Christmas Truck Box Card

9/30/22 Top 3 Creation at Scrapping4fun Challenges

Hi everybody! I hope you’re having a great week and not working too hard! We are loving life out here in our happy place with gorgeous scenery and weather! Our new challenge launched this morning over at Merry Little Christmas Challenge Blog and I’m happy to share my DT inspiration project for MLCCB #46 – Anything Christmas Goes! I am a certified Scan N Cut fiend and can’t seem to get enough of my machine, lol! I have made SO many fun 3-D projects this year and this box card created with the Simply Crafty SVGs Christmas Presents Truck Card cut file is one of them. How stinkin’ cute is this?!

I cut all the pieces from American Crafts Crimson cardstock, Neenah Classic Crest 80# Solar White cardstock; CutCardStock Gold Glitter, Silver Glitter, Basis Brown, Basis Dark Red, Basis Black, Stardream Metallic Silver, and Royal Sundance Linen Emerald cardstock; POW Cricket Glitter cardstock, Basic Holiday 6×6 Cardstock Pad, and Christmas Holiday Print 6×6 Cardstock Pad. I stamped sentiments in black ink on the tailgate panel and back sentiment panel using the STAMPlorations Warm Hands Warm Hearts stamp set. I ran the side and tailgate panels through the Big Shot with a Sizzix Texture Fades Snowflake Pattern Embossing Folder for some fun texture. Then the major fun began… the assembly! I always love assembling 3-D projects and watching them come to life!

Here are angled and back shots.

And one more look… folded flat and ready to mail! This was a blast and could be taylored for any occasion by tweaking the elements a little bit (for example, omitting the tree and using birthday or anniversary papers for the presents)! So fun!

7/15/22 Top 5 at QKR Stampede!

Hey everybody, Happy Friday! Hope you had a terrific week! Our new challenge is live this morning over at Merry Little Christmas Challenge Blog and I’m happy to share my DT inspiration project for MLCCB #45 – Anything Christmas Goes! You know how I love me some fun folds… so I created this pretty open box card for our challenge this time using the Concord & 9th Stacks Base dies along with the Concord & 9th Home for the Holidays stamps and dies! This scene is so much fun to create – this isn’t the first time I’ve used these stamps and dies, and it surely won’t be the last!

I die cut the base from CutCardStock Basis Blue and Neenah Classic Crest Solar White cardstock, added tiny white dots using a Posca White paint pen, and assembled the base. I cut the remaining elements from Neenah Classic Crest Solar White cardstock and CutCardStock Dolphin, Bonsai, Basis Red, Curious Metallic Night, Royal Sundance Linen Emerald, Royal Sundance Linen Burgundy, Curious Metallic Aloe, Stardream Metallic Aquamarine, Curious Metallic Pink Quartz, Basis Teal, Basis Aqua, and Shadow Gray cardstock, and then assembled the houses. I added a few tiny iridescent gemstones to the background and then created the scene. The final touch was stamping the sentiment in Catherine Pooler Suede Shoes ink on the white banner, layering it on the blue banner, and adhering it to the front of the card.

Here’s an angled shot.

And one more peek… love the fact that box cards fold flat for mailing! I really love how this one turned out!

4/28/22 DT Favorite at A Perfect Time To Craft Open Challenge!

Hi friends! A big Happy Tuesday to you! I hope you had an awesome weekend and your week has started off nicely! Affiliate links are used in this post at no cost to you – I really appreciate your support! Our new challenge is live this morning over at Merry Little Christmas Challenge Blog and I’m excited to share my DT inspiration project for MLCCB #43 – Anything Christmas Goes! I’m sure you all remember that Ed and I rescue cats and kittens and our current count is 18 – 11 inside and 7 outside. That said, we haven’t put up a regular Christmas tree in a few years, and we have a small one I made with my Scan N Cut that we put up high and out of reach along with a few other decorations!

I cut all the pieces from CutCardStock Pop-Tone Jellybean Green, Pop-Tone Gumdrop Green and Stardream Metallic Antique Gold cardstock. Using a fan brush, I splattered the green pieces with white acrylic paint mixed with a tiny bit of water spritzed from my Tim Holtz Distress Sprayer to resemble snow.

I assembled the Christmas tree, and added an Eyelet Outlet Gold Glitter Enamel Dot to the star on the top. I then added Eyelet Outlet Green, Orange, Pink, Blue and Purple Pearl Bling to the tree along with a red bow.

