Hey everybody! Are you as amazed as I am at how quickly 2023 got here?! Dang! Our new challenge is live this morning over at Love To Craft Challenge Blog and I’m super stoked to share my DT inspiration project for LTCCB #72 – Anything Goes! The hubs and I are vintage (LOL) so I created a fun vintage TV box card for our anniversary using the SVG Cuts Vintage TV Box Card cut file. The photo I used was taken on one of our first dates to a motorcycle club meeting… look how young we were! And, it goes without saying that avocado and orange are some of the best vintage colors around! Bahahaha!

Using my Scan N Cut, I cut the box card base from Cardstock Warehouse Brown Box 100# cardstock, the decorative elements and trim from CutCardStock Pop Tone Jellybean Green and Pebbles Inc. Basics 6×6 paper pad, and the antenna from CutCardStock Bright Silver Foil cardstock.

Like I always say, the most fun is the assembly. I used the Cuttlebug Swiss Dots Embossing Folder for the speaker cover and Eyelet Outlet orange 8mm Cut Jewels for the knobs. ;)

I stamped the sentiment from The Cat’s Pajamas Simply Stacked Sentiments stamp set in Memento Tuxedo Black ink on the back panel which completed the card.

Happy Birthday Cake Card

Hey, peeps! How’s the weather where you are… is it just a bit chilly, lol?! It is here and that’s how we like it! Our new challenge is live this morning over at Love To Craft Challenge Blog and I’m excited to share my DT inspiration project for LTCCB #71 – Anything Goes! I created a super cute fun fold birthday card using the Simply Crafty SVGs Birthday Cake Card cut file that I cut with my Scan N Cut. Back in January of this year I learned how to print sentiments using the draw function on my Scan N Cut, and have really enjoyed doing that on a few cards!

I cut the card base from CutCardStock Raspberry Ice cardstock, the cake elements from The Paper Studio Four Seasons and Everything In Between -2- paper pad, the candle elements from CutCardStock Basis Gold and CutCardStock Basis Aqua, and the front and inside sentiment banners from Neenah Classic Crest 80# Solar White which I printed using the draw function on my Scan N Cut prior to cutting them. As I assembled the card, I ran the candle through the Big Shot with the Cuttlebug Candy Cane Stripes Embossing Folder for a little texture and used some Sakura Clear Star shimmer on the flame.

Here are a couple shots showing how the card opens.

And one more look… this was definitely a fun one and very birthday-themed with the fun pastel colors! I think it would be a great cut file to use for a wedding-themed card as well, so stay tuned! ;)

Sending Love at Christmas

Hi friends! Happy Thursday to you all! Well, we’re another couple months closer to Christmas! Are you closer to being ready for that round jolly man to appear?! Our new challenge is live this morning over at Love To Craft Challenge Blog and I’m super stoked to share my DT inspiration project for LTCCB #70 – Anything Goes! I’ve created a Christmas card for this challenge using the adorable Prickley Pear Stamps Two Snow Ladies stamp set and these two lady birds have it going on! This was a fun card to color and put together! Green is my favorite color so I went with varying shades of green with a pop of red!

I cut a standard A2 top-folding card base from Neenah Classic Crest 110# Solar White cardstock along with two snow drifts cut from Neenah Classic Crest 80# Solar White cardstock using a die in the Prickley Pear Stamps Stitched Scalloped Border die set. I adhered the snow drifts together and then to the bottom of the card base with Retractable Tape Runner. I stamped the birds from the Prickley Pear Stamps Two Snow Ladies stamp set in Catherine Pooler Midnight ink on solar white cardstock, colored them with alcohol markers and fussy cut them, and then adhered them on the snow drifts. The finishing touch was adding several Eyelet Outlet Snowflake Sequins.

I stamped the inside sentiment from the same Prickley Pear Stamps Two Snow Ladies stamp set in Catherine Poole Icing on the Cake ink, and this completed the card.

And one more look… super happy with how this turned out and I’ve already earmarked it for a certain somebody this Christmas! ;)

Scrappy hugs,

Keep calm GNOME MATTER what.

Hey everybody! What have you planned for this weekend coming up? Hopefully something fun! Our new challenge launched this morning over at Love To Craft Challenge Blog and I’m stoked to share my DT inspiration project for LTCCB #69 – Anything Goes! I’m absolutely in love with gnomes, and the adorable guys on this motivational mini slimline card are from the Stampingbella Gnomes Have Feelings Too stamp set… another stamp set I’ve had for a bit and have never used. Every new year I tell myself that I need to crack the plastic on some of the stamp sets and dies in my stash that have never seen the light of day, and I think I’ve started this new year off right! ;)

I cut my go-to mini slimline size of 3-1/2″ x 6″ landscape top-folding card base from Neenah Classic Crest 110# Solar White cardstock along with layering panels from CutCardStock Stardream Metallic Jupiter cardstock and Neenah Classic Crest 80# Solar White cardstock. I stamped the three gnomes and sentiment from the Stampingbella Gnomes Have Feelings Too stamp set in Catherine Pooler Midnight ink and colored them with alcohol markers. I clipped the corners with the Tonic Corner Punch and adhered the panel to the red cardstock panel and then to the card base. It doesn’t get much easier than this! ;)

I cut the inside panel from Neenah Classic Crest 80# Solar White cardstock and stamped the sentiment from the Brutus Monroe Groovy Friend stamp set in black ink. I clipped the corners and adhered the panel to a CutCardStock Stardream Metallic Jupiter cardstock layer and then to the inside of the card base.

