Hi everyone! Happy Monday – it sure seems to have gotten here fast, lol! Our new sketch challenges this month are live over at Stick It Down and I’ve popped in this morning to share my Card Team inspiration project! Cheapo Dies is our sponsor this month so come on over and play for the chance to win a prize! The card team is showcasing projects today on the blog and this is our super awesome card sketch this month:
I created a watercolor background with india ink and dried it with my heat tool, then splattered more light and dark ink over it with a fan brush, and dried that with my heat tool. I trimmed the panel, rounded the two bottom corners, and layered it on dark brown cardstock.
I cut all the shaped elements with various sized dies from different colors of textured cardstock, along with the stamped sentiment cut with it’s coordinating die.
I kept the inside simple with just a stamped sentiment on a layered panel.
One more look… I’m so happy with how this turned out, thanks to another great sketch from Laura!
