Beach Themed Peek-A-Boo Card

Hey everybody, happy Friday! Do you have any fun plans for the weekend? It’s definitely still warm enough to hit the beach and I have some great card inspiration for you today. I’m up on the CutCardStock blog with a tutorial for making an adorable beach themed peek-a-boo card featuring our Patriot Blue, Basis Blue, Glama Brown Kraft and Classic Crest Solar White cardstock. Many years have gone by since I made this fun fold the very first time, and when I saw it several months ago on Lisa Curcio’s blog I was instantly inspired to make it again, but for another design team. So inspired that I had to make another one for this team, lol! It’s such a fun design, and despite it’s complex look, it’s really fairly simple.

I won’t go into a huge amount of detail here, so be sure to see my tutorial on the CutCardStock blog. I cut the card base pieces from Patriot Blue and Basis Blue along with patterned paper layers cut from two coordinating prints in the Keep It Simple Royal 12×12 Collection Pack. I stamped one of the sentiments on Glama Brown Kraft in Catherine Pooler Icing on the Cake ink. I used torn Glama Brown Kraft cardstock, Inspired by Stamping Seaside and Seaside Sentiments stamp sets, along with Eyelet Outlet brads to embellish the front.

I used torn Glama Brown Kraft cardstock, Inspired by Stamping Seaside and Seaside Sentiments stamp sets, along with Eyelet Outlet brads to embellish the inside as well. I did stamp and then heat emboss the inside sentiment in white using Brutus Monroe Alabaster White ink, clear embossing ink and Alabaster embossing powder. Totally LOVE how this turned out!
