under the weather

Hi friends! Well, the weekend is half over and I hope you’re doing something fun! Blink and it’ll be Monday again, lol! I’ve popped in this morning to share another Splitcoast Stampers Dirty Dozen DT inspiration project. This clean and simple get well card features an adorable heart button and a strip of washi tape with a little stamping. A very simple design that would easily be mass produced to have a few extra in your stash.

I cut a standard A2 size top-folding landscape card base from Neenah Classic Crest 110# Solar White cardstock and rounded the bottom right corner. I added a strip of MAMBI skinny washi tape across the bottom. I stamped the sentiment from the Keep It Simple Get Well sentiment stamp set in Memento Tuxedo Black and Catherine Pooler Coral Cabana inks just above the washi tape. I added a My Love heart button from Buttons Galore & More along with a few clear gemstones from the Buttons Galore & More Wish Upon A Star Mix Upz Embellishments.

I kept the inside just as simple as the front. I added a strip of the MAMBI washi tape and stamped another sentiment from the Keep It Simple Get Well sentiment stamp set in the same inks used on the front.

Scrappy hugs,

your heart is so big

Hey everybody! Happy Saturday! I hope you have something really fun planned this weekend! I’ve popped in to share another Splitcoast Stampers Dirty Dozen DT inspiration project! This pretty thank you card features gorgeous florals on a stacked stone background! Such a simple design and I really love how it turned out!

I cut a standard A2 size side-folding card base from Neenah Classic Crest 110# Solar White cardstock along with a layering panel from 80# Solar White on which I stamped the stacked stone background from Stampin’ Up. I created a bunch of florals for my stash using the Pinkfresh Studio In The Meadow Washi Tape and Die, and adhered some of them to the card front.

I heat embossed the sentiments from the Pinkfresh Studio Just A Hello Floral stamp set in black, cut them with the coordinating Pinkfresh Studio Just A Hello Floral die set, and adhered one to the card front. The finishing touch was adding several gemstones from the Trinity Stamps Morganite Muse Embellishment Mix using my Trinity Pick Up Stick

I cut the inside panel from 80# Solar White and embellished it with strips of Solar White and CutCardStock Pop Tone Cotton Candy cardstock. I added another Pinkfresh Studio Just A Hello Floral heat embossed sentiment which completed the card.

Scrappy hugs,

Queen For A Day

Hi friends! Happy Monday – here’s wishing you all a beautiful week coming up! I’ve popped in this morning to share another Splitcoast Stampers Dirty Dozen DT inspiration project. I absolutely love clean and simple, and readily admit that they haven’t always been easy for me. But I’ve been doing more and more of them over the past several years to the point where I’m pretty comfortable. This fun mom card features a Queen of Diamonds card brad and could be used for a birthday, Mother’s Day or just because mom needs to be spoiled! ;)

I cut a standard A2 size top-folding card base from Neenah Classic Crest 110# Solar White cardstock and rounded the bottom right corner. I die cut layers for the focal element using Spellbinders Standard Circles Small dies and My Favorite Things Stitched Mini Scallop Circle STAX, and affixed an Eyelet Outlet Queen of Diamonds card brad in the center. I stamped a sentiment from the Eyelet Outlet Card Stamps in Catherine Pooler Rockin’ Red ink just below the layered element. The finishing touch was adding several Eyelet Outlet red gemstones.

I kept the inside clean and simple as well, and just stamped a sentiment from the Stampin’ Up Happy & Heartfelt stamp set in Catherine Pooler Rockin’ Red ink.

Scrappy hugs,

Fabulous is what you are

Hey everybody! Well, we’re on the down-slide to the end of the weekend and I hope you’re having a good one! I’ve popped on this morning to share another Splitcoast Stampers Dirty Dozen DT inspiration project, and this clean and simple thank you card features a large sentiment as the focus, which I love!

