Hey everybody, happy Wednesday – how is it that we are a week into October already?! Has it cooled off any where you are? It’s absolutely gorgeous here and definitely my favorite time of year! I’m up on the Love From Lizi blog today with a tutorial for making yet another version of the double flap fun fold. I used papers and embellishments from the October Autumn Breeze release along with some already in the store. It’s an amazing release, and even though it’s Autumn/Fall themed, I thought ‘outside the box’ and created a fun friendship card that could be used for a variety of occasions. I have to tell you that I’ve made a lot of fun folds over the years – and there have been quite a few that I said were the ‘easiest ever’ – but this one really IS the easiest ever to make!

Card base and label die cut for the second flap were cut from CutCardStock Lessebo Pitch Black cardstock, using the Stitched Label Nested Cutting Dies for the labels. I cut the patterned paper layers from coordinating prints in the A Spot of Autumn 6×6 paper pack. The sentiments and embellishments are from the A Spot of Autumn Thicker Stickers and Mini Stickers. The finishing touch on the front was adding a few gemstones from the Tropical Escapes Mixed Size Gems.

I die cut an additional label from Neenah Classic Crest 80# Solar White cardstock for the inside and added another sentiment and embellishments from the A Spot of Autumn Thicker Stickers and Mini Stickers. See how easy this was?! Check out my tutorial on the Love From Lizi blog if you’d like more detailed instructions. I’d love to know if you make one!

Hi friends! Well, another Saturday has rolled around but that’s not a bad thing, right?! I hope you’ll be doing something fun this weekend! I have an awesome CutCardStock DT inspiration project to share with you today featuring some of our Curious Metallic, Pop Tone and Basis cardstock that I paired with Royal Sundance Natural Felt cardstock. I created a pretty birthday card using these gorgeous Fall colors. I’m still on the push for Fall and some cooler weather, lol!

I cut a standard A2 size side-folding card base from Sundance Felt 110# Natural cardstock. I die cut the main focal element from Curious Metallic Gold Leaf cardstock along with strips from Pop Tone Tangy Orange, Pop Tone Hot Fudge and Basis Gold, which I adhered to the underside of the die cut. I adhered the focal element to the card base, and added several gemstones from an Eyelet Outlet 3mm orange Jewel Bling Strip, which completed the card. Doesn’t get much easier than this! ;)

I cut the inside panel from Neenah Classic Crest Baronial Ivory cardstock and embellished it with strips cut from Pop Tone Tangy Orange and Pop Tone Hot Fudge cardstock. I stamped a sentiment from the Stampin’ Up Happy & Heartfelt stamp set in Memento Rich Cocoa ink, and layered the panel on Pop Tone Hot Fudge cardstock.

Hi everyone! Well y’all, we’ve rounded the corner to another Thursday so that means we’re on the down-slide to Friday! Hope your weather is warming up just a little bit and you have something fun planned this weekend! Affiliate links are used in this post at no cost to you – I really appreciate your support! I’ve popped in today to share an awesome Tape Runner DT inspiration project! I created a cool birthday card featuring a STAMPlorations Wish Big A2 Card Front that was included a Paper Goods sampler tucked into one of my orders a while back, and of course, all panels were adhered with Retractable Tape Runner. I also used CUTplorations Circles All Over Texture Cover Plate and Skinny Sentiments (some of my all-time favorites) on this card front. I donated this card to the Bearly Arts Cards for Cubs project. :)

As mentioned above, all panels were adhered with Retractable Tape Runner. Wet glue was used only to adhere the front sentiment and the narrow strip inside. I cut a standard A2 size card base from Neenah Classic Crest Solar White 110# cardstock along with a layering panel from CutCardStock Pop-Tone Black Licorice cardstock. I trimmed the STAMPlorations Wish Big A2 Card Front and ran it through the Big Shot with the CUTplorations Circles All Over Texture Cover Plate to give it a little interest. I layered it on the black cardstock panel and adhered it to the card base. Using the CUTplorations Skinny Sentiments, I die cut the sentiment from the black cardstock and adhered it to the bottom right, completing the card front. No bling or anything else… very unusual for me, lol! ;)

I cut the inside panel from Neenah Classic Crest Solar White 80# cardstock and embellished it with a leftover strip trimmed from the Wish Big Card Front and a narrow strip of CutCardStock Pop-Tone Black Licorice cardstock. I left the inside panel blank with plenty of room to write a custom message, and layered the panel on black cardstock.

And one more peek… love how this simple card took shape! The secure assembly of all the layers with Tape Runner speaks volumes!

