10/11/19 Featured Creation at Scrapping4fun Challenges!
10/24/19 Top 3 at Lil Patch of Crafty Friends!

Hi everyone! We’re busting right through this year – so hard to believe it’s October already! Today is my post day on the Simply Crafty SVGs Blog and I’m excited to share my DT inspiration project with you, a fabulous pumpkin decor piece created with the Simply Crafty SVGs Fall Pumpkin Luminary cut file. This is definitely one of my favorite cut files I’ve worked with yet! Super easy but so elegant!

2019_09040026a

This project took four colors of cardstock and twine, and it was amazing watching it come together! The six strands of twine made a beautiful bow which was definitely an added touch!

2019_09040027a

I went one step further and added a stamped tag, tucked down into the twine bow.

Here’s a view of the back side of the pumpkin which is just as pretty as the front and sides, lol!

And one final view from the top. I am so smitten with this pumpkin luminary!

A little note to say

10/14/19 Honorary Mention at Pammie’s Inky Pinkies Challenges!

Hello, my crafty friends! I hope you’re having a good week! This month’s Anything Goes with Dies Challenge is live over at Happy Little Stampers and I’m thrilled to share my DT inspiration project with you today! I created a super adorable get well card featuring an awesome window die set that I’ve had in my stash for several years and have never gotten around to using. Not sure how that happened, lol! I also used a teacup and flowers die (minus the teacup) to create all the flowers in the flower box under the window.

I’m so smitten! These Diemond Dies were fantastic to work with (they cut like butter) and I can’t believe how easy this card went together. I lucked out by having one piece of red brick paper left in my stash – in a Christmas paper pack, no less!

2019_08130012a

I used the Cottage Cutz Teacup & Flowers die a few weeks back for another DT inspiration project so I knew I wanted to use the flower part of the die for the flower box on this card. So fun! I stamped the sentiment at the top of the window in StazOn Jet Black ink, as the silver cardstock is metallic and has a sheen to it. I added paper with a small and dainty print behind the window to resemble wall paper in the house. ;)

2019_08130013a

I embellished the inside panel with a leftover strip of the brick paper and a thin strip of the yellow cardstock used for this panel, then I stamped the sentiment which is a continuation of the sentiment on the front.

2019_08130014a

One more look… did I tell you how much I love this card?! Super fun. I hope it brings a smile to someone who is a little under the weather. ;)

Love me some shoes!

Hi everyone! Hope your week is off to a great start! This month’s ATC Challenge is live over at Happy Little Stampers! I’m excited to share my DT inspiration project with you today! The theme for our October ATC Challenge is Anything Goes with a set of 3 and we’d love to see what you create for our challenge this month! I’ve always had a shoe fetish (thanks to my oldest sister who taught me well) and I used the most adorable stamp set to create a set of three ATCs (coins) featuring shoes!

October 2019 ATC

I stayed with a black and white color combo with a pop of gold for these coins. I’ve had this Paper Pretties stamp set in my stash for several years and can’t believe I’m just now (finally) getting around to using it – it’s so stinkin’ cute! And I can’t believe I found papers in my stash to match the prints on the shoes, lol! I embellished each coin with black/gold skinny Washi Tape and a few gold sequins.

2019_0813005a

Here are individual shots of the coins. I’m so tickled with how they turned out! Not sure if I want to trade them or keep them for myself, lol! ;)

Best Day Ever

Hi everyone! Happy Monday! Our new sketch challenges this month are live over at Stick It Down and I’m thrilled to be one of the Featured Designers! I’ve popped in this morning to share my Card Team inspiration project! Confessions Of A Paper Addict is our sponsor this month so come on over and play for the chance to win a prize! This is our super awesome card sketch this month, created by Laura:

Oct 2019

Loving the CAS feel, I fell in love with this sketch almost immediately after seeing it. The ladies creating the sketches for our team are really rockin’ it! This one is amazing and worked up so quickly! It would be great to mass produce for card sets using stamps or cut files, or even hand-cut circles. ;)

2019_0707001a

I used the Messy Circles cut file from our sponsor (cut with my Scan N Cut) for this congrats card which I combined with some Tim Holtz idea-ology Snippets Ephemera and Botanical Layers, along with his Quotations Metallic sentiment stickers. I have loads of sequins in my stash and these pink ones in various sizes really fit the bill.

2019_0707002a

I embellished the inside panel with a couple leftover strips of cranberry cardstock used on the front and then layered the panel on the cranberry cardstock. I love these sentiment stickers – there are so many to choose from!

2019_0707003a

Here’s another look… I really love how this turned out!

2019_0707004a

Oh, what the heck… one more up-close shot so you can see that gorgeous pot of flowers and dimensional butterfly that looks like it’s fluttering off the card! ;)

Tissue Box Holder

Hello, my crafty peeps! Happy Tuesday! It’s time for a new challenge over at Love To Craft Challenge Blog and I’m super stoked to share my DT inspiration project with you for LTCCB #39 – October Anything Goes! I created a tissue box holder covered with gorgeous digital papers from the Ephemoire Etsy store! I designed this to hang horizontally on the wall with two Command Strips on the back.

