a day all about you

Hello, crafty peeps! I’m back with my fifth and final post of the day. Enough, you say, lol! Our May House of Cards challenge went live this morning and I’m thrilled to share my DT inspiration project for Add Sequins and/or Colors! You know me… I love me some color and I love me some sequins – so this inspiration photo is some kind of wonderful! LOL!

This is my last post for House of Cards and before I get on with my project, I’d like to thank Mynn and rest of the DT for putting up with me for the last year and a half – I’ve thoroughly enjoyed myself! For this challenge, I created a fun birthday card using these adorable Elizabeth Craft Designs candle dies that I’ve had in my stash forever and have never used. Not sure how that happened… they are so much fun! I also used up a few scraps which is always a good thing!

I added just a few sequins, and also added a little shimmer to the candle flames with a SN Crystal Clear Sparkle marker.

I stamped the sentiment on the inside and layered the panel on yellow and then green cardstock. Love how this turned out!

Happy to enter this card into the following challenges:
Card Mania: #92 – Life is Colorful
Classic Design Team Open Challenge Blog: #14 – Anything Goes
Vilda Stamps Challenge Blog: May Anything Goes

Cardstock/Paper: SN Ultra Smooth Premium White cardstock; SU Daffodil Delight, Tangelo Twist, Tempting Turquoise and Wild Wasabi scraps
Stamps: SU Birthday Blossoms stamp set
Ink: SU Tempting Turquoise ink, SN Crystal Clear Sparkle marker
Dies/Punches: Elizabeth Craft Designs Candles dies
Accessories: Doodlebug Designs sequins

I hope you’ve enjoyed this project and have found some inspiration to play in our challenge this month! Can’t wait to see your creation with sequins and/or colors in the photo! Thanks so much for stopping by today – we’ll see you next time! ;)

Scrappy hugs,

I'm definitely what one could consider a crafting junkie! I love making cards, 3-D projects (especially paper shoes, mini albums and gift bags), mixed media projects, altering items, as well as occasional beading and making jewelry! Fortunately, hubby is very supportive! Life is good! :D
