rise & shine

Hey everybody, happy Thursday – I hope you’re having a great week! I’m delighted to share a Keep It Simple DT inspiration project featuring papers, stamps and dies from our new Sweet Spring collection. This is indeed a great collection, and if you’re longing for ‘real’ Spring like the rest of us, you’ll love this! It’s been a minute since I made a corner fold like this one; in fact, this version is one of the first fun folds I ever made way back in the day so it’s near and dear to my heart!

I cut the card base from CutCardStock Lessebo Brick Orange cardstock along with layering panels from coordinating prints in the Sweet Spring 12×12 Collection Pack. I chopped off the top right corner and glued it flat rather than scoring and bending it. I’ve done this a number of times to reduce bulk with thicker cardstock and always love how clean it looks.

I stamped several images from the Sweet Spring Collection Stamps on 110# Solar White in Memento Tuxedo Black ink and colored them with alcohol markers. I stamped them a second time in Versafine Onyx Black ink to get good crisp lines and then cut them with the coordinating Sweet Spring Outline Dies. I added details with a Sakura White Gelly roll pen and then adhered them to the card front. I glued some of them flat and popped some of them up on foam squares of varying thicknesses. I stamped a sentiment and fussy cut it, and then added Back To Basics Clear Enamel Dots to the flower centers.

I cut the inside panel from 80# Solar White cardstock and cut it off at an angle. I stamped another sentiment and image from the Sweet Spring Collection Stamps and cut them with the coordinating Outline Dies.