And one more peek… love this CAS design with some of the cutest little guys ever! ;)

Hi everybody! A big ol’ Happy Weekend to you – I hope you’re doing something fun this weekend! Our new challenge has launched this morning over at Love To Craft Challenge Blog and I’m delighted to share my DT inspiration project for LTCCB #68 – Anything Goes! I’ve had this awesome Simply Crafty SVGs Scallop Thanks cut file in my arsenal since I was on Sandy’s design team and this is only the second time I’ve used it. It sure packs a punch!

Using my Scan N Cut, I cut the base from Cardstock Warehouse Brown Box Kraft cardstock along with the large scalloped layering panel from a floral pattern in the Crafter’s Companion Floral Delight 6×6 paper pad. I cut the remaining layers for the front from CutCardStock Basis Coral cardstock, CutCardStock Pop-Tone Tangy Orange cardstock and Neenah Classic Crest 80# Solar White cardstock. I assembled the card and added several white flat-back pearls to complete the front.

I cut the large scalloped inside panel from CutCardStock Basis Coral cardstock and the remaining two layers from CutCardStock Stardream Metallic Flame cardstock and Neenah Classic Crest Solar White cardstock, and adhered them to the inside of the card base. The final step was stamping the sentiment from the Altenew Build-A-Flower Hibiscus stamp set in Catherine Pooler Mandarin Spice ink.

And one more look… this is such a versatile card that can be cut in any color combo and used for any occasion!

Embossed Happy Mother’s Day

Hi friends! Hope you’re having a terrific Tuesday! Is it warming up any at all where you are? Things are status quo here… the hubs and I always ‘do our own thing’ which keeps us sane, lol! Affiliate links are used in this post at no cost to you – I really appreciate your support! Our new challenge is live this morning over at Love To Craft Challenge Blog and I’m thrilled to share my DT inspiration project for LTCCB #67 – Anything Goes! I have created several heat embossed commissioned Mother’s Day cards over the past couple years using this Clearly Besotted stamp set (with basically the same design) and each one turns out so beautiful using different colors for the flowers.

I cut a standard A2 top-folding card base from Neenah Classic Crest 110# Solar White cardstock and layering panels from Neenah Classic Crest 80# Solar White cardstock and Stampin’ Up So Saffron cardstock. I stamped the image from the Clearly Besotted One In A Million stamp set in black ink, stamped over that in Versamark and heat embossed it with Hero Arts Clear embossing powder. I learned this trick years and years ago to virtually get any color of heat embossing on a project. The only colors of embossing powder I have in my stash anymore are metals and some red I found not too long ago. ;) So I colored the embossed image with alcohol markers and adhered the panel to the yellow cardstock panel and then to the card base. I stamped the sentiment from the Dare 2B Artzy Flowers For Mom stamp set in black ink and added several dots of Nuvo Ivory Seashell Crystal Drops to finish the card front.

I cut the inside panel from Neenah Classic Crest 80# Solar White cardstock, stamped the sentiment from the same Clearly Besotted stamp set, and layered the panel on the yellow cardstock.

And one more peek… this is such a pretty CAS design that compliments any kind of girly card! And the image is absolutely stunning!

2/1/22 Top Pick at Crafting Happiness Challenges!

Hi peeps! Well, 2022 has arrived in what seems like a very short amount of time, lol! It seems like January 1st of 2021 was just yesterday! Affiliate links are used in this post at no cost to you – I really appreciate your support! Our new challenge is live this morning over at Love To Craft Challenge Blog and I’m super stoked to share my DT inspiration project for LTCCB #66 – Anything Goes! I’ve been on a Scan N Cut kick here lately and have cut quite a few files for design team projects. This adorable twist and pop card was created with a cut file from My Scrap Chick.

I cut all the pieces from American Crafts Sunflower, White and Stone cardstock, as well as CutCardStock Basis Red, Basis Aqua, Basis Green, Basis Navy, Pop-Tone Tangy Orange and Shadow Gray cardstock. The sentiment is from The Project Bin Milky Way stamp set which I stamped in Catherine Pooler Juniper Mist ink.

Then the fun began putting it together. Twist and pop cards really are a lot of fun, and being able to cut them electronically rather than measuring and scoring manually is the bomb!

The inside sentiment is from the same stamp set, stamped in the same dark blue ink.

And one more look… this was a super fun project. I can literally sit for hours putting these kinds of cards together!

