12/31/21 DT Favorite at A Perfect Time To Craft Open Challenge!

Hi everyone! A super fun Happy Hump Day to you – you’ve made it half-way through the week! Affiliate links are used in this post at no cost to you. I really appreciate your support! It’s time for another fun challenge over at Mix It Up Challenge Blog and I’m excited to share my DT inspiration project for MIUCB #56 – Anything Goes + Black & White Plus One Color! All of our challenges are ‘anything goes’ and we offer a technique twist each month to inspire you. Just remember that the twist is not mandatory to play! I used black and white plus red for a Christmas card this time. Loving the black and red paper that looks like flannel paired with the oh-so-popular deer from the CUTplorations Two Reindeer Dies! ;)

This is a super simple design that could easily be mass produced. I cut a top folding 5-1/2″ square card base from Neenah Classic Crest 110# Solar White cardstock and layered the black and red flannel paper on a CutCardStock Pop-Tone Black Licorice cardstock panel which I adhered to the card base. I die cut a reindeer from red foil cardstock and a second one from CutCardStock Pop-Tone Black Licorice cardstock which I layered slightly offset beneath the red one for a slight shadow effect. I cut a layered corner element and added several black enamel dots. I heat embossed the sentiment in Hero Arts Red Embossing Powder, flagged one end and adhered it to the lower right corner of the card front.

I cut the inside panel from Neenah Classic Crest 80# Solar White cardstock and embellished it with a strip of the black and red flannel paper and a narrow strip of black cardstock, stamped the sentiment in black ink and layered the panel on CutCardStock Pop-Tone Black Licorice cardstock.

And one more look… totally loving how this turned out!

12/10/21 Winner at Creative Creases Challenge!
12/11/21 Winner at Make the Cards Challenge!

Hi friends! Well, we’ve done it once again – we’re near the end of another year! Our new challenge is live this morning over at Love To Scrap Challenge Blog and I’m super stoked to share my DT inspiration project for LTSCB #152 – Christmas BINGO! You know me and how much I love fun folds – I made a pretty side fold Christmas card. We have a fun challenge for you this time! Using our Christmas BINGO card below, choose one letter in the word BINGO and use at least three items from that column in your project! This is not your typical BINGO card where you go up/down, left/right and diagonally – you can only up and down using the columns – so let’s have some fun!

I chose column ‘I’ on the BINGO card and used four of the five items (flower, silver, pink and gemstone) in my project.

I used the TCW mini harlequin stencil with Ranger picked raspberry distress ink and a quick spritz of Tattered Angels Iridescent Silver Glimmer Mist on the background panels cut from Papertrey Ink Hibiscus Burst cardstock which I trimmed and layered on silver foil cardstock. I used my favorite Hero Arts Paper Layering Poinsettia die set to create the poinsettia on the front from American Crafts Rouge Glitter paper and a scrap of GKD Fresh Asparagus cardstock for the leaves. I adhered the poinsettia with Ranger distress collage medium with looped silver thread beneath it and added a silver foil sentiment cut from the Tim Holtz Alterations Holiday Words die set. The finishing touch was the addition of three iridescent gemstones on the narrow panel.

I cut the inside panel from Neenah Classic Crest 80# Solar White cardstock and embellished it with strips of the pink glitter paper and silver foil cardstock along with a leftover strip of stenciled paper used on the front. I stamped the sentiment from the Prickley Pear Stamps Christmas Trees stamp set in picked raspberry distress ink and layered the panel on silver foil cardstock.

And one more peek… totally loving how this turned out! There’s nothing like a Christmas card in non-traditional colors!

Fall Harvest

Happy Hump Day, everybody! Hope you’re having a great week! Affiliate links are used in this post at no cost to you. I really appreciate your support! Our last challenge of the year is live over at Love To Craft Challenge Blog and I’m stoked to share my DT inspiration project for LTCCB #65 – December Anything Goes! I have another pretty Fall card I created with Prickley Pear Stamps Oak & Maple Leaf stamp set and coordinating Oak & Maple Leaf die set. These leaves made such a pretty clean and simple card which I’m loving more and more these days! And this card would be so easy to mass produce to create a set to give as a gift!

I cut a standard A2 size top-folding card base from Neenah Classic Crest 110# Solar White cardstock, rounded the bottom right corner and stamped the sentiment in brown ink. I tied a piece of twine around a strip of corrugated kraft cardstock and adhered it to the front of the card base with foam pads. Using the Prickley Pear Stamps Oak & Maple Leaf stamp set and coordinating Oak & Maple Leaf die set I stamped four leaves in different colors and cut them with the coordinating die. I arranged them on the front of the card and adhered them with foam pads. The finishing touch was the addition of several gold flat-back pearls.

I stamped the inside sentiment in brown ink and that was it… no layers which is very unusual for me!

And one more peek… so loving this card! I think it rates right up there with a few of my other all-time favorites!

