Call Me! note card

Hi everyone! Happy Tuesday – I hope your week has started off well! It’s time for another fun challenge over at Stinkin’ Inkers Challenge Blog and I’m happy to share my DT inspiration project for our January Tag It challenge! We’d love to see you create a tag or use tag(s) on your project! I created a fun retro note card featuring an old rotary-dial phone using October Afternoon products.

2018_12020009a

The background pieces, phone dial and tags are lightly inked with distress ink. I layered all the elements and popped the tags up on foam tape for  a little dimension.

2018_12020010a

I layered the inside panel on light turquoise cardstock and embellished it with some coordinating October Afternoon stickers.

2018_12020011a

One more look… this was a quick note card that went together very easily. Love me some October Afternoon!

As you know, the Love To Scrap Challenge Blog is turning six this month, and to celebrate, we’re hosting a Sixth Birthday Blog Hop & Challenge lasting six days, with six sponsors and six prizes! Be sure to visit the blog to check out all the details! I’m showcasing each of my blog hop projects individually so I can enjoy sharing them in some challenges.

My first blog hop project that I’d like to share is a pretty friendship card created with the adorable Rose Vases image from Bugaboo Digi Stamps that I’ve had in my digi stash for a while. I thought this would be the perfect time to break it out. I colored the image with my Studio 71 alcohol markers and cut it with a dotted rectangles die.

2019_0303001a

I cut three more dotted rectangle die cuts in graduating sizes and different colors, layered them all together, and adhered the panel to the front of the card base. I added a couple stickers and a button, and the front was finished.

2019_0303002a

I kept the inside simple with just a stamped sentiment (one of my favorites) on a layered panel.

2019_0303003a

Here’s one more look… very happy with how this turned out. I’m such a sucker for bright colors!

Life’s A Journey … Enjoy The Ride

Hi everyone!

The next blog hop project I’d like to share is a very awesome masculine card I created with the Afternoon Ride pre-colored digital image from Fred, She Said! I cut the image with a rounded square die and then cut another one slightly larger and layered them together.

2019_0303009a

I rounded the corners of the card base and used a small gingham print paper which I cut on a diagonal, using half on the front and half on the inside. I used a piece of black and gold skinny Washi tape on the diagonal edge. I popped the layered focal image up on thick black foam for some dimension.

2019_03030010a

I really love the sentiment continued on the inside from the front – it really goes well with this image! I stamped the ‘Life’s a Journey’ badge (which I punched out using the coordinating punch) and affixed it to the inside.

2019_03030011a

And here’s one more look… this turned out very cool and I’m thinking this might be one for the hubby!

The next blog hop project I like to share is a gorgeous purple birthday card I created using a couple stamps from CAS-ual Fridays Stamps Whole Shebang stamp set. This stamp set has some of the coolest sentiments ever!

2019_03030020a

I layered a piece of digital paper on dark purple cardstock to create the background. I stamped the large birthday sentiment on white cardstock and cut it with a stitched rectangle die. I cut another stitched rectangle die cut from medium purple cardstock and another stitched scallop die cut from the dark purple cardstock, and then layered them all together. I adhered them to the background which was then adhered to the card base. I added some white gel pen dots to the sentiment and a few gemstones to complete the front.

2019_03030021a

I decorated the inside panel with leftover strips of paper and cardstock used on the front, then stamped the sentiment.

2019_03030022a

And one final look… loving how this turned out! What an amazing stamp set!

Another blog hop project I’d like to share is an anniversary card I created using the super awesome Ballroom Brenda digital image from Dr. Digi’s House of Stamps! John never disappoints with his humor! I colored this image with my Studio 71 alcohol markers and added a sentiment and a gold heart die cut directly on the image panel.

2019_03030013a

I used coordinating striped and dotted papers layered on pink and white cardstock along with an added narrow strip of the gold mirror cardstock to compliment the gold heart.

2019_03030014a

I layered the inside panel on a piece of the striped paper, stamped the sentiment, and added one more gold heart.

The next blog hop project I’d like to share is a clean and simple thank you card created with the One in a Chameleon clear stamp set and matching One in a Chameleon lawn cuts from Lawn Fawn is super adorable! I started with a top-fold card base and adhered a strip of perfectly plaid chill paper down the left side. I used the cross-stitch border die from the stitched borders lawn cuts on the paper strip prior to adhering it to the card base.