And one more peek… so loving how this turned out! Definitely a fun little decoration to add a bit of festive cheer to our living room even with 11 feline kids running about! ;)

Merry Christmas slimline

Hi everybody! Happy Saturday and Happy New Year! Today is the 1st day of the month which is always a busy blog day! Affiliate links are used in this post at no cost to you – I really appreciate your support! Our first challenge of the new year launched this morning over at Merry Little Christmas Challenge Blog and I’m thrilled to share my DT inspiration project for MLCCB #42 – Anything Christmas Goes! Our challenges are always Anything Christmas Goes, and I created a pretty slimline in my favorite color of green using stamps from Prickley Pear Stamps and an assortment of dies!

I cut my go-to size of 9″ x 3-3/4″ slimline card base from Neenah Classic Crest 110# Solar White cardstock, along with a layering panel from a green plaid pattern from the Christmas Print 6×6 Cardstock Pad. Using the My Favorite Things Die-namics Stitched Square STAX, I die cut three squares from CutCardStock Bonsai Green cardstock. I also cut three scalloped squares from CutCardStock Granny Smith cardstock using the My Favorite Things Die-namics Stitched Mini Scallop Square STAX and an embellishing strip punched from black glitter paper using a scalloped edge punch. I stamped images from the Prickley Pear Stamps Christmas Holiday Gift Tags stamp set, colored them with alcohol markers and fussy cut them. I layered the die cut squares together, adhered the stamped and colored images, and adhered them to the card front. I added the black glitter paper scalloped border across the bottom, and the final touch was adding small black gemstones to the squares (which turned into diamond shapes, lol).

I cut the inside panel from Neenah Classic Crest 80# Solar White cardstock and embellished it with a leftover plaid pattern strip used on the front, a strip of CutCardStock Bonsai Green cardstock and a strip of black glitter paper. I stamped the sentiment from the same Prickley Pear Stamps Christmas Holiday Gift Tags stamp set in black ink and layered the panel on the green cardstock. I had one extra stamped, colored and fussy-cut image which I adhered to the inside.

And one more peek… so loving how this turned out! This stamp set is so versatile and fun to use!

Hi everyone! Brrrrr… it’s nice and chilly here and that’s just the way we like it! Still shaking my head at how fast this year has flown by! The jolly guy in the red suit will be here in a few short weeks! Affiliate links are used in this post at no cost to you. I really appreciate your support! Our new challenge has launched over at Merry Little Christmas Challenge Blog and I’m thrilled to share my DT inspiration project for MLCCB #41 – December Anything Christmas Goes! I created a pretty woodlands scene with debossed trees – this is the first time I’ve tried this technique and I love how easy it is! Not sure why I haven’t tried it before now, lol!

I created a top folding square card base from CutCardStock Royal Sundance Felt Natural cardstock and a panel for the front from CutCardStock Neenah Classic Crest 80# Baronial Ivory cardstock. I inked the raised side of the Stampin’ Up Woodland Textured Impressions embossing folder with Memento Espresso Truffle ink, placed the cardstock panel in the folder and ran it through the Gemini Junior. The debossed side is the back side that looks so cool, so I layered the panel on Papertrey Ink Dark Chocolate cardstock and adhered it to the card base. I die cut the deer from Papertrey Ink Dark Chocolate cardstock as well and added them to the card front. Love how the buck is watching and protecting the doe and their baby! ;) I punched a 1/2″ circle from the light yellow cardstock and adhered it in the sky, thinking it could be an early morning sun. I stamped, trimmed and layered the sentiment on a scrap of the brown cardstock, and adhered it in the top left corner. Finally, using the Prickley Pear Stamps Bird Cage stamp set I stamped the little bird on CutCardStock Red Wagon cardstock, cut it with the coordinating Bird Cage die, and adhered it to a tree branch.

I cut the inside panel from CutCardStock Neenah Classic Crest 80# Baronial Ivory cardstock and embellished it with a strip of Papertrey Ink Dark Chocolate cardstock, stamped the sentiment in brown ink and layered the panel on the brown cardstock.

And one more peek… I’m going to have to do the debossed technique more often! Love how this turned out!

Merry Christmas Camper

11/30/21 November Rising Star at A Place To Start!
8/17/22 CAS Weekly Favorite at Splitcoast Stampers!

Hi everyone! It’s Monday already and I hope you had a fabulous weekend! Affiliate links are used in this post at no cost to you. I really appreciate your support! Our new challenge is live over at Merry Little Christmas Challenge Blog and I’m excited to share my DT inspiration project for MLCCB #40 – November Anything Christmas Goes! I created another clean and simple card and this one is near and dear to my heart – hubby and I were full-time RVers for nearly four years and just sold our fifth wheel last year. We sure had some good times and met some awesome people! This was a super fun project created with Prickley Pear Stamps Ham Camper Winter stamp set and Prickley Pear Stamps Ham Camper stamp set along with the coordinating Ham Camper die set!

