Thank You tower card

Hey, hey, hey, Happy Monday, everybody! Hope you had a wonderful weekend and got out and enjoyed this beautiful Fall weather we’re having! Love, love, love this time of year! Affiliate links are used in this post at no cost to you. I really appreciate your support! Our new challenge is live this morning over at Love To Scrap Challenge Blog and I’m super stoked to share my DT inspiration project for LTSCB #151 – Anything Goes! I tried out this cool tower card fun fold earlier this year and enjoyed it so much that I had to make another one, lol! I used the oh-so-pretty Prickley Pear Stamps Sketched Florals – Wisteria stamp set along with the Prickley Pear Stamps Oak & Maple Leaf stamp set and the Prickley Pear Stamps Shadow Words – Thank You die.

I stamped the image from the Prickley Pear Stamps Sketched Florals – Wisteria stamp set on a full sheet of Neenah Classic Crest 80# Solar White cardstock, colored it with alcohol markers, and cut a small square panel for the front and a long panel for the back of the card. I cut the card base from Neenah Classic Crest 110# Solar White cardstock along with layering panels from CutCardStock Basis Dark Purple cardstock and swiss dot patterned paper from Crafter’s Companion Verity Rose 6×6 paper pad, and adhered all the layers to the card base. Using the Prickley Pear Stamps Shadow Words – Thank You die, I cut the sentiment from CutCardStock Stardream Metallic Amethyst cardstock and CutCardStock Basis Dark Purple cardstock, and adhered it to the front. The final touch was adding several iridescent gemstones for a little interest.

I adhered the long panel with the stamped and colored image to a CutCardStock Basis Dark Purple cardstock layer, stamped a sentiment from the Prickley Pear Stamps Oak & Maple Leaf stamp set, and adhered the panel to the back of the card.

Tequila bookmark

Hi everyone! Happy Friday – I can’t believe it’s the first day of October already! Where is the time going?! Our new challenge has launched over at Love To Scrap Challenge Blog and I’m thrilled to share my DT inspiration project for LTSCB #150 – Anything But A Card! We want to see anything you want to make for this challenge as long as it’s not a card! I created a fun bookmark using STAMPlorations Layered Citrus stamp set which is one of my favorites!

Using a plain white bookmark from my stash, I stamped the whimsical lemons randomly all over it. I stamped the first portion of the sentiment on a scrap piece of Neenah Classic Crest Solar White cardstock, trimmed it and adhered it to the top of the bookmark. I used glitter alpha letters for the word ‘lemons’ (all black letters except one which I colored yellow) and then stamped the rest of the sentiment from the stamp set in black ink. I made a hole reinforcement for the top with two circle punches and a scrap of white cardstock and added some narrow yellow ribbon. The final touch was the addition of a couple black enamel dots.

And one more look… such a fun project that is actually practical! ;)

Products used:
Cardstock/Paper: Darice white bookmark, Neenah Classic Crest Solar White cardstock scrap
Stamps: STAMPlorations Layered Citrus stamp set
Ink: Stampin’ Up So Saffron, Daffodil Delight and Crushed Curry ink; Memento Tuxedo Black ink; Nuvo alcohol markers- 404, 405
Dies/Punches: Stampin’ Up 1/4″ and 1/2″ circle punches
Accessories: Tim Holtz 8.5″ Guillotine Paper Trimmer, Bearly Art precision craft glue, MISTI stamp tool, Darice black and white glitter alpha stickers, Eyelet Outlet Black Enamel Dots, yellow ribbon scrap

I hope you’ve enjoyed today’s project and will link up a project with us this month that’s not a card! We’d love to see what you create! Thanks so much for stopping by today – we’ll see you again soon! ;)

Pizza thank you

Howdy everybody! I hope you’re having a great week and you’re enjoying this Hump Day! Affiliate links are used in this post at no cost to you. I really appreciate your support! Our new challenge over at Love To Scrap Challenge Blog is live this morning and I’m super stoked to share my DT inspiration project for LTSCB #149 – Anything Goes! This card is so stinkin’ cute I can’t stand it! I work way ahead on all my design team projects and I had a really hard time waiting to share this, lol! I used the My Favorite Things Pizza My Heart stamp set along with the My Favorite Things Pizza Maker die set, of course! ;)

These stamps and dies are definitely among MFT’s cutest sets. I cut a standard A2 size top-folding card base from Neenah Classic Crest Solar White cardstock and added strips of red and white gingham paper across the top and bottom. I stamped the sentiment in black ink and then added the pizza die cuts. It was so fun building the pizza with pepperoni, ham, mushrooms, pineapple, green peppers and black olives – all from scraps out of the scrap bin that seemingly never dwindles, lol! And the gingham paper reminded me so much of the old fashioned tablecloths from back in the day!

