Doggone Cool

Hi everyone! A big ol’ Happy Tuesday to you! I’m up on the Prickley Pear Stamps blog today with an inspiration project featuring the NEW Doggone Good Friends stamps with coordinating Doggone Good Friends dies! These are such fun products, I can’t even begin to tell you how much I enjoyed creating this friendship card!

I cut a standard A2 size side-folding card base and layering panel from CutCardStock Cougar Smooth 80# White cardstock. I applied strips of Eyelet Outlet wide road and grass washi tape on the layering panel to create the background. I stamped the image from the Doggone Good Friends stamp set in Memento Tuxedo Black ink on Cougar White cardstock, colored it and cut it with the coordinating Doggone Good Friends die set. I added the stamped sentiment which completed the card.

Fully Rely On God

Happy Saturday, everybody! I hope you’re having a good one! I’m up on the Prickley Pear Stamps blog today with an inspiration project featuring the new ‘F.R.O.G. – Fully Rely On God’ stamp set. It’s a small 3×3 stamp set but sure packs a big punch… I totally love our little Ramona! I made a simple tag that could easily be used for a bookmark.

I cut two tag/bookmark bases from CutCardStock Cougar Smooth 80# White cardstock and stamped the Ramona image from the F.R.O.G. – Fully Rely On God stamp set on one of them. I colored it with an assortment of markers, and added three strips of skinny MAMBI washi tape and several green Stampendous Dot Sparklers. I adhered the second tag to the back of the first one for a clean finish, and added hole reinforcements that I created with 1/2″ and 1/4″ Stampin’ Up circle punches and a scrap piece of CutCardStock Kale Green cardstock. I looped three pieces of ribbon through the hole and secured it with a Doodlebug Design Lily White Doodle Twine bow.

Merry Christmas & Hoppy New Year

Hey everybody! I hope you’re having a great week! I’m up on the Prickley Pear Stamps blog with an inspiration project featuring the NEW Christmas with Spinach and Ramona stamp set! I created a slimline card in a pale pink and green color combo, and OMGoodness, talk about totally adorable! These two couldn’t be any cuter!

I cut a 3-3/4″ x 9″ slimline card base from CutCardStock Basis 80# White cardstock along with layering panels from pale pink, pale green and dark green papers in the Keep It Simple Ruby and Jade 12×12 Collection Packs. I stamped the image from the Christmas with Spinach and Ramona stamp set in Memento Tuxedo Black ink on Basis White cardstock, colored it with alcohol markers, and then fussy cut it. I adhered the image to the card front and stamped the sentiment (from the same stamp set) in Memento Northern Pine ink. The finishing touch was adding several pink gemstones.

Frightful & Delightful

Hi friends! Well, we’re into the first week of August already and Halloween will be upon us in no time! That said, I’m back up on the Prickley Pear Stamps blog this morning with a frightful and delightful Halloween scene complete with a couple scary cats and a bat in a graveyard! Boooooo! I used the Scary Cat & Bats stamp set along with the Trick or Treat Koala Goblins stamps and dies and a die set in my stash to build this fun scene!

I cut a standard A2 size top-folding card base from Neenah Classic Crest Solar White along with a layering panel from Basis Gray. I stamped one of the cats from the Scary Cat & Bats stamp set in Memento Tuxedo Black ink on Solar White and fussy cut him.

I stamped the small cat from the Trick or Treat Koala Goblins stamp set on CutCardStock Basis Gray and the gravestones on CutCardStock Dolphin, and cut them with the coordinating Trick or Treat Koala Goblins dies. Using a Halloween Scenes die set in my stash, I cut the spooky tree and fence from CutCardStock Basis Black. The fun part is always building the scene! I stamped the small bat and sentiment from the Scary Cat & Bats stamp set which completed the card.

Merry Christmas Post-It Note Holder

Hey everybody! Okay, where has this month gone?! The last I knew, we were celebrating the Fourth of July! I’m up on the Prickley Pear Stamps blog today with an inspiration project for our ‘Christmas in July’ showcase featuring the Ham Camper stamps and dies along with the Ham Camper Winter stamps. Having been a full-time RVer for several years, these really speak to me and I just love them! I created an easel type post-it note holder which is both practical and super cute! It just so happened that I had the perfect patterned paper in my stash to park my Christmas camper on! ;)

I cut the easel base from CutCardStock Kraft Chipboard and a layering panel from a patterned paper in the American Crafts Snowy Lodge 6×6 paper pad. I stamped the camper from the Ham Camper stamps and Ham Camper Winter stamps in Memento Tuxedo Black ink on CutCardStock Cougar Smooth 100# White cardstock and colored it with Sharpie ultra fine point markers and alcohol markers.

I added highlights with a Sakura White Gelly Roll pen and cut it with the coordinating Ham Camper die. I stamped the sentiment in black ink, trimmed it and adhered it to the top of the easel panel. The finishing touch was adding a few tiny red gemstones.

Scrappy hugs,

Happy Trails

Hi friends! A big Happy Tuesday to you! I’m up on the Prickley Pear Stamps blog today with an inspiration project featuring the super cute Ham Camper stamps and dies, Ham Camper Winter stamps and a sentiment from the Santa Koala & Mrs. Claus stamp set. I’ve been on a huge fun fold kick lately and created an adorable Christmas camper diorama card for our ‘Christmas in July’ showcase! I guess maybe I should say I’m still on a huge fun fold kick, lol, as I can’t get enough of ’em!