Hi everyone! Happy Tuesday – here’s to a wonderful week! I’m stoked to be back on the CutCardStock blog today with an awesome DT inspiration project featuring the amazing Classic Crest cardstock which is on sale this month. I love it and it’s a staple in my studio! Affiliate links are used in this post at no cost to you – I really appreciate your support! Most of my card bases are created from Neenah Classic Crest Solar White 110# cardstock – there is no better cardstock for a card base! This birthday card is clean and simple, and has a dimensional paper pieced die cut rose with a little pink and green tone on tone going on!

NOTE: The supply chain issues with the Classic Crest and Linen cardstock that I mentioned a couple weeks ago are still ongoing so I wanted to remind everyone. Some other really good options that I can personally vouch for, which I have in my stash also, are 110# Basis White, 80# Basis White, 65# Pop-Tone Sweet Tooth and Royal Sundance 80# Fiber White.

This Papertrey Ink Noted: Scalloped A2 Die Collection is an oldie and one of my favorites, and I thought it would make a really pretty and dainty birthday card in pale pink and pale green which is one of my favorite color combos. And there’s a lot to be said about the pop of black on pastels! I cut the card base from Classic Crest Solar White 110# cardstock and layered a stitched rectangle cut from Curious Metallic Aloe 111# cardstock with a stitched oval with debossed scallops cut from Curious Metallic Pink Quartz 111# cardstock. The rose (another old die in my stash) is paper pieced using the green and pink cardstock with four layered outlines cut from Curious Metallic Night 111# cardstock for some hefty dimension. I placed the rose in the upper left corner and positioned it where the pink rose was on the pink oval and the green leaves were on the green rectangle for a tone on tone effect. I cut the sentiment twice from the black cardstock and layered one on top of the other for just a little dimension. I finished the front with three small gold rim pink pearls.

I cut/embossed a pink frame with debossed scallops for the inside which I adhered to a white cardstock oval and adhered to a green rectangle. I stamped the sentiment in black ink leaving some room for a signature.

And one more look… really loving how this turned out! Love me some pink and green – and this shimmery cardstock on a Classic Crest card base is THE BEST!

Hi everyone! Happy Hump Day! I’m thrilled to be back on the CutCardStock blog today with an awesome DT inspiration project featuring beautiful Curious Metallic cardstock from my stash that happens to be on sale this month so be sure to get some! There are so many gorgeous colors! Affiliate links are used in this post at no cost to you. I really appreciate your support! I love shakers and I don’t make nearly enough of them so I created one for today’s project which is the first post of the new CutCardStock DT term. They are so much fun and every recipient I’ve ever given one to absolutely loved it!

I cut the card base from Royal Sundance Felt Natural 110# cardstock which makes an awesome sturdy card base. The front panel is cut from Royal Sundance Linen Ivory 80# cardstock. The front of the card features the Tonic Studios Small Cocktail Glass cut from Curious Metallic Chestnut 111# cardstock and the interior of the glass cut from Curious Metallic Pink Quartz 111# cardstock as well as a vertical strip adhered down the left side of the background panel. The shaker filler consists mainly of pink sequins which I thought resembled wine – I’m not a wine drinker so this is a total guess on my part! Bahahaha! There is a small pinch of white seed beads in there as well. The cocktail glass dies came in a bundle with several shaker elements so it was super easy to assemble. I also cut the sentiment from Curious Metallic Chestnut 111# cardstock and adhered it vertically down the left side on the pink quartz strip. I adhered three pink sequin ‘bubbles’ above the glass on the left side. The finishing touch was the addition of three ivory enamel dots on the pink quartz strip.

I cut the inside panel from Classic Crest Baronial Ivory 80# cardstock and embellished it with thin strips of the Curious Metallic Pink Quartz 111# cardstock, Curious Metallic Chestnut 111# cardstock and Royal Sundance Linen Ivory 80# cardstock, stamped the sentiment in pink ink and adhered the panel to the brown cardstock layer.

And one more peek… totally loving how this turned out! I can definitely see a few more of these in my future, lol!

Howdy again, peeps! I’ve popped in with my last card to share today that I created for The Outlawz Challenges. This one is for the Tuesday Color Challenge where our sponsor this month is Sherry West Art. We were shown a graphic with some gorgeous warm color swatches and a photo, and challenged to use three of the five colors on our project with a twist of adding a flower or flowers. I think I nailed this one, lol!

I used four of the colors with a cluster of three stamped and layered flowers as my focal point. I wasn’t ‘feeling’ this card in the beginning and left my studio to do some other things around the house. When I went back to it a couple hours later, I saw it in a whole different light and it flourished! Sometimes you just have to walk away and re-visit later.

