Have a Magical Day

Hey everybody! I hope you are having a wonderful weekend! I’m up on the Prickley Pear Stamps blog today with an inspiration project featuring the Best Unicorn Buddies stamp set and coordinating Best Unicorn Buddies die set! I just LOVE these little unicorns and this time I’m showcasing them on a wiper card! Fun folds are my ‘thing’ and wiper cards are on my list of favorites! My inspiration for this fun card came from Julie Davison’s easy tutorial HERE.

I cut the card base from Neenah Classic Crest Solar White cardstock along with layering panels from Doodlebug Design floral-graph and buffalo check-woodgrain rainbow petite prints. I stamped three unicorns, the rainbow, a couple clouds and several hearts from the Best Unicorn Buddies stamps in Memento Tuxedo Black ink on Solar White cardstock, colored them with alcohol markers and cut them with the coordinating Best Unicorn Buddies dies. I added tiny dots of Nuvo Ivory Seashell Crystal Drops to the flowers on two of the unicorn images. While those were drying, I drew some lines on the hearts with a Sakura white Gelly Roll pen for a little interest.

I stamped a sentiment from the same stamp set in black ink and cut it with a My Favorite Things Stitched Mini Scallop Circle STAX die. The fun part was attaching one of the unicorns to a strip of acetate on the wiper mechanism so when the card sides are pulled outward, up pops the unicorn! The finishing touch was adding several gemstones from the Trinity Stamps Amethyst Accent Embellishment Mix using my Trinity Pick Up Stick.

I cut the back panel from Solar White cardstock and embellished it with a strip of patterned paper used on the front. I stamped the sentiment from the same Best Unicorn Buddies stamp set in black ink and layered the panel on CutCardStock Grape Jelly cardstock.

Hey everybody! A big ol’ Happy Sunday to you! I’m up on the Prickley Pear Stamps blog today with an inspiration project featuring the super adorable Best Unicorn Buddies stamps and dies! I have made a bunch of different size step cards over the years and I’ve tweaked the measurements to make a slimline size to feature these super cute little unicorns! My go-to slimline card size happens to be 3-3/4″ x 9″ and I’m offering the measurements for my slimline step card (as well as a mini slimline size) as freebies on my blog HERE.

I cut the slimline step card base from CutCardStock Basis 80# White, two embellishing strips from CutCardStock Silk Glitter Opulent Opal cardstock, and layering panels from two coordinating papers in the Keep It Simple Rose 12×12 Collection Pack. I stamped the unicorn and rainbow/cloud images from the Best Unicorn Buddies stamps in Memento Tuxedo Black ink on Basis White, colored them with alcohol markers, and cut them with the coordinating Best Unicorn Buddies dies.

I popped one of the clouds up on a 1/4″ double-sided foam strip, stamped the sentiment in black ink, and added several Buttons Galore & More Pink Grapefruit buttons which completed the card front. This was definitely a fun one!

Hey everybody! Happy Friday – I hope you’ve had a fabulous week! They sure are flying by, aren’t they?! I’m up on the Prickley Pear Stamps blog today with another inspiration project featuring the Be Joyful stamps and dies! These are such amazing faith-based stamps and dies, and are truly some of my favorites. I paired these with a sunburst die in my stash that I thought was so appropriate for this image and sentiment! This is a simple design that would be easy to mass-produce.

I cut a standard A2 size side-folding card base from Neenah Classic Crest 110# Solar White cardstock. Using the Sizzix/Stampin’ Up Sunburst Thinlits, I die cut the sunburst from a yellow print in the Keep It Simple Lemon 12×12 Collection Pack. I stamped the male image from the Be Joyful stamp set on Solar White cardstock in Memento Tuxedo Black ink, colored it with alcohol markers, and die cut it with the coordinating Be Joyful die set. I stamped the sentiment in the center of the sunburst rays in Catherine Pooler Sauna ink, and popped the image up on double-sided foam strips. The finishing touch was adding gemstones to the rays from the Trinity Stamps Brilliant Citrine Embellishment Mix with my Trinity Pick Up Stick.

Hi friends! Happy Friday – I hope you’re having a great week! I’m up on the Prickley Pear Stamps blog today with an inspiration project featuring the Be Joyful stamps and dies! I totally love this stamp set – besides the amazing images, it has some pretty awesome sentiments! I created a pretty front step card which is one of my all-time favorite fun folds!

I cut the card base from Neenah Classic Crest 80# Solar White cardstock along with layering panels from coordinating papers in the Keep It Simple Lemon 12×12 Collection Pack. I stamped the image and sentiment from the Be Joyful stamp set in Memento Tuxedo Black ink on Neenah Classic Crest 80# Solar White cardstock, colored the image with alcohol markers, and cut it with the coordinating Be Joyful dies.

