Fashion ATCs

Hey everybody! We’re mid-way through the week and I hope you’re having a good one! Our new challenge is live this morning over at Love To Scrap Challenge Blog and I’m super stoked to share my DT inspiration project for LTSCB #160 – Anything Goes! I felt the urge to create some more ATCs using the Grabie stickers in my stash, so I grabbed the Fashion ones along with an assortment of patterned papers and ephemera from the Keep It Simple Mango, Jade, Rose, Royal, Lemon and Lilac 12×12 Collection Packs. This kept me busy for a few minutes, lol! So much fun, and I love how they turned out!

I cut six artist trading card blanks from Neenah Classic Crest 110# Solar White cardstock and rounded the corners of each. I then cut background panels from patterned paper in the Keep It Simple Mango, Jade, Rose, Lilac, Royal and Lemon 12×12 Collection Packs. I gathered several coordinating pieces of ephemera from each pack which I added to the ATCs along with a Grabie Fashion sticker for each one. I finished them off with Eyelet Outlet enamel stars, arrows and/or hearts.

Hi everyone! A very Happy New Year to you! Can’t believe 2023 is here already! Let’s make it a good one! Our first challenge of the year is live over at Love To Scrap Challenge Blog and I’m thrilled to share my project for LTSCB #159 – Anything Goes! I created a nautical-themed mixed media card using Stamplistic’s Galleon rubber stamp and some paper piecing. Love how it turned out!

2020_0225006

I started by cutting a panel of Canson Cold Press Watercolor paper, taping the edges to my epicurean board, and inking the sky and sea with water and Ranger faded jeans distress ink. Once dry, I stamped the Galleon image in Memento Tuxedo Black ink and then again on a Stampin’ Up Whisper White cardstock scrap and a brown patterned paper scrap. I fussy cut the sails and flags from the white cardstock and and ran a Memento Tuxedo Black marker around the outside edges of each. Similarly, I fussy cut the ship body from the brown patterned paper and ran a Memento Rich Cocoa marker around the outside edges.

2020_0225008

I paper pieced the ship body and all the sails and flags, adding a bit of color with yellow and blue alcohol markers. I stamped the sentiment from the Inspired By Stamping Seaside Sentiments stamp set and layered the panel on Stampin’ Up Night of Navy, which completed the card front.

2020_0225009

I cut the inside panel from Stampin’ Up Whisper White and embellished it with strips cut from Stampin’ Up Night of Navy. I stamped another sentiment from the Inspired By Stamping Seaside Sentiments stamp set and layered the panel on Night of Navy cardstock.

Floral Mini Album

Hi friends! Happy Tuesday to you all! I hope you are having a great week so far! Our new challenge is live this morning over at Love To Scrap Challenge Blog and I’m super stoked to share my DT inspiration project for LTSCB #158 – Anything Goes! You know how I love me some mini albums, and I created this pretty floral one using the Sizzix Bigz Mini Album and Sizzix Mini Album Thinlits. As I always say with projects like this – the assembly is the most fun part! ;)

I die cut the album and pages from STAMPlorations Spring Florals A2 Card Fronts and Darice Dots and Stripes cardstock. Using a variety of Sizzix and CUTplorations dies, I die cut elements from Solar White cardstock, CutCardStock Stardream Metallic Amethyst cardstock, CutCardStock Basis Dark Purple cardstock and Darice Dots and Stripes cardstock to embellish the pages. Several of the pages inside have pull-up tags. I added an arrow and gemstones to the front which completed the album.

And one more overhead angled peek… I sure do love how this turned out! There is plenty of room for photos and journaling!

Scrappy hugs,

Mother’s Day Tulip

Hi friends! Happy Thursday to you all! I hope you’re having a wonderful week and your weather is starting to cool down a bit. One thing that attracted us to Colorado 5-1/2 years ago is the gorgeous weather year-round! We don’t have much humidity here, so the summers and winters are bearable – typically not too hot and not too cold – but I have to say that we felt the heat slightly more this summer. Our new challenge is live this morning over at Love To Scrap Challenge Blog and I’m super stoked to share my DT inspiration project for LTSCB #157 – Anything Goes! I’m sharing another Mother’s Day card that turned out so pretty in a nontraditional orangey-pink with black color palette. I think I’ve mention previously that if there was ever an award for ‘most Mother’s Day cards shared on a blog’, I’d probably be a recipient! I am commissioned every year to make Mother’s Day cards, so I always have an abundance to share!

