High Five!

Hey everybody! Happy Monday – it’s the last Monday in January already! Can you believe it?! I’m up on the Pajama Crafter Stamps blog today with an inspiration project featuring the amazing High Five stamp set from our new release! I mentioned in my last post featuring this adorable stamp set that (PCS owner) Joy’s cats do the ‘high five’ while they are watching their Sunday worship service, and I just love that! I created a diamond stair step card featuring a kitty and a couple sentiment stamps from this set, and I love how it turned out! My inspiration for this fun fold once again came from Lisa Curcio’s blog.

The card base was cut from Neenah Classic Crest 110# Solar White cardstock along with layering panels from the Keep It Simple Max & Daisy Flip Sides Pack. I stamped the sentiment on first diamond in Memento Tuxedo Black ink. Next, I stamped the kitty in black on a Solar White scrap and colored him with alcohol markers. I fussy cut the kitty and popped him up on a foam strip. I then added a couple enamel hearts from the Keep It Simple max & Daisy Enamel Shapes.

Another sentiment and paw prints (from the same stamp set) were stamped on the second diamond.

I loved the hearts on the third diamond so I didn’t stamp on that one. Yellow gemstones were added to complete the card front.

I added a plain panel on the back to write a custom message and signature.

sliding by to say hi

Hey everybody! Can you believe the weekend is gone already?! I hope you’re raring to go on this fine Monday morning! I’m up on the Pajama Crafter Stamps blog today with an inspiration project featuring the Sliding By stamp set from our new release! I created a latch card which is a really easy design – it’s simply a bi-level card (meaning the front flap is a different length or width than the base flap) with a ‘latch’ to keep it closed! The latch on this card is a tree brad that coordinates with the trees in the stamp set! Talk about cuteness overload!

I cut the card base from CutCardStock Cougar Smooth 100# White cardstock along with layering panels from coordinating prints in the Keep It Simple Royal 12×12 Collection Pack. I stamped three clusters of trees from the Sliding By stamp set in Catherine Poole Sage ink, lining up the cluster on the right-hand side with the right edge of the front flap and inside panel. I stamped the penguin in Memento Tuxedo Black ink on Cougar Smooth 80# White cardstock and colored him with alcohol markers. I fussy cut and edged the image with a Memento Tuxedo Black marker.

I added three Eyelet Outlet Tree Brads, making one of them the latch (popped up on a dimensional), along with several snowflakes and gemstones from the Buttons Galore & More Frozen Mix Upz Embellishments. The front sentiment is from the Sliding By stamp set and the inside sentiment is from the Prickley Pear Stamps Flourished Oval 3-Holidays stamp set, stamped in black ink. I added three vertically-aligned gemstones in the right lower corner which completed the card.

Scrappy hugs,

High Five! To Jesus

Hey everybody! Happy Monday – the weeks sure roll by fast these days and the weekends seem to be a blur! I’m up on the Pajama Crafter Stamps blog today with an inspiration project featuring the super adorable High Five stamp set from our new release! What makes this set so special – besides being all about cats (hehehe) – is the fact that the images with the paw up the in the air are modeled after Joy’s own cats who do that while they are watching the online Sunday services! I just love that! As you know, the front step card is one of my all-time favorite fun folds so that’s the direction I went with this colorful project!

The card base was cut from CutCardStock Cougar Smooth White cardstock along with layering panels from coordinating patterned papers in the the Keep It Simple Max & Daisy Collection Pack. I stamped the kitty and sentiment from the High Five stamp set in Memento Tuxedo Black ink on Cougar White cardstock, did some super basic coloring of the image with alcohol markers, and fussy cut them. To complete the front, I added some hearts from the Keep It Simple Max & Daisy Enamel Shapes.

I cut the back panel from Cougar White, embellished it with a leftover strip of the multicolor stripe pattern in the Max & Daisy Collection, and layered it on CutCardStock Lessebo Navy Blue cardstock. I stamped paw prints in the lower right corner but otherwise left the panel blank to write a custom message.

Scrappy hugs,

Warm Winter Wishes Ornament

Hey everybody! Happy Monday – the Mondays sure do seem to roll around fast these days! I’ve popped in this morning to share my first inspiration project as a Pajama Crafter Stamps DT member! Pajama Crafter Stamps is the new home of the Prickley Pear Stamps brand and the Pajama Crafter Stamps line! Joy and Shawn became the new owners of Prickley Pear Stamps a few months ago and have started the new Pajama Crafter Stamps line which fully debuts today! I’ve been on the Prickley Pear Stamps DT for almost four years and was invited to stay on as a Pajama Crafter Stamps team member, so here I am! ;)

Please join Pajama Crafter Stamps as we celebrate all things new… NEW YEAR, NEW BRAND, NEW TEAM and NEW RELEASE… in our “Everything’s New” Insta-Hop! Our design team has created some gorgeous projects with the new release products and the hop starts today on the Pajama Crafter Stamps Instagram page where you’ll find the complete hop list. By following and leaving comments or likes at all the stops on the hop, you’ll be in the running for a $25 gift card from Pajama Crafter Stamps! A random winner will be chosen from all comments and likes left by 11:59 PM EST on January 15th and announced on the Pajama Crafter Stamps Instagram and Facebook pages on January 17th.

I created an ornament featuring the adorable Sliding By stamp set from the Pajama Crafter Stamps new release! How stinkin’ cute is this penguin?! And I love using non-traditional colors for Winter-themed projects!

I’ve had the Splitcoast Stampers tutorial for the diamond shaped ornament (HERE) in my arsenal for quite some time and have never made one, so I decided it was time! I stamped the penguin on Neenah Classic Crest Solar White cardstock in Memento Tuxedo Black ink, colored it with alcohol markers, and cut it with a Keep It Simple Stitched Circles Nested Die. Similarly, I stamped the sentiment on a Solar White scrap and trimmed it into a flag. I used Keep It Simple double-sided pink paper for the ornament and Rose ribbon for the bow, along with Really Reasonable Ribbon silver metallic cord for the hanger. I embellished the ornament with individual sequin bits pulled from the Buttons Galore & More Blizzard Sequin Mix.