I created a standard A2 size top-folding card base from Neenah Classic Crest 110# Solar White cardstock along with a slightly smaller layering panel. Using the Prickley Pear Stamps Ham Camper Winter stamp set and Prickley Pear Stamps Ham Camper stamp set, I stamped the camper and elements on a scrap of Neenah Classic Crest 80# Solar White cardstock, colored them with alcohol markers and then cut them with the Ham Camper die set, and then adhered the awning and door to the camper. I applied a strip of Eyelet Outlet Grass Washi Tape across the bottom of the front panel and adhered the camper. I adhered the panel to the card base, stamped the sentiment above the camper, and added three red gold rim flat-back pearls.

I cut the inside panel from Neenah Classic Crest 80# Solar White cardstock and kept it fairly CAS as well – embellished it with a narrow strip of red cardstock, stamped the sentiment and candy cane, and layered the panel on red cardstock.

And one more peek… what a fun card for that RVer on your Christmas card list!

season’s greetings

Happy Friday, friends! I hope you have a great day and a great weekend with something fun planned! Our new challenge is live over at Merry Little Christmas Challenge Blog and I’m super excited to share my DT inspiration project for MLCCB #39 – October Anything Christmas Goes! I created a pair of adorable cards that are almost identical – the only difference is what’s on top of the little car! I just had to use both of those elements! Some more older Lawn Fawn stamps and dies that I absolutely love!

I created two standard A2 size top-fold card bases from Neenah Classic Crest 110# Solar White cardstock and rounded the lower right corner on each. I stamped the car twice and both of the elements on a scrap of Neenah Classic Crest Solar White cardstock, colored them with alcohol markers and cut them with the coordinating dies. I created the background on each card base with a strip of Eyelet Outlet Road Washi Tape and a Memory Box Cityscape cut from CutCardStock Dolphin cardstock. I stamped the exhaust hearts on the washi tape in Jet Black StazOn, adhered the elements to the top of each car, and adhered the cars to the road on dimensionals. I stamped the sentiment beneath the road and added a single iridescent gemstone on each.

I stamped the sentiment in black ink and added a narrow red cardstock strip down the left side for a little interest. The inside is the same on both cards, and I used the Stampingbella gnome sentiments stamp set again… funny how the gnome sentiments are coming in so handy for non-gnome cards, lol!

And one more peek at the pair… totally loving how these turned out! They are so stinkin’ cute I can’t stand it!

Products used:
Cardstock/Paper: Neenah Classic Crest Solar White cardstock, CutCardStock Dolphin cardstock, red cardstock scrap
Stamps: Lawn Fawn Home for the Holidays stamp set, Stampingbella Festive Gnome Sentiments stamp set
Ink: Memento Tuxedo Black ink, Ranger distress ink- black soot and peeled paint; Nuvo alcohol markers- Aquamarine Collection, Rich Reds Collection, Sunshine Yellow Collection, Marina Blues Collection, Palma Violets Collection, Natural Browns Collection, Stormy Greys Collection; Pentel Slicci Silver pen, StazOn Jet Black ink

Meowy Christmas slimline

Howdy, everybody! I’m having the hardest time wrapping my head around the fact that we’re three-quarters of the way through 2021 already! Affiliate links are used in this post at no cost to you. I really appreciate your support! Our newest challenge is live over at Merry Little Christmas Challenge Blog and I’m stoked to share my DT inspiration project for MLCCB #38 – September Anything Christmas Goes! I used the Prickley Pear Stamps Build A Cat 2 clear stamp set and coordinating Build A Cat die set to create an adorable CAS Christmas card featuring a festive kitty and several flat-back Christmas bulbs on gold cord.

I’ve had these bulbs in my Christmas craft stash for years and when I came across them while digging, I decided I needed to use them! NBUS (never before used schtuff) for sure, lol! I created a 9″ x 3-3/4″ slimline card base along with a white panel for the front from Neenah Classic Crest 110# Solar White cardstock which I embellished with a strip of Canvas Corp red and white striped paper and layered on American Crafts Crimson cardstock. I stamped the sentiment on the panel and the cat on a scrap of Neenah Classic Crest 80# Solar White cardstock. I colored the cat and tail with alcohol markers, cut them with the coordinating dies and adhered them together. I adhered the cat to the panel, then the bulbs and gold cord to complete the card front.

I cut the inside panel from Neenah Classic Crest 80# Solar White cardstock, embellished it with a strip of the red and white paper and a red glitter die cut sentiment, and layered the panel on red cardstock.

