‘You’re Awesome!’ Matchbook

Hey everybody! Can you believe we’re into the middle of January already?! Dang, where is the time going?! You know how much I love the Art Impressions Matchbook line, and I’ve been playing with the Office Matchbook stamps and dies and created this adorable little scene to enter in the Art Impressions current Clean Slate: #366 – Anything Goes challenge! I’m so excited to be sharing another one of these amazing little masterpieces!

Using the Art Impressions Matchbook Template die, I cut the base from a Polly’s Paper Studio double-sided paper. I’ve created quite a few Matchbooks and I’ve used Polly’s Paper Studios papers for all but one. I don’t know why, but I always reach for her papers for the bases. I stamped all the elements in the Art Impressions Office Matchbook stamp set in Memento Tuxedo Black ink on Neenah Classic Crest 80# Solar White cardstock and cut them with the coordinating Art Impressions Office Matchbook dies. I colored them with alcohol markers and then assembled the Matchbook. So stinkin’ cute!

Here are several more angled shots and one with the teeny tiny envelope. ;)

High Five! To Jesus

Hey everybody! Happy Monday – the weeks sure roll by fast these days and the weekends seem to be a blur! I’m up on the Pajama Crafter Stamps blog today with an inspiration project featuring the super adorable High Five stamp set from our new release! What makes this set so special – besides being all about cats (hehehe) – is the fact that the images with the paw up the in the air are modeled after Joy’s own cats who do that while they are watching the online Sunday services! I just love that! As you know, the front step card is one of my all-time favorite fun folds so that’s the direction I went with this colorful project!

The card base was cut from CutCardStock Cougar Smooth White cardstock along with layering panels from coordinating patterned papers in the the Keep It Simple Max & Daisy Collection Pack. I stamped the kitty and sentiment from the High Five stamp set in Memento Tuxedo Black ink on Cougar White cardstock, did some super basic coloring of the image with alcohol markers, and fussy cut them. To complete the front, I added some hearts from the Keep It Simple Max & Daisy Enamel Shapes.

I cut the back panel from Cougar White, embellished it with a leftover strip of the multicolor stripe pattern in the Max & Daisy Collection, and layered it on CutCardStock Lessebo Navy Blue cardstock. I stamped paw prints in the lower right corner but otherwise left the panel blank to write a custom message.

Hoping all your birthday fishes come true

Hey everybody! Well, another weekend has come and gone, and here we are officially in the middle of January! I’m delighted to share that one of my projects scored both Stand Out and Top 5 Creation honors over at Scrapping4fun Challenges a few weeks back, so I was invited by the lovely Rachelle to guest design in Challenge #231. The theme of this challenge is to Add Turtles or Fish, so I pulled out some Carta Bella beachy papers and stickers along with an adorable flatback resin fish from Buttons Galore & More to create this double diamond fold! I was inspired by the cards Lisa Curcio showcased on her blog using this fold and I love how mine turned out. I’m sure I’ll be making this again!

I cut the card base from CutCardStock Lessebo White and the layering panels from Lessebo Sunset Orange and Carta Bella Beach Party Collection Kit. I stamped the sentiment from the Stampin’ Up Whale Done stamp set in Memento Tuxedo Black ink on the center panel and added a couple shell stickers. Next, I added a fish from the Buttons Galore & More Aquarium Flatbackz Embellishments, and the finishing touch was adding iridescent and yellow gemstones.

Here’s an angled shot showing the construction, and the best part is this card folds flat for mailing!

Adventure Awaits

Hey everybody! Happy Hump Day – I hope you’re having a fantastic week so far! Our new challenge is live this morning over at Ally’s Angels and I’m thrilled to share my DT inspiration project for Challenge #78! I made an adorable adventure-themed slimline using papers, ephemera, stamps and enamel dots from the Keep It Simple Hello Adventure Collection! I also used the Keep It Simple Wavy Slimline Die which I absolutely love! I believe the Hello Adventure Collection is on clearance and has been deeply discounted. If you are inclined to go shopping, be sure to use my discount code LoveToScrap2 at checkout to save 10% on your entire order! There is no minimum purchase requirement and no usage limits, plus the code combines with product, order, and shipping discounts!