I cut the inside panel from Neenah Classic Crest Solar White cardstock and embellished it with gingham paper, stamped the sentiment in black ink and layered the panel on a scrap of red cardstock from that same bin. ;)

And one more peek… I have loved pizza my whole life – in fact it’s still one of my favorite foods so you can imagine how much fun I had with this! ;)

Products used:
Cardstock/Paper: Neenah Classic Crest Solar White cardstock, variety of cardstock scraps, Simple Stories Wood & Gingham Basics 12×12 paper pad
Stamps: My Favorite Things Pizza My Heart stamp set
Ink: Memento Tuxedo Black ink
Dies/Punches: My Favorite Things Pizza Maker die set
Accessories: Tonic Studios 12″ Guillotine Paper Trimmer, Tombow Mono permanent adhesive, Bearly Art precision craft glue, MISTI stamp tool, Gemini Junior, Stampin’ Up Dimensionals

I hope you’ve enjoyed today’s project and you’ll link up an ‘anything goes’ project with us this month! We’d love to see what you create! Thanks so much for stopping by today – we’ll see you again soon! ;)

Vintage Christmas Tags

Howdy, peeps! Happy first day of August! Time is going by so fast that it’ll be Christmas again before we know it! Affiliate links are used in this post at no cost to you. I really appreciate your support! It’s time for a new challenge over at Love To Scrap Challenge Blog and I’m stoked to share my DT inspiration project for LTSCB #148 – Old School! We’d love to see your old/vintage or back to school project! Seems I’m always in Christmas mode, so I created some hybrid vintage Christmas tags! I’ve been a fan of Free Vintage Digital Stamps for a number of years and had this adorable image in my arsenal so I decided to use it!

I resized and printed the digital image six times on Papertrey Ink Classic Kraft cardstock and cut them with a stitched banner die. I cut six slightly larger double-stitched rectangles from CutCardStock Pop-Tone Wild Cherry cardstock, adhered a die cut digital image to each one. Using the Prickley Pear Stamps Christmas Holiday Gift Tags stamp set, I stamped ‘To’ and ‘From’ on the back of each one in black ink. I created hole reinforcements from CutCardStock Pop-Tone Wild Cherry cardstock with 1/4″ and 1/2″ circle punches, and adhered one to the front and back of each tag. I added green hemp crafting cord and a tiny iridescent gemstone to the top of the tree on each tag.

And one more look at the set… aren’t these just adorable?! Gotta love vintage! ;)

Products used:
Cardstock/Paper: Papertrey Ink Classic Kraft cardstock, CutCardStock Pop-Tone Wild Cherry cardstock
Stamps: Free Vintage Digital Stamps Santa image, Prickley Pear Stamps Christmas Holiday Gift Tags stamp set
Ink: Memento Tuxedo Black ink
Dies/Punches: JustRite Stitched A2 Banners and Rectangles die set, Cottage Cutz Double-Stitched Rectangles die, Stampin’ Up 1/4″ and 1/2″ circle punches
Accessories: Tonic Studios 12″ Guillotine Paper Trimmer, Tombow Mono permanent adhesive, Bearly Art precision craft glue, Hemptique light green hemp crafting cord, Darice tiny iridescent gemstones

I hope you’ve enjoyed seeing these vintage Christmas tags and will link up an old/vintage or back to school project with us this month! We’d love to see what you create! Thanks so much for stopping by today – we’ll see you again soon! ;)

Sunflower Thank You note card

Hi everyone! I hope you are having an amazing week! I’ve gotten a good bit of crafting in so I’m a happy camper! Affiliate links are used in this post at no cost to you. I really appreciate your support! Our new challenge is live this morning over at Love To Scrap Challenge Blog and I’m stoked to share my DT inspiration project for LTSCB #147 – Anything Goes! I created a pretty thank you note card with another NBUS rubber stamp (never before used schtuff) I unearthed in my studio! I had to peel the backing off the cling in order to use this one too, so I know it’s never been out of it’s packaging, lol! This one is beautiful and I’m happy I found it! ;)

I created a standard A2 top-folding card base from Neenah Classic Linen 100# Solar White cardstock along with a panel for the front cut from Neenah Classic Crest 80# Solar White cardstock. I stamped the image in brown ink on the front panel, colored it with alcohol markers, layered it on craft foam and adhered it to the card base. I stamped the sentiment in brown ink on a white cardstock scrap, trimmed it and adhered it to the front panel on dimensional foam pads. The final touch was the addition of Nuvo Ivory Seashell Crystal Drops.