Leslie

This was a breeze to make – took me about an hour from start to finish. I plan to make another one for our bathroom using earth tone papers. The base is 120# kraft cardstock and I printed the digital papers on 60# copy paper.

2019_0726001a

One more look from overhead… so pretty! I did not write down the measurements for this tissue box holder, but I will write them down for the next one I make and will post them on my Freebies page, so stay tuned!

polkadot flower gift bags

Hi, friends! Happy Tuesday – hope your week is off to a tremendously fabulous start! Our October challenge is live this morning over at Love To Scrap Challenge Blog and I’m super stoked to share my DT inspiration project for LTSCB #126 – No Cards Allowed! This month we’d love to see your project that is NOT a card! We are being sponsored this month by Bugaboo Digi Stamps so be sure to come over and play for a chance to win a prize! I created a pair of super cute little gift bags using several papers in Bugaboo’s polkadot flowers digi papers collection.

2019_09030018aa

I cut tags from coordinating papers and tied a length of quilting thread to each in order to wrap around the handle to close the bag. I also adhered a flower to each tag.

I’m absolutely tickled with how these little gift bags turned out and can’t wait to ‘find’ something to tuck inside so I can gift them!

Hi everyone! It October 1st and it’s time for another fun challenge over at Merry Little Christmas Challenge Blog! I’m thrilled to share my DT inspiration project for MLCCB #15 – October Anything Christmas Goes. I created a fun Christmas gift box with coordinating bow using my We R Memory Keepers 1-2-3- Punch Board. A fun time was had by all, lol!

2019_0870024a

I used paper and stickers from A Perfect Christmas Collection by Echo Park for this gift box. I embellished the sentiment sticker on the top with some smoke-colored rhinestones and a tiny bit of alcohol marker coloring.

2019_0870025a

I adhered strips of the red and black ‘flannel’ paper down the sides and bottom to resemble wrapped ribbon. I used a tiny round magnet closure.

2019_0870026a

And here’s one final look at the inside, complete with another sentiment sticker. I’m totally loving how this turned out! Hmmmm… wonder what I should put in it?!

thinking of you

Hi everyone! It’s that time of the year when it should be cooling down for my friends in the States! I know many of you have had record hot temps this summer! It’s time for another fun challenge over at Stinkin’ Inkers and I’m proud to share my DT inspiration project for our Random Acts of Kindness challenge! We’d love to see you create a project depicting encouragement, thinking of you or just because. I created a ‘thinking of you’ card featuring the gorgeous Hero Arts Color Layering Water Lilies stamps, dies and inks.

2019_0817001a

I absolutely love these color layering stamps. I also have the coordinating inks and dies in my stash. I stamped all the elements on ivory cardstock, cut them with the dies, and set them aside. I cut a green background piece and added a pink/ivory polkadot strip at the bottom. I rounded the bottom right corner. I divided the two pieces with some glitter Washi Tape, added the stamped elements, and finished the front with Carnation Pink Crystal Drops.

2019_0817002a

I embellished the inside panel with a leftover strip of the pink/ivory polkadot paper used on the front, layered it on the green paper and stamped the sentiment. I had a leftover flower that I had stamped so I used it on the inside. ;)

2019_0817003a

Here’s one more look… and it’s in one of my favorite color combos of pink and green. Love, love, love!

Home Sweet Home Mini Album

Hi everyone! Happy Tuesday – I hope the week has started off on a great note for you! It’s time for another fun challenge over at Mix It Up Challenge Blog and I’m super stoked to share my DT inspiration project for MIUCB #30 – Anything Goes + Open Technique! All of our challenges are ‘anything goes’ and we offer a technique twist each month to inspire you and it’s not required to play. This month the twist is an open technique and all we ask is that you mention in your blog post which technique you chose to use on your project. I chose the 3-D technique to create my project for this challenge, in the form of the most adorable mini album shaped like a little house! I used The Paper Studio Mirabelle cardstock on all the panels and roof, using a different pattern on each, and I embellished the front with a sheer ribbon bow. Here are shots of all the angles going around the outside of the house.

My inspiration for this adorable mini album came from a Splitcoast Stampers newsletter a few months back that you can find HERE. I immediately fell in love and couldn’t wait for the prime opportunity to make one, putting my own spin on the design! I created the ‘Home Sweet Home’ sentiment on the computer which I cut with a stitched circle die and layered on a slightly larger stitched circle die cut. I embellished this sentiment with flowers and a stamped butterfly that I colored with Prismacolor pencils. I stamped the home definition on the other side of the roof in dark brown ink.

I used magnets to close in the house shape, and when opened, reveals panels on the inside to display photos and/or journaling. OMG, cuteness overload!

Happy to enter this sweet mini album into the following challenges:
A Bit More Time To Craft: #101 – Anything Goes
