Clean and Simple Hello

Hi everyone! Okay, we’ve zoomed through another month and I’ll say it again… where is the time going?! I’ve popped in this morning to share an awesome Tape Runner DT inspiration project! This pretty clean and simple mini slimline card features acrylic block stamping along with the Kat Scrappiness Mini Slimline Scalloped Edge dies, and of course, all panels were adhered with Tape Runner. I know I’ve mentioned (several times, lol) that I’m thrilled to have found mini slimline dies for my go-to size of 3-1/2″ x 6″ mini slim cards! Kat Scrappiness also carries pre-made envelopes (AND envelope dies!) for this size card which makes me really happy! This is the legal size to mail through the post office and the only size mini slim that I make. ;)

As mentioned above, all panels were adhered with Tape Runner. Wet glue was used only to adhere the pearls. I cut a top-folding mini slimline card base from two panels of 110# Solar White cardstock. Next, I die cut a scalloped panel from CutCardStock Stardream Metallic Azalea cardstock (using a Kat Scrappiness Mini Slimline Scalloped Edge die) and a layering panel from CutCardStock Stardream Metallic Eris cardstock. I inked a 2″ square acrylic block with Catherine Pooler It’s A Girl ink, spritzed it with my Tim Holtz distress sprayer and stamped it onto the Eris cardstock panel. Once dry, I stamped the bouquets and sentiment from the Scrapbook.com Friendly Bouquets stamp set in Memento Tuxedo Black ink and colored the flowers with a pink acrylic paint pen. The finishing touch was adding several gemstones from the Trinity Stamps Morganite Muse Embellishment Mix with my Trinity Pick Up Stick.

For the inside, I die cut another scalloped panel from CutCardStock Stardream Metallic Azalea cardstock using a Kat Scrappiness Mini Slimline Scalloped Edge die along with a layering panel from 80# Solar White cardstock, and adhered them together. I stamped the sentiment from the same stamp set in black ink and adhered the panel to the inside of the card base.

And one more look… totally loving how this card turned out! I love the simplicity of stamping with an acrylic block, and of course, the confidence that everything will hold together beautifully with Tape Runner! ;)

Thinking of You

Hey everybody! Well, another weekend has come and gone, and here we are on Monday! I hope you have a great week coming up! I have a pretty Tape Runner DT inspiration project to share with you today featuring die cut shapes from Spellbinders. And of course, all panels were adhered with Retractable Tape Runner. I made this card for someone very dear to me who was going through a rough time. I thought the gold accents were so pretty and cheerful.

As mentioned above, all panels were adhered with Retractable Tape Runner. Wet glue was used only to adhere the doily and pearls, and the two elements with the gold accents were popped up on foam squares. I cut a standard A2 size side-folding card base from 110# Solar White cardstock along with layering panels from Basis Blue, Bright Gold Foil and 80# Solar White cardstock. Using the Prickley Pear Stamps Chicken Wire Background stamp and Catherine Pooler Tranquil, Stone Blue and Cove Blue inks, I stamped the background, cut it with the My Favorite Things Stitched Rectangle STAX Die-namics, and layered the panels together. I cut a doily from 80# Solar White cardstock using the Spellbinders Medallion Four die and adhered it to the card front along with several small die cut hearts. I adhered the flowers and sentiment with Scrapbook Adhesives 3-D Foam Squares, and added several white pearls which completed the card front.

I cut the inside panel from 80# Solar White cardstock and embellished it with leftover strips from the background and gold foil used on the front. I added a die cut sentiment and layered the panel on Basis Blue cardstock.

And one more peek… such a pretty card and I’m loving all the layers and touches of gold! And it’s great to have Tape Runner to hold it all together! ;)

Coffee Time Holiday Card

Hi everyone! Hope you had a great weekend and your week has started off nicely! I’ve popped in today to share an awesome Tape Runner DT inspiration project! I created a clean and simple almost one layer caffeinated Christmas card featuring Waffle Flower stamps and dies and a strip of washi tape. And, of course, all elements were adhered with Retractable Tape Runner! I paper pieced the coffee cup with green glitter and patterned paper. This was such a simple card to create and would be a fun one to mass produce for those on your Christmas card list!

As mentioned above, all elements were adhered with Retractable Tape Runner (even a line of adhesive under the washi tape). I cut a standard A2 size top folding card base from 110# Solar White cardstock, rounded the bottom right corner, and applied a strip of Eyelet Outlet Fun Pattern Washi Tape toward the bottom. I stamped the coffee cup on a scrap piece of Solar White cardstock using the Waffle Flower Coffee Time stamp set and cut it with the coordinating Waffle Flower Coffee Time die set. I stamped the cup again on green glitter paper and on green plaid paper, then fussy cut and paper pieced the cup and sleeve which I adhered to the bottom right of the card front. I stamped the sentiment from the same stamp set in Memento Bamboo Leaves ink and added several red gemstones from Eyelet Outlet.