2019_0303005a

I stamped the chameleon, branch and leaves on white cardstock, colored them with my Studio 71 alcohol markers, and cut them with the dies. I adhered them to the card front and then stamped the sentiment in a vertical fashion along the edge of the paper strip.

2019_0303006a

I decorated the inside panel with leftover strips of paper and cardstock used on the front, stamped a sentiment and cut it with a stitched circle die, and adhered it to the panel.

My final blog hop project is a fun friendship card using A Girl and Her Shoes stamp set from STAMPlorations! This is one of my favorite stamp sets. The top flap on this card has been cut off with a curved scallop edge die. I stamped a fab pair of boots on the bottom flap and colored them with a Studio 71 alcohol marker.

2019_03030017a

I covered the top flap with a piece of pretty dotted patterned paper and added a die cut sentiment, voila… we have a ‘gorgeous’ card!

Congratulations on your Graduation!

Hi everyone! Happy Happy – hope you’ve had a great week! It’s time for another fun challenge over at Love To Scrap Challenge Blog and I’m stoked to share my DT inspiration project for LTSCB #119 – Anything Goes! We are being sponsored this month by DRS Designs so be sure to come over and play with us for a chance to win a prize! I created a clean and simple graduation card using the awesome Culmination Graduation Greeting and I couldn’t be more pleased with how it turned out.

Leslie

I started with a bi-level card base – I cut about 3/4″ off the bottom of the front flap. I printed the greeting on white cardstock and cut it with a dotted rectangle die. I created two more rectangle die cuts and layered them all together with white foam between the layers. I added a tiny plaid bow and two clear rhinestones to finish the front.

2019_02240012a

I added a strip of plaid patterned paper across the bottom of the inside of the card base. I stamped a sentiment in black ink on a stitched die cut panel and adhered the panel to the inside.

2019_02240013a

Here’s one final shot of the completed card. I really L-O-V-E this greeting and I see more cards using it in my future, lol!

It’s beginning to look a lot like Christmas

Hello, my crafty peeps! Happy Friday and happy March 1st! Can you believe it?! A new challenge is live this morning over at Merry Little Christmas Challenge Blog and I’m excited to share my DT inspiration project for MLCCB #8 – March Anything Christmas Goes! Anybody who knows me knows that I’m a sucker for fancy folds and am always looking for new ones to try. My inspiration for this very cool hanging reverse fold origami card (also called a squash card) came from one of my YouTube subscriptions HERE. Sam is one talented lady, and I could sit for hours watching her videos!

I created this card for my sister – it’s something she’ll be able to use year after year. And it’s contained in it’s own little decorated box! She loved it and showed it off to her crafty lady friends, lol!

The paper reminds me of a flannel shirt. I paired it with green crinkled paper which looks great on the white cardstock.

Here’s the lid off the box…

… and the card out of the box. I even decorated the inside, lol!

There are quite a few stamped and die cut Christmas sentiments as well as Christmas stickers used. I don’t typically use stickers on my projects but the ones I used on this came in the Photo Play paper packs and I just couldn’t resist. They are so stinkin’ cute!

Here’s a shot of the entire card hanging on the wall. It’s about 2-1/2 feet long!

And here are shots of the different sections. This was so much fun!

And here’s a shot of the back of it when it’s all folded up, which is actually the very bottom portion. LOVE how this turned out – I’m thinking I’ll be making more of these for Christmas this year!

Products used:
Cardstock/Paper: Taylored Expressions Snow White cardstock, The Paper Cut Crinkled Paper, Photo Play Here Comes Santa paper
Stamps: Stampin’ Up Oh, What Fun and Tin of Tags stamp sets
Ink: Memento Tuxedo Black ink
Dies/Punches: Spellbinders Standard Circles, Sizzix Dotted Ovals, Rectangles and Circles, My Favorite Things Essential Fishtail Sentiment Strips and Die-namics Stitched Mini Scallop Circles STAX die
Accessories:  Photo Play Here Comes Santa and Holiday Cheer stickers

I hope you’ve enjoyed this fun hanging reverse fold origami card and will link up a Christmas project with us this month! We’d love to see what you create! Thanks so much for stopping by and we’ll see you soon! ;)
