Wishing You a Magical Day

Hey everybody! Hope you’re having a great weekend and your weather is nice enough to get out! We got a little more snow yesterday, flurries for most of the day, and it sure is gorgeous! Affiliate links are used in this post at no cost to you – I really appreciate your support! Today I’m sharing the project I created for The January Outlawz Freebie/Progressive Challenge where our sponsor is All Dressed Up Stamps, so come on over and play! We were gifted the adorable Rainbow Girl digital image that I used to create a sweet birthday card.

I cut a standard A2 top-folding card base from Neenah Classic Crest 110# Solar White cardstock and rounded the bottom right corner. I also cut half layering panels and an embellishing strip from coordinating papers in the Crate Paper Wonder 6×6 Cardstock Pad. I adhered the half panels to the card base and the embellishing strip (layered on CutCardStock Basis Coral cardstock) horizontally at the seam. I printed the digital image on Neenah Classic Crest 80# Solar White cardstock, cut it with a Memory Box Stitched Circle Layers die, and colored it with Prismacolor pencils and alcohol markers. Using slightly larger Spellbinders Classic Scalloped Circles Small die and Memory Box Stitched Circle Layers die, I die cut layers which I adhered beneath the image from CutCardStock Astrobrights Re-Entry Red cardstock and CutCardStock Basis Coral cardstock. I stamped the sentiment from the Prickley Pear Stamps Magical Enchanted Day stamp set in green ink and added Creative Memories Party Time pink enamel hearts.

I cut the inside panel from Neenah Classic Crest 80# Solar White cardstock and embellished it with a leftover patterned paper strip and a CutCardStock Basis Coral cardstock strip. I stamped the sentiment from the Prickley pear Stamps Scalloped Ovals 4-Floral stamp set in green ink and layered the panel on coral cardstock.

And one more peek… an adorable image that made such a sweet birthday card!

I'm definitely what one could consider a crafting junkie! I love making cards, 3-D projects (especially paper shoes, mini albums and gift bags), mixed media projects, altering items, as well as occasional beading and making jewelry! Fortunately, hubby is very supportive! Life is good! :D