I cut the inside panel from Neenah Classic Crest 80# Solar White cardstock, embellished it with a strip of dark yellow cardstock and layered the panel on the same cardstock. I left the inside panel blank to write a custom message.

And one more look… what a gorgeous stamp! Love how this turned out!

Products used:
Cardstocck/Paper: Neenah Classic Linen Solar White cardstock, Neenah Classic Crest Solar White cardstock, Stampin’ Delightful Dijon cardstock
Stamps: C.C. Designs Sunflower rubber stamp, Stampin’ Up What I Love stamp set

its your BIG day

Hi everyone! How’s the weather where you are? We’re in Colorado and our days are getting warmer but haven’t gotten too hot yet! Affiliate links are used in this post at no cost to you. I really appreciate your support! Our new challenge launched this morning over at Love To Scrap Challenge Blog and I’m tickled to share my DT inspiration project for LTSCB #146 – No Rulz 4! This is the fourth year in a row that we’ve hosted a ‘no rules’ challenge where our participants don’t have to follow ANY rules! We don’t have many rules anyway, but it’s fun to allow everybody to let their hair down, lol! I created a birthday card and actually busted out another NBUS (never before used schtuff) rubber stamp that I’ve owned for at least 5 years, maybe longer, and had never even pulled the backing off the cling! Sure glad I did because this little fairy is the absolute cutest! ;)

I cut a standard A2 top-folding card base from Neenah Classic Crest 110# Solar White cardstock along with a layering panel from CutCardStock Basis Teal cardstock and dotted and striped panels to create the background, and then applied a strip of glitter washi tape at the seam. I stamped Sweetie on Neenah Classic Crest 80# Solar White cardstock in black ink and colored her skin with alcohol markers and the rest of the image with Karin Brushmarkers. OMGoodness, these brushmarkers are dreamy and I LOVE the way they color! I’m going to learn to watercolor with them next! I cut the image with a stitched mini scallop die and adhered it to a flourish cut from CutCardStock Basis Teal cardstock, cutting the right side off so it was even with the layers. I stamped the sentiment in teal ink at the bottom and added three small iridescent gemstones for a little interest.

I cut the inside panel from Neenah Classic Crest 80# Solar White cardstock and embellished it with leftover pieces of the dotted and striped paper used on the front, stamped the sentiment in teal ink and layered the panel on CutCardStock Basis Teal cardstock.

And one more look… totally smitten with this design! And such a super cute image!

Products used:
Cardstock/Paper: Neenah Classic Crest Solar White cardstock, CutCardStock Basis Teal cardstock, Darice Dots and Stripes 6×6 paper
Stamps: Whimsy Stamps Sweetie rubber stamp, C.C. Designs Birthdays rubber stamp set
Ink: Memento Tuxedo Black ink; Karin Brushmarker Pro 72 Marker Mega Box– Pale Orange, Cool Aqua, Ocean Teal, Magenta, Cerise, Olive Green, Apple, Curry; Spectrum Noir alcohol markers- FS9, FS3; Sakura Clear Star Gelly Roll pen, Stampin’ Up Island Indigo ink

Accessories: Tonic Studios 12″ Guillotine Paper Trimmer, Tombow Mono permanent adhesive, Bearly Art precision craft glue, Eyelet Outlet Glitter Dot Washi Tape, MISTI stamp tool, Gemini Junior, Darice iridescent gemstones

Tea ‘thank you’

Happy Saturday, friends! Hope you have a great weekend planned! A new challenge is live this morning over at Love To Scrap Challenge Blog and I’m thrilled to share my DT inspiration project for LTSCB #145 – Anything Goes Challenge! Affiliate links are used in this post at no cost to you. I really appreciate your support! I created a double gate fold ‘thank you’ card sample using some Prickley Pear Stamps tea-themed stamps and dies along with some pretty double-sided paper from my stash! You know how I love fun folds, and this one is so awesome!