I cut a standard A2 size side-folding landscape card base from Neenah Classic Crest 110# Solar White cardstock along with two frames from 80# Solar White and two frames from CutCardStock Curious Violette cardstock using the My Favorite Things Stitched Rectangle STAX which I layered together for some dimension. I stamped the large sentiment from the Stampin’ Up Million & One stamp set in Catherine Pooler Queen for a Day ink in the center of the card front and adhered the frame. I cut a small crown from CutCardStock Silk Glitter Opulent Opal cardstock using the Ellen Hutson Bravehearted die, and embellished it with three gemstones from the Trinity Stamps Twinkling Tourmaline Embellishment Mix using my Trinity Pick Up Stick. I punched two tiny hearts from a scrap of CutCardStock Stardream Metallic Amethyst cardstock using the Stampin’ Up Cookie Cutter Punch.

I cut the inside panel from CutCardStock Curious Metallic Violette cardstock and adhered a Solar White cardstock negative-space rectangle left over from one of the frames cut for the front. I stamped a sentiment from the Stampin’ Up Happy & Heartfelt stamp set in Catherine Pooler Queen for a Day ink.

Plant a Garden for the Bees

Howdy, friends! Hopefully you’re having some nice weather and have plans for a great weekend! I’ve popped in this morning to share another Splitcoast Stampers Dirty Dozen DT inspiration project. This fun bee-themed card features papers, a journaling card and some ephemera from a pretty Echo Park collection kit! Super easy design that went together seamlessly!

I cut a standard A2 size top-folding card base from Neenah Classic Crest 110# Solar White cardstock along with layering panels from a bee print and a journaling card from the Echo Park My Favorite Spring Collection Kit along with layering panels from CutCardStock Basis Gold and Pop Tone Black Licorice cardstock. I rounded the top left and bottom right corners of all the pieces, and adhered a couple bees from the ephemera in the kit for a little texture which completed the card front.

I cut the inside panel from 80# Solar White, embellished it with strips from the bee print and black cardstock used on the front, and adhered a sentiment and another bee from the ephemera pack.

Scrappy hugs,

Royalty Inchie Album

Hey everybody! Happy Friday! Another week has almost bitten the dust! I have THE coolest Splitcoast Stampers Dirty Dozen DT inspiration project to share with you this morning! For many years I’ve been seeing ‘inchies’ and have never made any – an inchie is simply a 1×1 piece of artwork. Pretty tiny. So I combined my love of mini albums and the inchie concept, and made a tiny inchie album! I totally enjoyed making this and I see more in my future, for sure!

I started by creating the tiny book from Neenah Classic Crest 80# Solar White cardstock and covered the front and back covers with a print from the Craft Consortium Metal Textures 6×6 paper pad. I then printed the Gecko Galz Royal Jewel It 2 digital image sheet on 80# Solar White, cut the eight inchies from it that I wanted to use, and adhered them to the pages.

I typed the book title on a scrap piece of CutCardStock Basis 80# White cardstock that I had out on my desk from another project. I trimmed it, ran a Memento Rich Cocoa marker around the edges, and adhered it to the front of the album. I took a Marvy Uchida DecoColor Gold Metallic paint marker and ran it around the edge of all the pages, which completed the tiny book. Here are shots of the royal photos! ;)

Scrappy hugs,

Snow Queen ATC

Hey everybody! Happy Thursday… tomorrow is Friday again. Already. I’ve popped in this morning to share another Splitcoast Stampers Dirty Dozen DT inspiration project. This artist trading card features a gorgeous super sparkly digital image of a Snow Queen!

I digitally added the snow queen sentiment across the bottom of the Gecko Galz Snow Queens 2 digital image and printed it on 65# Hammermill copy paper. I trimmed it and embossed the entire image with Versamark and Hero Arts Sparkle Embossing Powder. Just the flat image already looked sparkly, but the addition of the actual sparkle embossing powder multiplied the WOW factor! I rounded all four corners and layered the image on CutCardStock Bright Silver foil and Basis Teal cardstock panels. The finishing touch was adding tone-on-tone snowflakes and gemstones from the Buttons Galore & More Frozen Mix Upz Embellishments. So there you have it… super easy and so gorgeous IRL! Photos of projects like this never do them justice, I’m afraid.

