Hope you get your fill <3

Hey everybody! I hope your Tuesday is chuggin’ along nicely! I’m back with another post today to share a triple z-fold (dang, I’m obsessed with this fold!) that I created specifically to enter into the current Gecko Galz Monthly Christmas Challenge! As I mentioned in my last post, just use the image supplied and upload a photo of your project for a chance to win a $25 shopping spree in the Gecko Galz Etsy store! Easy peasy – and you get a super adorable digital image out of the deal! And this one couldn’t be any stinkin’ cuter! I totally enjoyed creating this card with it!

The card base was cut from Neenah Classic Crest 80# Solar White cardstock and embellished with large and small gingham prints from the Hot Off The Press Gingham #2 6×6 double-sided paper pack and Prickley Pear Stamps red Scalloped Border Adhesive Ribbon.

I printed the image on Hammermill 60# copy paper, cut it with a Keep It Simple Stitched Rectangles Nested Die, and layered it on CutCardStock Brown Bag Kraft Paper. The finishing touch was adding a couple brown enamel hearts from the Keep It Simple Clementine Enamel Shapes.

The back panel was also cut from Solar White cardstock and embellished with a leftover strip of Brown Bag Kraft Paper. The sentiment is from the Stampin’ Up Cookie Cutter Christmas stamp set, stamped in Memento Espresso Truffle ink. I’ve included a shot of the card folded flat for mailing. L-O-V-E it!

Have a Magical Holiday Season

Hi friends! I hope you’re having a terrific Tuesday! I’ve popped on this morning to share a swing flap fun fold that I created specifically to enter into the current Gecko Galz Monthly Card Challenge! Use the image supplied and upload a photo of your project for a chance to win a $25 shopping spree in the Gecko Galz Etsy store! I’m proud to share that I won a $50 shopping spree in the Tricks and Treats Blog Hop last month! You just can’t go wrong – Leanne has a ton of amazing digital images in her shop and if you win you can really load up your digital stash PLUS you get free digital sheets at each stop on the hop! There are always monthly challenges going on with free images for you to create your projects with! And isn’t this image to die for?! It screamed ‘swing flap fun fold’ to me so that’s the direction I went!

The card base was cut from CutCardStock Basis Brown cardstock and embellished with panels cut from a neutral vintage-y paper in the Hot Off The Press Joyful Christmas 6×6 double-sided paper pack. The image (printed on Hammermill 60# copy paper) was cut with a Keep It Simple Stitched Squares Nested Die and layered on another stitched square cut from CutCardStock Stardream Metallic Antique Gold using a My Favorite Things Stitched Square STAX. The front sentiment is from the CAS-ual Fridays Stamps Snowy Sayings stamp set, stamped in Memento Espresso Truffle ink. I added a few brown gemstones to complete the card front.

I layered panels of CutCardStock Basis Natural and Antique Gold cardstock on the inside and stamped a sentiment from the Hero Arts Christmas Messages stamp set. Love how this one folds completely flat for mailing!

Hey everybody! I hope you’re having a great Monday! I’m back this afternoon with another Keep It Simple DT inspiration project created with the amazing Autumn Charm Collection! This is honestly one of the best Autumn/Fall collections out there as far as I’m concerned and I’ve had a large time creating with it! I created an impossible card – and I don’t remember where I saw it originally so I can’t give anyone credit – but it was many years ago and I’ve made quite a few of them over the years. Just search the web for it and you’ll get tons of results. It’s an easy one and I’ve seen it made with both one and two horizontal bands. I prefer making it with two because they balance it out and give it a tad more stability.

I cut the card base from CutCardStock Cougar Smooth 100# White cardstock along with layering panels from coordinating papers in the 12×12 Collection Pack. This is a fun one to assemble!

I stamped the focal image using stamps in the Autumn Sentiments Stamps and cut the image with the coordinating Autumn Sentiments Outline Dies. I used a variety of die cuts from the Autumn Foxes Die Cut Pieces to embellish the card. The finishing touch was adding some small light green gemstones to the focal image panel and a few scattered brown gemstones on the base.