I punched the sentiment using the Stampin’ Up 1-3/8″ circle punch and layered it on a slightly larger circle that I punched from a scrap of coordinating yellow paper from the Keep It Simple Lemon Collection Pack with the Fiskars 1-1/2″ circle punch. I assembled the card using Eyelet Outlet Grass Washi Tape to ground the image and added several Keep It Simple Clementine Enamel Shapes.

I cut the back panel from Neenah Classic Crest 80# Solar White cardstock, embellished it with a print from the same Keep It Simple Lemon Collection pack, and stamped another sentiment from the Be Joyful stamp set in Tuxedo Black ink.

Scrappy hugs,

Peace & Happiness

Hi friends! Happy Friday! Is it me, or are the weeks just flying by?! I’m up on the Prickley Pear Stamps blog today with an inspiration project featuring the new Peace stamp set released in February! You know me… I absolutely love bold colors, so that’s the direction I went with this mini slimline! And this stamp set is perfect for using bold colors!

I cut a 3-1/2″ x 6″ mini slimline card base from CutCardStock Basis 110# White cardstock along with layering panels from Basis Yellow cardstock and Hot Off The Press Flowing Ink patterned paper, and then used a Tonic corner punch to cut off the corners. I stamped the PEACE sentiment in Memento Tuxedo Black ink on Basis 80# White cardstock, colored it with Sharpie Ultra Fine Point markers, and fussy cut the letters. I ran a Memento Tuxedo Black marker around the edges of the letters for a more finished look.

I adhered the letters to the background and then stamped the remaining portion of the sentiment in Tuxedo Black ink. I added several Darice tiny clear gemstones (colored with a yellow Arteza Y22 alcohol marker) to the letter P for a little interest. I added a couple die cut hearts that I had laying on my desk from another project, and this completed the card.

5/14/23 Sweet Pick at Cupcake Inspirations!

Hi friends! A very Happy Thursday to you! I’m up on the Prickley Pear Stamps blog today with an inspiration project featuring the Love You stamps and dies that were just released in January! Wow, talk about a versatile set… this one is! It can be used for many different occasions – Valentine’s Day, Mother’s Day, Anniversary! I created a ‘love you just because’ slimline because I love this kind of card!

I cut a 3-3/4″ x 9″ slimline card base from Neenah Classic Crest 110# Solar White cardstock along with a strip from 80# Solar White cardstock. I also cut a layering panel and slightly narrower strip from two pretty coordinating pink papers in the Keep It Simple Rose 12×12 Collectiond Pack. I stamped the large sentiment and heart in Memento Tuxedo Black ink on an additional coordinating pink paper (from the same Rose Collection Pack) using the Love You stamps and then cut them with the coordinating Love You dies. I added some shimmery silver detail on the edge of the heart with a Kirarina Wink silver metallic marker. Finally, I added a floral element created with the Pinkfresh Studio In The Meadow Washi Tape and Die along with several Eyelet Outlet pink pearls, which completed the card.

Scrappy hugs,

I’m over the Moon for you!

Hey everybody! Happy Fri-YAY! I hope you have something fun planned this weekend! I’m up on the Prickley Pear Stamps blog  an inspiration project featuring the Moon and Stars stamps and coordinating Moon and Stars dies which are part of the amazing Celestial Collection! You know I love me some fun folds, and I have an oldie but goodie impossible card to share with you today! I’ve made quite a few of these over the past number of years, and this design never gets old! It’s so versatile and can be used for many different occasions!

I cut the card base and layering panels from a dark blue patterned paper in the Keep It Simple Royal 12 x 12 Collection along with additional layering panels from yellow patterned paper in the Keep It Simple Lemon 12 x 12 Collection. I inked the edges of the dark blue paper with Ranger chipped sapphire distress ink before assembling the card layers.

I die cut quite a few elements from yellow, red and medium blue patterned paper in the Keep It Simple Lemon, Ruby and Royal 12 x 12 Collections using the Moon and Stars dies. I stamped a sentiment from the Moon and Stars stamps in Catherine Pooler Suede Shoes ink on a yellow tag from the ephemera in the Keep It Simple Lemon 12 x 12 Collection and embellished it with Hemptique Earthy Pastel crafting cord, a scrap strip of medium blue paper (from the Keep It Simple Royal 12 x 12 Collection) and some Darice clear gemstones. The finishing touch was adding several more randomly-placed Darice clear gemstones all over the card front.

Isn’t this sun and those little singing flowers just the cutest things you’ve ever seen?! I can’t stand it!

I cut a standard A2 size side-folding card base from Neenah Classic Crest 110# Solar White cardstock and rounded the bottom right corner. I stamped the sun from the You Are My Sunshine stamps in Catherine Pooler Limoncello ink on a yellow patterned paper from the Keep It Simple Lemon 12 x 12 Collection, fussy cut it, and adhered it to the card base. Next, I stamped those adorable little flowers in Memento Tuxedo Black ink on Solar White cardstock, colored them with alcohol markers, and fussy cut them as well. I stamped the rounded sentiment under the sun in Catherine Pooler Limoncello ink and adhered the flowers in the bottom right corner.
