Hi friends! Is the weather cooling off any where you are? We’ve seen a slight drop in our nighttime temps but still have a bit of humidity. Nothing major, though. I’m delighted to share a Keep It Simple DT inspiration project with you today featuring papers, stamps and dies from our new Viva Mexico collection along with a few varieties of our Sprinkles! Who doesn’t love a shaker card?! I’ve thoroughly enjoyed creating with these pretty papers and thought a fun ‘happy birthday’ card was in order (that’s the definition of the post title)! ;)

I used a pre-scored 110# Solar White card base from CutCardStock (they are SO handy to have) and then cut layering panels from assorted prints in the 12×12 Collection Pack. I used the A2 Shaker Frame #2 for the main frame, cut from 110# Solar White. I used a Shaker Basics acetate sheet, three varieties of our Sprinkles, and our Adhesive Basics Strips to create the three-compartment shaker. I stamped the image and sentiment on Solar White cardstock as well and colored the image with Stampin’ Blends alcohol markers. I added a few details with my Stampin’ Up! white gel pen.

I cut an inside panel from the blue patterned paper used on the front (from the 12×12 Collection Pack) along with a couple frames using the A2 Shaker Frame #2 and #3 die sets. To complete the card, I added an additional ‘all the best’ sentiment along with another stamped and die cut image.