I cut a standard A2 size side-folding card base from American Crafts White cardstock, along with layering panels from CutCardStock Pop-Tone Black Licorice cardstock, Stampin’ Up Sweater Weather DSP, and Crafter’s Companion Verity Rose 6×6 paper pad, which I layered together and adhered to the card base. I stamped the tulip from the Concord & 9th Painted Tulip stamp set in Memento Tuxedo Black, Morocco and Bamboo Leaves inks on a white cardstock panel, and adhered the panel to the card front. I heat embossed the front sentiment in Hero Arts white embossing powder on black cardstock, trimmed it, and adhered it to the front.

I cut the inside panel from American Crafts White cardstock and embellished it with a strip of the Verity Rose patterned paper used on the front and a narrow strip of CutCardStock Pop-Tone Black Licorice cardstock. I stamped the sentiment from the Inspired By Stamping You Are stamp set in black ink and layered the panel on black cardstock.

And one more peek… I’m very pleased with this design! This was one that I created in multiples because it was so easy. And it was well received – they were purchased rather quickly, lol!

Happy Fall Box Card

Hi friends! Can you believe it’s the middle of the year already?! The months are just flying by! Our new challenge is live this morning over at Love To Scrap Challenge Blog and I’m excited to share my DT inspiration project for LTSCB #156 – Anything Goes! Box cards are at the top of my all-time favorites and this truck box card with all the pumpkins and leaves was super fun to create… I could smell Fall while I was making this one! This Fall Truck Box Card is yet another awesome cut file from Simply Crafty SVGs! I was on a truck ‘roll’ there for a bit and I believe I’ve created nearly all the truck box cards Sandy has designed!

I cut the truck body and panels from CutCardStock Basis Dark Orange, the tires from Basis Black, the back lights from Basis Red, the sentiment from Basis Brown, and the bumper and mirrors from Stardream Metallic Silver cardstock. I cut the pumpkins and leaves from Basis Green, Basis Dark Red, Basis Gold, Basis Orange, Pop-Tone Orange Fizz and Pop-Tone Tangy Orange. I added some texture by using the Sizzix Texture Fades Harlequin embossing folder on the side and back panels, and the Darice Chevron embossing folder on the tires.

I cut the back panel from Neenah Classic Crest Solar White cardstock and stamped the Inspired By Stamping sentiment (sadly out of business) in Catherine Pooler Icing on the Cake ink.

Another angled shot and one folded flat for mailing… so loving how this turned out! I’m definitely in my element when assembling these projects – not a care in the world and no clue what’s going on around me, lol! ;)

Scrappy hugs,

Happy Father’s Day

Hi friends! I hope you’re having a great weekend and some good weather where you are! It’s absolutely gorgeous here in southwestern Colorado! Our new challenge is live this morning over at Love To Scrap Challenge Blog and I’m thrilled to share my DT inspiration project for LTSCB #155 – Anything Goes! I created a Father’s Day card featuring the C.C. Designs Large Mouth Bass rubber stamp. This stamp is one I’ve had in my stash for several years and I do believe this is the first time I’ve used it! It’s a nice large stamp that’s great for masculine cards and I love it!

I cut a standard A2 size top-folding card base from 110# Solar White cardstock along with half layering panels from two coordinating patterned papers in the Recollections Bold Basics paper pad which I adhered to the card base with a narrow strip of Stampin’ Up So Saffron cardstock adhered to the seam. I stamped the C.C. Designs Large Mouth Bass image on Solar White cardstock, colored it with alcohol markers, and cut it with a Memory Box Stitched Circle Layers die. I adhered the die cut image to the front of the card and stamped the Father’s Day sentiment from the Trinity Stamps A Sentiment For (Almost) Everything stamp set. I added two Eyelet Outlet Green Enamel dots to the upper corners along with Ranger Glossy Accents to the water droplets on the image, and set it aside to dry.

I cut the inside panel from 80# Solar White cardstock and embellished it with leftover strips of patterned paper and yellow cardstock used on the front. I stamped the sentiment from the Pretty Pink Posh Mom stamp set (yep, a feminine stamp set for this masculine card because it’s a great sentiment and it fits!) in black ink and layered the panel on yellow cardstock.

And one more look… such an awesome rubber stamp for a masculine card and I don’t know why I haven’t used it before now!

Hey everybody! I hope you’re having a great weekend and enjoying some wonderful weather! Our new challenge is live this morning over at Mix It Up Challenge Blog and I’m excited to share my DT inspiration project for MIUCB #59 – Anything Goes + optional 3-D Project! The sky is the limit for this one! Of course, the twist is never mandatory to play but we always love seeing our players inspired to play the twist! Let’s see some jewelry or a gift box, canvas, gift bag, home décor, etc. this time! I created a fun treat box with my Scan N Cut that looks like a jukebox! So stinkin’ cute I can’t even stand it!