Meet Me in the Orchard

Hey everybody, Happy Monday! I hope you had a great weekend! I’m stoked to be back with another Keep It Simple DT inspiration project to share this morning created with the amazing Autumn Charm Collection! I’m in love with literally everything in this collection and have had THE best time creating projects – and this swing easel card is no exception! Of course, I’m a huge fan of Autumn and Fall, so that explains quite a bit! This fun fold was showcased in a Splitcoast Stampers newsletter back some time ago HERE if you’re interested. It’s definitely a fun one!

I cut the card base from CutCardStock Cougar Smooth 100# white cardstock along with layering panels from coordinating papers in the 12×12 Collection Pack. As with most fun folds and 3-D projects, the assembly is always the most fun!

I used a variety of die cuts from the Autumn Foxes Die Cut Pieces to embellish the card along with a butterfly from the Autumn Hedgehogs Die Cut Pieces. I popped several of the elements up with foam strips.

Hey everybody! A big ol’ Happy Thursday to you all! I’ve popped in today with a Keep It Simple DT inspiration project created with the NEW Ski Resort Collection! OMGoodness, I bet you could hear me squealing all the way where you live, lol! This is a FABulous collection to say the least! Use code SKI10 for 10% off your Ski Resort order! I created several awesome projects with this collection and the first one we’re sharing is a super fun pull tab flip card! My inspiration came from Aubrey over at the StampingJill YouTube Channel HERE via my friend, Debbie. It’s really a pretty easy fold despite it’s complex look!

I cut the base from Neenah Classic Crest 110# Solar White cardstock and one layering panel along with flip card layers from 80# Solar White cardstock. I stamped the Sweater Background on the layering panel and then stamped the sentiment and images from the Deck The Hills Collection Stamps on 80# Solar White as well, colored the images with alcohol markers and cut them all with the coordinating Deck The Hills Outline Dies. The other layering panel was cut from a pattern in the Collection Pack with the Stitched Rectangles Nested Dies.

I cut a half circle at the bottom of the card using the Stitched Circles Nested Dies. I embellished the inside of the flip card with die cuts from the Sentiments Die Cut Pieces and the Scenery Die Cut Pieces. I used some Back To Basics Royal Ribbon on the pull tab. This was definitely a fun one and packs a punch for the recipient!

Scrappy hugs,

Give Thanks In All Things

Howdy peeps! I hope you’re having a great week! Happy Veteran’s Day and many thanks to those who served and who are currently serving! <3 I have one more ScrapbookingStore DT inspiration project to share that I created with the awesome November 2023 Scrapbook Kit with Upgrades! In addition to all the awesome coordinating patterns and colors in this month’s collection, you know I’m a huge fan of Autumn/Fall AND fun folds!

I created a triple Z-fold featuring two gorgeous coordinating papers, a sentiment from a journaling card in the collection, and enamel dots and puffy stickers from the upgrades. This is such a fantastic fold that really packs a punch, and I hope you all aren’t disappointed that I’ve made another one, lol! I made the strips on this one slightly narrower than the last one so more of the background paper shows. And I’ve added this project showing the comparison of the width of the strips to the instructions in the Freebies section of my blog, so be sure to check it out if you’d like to learn how to make this fun fold.

The card base and strips were cut from Neenah Classic Crest 110# Solar White cardstock and embellished with two coordinating prints from the kit. The sentiment is a trimmed-down journaling card from the paper pack and embellished with a twine bow and puffy stickers from the upgrades. I finished the front with a few enamel dots, also from the upgrades.

The back panel is also embellished with a coordinating print and a sentiment created with a puffy sticker from the upgrades. I love that this standard sized A2 card folds flat for mailing!

Hey everybody! Happy Friday – can’t believe it’s here already! But that’s a good thing for most working folks! I’m back this morning with another amazing ScrapbookingStore DT inspiration project to share that I created with the awesome November 2023 Scrapbook Kit with Upgrades! With the beautiful Autumn/Fall weather upon us, I thought it was only fitting to create a coffee cup shaped gift card holder with pretty patterned papers and stickers from the collection. I’ve made quite a few coffee cup shaped cards over the years (reworked from THIS tutorial from Splitcoast Stampers) but this is the first time I’ve ever made it with the gift card mechanism inside and I love how it turned out!