Fall Harvest

Happy Hump Day, everybody! Hope you’re having a great week! Affiliate links are used in this post at no cost to you. I really appreciate your support! Our last challenge of the year is live over at Love To Craft Challenge Blog and I’m stoked to share my DT inspiration project for LTCCB #65 – December Anything Goes! I have another pretty Fall card I created with Prickley Pear Stamps Oak & Maple Leaf stamp set and coordinating Oak & Maple Leaf die set. These leaves made such a pretty clean and simple card which I’m loving more and more these days! And this card would be so easy to mass produce to create a set to give as a gift!

I cut a standard A2 size top-folding card base from Neenah Classic Crest 110# Solar White cardstock, rounded the bottom right corner and stamped the sentiment in brown ink. I tied a piece of twine around a strip of corrugated kraft cardstock and adhered it to the front of the card base with foam pads. Using the Prickley Pear Stamps Oak & Maple Leaf stamp set and coordinating Oak & Maple Leaf die set I stamped four leaves in different colors and cut them with the coordinating die. I arranged them on the front of the card and adhered them with foam pads. The finishing touch was the addition of several gold flat-back pearls.

I stamped the inside sentiment in brown ink and that was it… no layers which is very unusual for me!

And one more peek… so loving this card! I think it rates right up there with a few of my other all-time favorites!

Give thanks

Hi friends! Happy Monday – I hope you had a great weekend! They sure do go by fast! Affiliate links are used in this post at no cost to you. I really appreciate your support! Our new challenge is live this morning over at Love To Craft Challenge Blog and I’m thrilled to share my DT inspiration project for LTCCB #64 – November Anything Goes! Fall is in full swing so here’s a pretty slimline chock full of Fall colors using Prickley Pear Stamps Oak & Maple Leaf stamp set and coordinating Prickley Pear Stamps Oak & Maple Leaf die set! OMGosh, they are gorgeous! Prickley Pear Stamps also carries Rinea Foiled Paper Autumn Variety Pack that I used for these leaves.

I cut a top-folding slimline card base measuring 9″ x 3-3/4″ from Neenah Classic Crest 110# Solar White cardstock. This is my go-to size because it fits perfectly in a #10 business size envelope which the slimline was designed to fit in, and still allows for some dimension. I cut layers from Stampin’ Up patterned paper, Darice textured brown cardstock and CutCardStock Camomile cardstock for the front, layered them together and adhered the panel to the front of the card base. I die cut three stitched circles from CutCardStock Camomile cardstock and three slightly larger stitched circles from the textured brown cardstock, layered them together in three sets, offsetting the yellow circles toward the top, and adhered them to the front panel. I adhered small foiled paper squares to white cardstock and die cut a variety of oak and maple leaves in different colors using the Prickley Pear Stamps Oak & Maple Leaf die set, and layered two on each set of circles. I added twine bows and flat-back pearls to each set of circles. I stamped a sentiment in brown ink on white cardstock, trimmed it and flagged one end, and adhered it to the front with foam pads.

I cut a panel for the inside from Neenah Classic Crest 80# Solar White cardstock and embellished it with leftover strips of patterned paper and the textured brown cardstock used on the front, stamped the sentiment in brown ink, and layered the panel on CutCardStock Camomile cardstock. I had a leftover die cut foiled maple leaf which I adhered to the bottom left corner of the panel.

And one more look… the colors in this angled shot show up much better than in any of the other photos I took. Very happy with how this turned out!

Just Because

Hi everyone! It’s Friday and I swear they roll around so darn fast these days, lol! I hope you’ve had a great week! Our new challenge launched this morning over at Love To Craft Challenge Blog and I’m delighted to share my DT inspiration project for LTCCB #63 – October Anything Goes! I created a clean and simple card featuring a pretty gold heat embossed 3-Flower Collage image stamped with an old Stamp Camp stamp that my late sister gifted me a number of years ago. This stamp definitely has some sentimental value.

I created a standard A2 size top-folding landscape card base from Neenah Classic Crest 110# Solar White cardstock along with a layering panel for the front which I adhered to a CutCardStock Pop-Tone Wild Cherry cardstock panel. I stamped the 3-Flower Collage image in Versamark and heat embossed it in Ranger Super Fine Detail Gold embossing powder. I trimmed the stamped image, layered it on CutCardStock Pop-Tone Wild Cherry cardstock, and colored the negative spaces of the branches and flowers with fine point Pitt Artist pens, connecting the squares with the branches. I adhered a cardinal brad to each collage square and adhered the panel to the bottom of the card base. I stamped the sentiment in red ink and added three small red flat-back pearls.

I cut the inside panel from Neenah Classic Crest 80# Solar White cardstock and embellished the bottom of the panel with cardinal washi tape and a narrow strip of CutCardStock Pop-Tone Wild Cherry cardstock cardstock, stamped the sentiment in red ink, and layered the panel on the red cardstock.

And one more look… I’m smitten with this stamped image embossed in gold!
