mermaid kisses

Hello, my crafty friends! Happy June 1st – we’re almost officially half way through the year! I’m posting the new June “Monochrome” challenge today on the a2z Scrapbooking blog and I’m happy to share my DT inspiration project using Hero Arts Mermaid Kisses stamp setHero Arts Mermaid Kisses Frame Cuts and Hero Arts Mermaid Sea Waves Stencil. I created a thank you card featuring a fun little underwater scene in light, medium and dark shades of teal. Oh what fun!

Leslie

I created the background by lightly spraying Glimmer Mist over the stencil. When that dried I sponged light teal ink over the entire panel along with medium teal ink on the edges, and layered the panel on medium teal cardstock. I then stamped several images from the stamp set in either black or dark teal ink on white cardstock, colored them with Spectrum Noir markers, and cut each with it’s coordinating die. I arranged my scene and then stamped the sentiment in dark teal ink.

I stamped the inside sentiment in dark teal ink and embellished the panel with a leftover die cut.