The inside was equally as easy as the front. ;) I applied a strip of the same washi tape used on the front (with a line of Tape Runner adhesive under it) and stamped a sentiment from The Project Bin Merriest Christmas stamp set in green ink.

And one more look… super happy with this CAS caffeinated Christmas card! Say that fast three times, lol!

Scrappy hugs,

Happy Birthday to you

Hi everyone! Can’t you believe it’s the last flippin’ day of June already?! The year is half over and it’ll be Christmas before we know it! :D I have a super adorable Tape Runner DT inspiration project to share with you today…. a clean and simple child birthday card featuring the Lawn Fawn Duh-Nuh stamps and dies, and of course, all panels were adhered with Retractable Tape Runner. I donated this one to Cards for Cubs. ;)

As mentioned above, all panels were adhered with Retractable Tape Runner. Wet glue was used only to adhere small elements. I cut a standard A2 size top-folding card base from CutCardStock Basis 110# White cardstock along with a layering panel from The Paper Cut blue crinkle paper. I used the My Favorite Things Slimline Ocean Motion die to cut the top off the blue crinkle paper layer and adhered it to the card base. I stamped the shark, bubbles and small fish from the Lawn Fawn Duh-Nuh stamp set in Catherine Pooler Jack Black ink, colored them with alcohol markers, and cut them with the coordinating Lawn Fawn Duh-Nuh dies. I stamped a sentiment from the Lawn Fawn Tiny Tag Sayings: Birthday stamp set in black ink in the bottom right corner, and then adhered the die cut elements.

I cut the inside panel from CutCardStock Basis 80# White cardstock and embellished it with a narrow strip of CutCardStock Basis Medium Blue cardstock and a shark fin stamped from the Lawn Fawn Duh-Nuh stamp set which I colored with alcohol markers and cut with the coordinating Lawn Fawn Duh-Nuh die. I stamped the sentiment from the same stamp set in Catherine Pooler Black Jack ink and layered the panel on medium blue cardstock.

And one more look… such an adorable card created from a super simple design! And like I always say, it definitely helps to have great adhesive to hold everything together!

Scrappy hugs,

Birthday Fishes ATC

Hey everybody, Happy Tuesday! I hope you’re having a great week so far! I’ve popped in this morning to share an awesome Tape Runner DT inspiration project! I created an artist trading card featuring a phantom stamped background along with a super adorable Cottage Cutz die set, and of course, all elements (except the pearls) were adhered with Retractable Tape Runner. You know how I love ATCs, and this one was definitely a fun one!

As mentioned above, all elements on this ATC were adhered with Retractable Tape Runner. Wet glue was used only to adhere the pearls. I cut two 2-1/2″ x 3-1/2″ ATC bases, trimmed just a tiny bit off one of them, and rounded the corners on both. I colored the trimmed panel with an orange alcohol marker. When it was dry, I stamped the birthday fishes sentiment from the Stampin’ Up Whale Done stamp set in a vertical orientation in Memento Tuxedo Black ink. Next, I stamped the RiverCity Rubber Works Birthday Background in Versamark and heat embossed it with Hero Arts Clear Embossing Powder.

I adhered the trimmed, stamped and embossed ATC panel onto the remaining ATC base. Using the Cottage Cutz Goldfish & Bowl die set, I die cut all the elements from 110# Solar White cardstock. I colored them with alcohol markers and adhered them to the ATC. The finishing touch was adding Eyelet Outlet white pearl bling across the top of the fishbowl.

And one more peek… how stinkin’ cute is this ATC?! I absolutely LOVE this die set and it’s so awesome to have good strong Tape Runner adhesive to hold it all together!

Scrappy hugs,

Happy Father’s Day

Hi everyone! Is it getting warm where you are? I’ve been seeing posts on Facebook from friends saying they are melting, lol! We reached 98 degrees out here yesterday, which is pretty warm but not horrible, because we don’t have a lot of humidity. So we survived pretty well, thankfully with A/C. I’ve popped in this morning to share an awesome Tape Runner DT inspiration project! I created another Father’s Day card, and of course, all panels were adhered with Tape Runner. This one has a little kraft cardstock tone-on-tone going on which I paired with red cardstock and blue ink for a nice masculine look.

