStock Basis Natural cardstock for the back, and added a couple more pieces of ephemera to complete the card.

Scrappy hugs,

The Moon Made Me Do It

Hey everybody! Happy Sunday and first day of October! I hope you’re having a great weekend! I’m having THE best time creating inspiration projects for Keep It Simple using items in the A Wee Bit Wicked Collection! The possibilities are literally endless for making too-cute-to-spook projects with all these fun stamps, dies, and die cut pieces! I created an adorable half-flap fun fold in one of my favorite color combos of yellow and purple using quite a few items in the collection and paper from two other collections!

I cut the standard A2 size side folding card base from Neenah Classic Crest 80# Solar White cardstock, cut the front flap in half horizontally, and adhered the top flap to the card base. I cut layering panels from yellow cardstock in the Craft Mode 6×9 Cardstock Pack and adhered them to the card base. I stamped a cluster of stars from The Moon Made Me Do It Stamps on the top panel and a large sentiment (from the same stamp set) on the bottom panel.

I stamped the moon, clouds, and a bat (also from the same stamp set) on Solar White cardstock and cut them with the coordinating The Moon Made Me Do It Outline Dies. I filled in the moon with Catherine Pooler Pixie Dust ink and colored the crevices with a Kirarina Wink violet marker. I affixed the bat to the moon, popping it up on a small foam square. I die cut several stars from CutCardStock Basis Black using the Halloqueen Sentiments Outline Dies and added them to the top and bottom panels.

I cut the inside panel from Solar White cardstock, adhered a sentiment from the Cards and Phrases Die Cut pieces, and layered the panel on purple cardstock from the Pajama Party 6×9 Cardstock Pack.

Autumn Charm

Howdy peeps! Happy Friday! Can you believe we only have a couple more days left of this month?! I’m excited to share another Keep It Simple DT inspiration project with you today! This awesome 6-sided pinwheel twist card features papers, die cuts and stamps in the Autumn Charm Collection! I love, love, love all the products in this collection! And you know how I love me some fun folds… I chose this particular one (from a Splitcoast Stampers tutorial HERE) so I could show off a bunch of the papers and die cuts, and I think it worked out pretty well. I’ve only made one of these 6-sided beauties prior to this one and it has not been shared yet. It’s definitely a fun one!

I cut the card base from CutCardStock Cougar Smooth 100# White cardstock along with layering panels from papers in the 6×9 Collection Pack. I assembled the card and added die cuts from the Hedgehogs Die Cut Pieces and Foxes Die Cut Pieces to all the larger panels. I stamped a sentiment from the Autumn Sentiment Stamps in Memento Tuxedo Black ink on a pumpkin on one of the panels, which completed the card. LOVE how this turned out!

Hello, friends! Happy Thursday! I have another awesome Keep It Simple DT inspiration project to share today created with items in the Farmhouse Fall Collection! Autumn/Fall is my favorite time of the year and I just can’t get enough of all the gorgeous products in this collection. Besides the pretty papers, I used several die cut pieces, but the star of the show on this pretty slimline card is a chipboard word that I colored with an alcohol marker and embellished with a metallic marker for a little interest.

I cut my go-to size 3-3/4″ x 9″ slimline card base from CutCardStock Basis 110# White cardstock along with layering panels from the 12×12 Cardstock Pack and 6×9 Collection Pack. I adhered a strip of washi tape to a Basis 80# White cardstock strip and adhered it horizontally across the top layering panel, and then added a couple topaz gemstones on each side. I colored the chipboard word with an alcohol marker, added dots with a copper metallic marker, and adhered it to the card front. The final touch was adding a couple die cuts from the Falling For You Die Cut Pieces.

I cut the inside panel from CutCardStock Basis 80# White cardstock and embellished it with strips of the paper from the 12×12 Cardstock Pack and 6×9 Collection Pack used on the front along with another die cut piece that I layered on a paper scrap.