Hi friends! I’ve hit a milestone on my WordPress blog… this is my one-thousandth post! Whoop-Whoop! Nearly all of my posts have been of the crafty variety, with a few cat-related ones thrown in, lol! I’ve been blogging for a little more than ten years, starting out on Blogger in 2011 and transitioning to WordPress in 2017, nearly five years ago. In all honesty, I don’t know how many posts I had on the old Blogger blog but I’ll try to remember to look that up and update this post with a grand total of blog posts. UPDATE: I have 709 posts on the old blog, for a grand total of 1709 posts… that’s a lot of blabbing!

Let’s Get Together

Hi friends! And this is the fourth project I’m showcasing for the Trinity Ambassador “A Few of Our Favorite Things” Social Media Hop on Instagram starting at 6:00 AM PST this morning and ending at 11:59 PM PST on Friday, December 3rd! My main post is HERE. This is a clean and simple friendship card that is almost a one-layer card. I did add a panel behind the front flap so I’d have something to adhere the negative space of the cut-out to. This card features the Cafe Cup Cutout Die with sentiments from the A Sentiment for (Almost) Everything stamp set. It’s a super easy one that would be awesome to mass-produce to have several in your stash!

I cut a 5″ square top-folding card base and an extra panel from CutCardStock Royal Sundance Felt Natural cardstock. I die cut the cup into the front flap using the Cafe Cup Cutout Die and adhered the extra panel behind the front flap. I die cut the cup once more from CutCardStock Curious Metallic Chestnut cardstock and adhered the negative space into the cut-out on the front flap. I stamped the front sentiment from the A Sentiment for (Almost) Everything stamp set in brown ink and added some clear gemstones that I colored with a brown alcohol marker to complete the front.

I stamped the inside sentiment from the A Sentiment for (Almost) Everything stamp set in brown ink directly on the inside flap without doing any layering. Very unusual for me, lol!

And one more look… super happy with how this turned out! As I mentioned above, this card would be super easy to mass-produce to have several in your stash!

From Our Gnome to Yours

Hey peeps! This is the third project I’m showcasing for the Trinity Ambassador “A Few of Our Favorite Things” Social Media Hop on Instagram starting at 6:00 AM PST this morning and ending at 11:59 PM PST on Friday, December 3rd! My main post is HERE. Yep, you guessed it… another mini slim! I LOVE mini slimline cards – they are my new favorite size! Affiliate links are used in this post at no cost to you – I really appreciate your support! This card features the From Our Gnome to Yours stamp set and From Our Gnome to Yours die set, and the inside sentiment is from the A Sentiment for (Almost) Everything stamp set. I can’t get enough of the Trinity Stamps gnomes, so it’s no wonder that two of my four projects feature gnome stamps and dies!

I cut the mini slim card base from Neenah Classic Crest 110# Solar White cardstock along with a layering panel from the Christmas Holiday Print 6×6 paper pad using the Waffle Flower Mini Slimline Layers die set. I cut a felt doily almost in half and set the larger piece aside. I stamped the focal image from the From Our Gnome to Yours stamp set in black ink on Solar White cardstock, colored it with alcohol markers, and cut it with the coordinating From Our Gnome to Yours die set. I stamped and die cut the sentiment from the same stamps and dies, and adhered all the elements to the card front. The final touch was adding some gemstones from the Ruby Radiance Embellishment Mix using the Trinity Pick Up Stick which is a “must” in your crafty stash!

I cut the inside panel from Neenah Classic Crest 80# Solar White cardstock using the Waffle Flower Mini Slimline Layers die set and embellished it with a leftover strip of patterned paper used on the front. I stamped the sentiment from the A Sentiment for (Almost) Everything stamp set in black ink and layered the panel on CutCardStock Pop-Tone Jellybean Green cardstock cardstock.

And one more look… another absolutely ah-DOR-able gnome from Trinity Stamps!

Hi friends! This is the second project I’m showcasing for the Trinity Ambassador “A Few of Our Favorite Things” Social Media Hop on Instagram starting at 6:00 AM PST this morning and ending at 11:59 PM PST on Friday, December 3rd! My main post is HERE. I mentioned in my last post that I was in a mini slimline kind of mood… and three of my four projects were mini slims, lol! Affiliate links are used in this post at no cost to you – I really appreciate your support! This card features die cuts from the Coffee Cut & Foil Die Set and the inside sentiment is from A Sentiment for (Almost) Everything stamp set. I wanted a ‘country’ feel to this card so that’s why I chose not to use the foil plates. But stay tuned because it won’t be long before I do use them!