I cut all the pieces from CutCardStock Basis Brown, Basis Teal, Basis White, Basis Black, Basis Gold, Stardream Metallic Silver, Pop-Tone Grape Jelly, Pop-Tone Razzleberry and Astrobright Re-Entry Red cardstock. I added a sentiment from Brutus Monroe Conversation Clippings Sweet Sayings which fits perfectly!

I know I’ve mentioned numerous times that the real fun is the assembly! None of the individual projects take very long to put together but I always cut multiple files in one sitting so I have lots and lots of assembly time to look forward to! ;)

Hey there, birthday girl!

Hi friends! Hope your week is off to a great start! I’ve been having a large time in my studio, as usual! Life is good! Affiliate links are used in this post at no cost to you – I really appreciate your support! Our new challenge is live this morning over at Love To Scrap Challenge Blog and I’m super stoked to share my DT inspiration project for LTSCB #154 – Anything Goes! I can’t even begin to tell you how much I enjoyed creating this card! Shoes have always been high on the list of life loves, and this card is amazing! The cut file is from The Dreaming Tree and of course I used my Scan N Cut to make it! I wonder if there’s a 12-step program for Scan N Cut addicts?!

I cut the pieces from Neenah Classic Linen 100# Solar White cardstock, CutCardStock Curious Metallic Night cardstock, CutCardStock Grape Jellybean cardstock and CutCardStock Pop-Tone Jellybean Green cardstock. The sentiment is from Taylored Expressions Simple Strips – Birthday stamp set which I stamped in Memento Tuxedo Black ink, cut with the Taylored Expressions Simple Strips – Assymetrical die set, and adhered horizontally across the front. I added Eyelet Outlet Green Jewel Bling to the flower centers to complete the card front.

I simply embellished the inside panel with Trinity Stamps Amethyst Accent Embellishment Mix (using the Trinity Pick Up Stick) so they are visible when the card is closed. I added a tiny magnet closure.

And one more peek… so loving how this turned out! I can definitely see more of these in my future! So fun!

I cut a standard A2 size side-folding card base from Neenah Classic Crest 110# Solar White cardstock along with a half layering panel from Stampin’ Up Petal Garden DSP which I adhered to the card base. I printed the digital image on Neenah Classic Linen 80# Solar White cardstock and cut it with a Memory Box Stitched Circle Layers die. I die cut a slightly larger scallop circle using a My Favorite Things Stitched Mini Scallop Circle STAX Die-namics die from Stampin’ Up Sweet Sugarplum cardstock. I stamped the sentiment from The Project Bin’s Defined stamp set in black ink and added several dots of Nuvo Gloss White Crystal Drops to finish the card front.

I cut the inside panel from Neenah Classic Crest 80# Solar White cardstock and embellished it with strips of the cardstock and patterned paper used on the front. I stamped the sentiment from the same stamp set in black ink, and layered the panel on the sugarplum cardstock.

Hi friends! Well, we’ve done it once again – we’re near the end of another year! Our new challenge is live this morning over at Love To Scrap Challenge Blog and I’m super stoked to share my DT inspiration project for LTSCB #152 – Christmas BINGO! You know me and how much I love fun folds – I made a pretty side fold Christmas card. We have a fun challenge for you this time! Using our Christmas BINGO card below, choose one letter in the word BINGO and use at least three items from that column in your project! This is not your typical BINGO card where you go up/down, left/right and diagonally – you can only up and down using the columns – so let’s have some fun!

I chose column ‘I’ on the BINGO card and used four of the five items (flower, silver, pink and gemstone) in my project.

I used the TCW mini harlequin stencil with Ranger picked raspberry distress ink and a quick spritz of Tattered Angels Iridescent Silver Glimmer Mist on the background panels cut from Papertrey Ink Hibiscus Burst cardstock which I trimmed and layered on silver foil cardstock. I used my favorite Hero Arts Paper Layering Poinsettia die set to create the poinsettia on the front from American Crafts Rouge Glitter paper and a scrap of GKD Fresh Asparagus cardstock for the leaves. I adhered the poinsettia with Ranger distress collage medium with looped silver thread beneath it and added a silver foil sentiment cut from the Tim Holtz Alterations Holiday Words die set. The finishing touch was the addition of three iridescent gemstones on the narrow panel.

I cut the inside panel from Neenah Classic Crest 80# Solar White cardstock and embellished it with strips of the pink glitter paper and silver foil cardstock along with a leftover strip of stenciled paper used on the front. I stamped the sentiment from the Prickley Pear Stamps Christmas Trees stamp set in picked raspberry distress ink and layered the panel on silver foil cardstock.

And one more peek… totally loving how this turned out! There’s nothing like a Christmas card in non-traditional colors!
