what’s up dog

Hey everybody! Happy Friday – I hope you have something fun planned this weekend! I’m super stoked to share a Keep It Simple inspiration project created with the Build-A-House Collection launching today, and our design team is hosting a social media hop to celebrate the launch! The hop starts this morning on the Keep It Simple Instagram page at 7:00 AM Pacific Time and ends Sunday night, February 18th. Two lucky winners will get a chance to win a stamp and die set of their choice simply by (1) liking the main Keep It Simple post on Instagram about the collection, (2) following @keepitsimplepapercrafts on Instagram or the Keep It Simple Inspiration Facebook Group, and (3) commenting on at least one of our project posts along the way on Instagram or one in the Keep It Simple Inspiration Facebook Group. Easy peasy!

Okay. So you HAVE to check out this collection, starting with the basic Build-A-House die set and then the add-on Build-A-Dogouse, Build-A-Cathouse and Build-A-Birdhouse die sets with coordinating stamp sets. Squeal! The fun seriously never ends with all these stamps and dies! I used the Build-A-House KIS Cuts, Build-A-Doghouse Stamps, and Build-A-Doghouse KIS Cuts to create this front flap friendship card. If you can’t resist the shopping bug, remember to use my discount code LoveToScrap2 at checkout to save 10% on your entire order! There is no minimum purchase requirement and no usage limits, plus the code combines with product, order, and shipping discounts!

I cut the front flap card base from Neenah Classic Crest 110# Solar White cardstock along with layering panels from a print in the Royal 6×9 Collection Pack. Using the Build-A-House KIS Cuts I die cut the base house pieces from papers in the Royal and Ruby 6×9 Collection Packs along with the Autumn Charm 6×9 Collection Pack.

I stamped the sentiment and the dog from the Build-A-Doghouse Stamps in Memento Tuxedo Black ink on Neenah Classic Crest 80# Solar White. I colored the dog with alcohol markers, fussy cut and edged him with a Tuxedo Black marker, and then cut the sentiment with a Stitched Circles Nested Die.

Using the Build-A-Doghouse KIS Cuts, I die cut the hydrant, dog bowl and grass from Lemon, Mango, and Jade 6×9 Collection Packs. I used a paper from the Autumn Charm 6×9 Collection Pack to die cut the bone. I grabbed a cloud from the Lumberjack Scene Building Die Cuts to complete the scene (which you can see with the card closed).

I cut the inside panel from 80# Solar White cardstock, stamped a sentiment from the Build-A-Doghouse Stamps in black ink, and layered the panel on a paper from the Royal 6×9 Collection Pack. Totally loving how this turned out!