I cut the mini slimline card base from CutCardStock Basis Brown cardstoc k along with a layering panel from Hot Off The Press Sunflowers 6×6 double-sided cardstock using the Waffle Flower Mini Slimline Layers die set. I die cut the coffee sentiment four times from Neenah Classic Crest Baronial Ivory cardstock using the die from the Coffee Cut & Foil Die Set and layered them together for a little dimension. I die cut the coffee cup from ivory and brown cardstock, the coffee beans from brown cardstock, and the mid section of the cup and beans from scraps of the patterned paper, and did some paper piecing to complete them. I adhered all the elements to the card front (using double-sided adhesive foam strips for the cup), and added a few gemstones from the Ruby Radiance Embellishment Mix using the Trinity Pick Up Stick – which is a true life-saver when adhering gemstones!

I cut the inside panel from Neenah Classic Crest Baronial Ivory cardstock using the Waffle Flower Mini Slimline Layers die set and embellished it with a leftover strip of patterned paper used on the front and a narrow strip of CutCardStock Basis Brown cardstock. I stamped the sentiment from the A Sentiment for (Almost) Everything stamp set in brown ink and adhered the panel to the inside of the card base. I had leftover heart die cuts so I pieced one together and adhered it to the inside panel.

And one more peek… super awesome coffee-loving card! Love the country feel!

We’re Gnome for the Holidays

Hi everybody! This is the first project I’m showcasing for the Trinity Ambassador “A Few of Our Favorite Things” Social Media Hop on Instagram starting at 6:00 AM PST this morning and ending at 11:59 PM PST on Friday, December 3rd! My main post is HERE. I was in a mini slimline kind of mood… my new favorite size card (3-1/2″ x 6″) that’s a legal size to mail! Affiliate links are used in this post at no cost to you – I really appreciate your support! This card features the Gnome for the Holidays stamp set and Gnome for the Holidays die set and the inside sentiment is from the A Sentiment for (Almost) Everything stamp set. Such a fun little travelin’ scene!

I cut the mini slim card base from Neenah Classic Crest 110# Solar White cardstock along with a layering panel from the Christmas Holiday Print 6×6 paper pad using the Waffle Flower Mini Slimline Layers die set. I hand-cut the highway from CutCardStock Basis Gray cardstock and used a white paint pen to draw the dotted center line. I stamped the focal image from the Gnome for the Holidays stamp set in black ink on Solar White cardstock, colored it with alcohol markers (and gold pen for the ornaments), and cut it with the coordinating Gnome for the Holidays die set. I added Ranger Glossy Accents to the headlights and the gold ornaments on the tree. I stamped and die cut the sentiment from the same stamps and dies, and adhered all the elements to the card front.

I cut the inside panel from Neenah Classic Crest 80# Solar White cardstock using the Waffle Flower Mini Slimline Layers die set and embellished it with a leftover strip of patterned paper used on the front and a narrow strip of CutCardStock Basis Gray cardstock. I stamped the sentiment from the A Sentiment for (Almost) Everything stamp set in black ink and layered the panel on gray cardstock.

And one more look… I absolutely LOVE gnomes, and Trinity Stamps has some of the most adorable out there! Super happy with this travelin’ guy! ;)

Trinity Stamps Ambassador “A Few of Our Favorite Things” Social Media Hop

Hey everybody! It’s definitely a Happy Monday and we have some fun in store for you all week long! Affiliate links are used in this post at no cost to you – I really appreciate your support! Hey peeps! It’s a nice crisp 30 degrees here this morning and we haven’t had any more snow since the other day when we had some that didn’t stick. The snowflakes were huge, though! I have a card to share this morning for the new Festive Fridays Challenge that started yesterday over at The Outlawz Challenges. SheepSki Designs is sponsoring this month and the themes this time are Christmas, Anything Goes, Thank You and Winter/Snowy. This thank you card is perfect for the challenge and was so much fun to create using Perfect Pearls in Blue Smoke, Forever Green, Forever Red, Forever Violet, Kiwi and Perfect Pearl and the smooshing technique on black glossy cardstock.

I cut a standard A2 size landscape top-folding card base from CutCardStock Basis Black cardstock along with layering panels from Marcos Black Gloss cardstock and Neenah Classic Crest 80# Solar White cardstock. I created the background on the black gloss cardstock panel by smooshing it into Blue Smoke, Forever Green, Forever Red, Forever Violet, Kiwi and Perfect Pearl powders (individually) that I spritzed with water in the Tim Holtz Distress Sprayer. I cut the large bold portion of the sentiment from Neenah Classic Crest 110# Solar White cardstock using the Waffle Flower Bold Alpha dies, and then added the smaller portion stamped with the Waffle Flower Sentiment Additions stamp set in black ink and cut with the coordinating Waffle Flower Sentiment Additions die set.

I cut the inside panel from Neenah Classic Crest 80# Solar White cardstock and embellished it with a leftover strip trimmed from the front panel along with a narrow strip of CutCardStock Basis Black cardstock. I stamped the sentiment from the Waffle Flower Sentiment Additions stamp set in black ink and adhered the panel to the inside of the card base.

And one more peek… so loving how this turned out! It’s a very versatile background that could fit any theme whatsoever! AND not to mention it’s a super fun technique!