I cut the diorama card base from CutCardStock Cougar Smooth 80# White cardstock along with layering panels from prints in the Keep It Simple Jade 12×12 Collection Pack. I stamped the front sentiment from the Santa Koala & Mrs. Claus stamp set in Memento Tuxedo Black ink and added a sweet bow created with the Impression Obsession Small Bow die which I embellished with a single clear iridescent gemstone.

I stamped the camper for the inside from the Ham Camper stamps and Ham Camper Winter stamps in Memento Tuxedo Black ink on Cougar White cardstock. I paper pieced some of the elements and colored the others with Sharpie ultra fine point markers and alcohol markers, and cut it with the coordinating Ham Camper dies. I adhered Eyelet Outlet Snow Tree brads prior to adhering the camper into the aperture with foam strips. I added several small clear iridescent gemstones and a sentiment stamped in black ink and cut with a die from the Keep It Simple Stitched Ovals Nested Dies.

Scrappy hugs,

Ho Ho Ho Corner Fold

Hey everybody! Happy Monday! Are the weeks flying by, or is it just me?! Bahahaha… I know it’s not just me! I’m up on the Prickley Pear Stamps blog today with another inspiration project featuring the cute-as-a-button Santa and Rudolph stamps and dies! This corner fold is part of our design team’s ‘Christmas in July’ showcase and is truly one of the easiest fun folds I’ve made that stands for display. I’ve made quite a few of them over the years in roughly an A2 size but I tweaked the measurements a bit and made this one in my mini slimline size of 3-1/2″ x 6″.

I cut the card base from CutCardStock Cougar Smooth 80# White cardstock and layering panels from a patterned paper in the Echo Park A Perfect Christmas Collection Kit. I stamped the sentiment and Santa image from the Prickley Pear Stamps Santa and Rudolph stamp set in Memento Tuxedo Black ink on the Cougar Smooth White, colored the image with alcohol markers and Bic Mark-It fine point markers, and cut it with the coordinating Prickley Pear Stamps Santa and Rudolph die set. Using the Keep It Simple Stitched Rectangles Nested Dies, I die cut a rectangle from Cougar White and then cut a slightly larger rectangle (using the paper trimmer) from CutCardStock Pop Tone Jellybean Green cardstock to create the focal panel.

7/13/23 Top Pick at Cardz 4 Galz!

Hey everybody! Happy Tuesday and Happy Independence Day to America! I’m up on the Prickley Pear Stamps blog today with an inspiration project featuring the most adorable Santa and Rudolph stamps and dies! The Prickley Pear Stamps design team is doing ‘Christmas in July’ and I thought these would be perfect! I caught a glimpse of this swing flap fun fold on Facebook and made one. I enjoyed it so much that I made another one for a guest gig next month! I love it and it might just be my new favorite!

I cut the card base from CutCardStock Basis Red cardstock along with layering panels from CutCardStock Basis Natural and a print in the Hot Off The Press Christmas Memories 6×6 double sided paper pack. I stamped the deer image from the Prickley Pear Stamps Santa and Rudolph stamp set in Memento Espresso Truffle ink on Basis Natural cardstock, colored it with alcohol markers and cut it with the coordinating Prickley Pear Stamps Santa and Rudolph die.

Using Keep It Simple Stitched Squares Nested Dies, I die cut a square from the red cardstock and a smaller one from the patterned paper, and stamped snow and snowflakes (from the same stamp set) on the smaller one in Catherine Pooler Tranquil ink. I adhered the layers together and then stamped the sentiment in brown ink at the bottom beneath the focal panel.

I layered a coordinating print from the Hot Off The Press Christmas Memories paper pack on the inside and stamped another sentiment from the Prickley Pear Stamps Santa and Rudolph stamp set in Memento Espresso Truffle ink. The final photo shows the card folded flat for mailing. OMGosh, I love this!

Whoo’s Your Birdie?

Hey everybody! I hope you’re having a great weekend and you’re able to enjoy some nice weather! Ours is just beautiful this time of year and I wish it could stay like this year-round! I’m up on the Prickley Pear Stamps blog today with another inspiration project featuring the Mini Owls stamp set and coordinating Mini Owls die set! These guys have personality, I’m telling ya! :D

I cut a standard A2 size side-folding card base from Neenah Classic Crest 110# Solar White cardstock along with a layering panel from a green print in the Keep It Simple Bunny Season Cardstock Pack. I rounded all four corners and then stamped the sentiment and the tree from the Mini Owls stamp set in Memento Espresso Truffle ink. I stamped three owls on Solar White cardstock in brown ink also, and colored them and the tree with Sharpie ultra fine point markers. I like those for getting into small spaces so I don’t run out of the lines, lol! The finishing touch was adding several Eyelet Outlet pink enamel dots.

Whooo Hoo!

Hey everybody! I hope you’re having a good weekend and doing something fun in this glorious weather! I’m up on the Prickley Pear Stamps blog sharing an inspiration project featuring the Mini Owls stamp set and coordinating Mini Owls die set! These are so fun and versatile, and I created a half flap card in monochromatic yellows that would be so easy to mass produce for birthdays or congrats, or even friendship!

I cut a standard A2 size side-folding card base from Neenah Classic Crest 110# Solar White cardstock and used my Fiskars 12″ SureCut paper trimmer to create the half flap. Next I cut layering panels from coordinating prints in the Keep It Simple Lemon 12×12 Collection Pack. I stamped the branch and sentiment from the Mini Owls stamp set in Memento Tuxedo Black ink and extended the branch out just a bit with a Copic black multi-liner pen. I stamped an owl on Solar White in black ink, colored it with two gray alcohol markers, and cut it with a die from the coordinating Mini Owls die set. The finishing touch was adding several gray gemstones.