And one more peek… this was such a fun card to create! So happy I ‘found’ the Christmas bulbs in the Christmas craft stash!

Products used:
Cardstock/Paper: Neenah Classic Crest 110# and 80# Solar White cardstock, American Crafts Crimson cardstock, The Paper Studio Four Seasons and Everything In Between -2- paper pad, Stampin’ Up Red Glimmer paper
Stamps: Prickley Pear Stamps Build A Cat 2 clear stamp set
Ink: Memento Tuxedo Black ink; Nuvo alcohol markers- Aquamarine Collection, Rich Reds Collection, Fragrant Oranges Collection, Woodland Greens Collection, Indigo Ink Collection, Royal Purples Collection, Flamingo Pinks Collection, Natural Browns Collection; Pentel Slicci Gold pen, POSCA white paint marker
Dies/Punches: Prickley Pear Stamps Build A Cat die set, Tim Holtz Holiday Words: Script die
Accessories: Tonic Studios 12″ Guillotine Paper Trimmer, Tombow Mono permanent adhesive, Bearly Art precision craft glue, Darice mini flat-back Christmas bulbs

Hi everyone! Top of the morning to you! I hope you are having an absolutely wonderful weekend! Affiliate links are used in this post at no cost to you. I really appreciate your support! It’s time for another fun challenge over at Merry Little Christmas Challenge Blog and I’m thrilled to share my DT inspiration project for MLCCB #37 – August Anything Christmas Goes! I created a clean and simple card featuring three of the most adorable little birds ever – and they are singing Christmas carols! These are older Lawn Fawn stamps and dies, and I just love them!

I created a standard A2 size top-fold card base from Neenah Classic Crest 110# Solar White cardstock and rounded the lower right corner. I stamped the birds, leaves and musical notes in black ink on a scrap of Neenah Classic Crest Solar White cardstock and colored them with alcohol markers, stamped the branch in brown ink, and cut them all with the coordinating dies. I adhered the branch and musical notes directly to the card base and popped the birds up on small dimensionals. I stamped the sentiment in black ink just beneath the branch and added a single iridescent gemstone for a little interest.

I stamped the inside sentiment (from a Stampingbella gnome sentiments stamp set of all things, lol!) in black ink and added a strip of light teal cardstock down the left side for a little interest.

And one more look… I’m so smitten with these little birds I can’t stand it! And I’m loving CAS more and more every day!

Merry Christmas slimline

Howdy, friends! I hope you’re having a fantastic week! It’s time for another fun challenge over at Merry Little Christmas Challenge Blog and I’m thrilled to share my DT inspiration project for MLCCB #36 – July Anything Christmas Goes! Affiliate links are used in this post at no cost to you. I really appreciate your support! I created a fun slimline featuring a line of trees and lots of shimmery and shiny gold bling! Who doesn’t love bling at Christmastime?!

I cut a landscape top-folding slimline card base measuring 9″ x 3-3/4″ from Neenah Classic Crest 110# Solar White cardstock along with a light teal gingham paper layer and a teal cardstock layer which I adhered together. I adhered a gold glitter filmstrip frame die cut across the bottom with a flagged red cardstock strip layered behind it. I dug into my scrap bin and found some light, medium and dark teal cardstock scraps, punched ten trees and layered them in sets of two. I added gold glitter alpha stickers and holiday light brads, and popped them up on foam dimensionals. I stamped ‘Christmas’ in teal ink on a white cardstock scrap, trimmed it and flagged one end, then adhered it in the bottom right corner.

I cut the inside panel from Neenah Classic Crest Solar White cardstock and embellished it with strips of the light teal gingham, red cardstock and gold glitter paper. I stamped the sentiment in teal ink and layered the panel on teal cardstock.

And one more look… totally smitten with this blinged-out card! And teal and red is one of my favorite color combinations!

Products used:
Cardstock/Paper: Neenah Classic Crest Solar White cardstock, GKD Ocean Mist cardstock, Colorbok red cardstock, Stampin’ Up gold Glimmer paper; red and light/medium/dark teal cardstock scraps; The Paper Studio Four Seasons and Everything In Between -2- paper pad
Stamps: The Project Bin Merriest Christmas stamp set
Ink: Stampin’ Up Lost Lagoon ink
Dies/Punches: Tim Holtz Alterations Filmstrip Frame Sizzlit, Stampin’ Up Tree Punch, EK Success 3/4″ square punch
Accessories: Tonic Studios 12″ Guillotine Paper Trimmer, Bearly Art precision craft glue, Tombow Mono permanent adhesive, Eyelet Outlet Holiday Light Brads, Darice gold Glitter Alpha Stickers
