Hey everybody! I hope your week has started off rather nicely! I have another Splitcoast Stampers Dirty Dozen DT inspiration project to share with you today – a motivational tag with inlaid die cuts and bold pops of purple, lime green and pink! I love making tags and don’t seem to make very many for some reason. And I used a dragonfly die set that I’ve had in my stash for quite some time and have never used, so I thought it was time to bring it out for a play!

I cut two tags from CutCardStock Basis Black cardstock and die cut three dragonfly shaped apertures into one of them, using the Prickley Pear Stamps dainty Dragonflies dies, reserving the negative space pieces to put back into the apertures for a little dimension. I die cut the dragonflies twice more from Basis Black and purple, lime green and pink striped papers in the Doodlebug Design Dot-Stripe Rainbow Petite Prints 6×6 paper pad, and adhered them on top of the negative spaces in the tag with the striped papers on top.

I added gemstones from the Trinity Stamps Amethyst Accent, Andradite Sparkle and Morganite Muse Embellishment Mixes using my Trinity Pick Up Stick. I adhered several motivational sentiments from the Tim Holtz Idea-ology Small Talk stickers. The final touch was adding black stripe ribbon from Really Reasonable Ribbon which I tied with Doodlebug Design Lily White Doodle Twine.

UPcycled Congrats

Howdy peeps! Happy Monday! It sure got here fast, lol! I have another Splitcoast Stampers Dirty Dozen DT inspiration project to share with you this morning – a congrats card created with a piece of an empty tissue box! I’ve made several cards from upcycled tissue boxes over the last few months and always love how they turn out! Nothing like keeping a little something out of the landfill, even if it’s only a small piece!

I cut a 3-1/2″ x 6″ mini slimline card base from CutCardStock Basis 110# Natural cardstock along with a layering panel from CutCardStock Pop Tone Black Licorice cardstock. I trimmed a piece of the tissue box down to size and layered it on the black cardstock and then to the front of the card base. I die cut the sentiment from CutCardStock Basis 80# Natural and Pop Tone Black Licorice using the Kat Scrappiness Congrats Word Die with Shadow. The finishing touch was adding several Eyelet Outlet Black Glitter Enamel Dots.

I cut the inside panel from Basis 80# White and embellished it with a leftover piece of Black Licorice cardstock. I stamped the sentiment from the Keep It Simple Congratulations sentiment stamp set in Memento Tuxedo Black ink and layered the panel on Black Licorice.

under the weather

Hi friends! Well, the weekend is half over and I hope you’re doing something fun! Blink and it’ll be Monday again, lol! I’ve popped in this morning to share another Splitcoast Stampers Dirty Dozen DT inspiration project. This clean and simple get well card features an adorable heart button and a strip of washi tape with a little stamping. A very simple design that would easily be mass produced to have a few extra in your stash.

I cut a standard A2 size top-folding landscape card base from Neenah Classic Crest 110# Solar White cardstock and rounded the bottom right corner. I added a strip of MAMBI skinny washi tape across the bottom. I stamped the sentiment from the Keep It Simple Get Well sentiment stamp set in Memento Tuxedo Black and Catherine Pooler Coral Cabana inks just above the washi tape. I added a My Love heart button from Buttons Galore & More along with a few clear gemstones from the Buttons Galore & More Wish Upon A Star Mix Upz Embellishments.

I kept the inside just as simple as the front. I added a strip of the MAMBI washi tape and stamped another sentiment from the Keep It Simple Get Well sentiment stamp set in the same inks used on the front.

Hey everybody! Happy Saturday! I hope you have something really fun planned this weekend! I’ve popped in to share another Splitcoast Stampers Dirty Dozen DT inspiration project! This pretty thank you card features gorgeous florals on a stacked stone background! Such a simple design and I really love how it turned out!

I cut a standard A2 size side-folding card base from Neenah Classic Crest 110# Solar White cardstock along with a layering panel from 80# Solar White on which I stamped the stacked stone background from Stampin’ Up. I created a bunch of florals for my stash using the Pinkfresh Studio In The Meadow Washi Tape and Die, and adhered some of them to the card front.

I heat embossed the sentiments from the Pinkfresh Studio Just A Hello Floral stamp set in black, cut them with the coordinating Pinkfresh Studio Just A Hello Floral die set, and adhered one to the card front. The finishing touch was adding several gemstones from the Trinity Stamps Morganite Muse Embellishment Mix using my Trinity Pick Up Stick

I cut the inside panel from 80# Solar White and embellished it with strips of Solar White and CutCardStock Pop Tone Cotton Candy cardstock. I added another Pinkfresh Studio Just A Hello Floral heat embossed sentiment which completed the card.