Scrappy hugs,

Hope You’re Feeling Special Today

Hey everybody! Happy Tuesday! We saw a rainbow over our cabin this morning… what a wonderful start to our day! I’ve popped in to share another Splitcoast Stampers Dirty Dozen DT inspiration project. This sweet birthday card features loads of pink and a tag on the front with a gorgeous pink crown!

I cut a standard A2 size side-folding card base from Neenah Classic Crest 110# Solar White cardstock along with a layering panel from a pale pink paper in the Keep It Simple Rose 12×12 Collection Pack. I chose a pink dotted tag from the ephemera in the same paper pack, stamped a sentiment from the Stampin’ Up Garden in Bloom stamp set in Memento Tuxedo Black ink on the tag, and tied a bow to the top of the tag with Doodlebug Design Lily White Doodle Twine.

I stamped the crown from the Ellen Hutson Bravehearted stamp set in black ink on a slightly darker scrap of pink paper (from the same paper pack), cut it with the coordinating Ellen Hutson Bravehearted die, and popped it up on a foam strip. I laid the tag on the card front for placement and then stamped the second part of the sentiment before adhering the tag. The finishing touch was adding several gemstones from the Trinity Stamps Morganite Muse Embellishment Mix using my Trinity Pick Up Stick.

I cut the inside panel from 80# Solar White cardstock and embellished it with a scrap of dotted paper from the Keep It Simple Rose 12×12 Collection Pack. I stamped a sentiment from the Stampin’ Up Beautiful You stamp set in Memento Tuxedo Black ink and layered the panel on the pink paper used on the front.

Scrappy hugs,

Birthday Girl fun fold

Howdy peeps! Happy Saturday – I hope you have something fun planned this weekend! I’ve popped in this morning to share another Splitcoast Stampers Dirty Dozen DT inspiration project! Half down, half to go! ;) I was inspired to try a diamond origami fold that was showcased in an older Splitcoast Stampers tutorial HERE. Definitely a unique fold that I so enjoyed making!

I created the card base from a full 12×12 sheet of patterned paper in the Colorbok Mint Julep Designer paper pad. I used CutCardStock Flamingo cardstock to embellish the front and middle layers. I stamped the t-shirt from the Stampin’ Up Custom Tee stamp set in Memento Tuxedo Black ink on a coordinating print in the same paper pad and cut it with the coordinating Stampin’ Up T-Shirt Builder Framelits. I colored the collar and added Stampendous pink Dot Sparklers for the buttons. Next, I stamped the front sentiment on CutCardStock Basis 80# White cardstock in black ink and cut it with the coordinating die.

I stamped a sentiment on the middle layer from the same Stampin’ Up Custom Tee stamp set in black ink and embellished the panel with several more Stampendous pink Dot Sparklers. Finally, I embellished the inside panel with a strip of another coordinating patterned paper in the Colorbok Mint Julep Designer Paper and stamped a sentiment from the Stampin’ Up birthday Blossoms stamp set in Catherine Pooler Polished ink.

Here are sequential shots of the card opening up. Love how this turned out!

Scrappy hugs,

Love

Hi friends! I hope you’re having a most excellent week! I’m trying to stay indoors as much as possible… the biting insects seem to be at an all-time high. We’ve never had to use any kind of insect repellant but we’ve turned to Deep Woods Off this year, lol! I’m delighted to share another Splitcoast Stampers Dirty Dozen DT inspiration project featuring a mixture of digital and pre-printed papers. I love a red and black color combo, and this card has just a hint of a vintage feel!

I cut a standard A2 size top-folding card base from Neenah Classic Crest 110# Solar White cardstock along with layering panels from Chantalia Design Dotted Diamonds digital paper and a print from the Canvas Corp A Little Love Paper Collection. I rounded the bottom right corner of all the pieces. Using the Memory Box Stitched Heart Layers, I die cut two hearts from additional prints in the Canvas Corp paper pack, and added a trimmed strip and fussy-cut sentiment from two more prints in the paper pack.

I cut the inside panel from 80# Solar White cardstock and embellished it with a leftover strip of the Chantalia Design Dotted Diamonds digital paper used on the front, and added a trimmed sentiment from another print in the Canvas Corp A Little Love Paper Collection.