I stamped the to-go tea cup on Neenah Classic Crest Solar White cardstock, colored it with alcohol markers and cut it with the coordinating die. I adhered it to a stitched mini scallop die cut also cut from Neenah Classic Crest Solar White cardstock which I layered on a stitched circle cut from emerald green cardstock. I chose double-sided paper that wasn’t too ‘busy’ for the folded card base, and adhered the focal image. I embellished the inside panel with a paper strip and a sentiment cut from the emerald green cardstock, and stamped some coordinating tea leaves in the bottom right corner.

And one more peek… I really love this fold and I’m sure you’ll be seeing it again (and again)!

Happy Mother’s Day

Happy Thursday, friends! Have you any April Fool’s Jokes planned to play on anybody?! I can’t believe how fast this year is going by! Affiliate links are used in this post at no cost to you. I really appreciate your support! Our new challenge is live this morning over at Love To Scrap Challenge Blog and I’m thrilled to share my DT inspiration project for LTSCB #144 – Spring Forward! Yep, we want to see your Spring-themed projects! I’m sharing a pretty Mother’s Day card that I was commissioned to make which features a gorgeous heat embossed Clearly Besotted floral spray. Honestly, you can’t go wrong with a card like this! Mother’s Day is almost upon us so you’ll be seeing a few scattered about my blog! ;)

I cut a standard A2 sized top-folding card base from Neenah Classic Crest Solar White cardstock along with slightly smaller white and pink layering panels. I stamped the floral image in black ink on the white panel and then in Versamark (right over the top of the black ink), and heat embossed it with clear embossing powder. I’ve mentioned many times that this is a trick I discovered years and years ago to give virtually any color embossing. ;) I colored the image with alcohol markers and stamped the sentiment. I adhered the panel to the pink layer and then adhered the piece to the card base. The final touch was adding Crystal Drops.

I cut the inside panel from Neenah Classic Crest Solar White cardstock and kept it simple with just a stamped sentiment and layering the panel on the pink cardstock.

And one more look… totally loving how this turned out!

SHORE do miss you

3/8/21 Honorable Mention at Pammie’s Inky Pinkies Challenges!

Hi everyone! I’m sure after months of chilly weather, everyone is wishing for some beach time! Our new challenge has launched over at Love To Scrap Challenge Blog and I’m stoked to share my DT inspiration project for LTSCB #143 – Anything Goes! I had a LOT of fun creating this card with washi tape and brads paired with some super fun stamps! I work ahead and created this back when our cold weather out here in Colorado was just beginning and I knew that by the time this challenge launched, everyone would be ready for some warmth! ;)

I cut a standard A2 top folding card base from Solar White cardstock. I created an angled background panel from a couple digital papers that I printed on 60# Hammermill copy paper, added some narrow washi tape to the seam, layered the panel on orange cardstock, and then adhered it to the card base. Then the fun began working on the beach panel. I created the water and the sky, and added a sun brad. I hand-cut an island in the background to hide the seams and added a palm tree brad. I stamped the snorkeling kid named Curly on a scrap of Solar White cardstock, colored him with alcohol markers and fussy cut him out, then ran a black marker around the edges for a more finished look. I sat him aside and created the beach with a piece of torn kraft cardstock, added a shell brad and shove and bucket, then adhered Curly. I layered the panel on orange cardstock, stamped the sentiment in black StazOn ink and adhered the panel to the background. The finishing touch was adding Glossy Accents to his goggles after the inside was complete.

I embellished the inside panel with a leftover strip of the digital patterned paper used on the front and an orange cardstock strip, stamped the sentiment in black ink, and layered the panel on orange cardstock.

And one more peek… I’m absolutely smitten with this design! It was a little work but definitely worth it! I’ll be CASEing this design but with a different stamp!

Happy Monday, everybody! Well, we’re a whole month into 2021 already! Our new challenge is live over at Love To Scrap Challenge Blog and I’m stoked to share my DT inspiration project for LTSCB #142 – Love Is. You guessed it – we want to see your ‘love’ creation, whether it’s for a wedding, an anniversary, a Valentine or just because! I created this corner fold wedding congrats sample for Prickley Pear Stamps using their Heart Key Crown stamps and dies. This fold is super fun!

I created the card base from white cardstock and the layers from sugarplum cardstock and a gorgeous patterned paper. I cut quite a few heart die cuts from white and sugarplum cardstock, and did a good bit of stamping and layering on all the panels.

And last but not least, this awesome card folds flat for mailing!