Merry Christmas Shaker Album

Hey everybody! Happy Monday – I hope you had a great weekend! I’m stoked to be back with another Keep It Simple DT inspiration project to share for our ‘Christmas in July’ showcase! I hope you had a chance to hop with us this past weekend to get in on the chance to win a $50 gift certificate! Our design team shared some very festive projects to get everybody in the Christmas spirit, and my contribution for the hop was a stationery box you can see HERE! My project today is a super sweet Merry Christmas Shaker Album created in a pink and green color combo! OMGoodness, this was fun!

I created the album and pages from Neenah Classic Crest 110# Solar White cardstock and all the flip-ups and flip-outs from 80# Solar White cardstock. I used patterned papers from the Rose and Jade 12×12 Collection Packs for the cover, pages, and flips. I embellished the inside pages and flips with elements from the Christmas Bundle SVG Files, Stitched Squares Nested Dies, Stitched Rectangles Nested Dies, Rose Enamel Dots and Jade Enamel Dots. I used papers from the Lemon 12×12 Collection Pack for the Christmas tree stars.

I used the Belle Outline dies and Christmas Bundle SVG Files to embellish the shaker on the front. I made the shaker mix using Buttons Galore & More Pitter Patter Doo Dadz Embellishments, Limeade Sprintletz Embellishments, Love Story Half Pearlz Embellishments, Blizzard Sequin Mix and Pink Grapefruit Buttons.

Merry Christmas Post-It Note Holder

Hey everybody! Okay, where has this month gone?! The last I knew, we were celebrating the Fourth of July! I’m up on the Prickley Pear Stamps blog today with an inspiration project for our ‘Christmas in July’ showcase featuring the Ham Camper stamps and dies along with the Ham Camper Winter stamps. Having been a full-time RVer for several years, these really speak to me and I just love them! I created an easel type post-it note holder which is both practical and super cute! It just so happened that I had the perfect patterned paper in my stash to park my Christmas camper on! ;)

I cut the easel base from CutCardStock Kraft Chipboard and a layering panel from a patterned paper in the American Crafts Snowy Lodge 6×6 paper pad. I stamped the camper from the Ham Camper stamps and Ham Camper Winter stamps in Memento Tuxedo Black ink on CutCardStock Cougar Smooth 100# White cardstock and colored it with Sharpie ultra fine point markers and alcohol markers.

I added highlights with a Sakura White Gelly Roll pen and cut it with the coordinating Ham Camper die. I stamped the sentiment in black ink, trimmed it and adhered it to the top of the easel panel. The finishing touch was adding a few tiny red gemstones.

Fa La La Stationery Box

8/9/23 Top 3 Winner at Crafty Gals Corner!

Hey everybody! Happy Saturday… another week is behind us which means we’re a little closer to Christmas and that sure doesn’t disappoint me! I’m delighted to be back with a ‘Christmas in July’ inspiration project to share for Keep It Simple DT! Don’t you just love seeing all the Christmas projects this time of year?! Our design team has created some pretty awesome projects to share and we’re having a social media hop, so be sure to check it out for a chance to win a gift certificate! I created a stationery box using products in our Scandinavian Christmas Collection!

This amazing little box contains six Christmas cards, six tags, three square notelets, an address book and pen, and a pocket for a book of stamps! I’ve made a couple of these over the years and if you’re interested in looking, they are HERE and HERE. The first one was sort of plain (although still very awesome) but the second one was stepped up a bit which is my favorite version of the two.

I created the stationery box base and lid using coordinating papers in the Ruby 12×12 Collection Pack from the Christmas Bundle. The fun part is always the assembly! I embellished the box and lid with Scandinavian Christmas Alphabits Die Cut Pieces and Santa & Friends Die Cut Pieces along with some clear gemstones in my stash. I made the address book, pen loop and stamp pocket with the same paper collection and used Santa & Friends Die Cut Pieces along with a couple strips of skinny gold washi tape in my stash.

Next, I made six tags, three 3×3 notelets and six A2 size cards to tuck into the pockets, all from Cougar Smooth White cardstock. I used papers from the Scandinavian Christmas 6×9 Collection Pack and 6×9 Cardstock Pack, Stitched Rectangles Nested Dies and Stitched Squares Nested dies for the notelets and cards. I hand-cut the tags and tied jute cord to them. I embellished all the cards and tags with items from the Santa & Friends Die Cut Pieces, Gnomes Die Cut Pieces and Royal Enamel Dots. I used the Santa & Friends Stamps for the sentiment on the cards, stamped in Catherine Pooler Stone Blue ink and popped up on foam strips. I made envelopes for the notelets and cards from 32# HP copy paper using my WRMK Envelope Punch Board.

