Hey everybody! I hope you’ve had a fabulous week doing whatever it is you do… whether you work outside or at home, or whether you’re retired! Our new challenge is live this morning over at Love To Craft Challenge Blog and I’m thrilled to share my DT inspiration project for LTCCB #79 – Anything Goes! Our challenges are always anything goes and we’d love for you join us! I created a cool friendship card featuring a die set I’ve had in my stash for a minute or three and have never used and awesome stamp sets from STAMPlorations and Altenew. I sent it to a very sweet artist friend just to let her know I was thinking about her. ;)

Using the palette die in the Spellbinders Painter’s Palette die set, I cut the card base and front layer from CutCardstock Desert Storm cardstock. Using the remaining dies in the set, I cut the paint blobs, brush and paint tube from CutCardStock Pop Tone Sweet Tooth, Pop Tone Banana Split, Pop Tone Hot Fudge, Pop Tone Red Hot, Pop Tone Orange Fizz, Pop Tone Lemon Drop, Pop Tone Gumdrop Green, Pop Tone Blue Raspberry, Pop Tone Grape Jelly, Pop Tone Razzleberry, Blue Hydrangea, Royal Sundance Linen Midnight Blue, Royal Sundance Linen Burgundy, and Stardream Metallic Silver cardstock.

I stamped the front sentiment in Memento Tuxedo Black ink from the Altenew Mini Paintbox stamp set and the inside sentiment from the STAMPlorations Art Is stamp set. I totally love shaped cards and this one turned out so awesome!

2/27/24 Featured Creation at Little Red Wagon!

Hey everybody, Happy Friday! I’m delighted to bring you another Keep It Simple DT inspiration project today that I created with our new Build-A-House Collection! OMGosh, these products are phenomenal! You start with the basic Build-A-House die set and then you have the add-on Build-A-Dogouse, Build-A-Cathouse and Build-A-Birdhouse die sets with coordinating stamp sets! How fun is that?! I used the Build-A-House KIS Cuts, Build-A-Cathouse Stamps and Build-A-Cathouse KIS Cuts to create this shaped card! I can’t tell you how much fun I’ve had playing with this collection! I cut the shaped card base from Neenah Classic Crest Solar White cardstock using the Build-A-House KIS Cuts. I cut the double-decker base house pieces from papers in the Rose 12×12 Collection Pack. Using the Weathered Wood Background Stamp, I stamped a woodgrain pattern in Catherine Pooler Twilight ink on the upstairs and downstairs main pieces.

Using the Build-A-Cathouse KIS Cuts, I cut the cat from Solar White cardstock and colored the pieces with alcohol markers. Next, I cut the grass and cat bowl from papers in the Jade and Lemon 12×12 Collection Packs. Finally, I stamped the sentiment on a scrap piece of Solar White cardstock in Twilight ink and fussy cut it.

I embellished the inside panel with papers from the Rose Collection used on the front and stamped a sentiment in Twilight ink.

Hugs & Kisses tag card

Hey everybody, Happy Tuesday! I hope you’re having a great week so far and it’s not too awfully cold where you are! I’m up on the CutCardStock blog today with a tutorial for making a Valentine tag card with a shaker! I used White, Cherry Red and Dawn Maroon cardstock from the new Lessebo line along with Pop Tone Cotton Candy and Silk Glitter Opulent Opal. I haven’t made a shaker card for a minute or three so I figured I’d do it up! Shakers are always fun to make and even more fun to receive!

Using the Prickley Pear Stamps Nesting Tag Dies, I cut a top-folding tag-shaped card base and layering panel from Lessebo White along with a tag-shaped layering panel from Lessebo Cherry Red cardstock. I embellished the front layer with strips cut from Lessebo White, Lessebo Cherry Red, Lessebo Dawn Maroon, Pop Tone Cotton Candy and Silk Glitter Opulent Opal cardstock. I used the Heart Shaker Pouch Starter Kit (including the die) from This Calls For Confetti to cut the aperture into the front layer.

I stamped a sentiment from the My Favorite Things Lots of Hugs stamp set in Memento Tuxedo Black centered over the aperture. I added shaker mix consisting of Buttons Galore & More Love & Kisses Sprinkletz Embellishments, Pitter Patter Doo Dadz Embellishments, and Love Story Half Pearlz Embellishments, and adhered the layer to the card base. The finishing touch was adding several flat-back pearls from the Buttons Galore & More Love Story Half Pearlz Embellishments. I also added a tiny bow fashioned from Prairie Bird Boutique red wrinkled ribbon using a wooden bow maker my awesome friend Mo sent me for Christmas!