2020_0514013

I used one of my all-time favorite stamp sets with coordinating dies to create the flowers. I dug into my cardstock and found four colors that pretty closely match those in the graphic, using the first three colors for the flowers and the fourth color for the background. I die cut two of the ‘celebrate’ sentiments and layered the darker one beneath the lighter one. I added some cork tape across the bottom and finished the front with Crystal Drops.

2020_0514014

I embellished the inside panel with a strip of the darkest color cardstock used for the flowers and stamped the sentiment in the same color ink, and then layered the panel on the middle color cardstock used for the flowers.

2020_0514015

One more peek… loving how this turned out despite the difficulty I had initially. It really is a simple design!

Hello, my crafty friends! I hope your week is off to a great start! This month’s Anything Goes with Dies Challenge is live over at Happy Little Stampers and I’m thrilled to share my DT inspiration project with you today! I created a somewhat CAS and very colorful birthday card featuring the Kensington Branch die from Memory Box as the focal image.

I cut the branch from white cardstock and colored the branch itself with green alcohol marker. I ran the die through the machine again with squares of pink, blue and yellow shimmer cardstock behind the butterflies, and then adhered them to the main die cut. I ran the die through the machine one final time with small squares of light blue shimmer cardstock behind the little flowers, and adhered them to the main die cut. I used matching alcohol markers to run around the edges of all the elements on the branch.

2019_08170010a

I stamped the sentiment in dark green ink in the lower right corner, adhered the embellished branch die cut to the card front, and then added tiny white flat-back pearls to the centers of the flowers.

2019_08170011a

I embellished the inside panel with strips of shimmer cardstock and stamped the sentiment.

2019_08170012a

One more look… I’m really loving how this turned out! So pretty!

Hello, my crafty friends! Can you believe we’ve busted through the first week of June?! Hope you’ve had a great week! This month’s Anything Goes with Dies Challenge is live over at Happy Little Stampers and I’m absolutely thrilled to share my DT inspiration project with you today!

I created a ‘new house’ card. I paired an awesome forest village die with a very cool stamp set and label die to complete the look. I began by creating a card base from thick white cardstock along with front and inside panels layered on green cardstock.

2019_01060007a

I’m SO smitten with this die – it cuts beautifully! It was super easy to create a gorgeous white on white card with just a pop of color. I cut a ‘stencil’ from thick cardstock, placed it on the front panel, and used it to color in the rooftops and trees. I then adhered the die cut in place so the colors showed through the appropriate areas. I stamped the sentiment in green ink and cut it with a label die, then adhered it toward the bottom with foam tape.

2019_01060008a

I kept the inside very simple with just a stamped sentiment in two colors of green ink on the layered panel.

2019_01060009a

Here’s one more look… I’m really loving how this turned out!

Hello again, crafty peeps! I’m back with my fifth and final card that I’m sharing in the Gecko Galz Tricks & Treats Blog Hop. This has been a fantastic experience and I hope you have enjoyed seeing my projects as much as I enjoyed creating them! As mentioned, all five of my cards feature images from the very awesome Retro Cuties Collage Sheet which I’m giving away on my blog, so be sure to check out all the details in my blog post HERE and join us for the hop!

2018_08050005a

This is a corner fold card – another fun fold which I dearly LOVE! This image is one of my favorites on the Retro Cuties Collage Sheet and I layered her on gold cardstock, then on red, and then again on the gold. This really makes the image pop. I layered some paper lace (hand-cut from a scrap) on red cardstock across the bottom, which I adorned with tiny dots of Crystal Drops after stamping a birthday sentiment.

2018_08050006a

I layered the inside panel on red cardstock and then again on the gold, and stamped a birthday sentiment.

2018_08050007a

And one final peek. I sure do love this fold – and I love how turned out! What a beautiful image!

Hi everyone! Happy Saturday to you all and I hope you’ll be able to get some crafting in this weekend! I’m excited to share my Love To Scrap Challenge Blog DT inspiration project for LTSCB #96 – Girlz Rule! Our amazing sponsors this month are Pickled Potpourri, Little Blue Button Stamps and Heartfelt Creations, and we hope you’ll play with us!

I chose the gorgeous ‘Life Is A Circus’ image from Little Blue Button image for my girly card. I couldn’t decide whether to concentrate on birthday, engagement, anniversary or milestone, so I left it open!

I’m in love with these papers and couldn’t wait to use them with this gorgeous image. I added some paper flowers that I inked, a lace doily and some red Glittered Gumdrops.

I also added some velvet ribbon and white metallic thread. I used TH Label Letters for the sentiment on the front. I’m really loving how this turned out!

I decorated the inside with leftover strips of paper and cardstock used on the front and then stamped the sentiment in black and red to coordinate with the overall color scheme.