Let Your Dreams Set Sail

7/30/23 Rising Star at A Place To Start!

Hey everybody! I hope you had a good week and you have something fun planned this weekend! I have an awesome CutCardStock DT inspiration project to share with you today featuring our Pop Tone Lemon Drop and Pop Tone Red Hot cardstock which I paired with our Cougar Smooth 100# White cardstock. The Pop Tone line is one of my favorites because of all the beautiful colors. I created a CAS masculine birthday card using a stamp set and punch that I think I’ve only used once and felt like they needed to come out for another play!

I cut a standard A2 size top-fold card base from Cougar Smooth 100# White cardstock. Using the Stampin’ Up Let’s Set Sail stamp set, I stamped the lake and sailboat shadow on the card base in Catherine Pooler Stone Blue and Cove Blue inks. I die cut a stitched circle for the sun from Pop Tone Lemon Drop cardstock using the Keep It Simple Stitched Circles Nested Dies and stamped the lake across the bottom of the circle and fussy cut the border to match up with the lake stamped on the card front.

I ink blended Ranger fossilized amber distress ink around the edges of the circle with a blending brush. Using the same stamp set, I stamped the sailboat elements in Catherine Pooler Rockin’ Red and Twilight inks and punched them with the Stampin’ Up Sailboat Builder punch. I adhered the sun and sailboat, and then stamped the birds and sentiment in Memento Tuxedo Black ink.

I stamped the inside sentiment from the same Stampin’ Up Let’s Set Sail stamp set in Memento Tuxedo Black ink, then adhered Pop Tone Red Hot and Pop Tone Lemon Drop cardstock strips across the top.

Beachy block card

Hi friends! I hope you have something fun planned this weekend and it doesn’t involve being outside! In addition to the heat, we’re dealing with biting insects – I don’t remember them being this bad here before! Yay for Deep Woods Off! I’m delighted to be back to share another ScrapbookingStore DT inspiration project with you this morning created with the awesome July 2023 Scrapbook Kit with Upgrades. I just love, love, love the patterns and colors in this month’s collection! I chose a bold black and white stripe pattern with a complimentary red and white star patterned paper along with some chipboard stamp elements, a tag and adhesive brads from the upgrades to create a colorful quilt block card!

I cut a standard A2 size side-folding card base from Neenah Classic Crest 110# Solar White cardstock along with a layering panel and embellishing strip from two bold patterns in the collection. I chose four stamps from the chipboard phrases and a tag from the frames & tags in the upgrades for the card front. The finishing touch was adding two red brads from the adhesive brads in the upgrades.

I embellished the inside with a strip of the red and white star patterned paper used on the front along with a double-stitched square die cut from my die cuts bin. I really have to work on using these more often because the bin is over half full, lol! This one was cut from CutCardStock Twine cardstock using a My Favorite Things Double Stitched Square STAX. I added a stamp sticker from the sticker sheet, which completed the card.

8/1/23 DT Favorite Winner at Classic Design Challenge Blog!

Hey everybody! How are you holding up in this heat?! Even though it’s pretty warm here in southwestern Colorado, we don’t feel the heat quite like most other central and coastal states because we don’t have as much humidity. That’s definitely a good thing! I’m thrilled to share another ScrapbookingStore DT inspiration project with you this morning created with the amazing July 2023 Scrapbook Kit with Upgrades. I’m so digging this collection of awesome papers, stickers, frames and tags, and adhesive brads! The fact that every single paper and element coordinates with all the others makes it that much more fun to create with! I made a mini slimline step card (my tutorial for this fun fold is HERE) showcasing the papers and stickers as well as items in the upgrades!

I cut the card base using my Fiskars 12″ SureCut paper trimmer and Neenah Classic Crest 80# Solar White cardstock. I cut layers from two coordinating papers in the kit as well as a length of crocheted lace from my stash. I chose the focal element from the Frames & Tags in the upgrades, and then added several stickers from the sticker sheet which I popped up on foam strips. The finishing touch was adding two adhesive brads from the upgrades.

I cut the back panel from 80# Solar White cardstock as well and embellished it with a sticker from the sticker sheet. I’ve also included a side shot so you can see the cool construction of this step card! So fun!