I cut tag-shaped layers for the inside from Lessebo White and Lessebo Cherry Red cardstock using the same Nested Tag Dies and embellished the white one with a few leftover strips from the front. I stamped another sentiment from the My Favorite Things Lots of Hugs stamp set in black ink.

Hey everybody! I hope your week is rockin’ right along and you’re getting ready for a great weekend! I’m stoked to be back with another Keep It Simple DT inspiration project created with the amazing new Sent With Love Collection! This is an amazing collection full of gorgeous papers, stamps, dies, die cut pieces, and stencils! I created a fun truck-shaped Valentine card featuring papers and die cut pieces from the collection along with our vintage truck and stitched circle dies! Using the Vintage Truck Dies, I cut the shaped card base from Neenah Classic Crest 110# Solar White cardstock and all the truck pieces and parts from coordinating papers in the Sent With Love 12×12 Collection Pack and CutCardStock Lessebo Pitch Black and Stardream Metallic Silver cardstock.

I embellished the card with a variety of die cuts from the Sent With Love Die Cut Pieces and Sent With Love Words & Phrases Die Cut Pieces, and used Clear Enamel Dots on the tail lights. I added an 80# Solar White stitched circle to the inside cut with the Stitched Circles Nested Dies and embellished with patterned paper and die cuts.

2/29/24 Design Team Favorite at A Perfect Time To Craft Open Challenge!

Hey everybody! How’s the weather where you are on this awesome first day of January?! It’s pretty darn chilly here but us ‘chill mongers’ don’t mind! Our new challenge is live this morning over at Birthstone Challenges and I’m delighted to share my DT inspiration project for BSC #7 – Anything Goes with Garnet & Amethyst + optional NEW BEGINNINGS (new job, new home, new baby, etc.) First up is some news about our challenges – we’ve been playing straight anything goes with the featured birthstone colors since we started this new challenge in January 2023, so we’re adding an optional theme to each challenge this year for a little interest. Just remember, the themes are optional and not required to play. Participants are more than welcome to continue playing ‘anything goes’ but we’d love to see some creativity with the themes!

I opted for a new baby theme and created an adorable baby card using my Cricut Explore Air 2 and the Baby Belly Card SVG cut file from My Scrap Chick. I’ve made a couple of these cards previously and I love this cut file so much that I just had to make another one!

I used a variety of cardstock from CutCardStock – Basis Natural for the baby’s body and front sentiment, Curious Metallic Violette for the diaper, Astrobrights Eclipse Black for the baby’s mouth, Basis Dark Red and Bright Silver Foil for the diaper pin, and Cougar Smooth White for the baby’s tooth. Prior to assembling the card, I inked the edges of the pieces with Ranger antique linen distress ink for some definition and then used tattered rose distress ink for the cheeks. I stamped the sentiment from the Stampin’ Up Charming Sentiments stamp set in Memento Elderberry ink and cut it with the coordinating Stampin’ Up Sentiment Silhouettes die set.

I cut the inside layer from Cougar Smooth White. The inside sentiment is also from the Stampin’ Up Charming Sentiments stamp set, stamped in Memento Elderberry ink and cut with the coordinating Stampin’ Up Sentiment Silhouettes die set. I added a heart that I die cut from Basis Dark Red (using a die in the same set).

Hey everybody! I hope you’re having a wonderful weekend! It’s time for another Splitcoast Stampers Dirty Dozen DT inspiration project! This fun coffee cup shaped friendship card features Simple Stories patterned paper with a gorgeous butterfly and die cut sentiment on a corrugated ‘cup sleeve.’ I’ve made several of these coffee cup shaped cards over the years and the design never gets old!

I cut the card base and lid elements from CutCardStock Basis 110# Natural cardstock along with layering panels from a pretty floral print in the Simple Stories Simple Vintage Cottage Fields 6×8 paper pad and kraft corrugated paper in my stash. I die cut the sentiment twice (and layered them) from CutCardStock Pop Tone Sno Cone cardstock using the Mama Elephant hello script die. The finishing touch was adding a fussy-cut butterfly (from the same Simple Stories paper pad).

I embellished the inside flap with the same Simple Stories floral print used on the front, and stamped a sentiment from the Taylored Expressions Joe To Go stamp set in Memento Rich Cocoa ink.