My 3-3/4″ x 9″ size slimline card base was cut from Neenah Classic Crest 80# Solar White cardstock along with a layering panel and a die cut panel (using the Keep It Simple Wavy Slimline Die) cut from papers in the Keep It Simple Hello Adventure Flip Sides Pack. I stamped the butterfly and frog from the Hello Adventure Find Your Wild Side stamp set, and the bunny from the Adventure Awaits stamp set. I colored them with a variety of markers, fussy cut them, and added them to the card front. I stamped the sentiment from the Adventure Awaits stamp set and added several Hello Adventure Enamel Dots in different colors.

I embellished the inside panel with a leftover piece of brown paper used on the front, added a sentiment from the ephemera sheet in the Hello Adventures Flip Sides Pack, and layered the panel on the blue paper which I also used on the front.

Winter Memories backpack mini album

Howdy peeps! I hope you’re having a great day! I’ve popped in this afternoon with my second post of the day to share a Keep It Simple inspiration project created with the new Backpack Mini Album Dies that were also released two days ago! You know how I love me some mini albums and I just had to create one with a Winter theme to document all those fun Winter activities! I’ve made several backpack mini albums over the years with old handwritten instructions, and you can’t even imagine how excited I am to have a set of dies to make them! If you like the Keep It Simple products I’ve used and are inclined to shop, be sure to use my discount code LoveToScrap2 at checkout to save 10% on your entire order! There is no minimum purchase requirement and no usage limits, plus the code combines with product, order, and shipping discounts!

I cut the album base and pages from CutCardStock Basis 80# White 12×12 cardstock and layering panels from coordinating papers in the new Penguin party 6×9 Collection Pack.

I embellished the pages with stitched ovals, circles, rectangles and squares cut with the Nested Dies along with an assortment of die cuts from the Penguins and Phrases Die Cut Pieces. There are also pull-ups and pull-outs on several of the pages. I used Lilac Ribbon for the straps and Lilac Enamel Dots for the closures (along with velcro circles). I thoroughly enjoyed putting this together and it won’t be long before I make another one! ;)

Scrappy hugs,

Sending Hugs & Kisses

Hey everybody, Happy Tuesday! It’s been snowing on and off for a couple days here and we have about a foot on the ground with lots of drifts because it has been pretty windy, too. Definitely good days to stay inside and craft! I’m thrilled to share a Keep It Simple DT inspiration project created with the new Sent With Love Collection! This collection was just released two days ago and it’s plum full of gorgeous papers, stamps, dies, die cut pieces, and stencils! There are ribbons and enamel shapes already in the store that coordinate very nicely with this collection, AND there are new shaker bits!

I created a rotating center circle fun fold featuring papers and die cut pieces from this new collection, and I totally love how it turned out! My inspiration came from Purple_Girl_Crafts on You Tube and her video for this one is HERE. So fun! If you like the Keep It Simple products I’ve used and are inclined to shop, be sure to use my discount code LoveToScrap2 at checkout to save 10% on your entire order! There is no minimum purchase requirement and no usage limits, plus the code combines with product, order, and shipping discounts!

The square card base was cut from CutCardStock Lessebo Cherry cardstock. I used coordinating papers from the 6×9 Collection Pack for the layering panels and rotating circle mechanism, and added die cuts from the Sent With Love Die Cut Pieces to the center of the circle. Since the star of the show is on the inside, I added a back panel which I embellished with a strip from another coordinating paper and a die cut sentiment.

Here’s a short video showing the card opening and closing! I’m so enamored with this fold, I can’t stand it! ;)

Warm Winter Wishes Ornament

Hey everybody! Happy Monday – the Mondays sure do seem to roll around fast these days! I’ve popped in this morning to share my first inspiration project as a Pajama Crafter Stamps DT member! Pajama Crafter Stamps is the new home of the Prickley Pear Stamps brand and the Pajama Crafter Stamps line! Joy and Shawn became the new owners of Prickley Pear Stamps a few months ago and have started the new Pajama Crafter Stamps line which fully debuts today! I’ve been on the Prickley Pear Stamps DT for almost four years and was invited to stay on as a Pajama Crafter Stamps team member, so here I am! ;)

Please join Pajama Crafter Stamps as we celebrate all things new… NEW YEAR, NEW BRAND, NEW TEAM and NEW RELEASE… in our “Everything’s New” Insta-Hop! Our design team has created some gorgeous projects with the new release products and the hop starts today on the Pajama Crafter Stamps Instagram page where you’ll find the complete hop list. By following and leaving comments or likes at all the stops on the hop, you’ll be in the running for a $25 gift card from Pajama Crafter Stamps! A random winner will be chosen from all comments and likes left by 11:59 PM EST on January 15th and announced on the Pajama Crafter Stamps Instagram and Facebook pages on January 17th.

