Congratulations!

Hello, my crafty friends! OMG, I couldn’t wait to share this Simply Crafty SVGs DT inspiration project created with the absolutely adorable (and FREE) Pencil Gift Card Holder! My great nephew graduated from high school and my granddaughter graduated from middle school. Hard to believe he is getting ready to go to college and she is getting ready to go to high school in the Fall. I made two of these and they loved them! :)

2018_02110009a

Of course, I used classic yellow and black cardstock for the pencil! And that pink eraser looks real, doesn’t it?! LOL, I’m totally LOVING this!

Hi everyone! I just love this time of year! Flowers blooming, birds chirping, and most of all we’re still having cool nights along with mildly warm days! Today is my post day on the Simply Crafty SVGs blog and I’m excited to share my Garden Bench gift box using the amazing Garden Bench cut file which I absolutely love! I just can’t get over that it’s a gift box! I think this would be absolutely adorable stuffed with an assortment of flowers for a crafty friend! What do you think?!

2018_06120001a

I used 120# kraft cardstock for the base and a scrap piece of multi-color striped paper for the coordinating front and side pieces which I inked.

Here’s a shot of the back that I left plain.

I embellished the bench with Nuvo Crystal Drops and a couple butterflies because we can usually find butterflies in our garden. :)

mermaid kisses

Hello, my crafty friends! Happy June 1st – we’re almost officially half way through the year! I’m posting the new June “Monochrome” challenge today on the a2z Scrapbooking blog and I’m happy to share my DT inspiration project using Hero Arts Mermaid Kisses stamp setHero Arts Mermaid Kisses Frame Cuts and Hero Arts Mermaid Sea Waves Stencil. I created a thank you card featuring a fun little underwater scene in light, medium and dark shades of teal. Oh what fun!

Leslie

I created the background by lightly spraying Glimmer Mist over the stencil. When that dried I sponged light teal ink over the entire panel along with medium teal ink on the edges, and layered the panel on medium teal cardstock. I then stamped several images from the stamp set in either black or dark teal ink on white cardstock, colored them with Spectrum Noir markers, and cut each with it’s coordinating die. I arranged my scene and then stamped the sentiment in dark teal ink.

2018_05270010a

I stamped the inside sentiment in dark teal ink and embellished the panel with a leftover die cut.

Autumn Blessings

Hello again, everyone! It’s that time again… time for several posts on the first day of the month and I’m so glad you’re here! A new challenge is live this morning at Love To Craft Challenge Blog and I’m really happy to share my DT inspiration project for LTCCB #23 – June Anything Goes. You know how I love my fancy folds – I created a pretty Autumn pocket card using Hero Arts Color Layering Autumn Trees stamp set. I love this fold! ;)

Leslie

You just can’t go wrong with these Hero Arts Color Layering stamps and Layering inks. I bought these in a bundle and they make it look like you’ve been stamping for hours, lol! The cardstock and paper are from Stampin’ Up. I can’t believe it, but no embellishments; just a fancy fold and stamping!

Here’s a shot of the card open, revealing the pocket…

hey, chick!

Hello, hello, hello! Can you believe it’s already June 1st?! Where has this year gone?! It’s time for another fun challenge over at Mix It Up Challenge Blog and I’m super stoked to share my DT inspiration project for MIUCB #14 – Anything Goes + Smooshing! Okay, “What’s smooshing?”, you ask… it’s the art of ‘smooshing’ your paper down into a puddle of inky water on your craft mat. It’s fun and it’s messy, lol! And remember, all of our challenges are ‘anything goes’ and the optional technique twist is offered to inspire you and is not required to play in our challenges!

Leslie

I smooshed my watercolor paper down into yellow, orange and red Brusho powders spritzed with water on my craft mat. I did this several times, drying each layer before smooshing again, until I got the look I wanted. I trimmed the watercolor paper and the layering panel, and rounded the lower right corner of these pieces as well as the card base. I added eyelets on three of the corners and hand-cut three flags. I stamped the sentiment on the largest flag and affixed them to the panel. I stamped a chicken on the panel and then twice on white cardstock. I colored one of them with Spectrum Noir markers, fussy cut and layered them together, and adhered them over top of the stamped chicken on the panel. I popped the panel up on a piece of white Foamies foam prior to adhering to the card base. I finished the front panel with several dots of Nuvo Crystal Drops.

2018_05270006a

I layered the inside panel and embellished it with leftover strips used on the front, then stamped the inside sentiment.

2018_05270007a

Here’s one final shot showing the dimension. Really loving how this turned out! It’s been ‘forever’ since I used any eyelets and I really love the interest they give this project!

INSTINCT is enough

Hi everyone! It’s June 1st AND it’s Friday! Doing the #happydance! It’s time for another fun challenge over at Love To Scrap Challenge Blog and I’m excited to share my DT inspiration project for LTSCB #110 – Marry Me! We’d love to see your wedding, engagement or anniversary project! We’re being sponsored again this month by the amazing STAMPlorations so be sure to come over and play with us for a chance to win a $15 gift certificate! Plus, our challenge participants can get a 15% discount on their STAMPlorations orders by using the code LOVETOSCRAP15 (good on all products except gift certificates)! How cool is that?!

I created my first-ever marriage proposal card featuring stamps from the STAMPlorations Art Is stamp set and die cuts from the CUTplorations Uppercase Alphabet Plate die.

Leslie

I created the background with several Tattered Angels Glimmer Mists. After they dried, I stamped the sentiment in black ink, trimmed the panel and rounded the lower left corner. I layered the panel on black cardstock and adhered it to the card base after rounding those corners as well. I finished the front panel with a few dots of Mercury Crystal Drops.

2018_05270002a

I spritzed the two lightest Glimmer Mists on the inside panel, and when they dried, I added a leftover strip of black cardstock and adhered the ‘MARRY ME’ alphabet letters cut from pink cardstock. I colored small black dots on the tops of all the letters with a Copic multi liner pen.

2018_05270003a

Here is one final shot. Really loving the bold look that the Glimmer Mists and the stamp gives this card!