Summer Truck

Hey everybody! Happy Fri-YAY! I hope you’ve had an awesome week and you’re able to enjoy some this gorgeous weather! I’m excited to be back to share another ScrapbookingStore DT inspiration project created with the amazing June 2023 Scrapbook Kit with Upgrades! This adorable shaped Summer Truck card features papers and stickers from this month’s collection and is so stinkin’ cute, I can’t stand it! This die set is awesome and I couldn’t wait to use it again with the items in this amazing kit!

Using the Keep It Simple Vintage Truck die set, I cut the main pieces for the truck from three coordinating papers in the collection, along with CutCardStock Basis Black, Stardream Metallic Silver and Dolphin Gray for the ancillary pieces. I assembled the truck, popping the tail gate up on a foam strip, and added flower and sentiment stickers from the sticker sheet. The finishing touch was adding tiny iridescent clear gemstones to the center of the flowers and slightly larger red gemstones to the tail lights.

I cut the inside panel from Neenah Classic Crest Solar White cardstock using a My Favorite Things Stitched Square STAX die. I embellished the panel with a leftover strip of patterned paper from the kit and a sticker from the sticker sheet.

Hey everybody! Happy Hump Day – I hope you’re having a fabulous week! I have a Keep It Simple DT inspiration project to share with you today created with the super adorable new Party Dress Dies that were just released last month! I can’t even begin to tell you how much fun this die set is, and the possibilities are endless with the colors, prints and occasions you can use them for! I love a pink and orange color combo, so that’s the direction I went with this birthday card!

Using the Party Dress dies, I cut the card base and layers from papers in the Mango and Rose 12×12 Collection Packs. I die cut a flower element from Stampin’ Up Pumpkin Pie Glimmer Paper and added a Clementine Pearl to the center. I assembled the card and added Clementine Rhinestones at the waistline and along with the flower element. I stamped a sentiment from the Birthday sentiment stamp set in Memento Morocco ink.

I die cut the inside panel from Neenah Classic Crest 80# Solar White cardstock and adhered a strip of one additional coordinating paper from the Rose 12×12 Collection Pack across the bottom. I stamped a sentiment from the Birthday sentiment stamp set in Memento Morocco ink along with two tiny hearts from the Get Well sentiment stamp set in Memento Rose Bud ink.

Spring Fling Clutch Purse

Hey everybody! I hope you’re having a good day and you’re able to be outside enjoying some delightful weather! I’m happy to be back with another ScrapbookingStore DT inspiration project created with the amazing May 2023 Scrapbook Kit with Upgrades! I’ve always loved using chipboard accents on my projects, and the package included in the upgrades this month is pretty amazing! I’ve used two of them on the front of this cute little clutch purse!

I cut the clutch purse card base from Neenah Classic Crest 110# Solar White cardstock and covered it with a plaid print from the collection. I cut the flap closure using a My Favorite Things Stitched Mini Scallop Oval STAX and covered it with a coordinating print from the kit. I added a layered strip embellishment across the bottom and adhered the chipboard accents from the upgrades. The final step was adhering a small disc magnet with Ranger Distress Collage Medium to keep the purse closed.

I cut the inside panel from 80# Solar White cardstock and embellished it with a print from the kit. I added a sentiment sticker from the sticker sheet and layered the panel on another print from the collection.

Oh Happy Day

Hey everybody! I hope you’re having a fantastic week and enjoying some delightful weather! I’ve popped in this morning to share a ScrapbookingStore DT inspiration project with you today created with the amazing May 2023 Scrapbook Kit with Upgrades! OMGoodness, this collection is amazing with all the coordinating papers and stickers, not to mention the chipboard, ephemera, frames and tags in the upgrades! As you undoubtedly know, I’m a huge fan of shaped cards, so that’s the direction I took with this one!

I cut the shaped card base from Neenah Classic Crest 110# Solar White cardstock using the Crafter’s Companion Die’sire Ruth Create-A-Card die set. I then cut the layering panels for the front from patterned paper and a 3×4 journaling card in the collection alternating with a panel cut from 80# Solar White cardstock. I popped the focal panel up on 1″ double-sided foam strips and added Nuvo Ivory Seashell Crystal Drops to the flower centers.

I die cut the inside panels from the patterned paper in the kit that I used on the front along with 80# Solar White cardstock embellished with a floral sticker from the kit prior to cutting. I added a die cut sentiment from the upgrades which completed the card.