I created an ornament featuring the adorable Sliding By stamp set from the Pajama Crafter Stamps new release! How stinkin’ cute is this penguin?! And I love using non-traditional colors for Winter-themed projects!

I’ve had the Splitcoast Stampers tutorial for the diamond shaped ornament (HERE) in my arsenal for quite some time and have never made one, so I decided it was time! I stamped the penguin on Neenah Classic Crest Solar White cardstock in Memento Tuxedo Black ink, colored it with alcohol markers, and cut it with a Keep It Simple Stitched Circles Nested Die. Similarly, I stamped the sentiment on a Solar White scrap and trimmed it into a flag. I used Keep It Simple double-sided pink paper for the ornament and Rose ribbon for the bow, along with Really Reasonable Ribbon silver metallic cord for the hanger. I embellished the ornament with individual sequin bits pulled from the Buttons Galore & More Blizzard Sequin Mix.

Scrappy hugs,

All About You

Hey everybody! A very Happy Monday to you! I’m up on the CutCardStock blog today with a tutorial for making a super easy masculine card! I found a version of this on Pinterest and it could be tailored to any occasion and made in any color combo. Masculine cards are a stash ‘must-have’ so I created this in Lessebo Sunflower Yellow, Navy Blue and White along with Bright Silver Foil. The Lessebo line has quickly won my heart and I find I’m reaching for it alot!

I cut a standard A2 size side-folding card base from Lessebo White cardstock along with wide strips from Lessebo White and Sunflower Yellow. I used Lessebo Navy Blue and Bright Silver Foil cardstock for the front layering panels, and ran the silver panel through the Big Shot in the Darice Diamond Plate Pattern embossing folder.

Using the Spellbinders Standard Circles, I cut thin rings from Sunflower Yellow and Navy Blue and adhered them beneath the horizontal strip, and then attached the strip to the front panels with two screw brads that I believe are from The Funkie Junkie Boutique. I’ve had them for a very long time and they are not in the original package so I’m guessing. Finally, I stamped the sentiment from the Prickley Pear Stamps Kokopelli-Happy Birthday stamp set in Catherine Pooler Juniper Mist ink.

I embellished the inside panel with leftover strips of Bright Silver Foil and Lessebo Sunflower Yellow, Navy Blue and White. I stamped another sentiment from the Kokopelli-Happy Birthday stamp set in blue ink and layered the panel on Navy Blue.

Scrappy hugs,

let it snow

Hey everybody! Well, another week is behind us and we’re headed into a glorious weekend! A little chilly but absolutely wonderful! I’m delighted to share a Keep It Simple DT inspiration project today created with the amazing Snow Day Collection! This collection was released back in mid October and the fun continues with the snow globe die cut into the front flap on this Winter-themed card! If you like the Keep It Simple products I’ve used and are inclined to shop, be sure to use my discount code LoveToScrap2 at checkout to save 10% on your entire order! There is no minimum purchase requirement and no usage limits, plus the code combines with product, order, and shipping discounts!

The card base was cut from Neenah Classic Crest 80# Solar white cardstock along with layering panels from coordinating papers in the 6×9 Collection Pack. The snow globe and inside scene (from the Snow Globe stamps) were stamped in Memento Tuxedo Black ink, colored with a variety of markers, and cut with the coordinating Snow Globe Outline Dies. The snowy background inside the snow globe was stamped in Catherine Pooler Tranquil ink (using the Snow Background stamp), then again in Versamark, and heat embossed with Hero Arts Clear Embossing Powder.

I die cut the snow globe shape into the front flap and then assembled it behind the patterned paper layer. I added several snowflakes stamped with the Snow Day stamps and die cut with the coordinating Snow Day Outline Dies, along with a couple clear enamel dots on the bottom strip.

I embellished the inside panel with a leftover strip of the patterned paper used on the front. The sentiment was stamped using the Snow Day Stamps and cut with the coordinating Snow Day Outline Dies, and then the panel was layered on a red paper from the 12×12 Collection Pack.