Hey everybody! Happy Saturday! Well, another week has come to a close and I hope you have something fun planned this weekend! I’m delighted to be back with another Keep It Simple DT inspiration project to share today! I’m always in the mood to create a fun fold and the front step card is one of my all-time favorite folds. I used papers and die cut pieces from the Farmhouse Fall Collection that I totally love. Warm, cozy and inviting are the best three words I can think of to describe this Autumn/Fall-themed collection!

I cut the card base from Neenah Classic Crest 80# Solar White cardstock along with layering panels from the 12×12 Cardstock Pack and 6×9 Collection Pack. I assembled the card, using several die cuts from the Falling For You Die Cut Pieces along with several adhesive buttons from the Clementine collection.

I cut the back panel from Solar White cardstock and embellished it with strips of the papers from the 12×12 Cardstock Pack and 6×9 Collection Pack used on the front along with another die cut piece.

I Put A Spell On You

Hey everybody! I hope you’re having a great week so far! I’m back with my second post this morning and this one is a super cute Keep It Simple DT inspiration project created with items in the NEW too-cute-to-spook A Wee Bit Wicked Collection! OMGoodness, I’m having THE best time with this collection! I’ve made another swing flap card which has quickly climbed to the top of my all-time favorite fun folds! It packs such a punch and is great for any occasion!

I cut the card base from CutCardStock Basis Black cardstock along with a layering panel from a spider web print in the A Wee Bit Wicked 12×12 Collection Pack. I adhered the witch and cloud (from the Wee Bits Die Cut Pieces) to a square cut from Basis Black using the Stitched Squares Nested Dies. I added the front sentiment, a black and white striped strip and stars from the Cards and Phrases Die Cut Pieces, which completed the card front.

I layered an orange dot panel from the 12×12 Collection Pack on the inside, then stamped a sentiment in Memento Tuxedo Black ink from the Halloqueen Sentiments stamp set and cut it with the coordinating Halloqueen Outline Dies. I also added another star from the Cards and Phrases Die Cut Pieces and a cat from the Wee Bits Die Cut Pieces to complete the inside.

Here’s a shot of the card folded flat for mailing. Swoon! I SO love this fold!

Scrappy hugs,

A Wee Bit Wicked

Hey everybody! Happy Tuesday to you! I have a FABulous Keep It Simple DT inspiration project to share today created with items from our newest collection, A Wee Bit Wicked, that was released yesterday! We have been chomping at the bit for release day to arrive and we’re super excited to share our projects with you! You know how I love me some fun folds, so I created a double easel fold featuring papers, stamps, dies and die cut pieces! Oh my goodness, so much fun! And before I forget, coupon code WICKED10 gets you 10% off items in the A Wee Bit Wicked Collection! What a sweet deal! ;)

I cut the card base from Neenah Classic Crest 80# Solar White cardstock and the scored panel and a die cut oval from CutCardStock Basis Black cardstock. I cut layering panels and another die cut oval from papers in the 6×9 Collection Pack. I stamped the witch, broom and kitty in Memento Tuxedo Black ink and the pumpkin in Concord & 9th Marmalade ink on Solar White cardstock, and colored the witch and broom with alcohol markers. We hadn’t received the coordinating Best Witches dies yet because of a shipping delay so I fussy cut the images for this card. But the dies have come in and are available on the website. Dies are SO much easier than fussy cutting, lol! ;)

I embellished the tall panel with a large spider web and spider from the Wee Bits Die Cut Pieces. Then I layered the die cut ovals (cut with the Stitched Ovals Nested Dies) on the short front panel along with the stamped and colored images. I finished the card front with a few stars and a sentiment from the Wee Bits Die Cut Pieces

I cut the inside panel from Solar White cardstock and embellished it with strips of the patterned paper from the 6×9 Collection Pack and CutCardStock Basis Black cardstock used on the front. I stamped the sentiment from the Halloqueen Sentiments Stamps in Tuxedo Black ink on a scrap piece of Solar White cardstock and cut it with the coordinating Halloqueen Outline Dies.
