It’s always SUMMER somewhere

4/19/20 Top Rocker at 613 Avenue Create!

Hello again, friends! Happy Easter! I’m back with a card I created for a BFF of 45+ years who is dealing with some personal stuff right now. She absolutely loves the beach and flip flops, so I dug through my stash of cut files (I have literally hundreds of them from various companies) and for some reason went right to this one. So I think it was meant to be!

I cut the base and panels, three sets of flip flops, and all the leaves on my Scan N Cut. I inked all the pieces with different colors of distress ink and then assembled the flip flops.

Then came all the fun putting it together! I added a little bling to the flip flop straps.

I stamped the sentiment in dark teal ink on the plain white signature panel. How about those chevrons embossed in the soles?! Cute, huh?!

And here’s one more look… box cards are so cool because they fold flat to fit in an envelope for mailing. The envelope was included in the cut file and I cut it from the same paper as the panels to kind of bring it all together. This will go out in the mail tomorrow and I can’t wait for my friend to receive it! ;)

I'm definitely what one could consider a crafting junkie! I love making cards, 3-D projects (especially paper shoes, mini albums and gift bags), mixed media projects, altering items, as well as occasional beading and making jewelry! Fortunately, hubby is very supportive! Life is good! :D

  2. Love the idea of all those flip flops. They are so colourful. I did dig out a pair of sandals to go to work in the other day. Coming home they were fine. Going to work at 7 in the morning was a little chilly on the toes. Thanks for joining us at The Alphabet Challenge. Love Dawn x