The card base was cut from heavyweight white cardstock and embellished with three coordinating prints from the kit. The sentiment was die cut from a journaling card in the paper pack and embellished with flourish stickers from the sticker sheet. I dry embossed the cup ‘sleeve’ with a Darice Stripes embossing folder. The front was finished with an additional sticker across the top of the lid and some gemstones.

I embellished the inside panel with a couple more stickers from the sticker sheet. This would be awesome with a Starbucks gift card!

‘Tis The Season To Be FALL-y

Hey everybody! Happy Thursday! I have a very cool ScrapbookingStore DT inspiration project to share that I created with the awesome November 2023 Scrapbook Kit with Upgrades! The Fall colors and prints in this month’s collection are phenomenal and the ideas running through my head are never-ending! I created a fun hidden message slider card featuring papers and stickers along with a chipboard phrase and puffy stickers from the upgrades. I’ve made several hidden message slider cards in the past and my notes are for a hand-cut version. I now have a My Favorite Things die (yesss!) that makes this hidden message slider card without all the measuring and I’m beyond tickled!

The base of this card is cut from Neenah Classic Crest 110# Solar White cardstock and layered with several prints from this month’s collection. The focal image on the hidden slider panel is a chipboard phrase embellished with a couple puffy stickers, all from the upgrades.

When the hidden slider panel is pulled upward, the hidden message appears beneath it which I created with stickers from the sticker sheet. Such a fun surprise for the recipient!

Scrappy hugs,

I’m So Glad It’s Fall Time!

Hi everyone! I hope your week is plugging along nicely! I have an amazing ScrapbookingStore DT inspiration project to share that I created with the awesome November 2023 Scrapbook Kit with Upgrades! I’m sure by now you know that the Autumn/Fall season is my favorite. I totally love all the coordinating papers and stickers along with the upgrades in this month’s kit and I created a pull tab flip card featuring papers, stickers and a chipboard phrase from the upgrades. This is such fun fold and my inspiration came from Aubrey over at Stamping Jill through another friend, Debbie. Tutorials for both landscape and portrait options are available on the Stamping Jill website.

I used CutCardStock Basis Natural cardstock for the base along with coordinating papers from the collection layered on CutCardStock Basis Black cardstock. I embellished the front with a large sticker included in the paper pack and a chipboard phrase in the upgrades. I used Really Reasonable Ribbon yellow gingham ribbon and Doodlebug Design Lily White Doodle Twine on the pull tab.

I embellished the inside of the flip mechanism with a journaling card from the paper pack which I cut in half, rounded the corners, and layered on Basis Black cardstock. I also used stickers from the sticker sheet on the panels for some interest.

Scrappy hugs,

Happy Autumn

Howdy, friends! I hope you’re having a great day! I’m back with my second post today to share one more Keep It Simple DT inspiration project created with paper, dies and ephemera in the Farmhouse Fall Collection. I tell you, I sure have enjoyed these products and I could create Autumn and Fall stuff all year long! This is a flat card (meaning there is no flap and the second sentiment is on the back – kind of like a post card) with a raised inlaid die cut. I totally love the this technique and seem to be doing it often these days!

I cut a standard A2 size flat card base from CutCardStock Basis 80# Natural cardstock along with a layering panel from a patterned paper in the 6×9 CardStock Pack. Using the largest background die in the Happy Autumn KIS Cuts, I cut an aperture into the layering panel and then cut two more background pieces from Basis Natural which I layered together for dimension. I die cut the rest of the pieces from papers in the Cardstock Pack, assembled the focal image and adhered it to the layered background, and then adhered it into the negative space on the card front. The finishing touch was adding a few Jade enamel dots.

I cut the back panel from Basis Natural cardstock and embellished it with a strip of the green paper used on the front. I added a sentiment from the Falling For You Ephemera Die Cut Pieces and layered the panel on navy paper.