As mentioned above, all panels were adhered with Tape Runner. Spray adhesive was used for the intricate die cut, and wet glue was used to adhere the gemstones. I cut a standard A2 size top-folding card base from CutCardStock Twine cardstock. Next, I cut a layering panel from the Twine cardstock along with a slightly larger layering panel from CutCardStock Basis Red cardstock which I adhered together and then to the card base. Using the Tutti Designs Twisted Rope Background Die, I die cut the rope from the Twine cardstock as well, and adhered it to the card front. I stamped an Inspired by Stamping nautical tag and sentiment on the Twine cardstock in Catherine Pooler Suede Shoes and Rockin’ Red inks, and cut it with the coordinating die from the Inspired by Stamping Fancy Label Dies 2 set. The finishing touch was adding several Studio Katia Sparkling Crystals.

I cut the inside panel from CutCardStock Twine cardstock, stamped a sentiment from the Hero Arts Special Thank You stamp set in Catherine Pooler Suede Shoes ink, and layered the panel on CutCardStock Basis Red cardstock.

And one more look… really happy with how this tone-on-tone design turned out, and I’m always happy with how well the panels adhere with Tape Runner!

6/4/22 Winner at Make the Cards Challenge!

Hey everybody! A big Happy Monday to you all – I hope your week has started off nicely! If you’re in the States, then that means you’re having a Memorial Day holiday today, so please take a moment to remember and honor those who sacrificed their lives for our freedom. I’ve popped in this morning to share another awesome Tape Runner DT inspiration project. I created a Father’s Day card, and of course, all panels were adhered with Retractable Tape Runner. This super cute stamp and die bundle from Stampin’ Up makes the perfect Father’s Day cards! And this one is almost a one-layer card, lol!

As mentioned above, all panels were adhered with Retractable Tape Runner. Wet glue was used only to adhere the tiny star sequins. I cut a standard A2 size top-folding card base from CutCardStock Basis 110# White cardstock and a narrow panel from a striped patterned paper in the Crafter’s Companion Just for Men Brights Collection 6×6 paper pad which I adhered to the bottom of the card front. I stamped the hat from the Stampin’ Up Hats Off stamp set in Memento Tuxedo Black on a coordinating paper from the Just for Men paper pad, die cut it with the coordinating die from the Stampin’ Up Hat Builder die set, and layered it on two additional hats die cut from CutCardStock Basis 80# White cardstock for a little dimension. Using the same Stampin’ Up stamps and dies, I stamped and die cut the patch for the front of the hat from CutCardStock Basis Gold cardstock and adhered it to the hat. I stamped the sentiment and added several silver star sequins which completed the card front.

I cut a striped patterned paper strip from the Just for Men paper pad and stamped the sentiment from the Inspired by Stamping Masculine Tags stamp set in Memento Tuxedo Black ink which completed the card.

And one more peek… can’t believe how simple this card was to create, and I love that I can count on everything adhering well with Tape Runner!

Scrappy hugs,

Strong Women Make Waves

Hi everyone! I hope you’re having a great week and looking forward to the weekend that’s rapidly approaching! I’ve popped in this morning to share an awesome Tape Runner DT inspiration project! I created a fun friendship card featuring some sassy mermaids, and of course, all panels were adhered with Retractable Tape Runner! The mermaid stamps and dies have been in my stash for a bit just begging to be used, and I had a good play with a stencil and translucent embossing paste along with some mists and gorgeous foils – this was totally fun putting together!

As mentioned above, all panels were adhered with Retractable Tape Runner. Wet glue was used only to adhere the gemstones. I cut a standard A2 size card base from CutCardStock Stardream Metallic Lagoon cardstock along with layering panels from CutCardStock Basis Teal and Neenah Classic Crest 80# Solar White cardstock which I adhered together and then to the card base. I used DreamWeaver Translucent Embossing Paste and the Taylored Expressions Splash Stencil to create the background on a piece of Strathmore Cotton Watercolor cardstock and allowed it to dry. Next I sprayed Tattered Angels It’s Blue Glimmer Mist and Shade Simply Sheer Mist which gave the background some ‘sea’ color while keeping the splashes white, and then adhered it to the card base once dry.

I then created three mermaid tails using the Taylored Expressions Be A Mermaid detailed die along with DecoFoil Peel-N-Stick Toner Sheet and DecoFoil Glass Slipper, Rainglow and Purple Foil Transfer Sheets which I adhered to solid mermaid tails cut from CutCardStock Bright Gold and Bright Silver cardstock and then adhered to the card front. I stamped the sentiment in Catherine Pooler Bay Breeze ink on Solar White cardstock, trimmed it, and adhered it to the bottom of the card front. The finishing touch was adding several Taylored Expressions White Rhinestones.

I cut the inside panel from 80# Solar White cardstock and embellished it with a leftover strip trimmed from the background on the front and a narrow strip of teal cardstock. I stamped the sentiment from the Trinity Stamps A Sentiment For Almost Everything stamp set in teal ink on a scrap piece of Solar White cardstock, trimmed it and adhered it to the panel, then layered the panel on teal cardstock.

And one more peek… I really love how this one turned out! And it’s always great to have awesome adhesive to hold it all together!

Scrappy hugs,

To A Wonderful Mom

Hi everyone! Happy Thursday! I hope you’ve been having some fun this week and not working too hard! I’ve popped in this morning to share an awesome Tape Runner DT inspiration project! I’ve been making a few commissioned Mother’s Day cards, and this one is earmarked for my daughter-in-law so I hope she doesn’t see this post before the card arrives… it’ll be close so fingers crossed! Of course, all panels were adhered with Retractable Tape Runner. This card turned out so pretty with all the gold embossing which really pops on the glossy black cardstock.

As mentioned above, all panels were adhered with Tape Runner. I cut a standard A2 size top-folding card base from 110# Solar White cardstock along with a roughly two-thirds size panels from glossy black cardstock and gold metallic foil cardstock. I stamped the Brutus Monroe Botanical background stamp onto the glossy black cardstock in Versamark and heat embossed it with Ranger gold embossing powder. I adhered the panel to the gold metallic foil panel and then to the card base. I stamped the sentiment from the Prickley Pear Stamps Spring Scalloped Circles stamp set in Memento Tuxedo Black ink, trimmed it and adhered it to the card base on 1-mm thick foam squares. The finishing touch was adding several Taylored Expressions Gold Drip Drops.

I cut the inside panel from 80# Solar White cardstock and embellished it with a strip of gold metallic foil cardstock. I stamped the sentiment from the same stamp set in black ink and layered the panel on glossy black cardstock.

And one more peek… really loving how this turned out and Tape Runner is definitely my favorite adhesive for getting panels to stick nicely. And I can’t believe the gold metallic foil actually looks gold and not black in these photos! Win-Win!

Happy Mother’s Day Inked Pink

5/6/22 Top 3 Winner at Alphabet Challenge Blog!

Hi everyone! I hope you’re having a terrific Tuesday! Sure is hard to believe that another weekend has passed by and we’re on the downhill slide to the end of April! I’ve popped in this morning to share an awesome Tape Runner DT inspiration project! I’ve gotten a bit of a head-start on this year’s commissioned Mother’s Day cards and this one features an inked background panel with a gorgeous Pinkfresh Studio Hydrangea and Rose floral cluster! And, of course, all panels were adhered with Tape Runner… my favorite adhesive!

As mentioned above, all panels were adhered with Tape Runner. Wet glue was used only for adhering the gemstones, and double-sided adhesive foam circles were used to pop up the focal image. I cut a standard A2 size top-folding card base from 110# Solar White cardstock along with layering panels from Strathmore watercolor paper and 80# Solar White cardstock, and rounded the bottom right corner of each.

I employed the smooshing technique with Ranger Kitsch Flamingo distress ink and water spritzed from my Ranger Distress Sprayer, using my Milwaukee heat tool to dry the panel between smooshes, and then adhered the panel to the card base. I cut narrow strips from Royal Sundance Linen Emerald cardstock and Tattered Angels White Corrugated Paper, layered them together, and adhered them to the card front. I stamped the sentiment from the Hero Arts Year Round Messages stamp set in Memento Northern Pine ink in the bottom right corner. I applied the Pinkfresh Studio Hydrangea and Rose Washi Tape to 110# Solar White cardstock, cut the flowers with the Pinkfresh Studio Hydrangea and Rose die, and adhered the largest floral cluster to the card front. The finishing touch was adding several Taylored Expressions Gold Drip Drops.

I cut the inside panel from 80# Solar White cardstock and embellished it with a leftover strip of the inked background trimmed from the front panel and a narrow strip of Royal Sundance Linen Emerald cardstock. I stamped the sentiment from the Concord and 9th Painted Tulip stamp set in green ink, adhered a Pinkfresh Studio die cut floral in the lower left corner, and layered the panel on green linen cardstock.

And one more peek… totally loving how this turned out! These Pinkfresh Studio florals make the most gorgeous cards, and it always helps to have amazing adhesive to hold everything together!
