Hi everyone! Happy Hump Day – I hope you’re having a great week! Today is my post day on the Simply Crafty SVGs Blog and I’m excited to share my DT inspiration project with you, a very cool Rustic Outhouse created with the Simply Crafty SVGs Outhouse cut file. OMG, I had THE best time creating this! I dug out the rust paste and made the hardware on the door and the roof rusty! Gotta have some rust!
I used a woodgrain background stamp on all the pieces beneath the trim. I have to say that Simply Crafty SVGs owner, Sandy, thought of everything when she created this cut file… even a toilet seat and toilet paper, lol!
Here are shots from different angles. This is the first time I’ve played with the rust paste and I think I like it! :)
And back to the front, showing all that glorious rust on the door hinges and handle, and some on the horseshoe above the door! Loving how this turned out!

Hello crafty peeps! Seems like I was just here posting a pile of projects for the 1st and now we’re already a week into September! This month will be gone in a blink too, lol! Today is my Featured Post Day on the Gecko Galz blog and I’m excited to share my DT inspiration project using an absolutely gorgeous image from the Tres Chic Collage Set as well as paper from the Paper Roses Mini Paper Pack and sentiment from the Charming Words Collage Set! It’s been a while since I created a step card and I thought this image and the paper would look just beautiful on one. Our challenge this month is Putting on the Ritz so come play with us!
I created the step card base from light pink cardstock. I trimmed the image and layered it on a darker pink cardstock and then on silver foil cardstock. I gave her dress a nice coat of clear sparkle overlay marker to give it some gorgeous shimmer. I created a lace edge die cut from white glitter paper and used sections above and below the layered image, and then layered the image on white foam.
I cut panels for the sides and bottom of the step card base from the Paper Roses Mini Paper Pack and layered them on the darker pink cardstock. I added a sentiment from the Charming Words Collage Set across the bottom panel and traced the word with a clear star shimmer pen. I affixed several large pink gemstones on the sides and bottom as well as tiny white pearls on the lace die cut.
And here’s one final look… absolutely loving how this turned out!
Cardstock/Paper: GKD Innocent Pink cardstock, Stampin’ Up Melon Mambo cardstock, Stampin’ Up Dazzling Diamonds Glimmer paper, Stampin’ Up Silver Foil Sheet, Gecko Galz Paper Roses Mini Paper Pack

Dies/Punches: Crafter’s Companion Lace Edge die

Hi everyone! We’re almost a week into September… where has this year gone?! This is my first post as a new design team member over at Stinkin’ Inkers! I’m SO stoked! Come on over and play with us in our September Leaves Are Falling Challenge – we want to see your project using Fall colors! I created a fun quilt block card depicting a definite Fall theme. Fall is finally here… hooray!
What a fun card! I made one of these a while back for another DT and with a different theme, and I really enjoyed it. The little ‘quilt blocks’ are layered and popped up on foam for dimension. I stamped and cut several different leaves and faux tied them together with some twine, and then added a couple tiny buttons.
I decorated the inside with leftover pieces of cardstock and DSP from the front, along with an extra leaf, and then stamped the awesome sentiment.
One more angled look… I’m totally loving how this turned out!
Cardstock/Paper: Stampin’ Up Delightful Dijon and Very Vanilla cardstock, Stampin’ Up Petals & Paisleys Specialty DSP
Stamps: Stampin’ Up Lighthearted Leaves and Vintage Leaves stamp sets
Ink: Stmapin’ Up Soft Suede, Delightful Dijon, Cajun Craze and Mint Macaron inks
Dies/Punches: Stampin’ Up Leaflets Framelits

I hope you’ve enjoyed today’s project and will link up a project with Fall colors this month! We’d love to see what you create! Thanks so much for stopping by – we’ll see you again soon! ;)
Hi everyone! I’m posting the new September Clean and Simple challenge today on the a2z Scrapbooking blog and I’m happy to share my DT inspiration project using the fun Hero Arts To Seize or Not To Seize stamp set! This is my last post for a2z Scrapbooking and I’d love to shout out a huge thanks to my DT peeps there for having me along for the past 14 months! I’ve thoroughly enjoyed myself!
I’ve really been enjoying clean and simple cards. They used to be so intimidating for me but once I started doing them and leaving all those layers and my big signature bow behind, they were a piece of cake! Now don’t get me wrong… I still love layers and I still love me some big bows!
And how about this inside sentiment?! L-O-V-E it! I already know that this stamp set is going to be one of my favorite go-to stamp sets! So fun!
And one final look… I really love the simplicity of this card!

Hi everyone! I’m winding down with my first-of-the-month posts and thanks for hanging in there with me! One more after this one, lol! A new challenge is live over at Gecko Galz and I’m super stoked to share my DT inspiration project for the September Putting on the Ritz Customer Challenge!
This is my first Gecko Galz post and I wanted to create something super ritzy! So I used lots of glam and glitz with the image I used from the Retro Christmas Collage Set! Isn’t she sassy?!
Lots of layering going on here. I layered the background on black cardstock and added a pretty frilly lacy die cut edge down the left side. I added a thin faux stitched border down the center of the die cut edge and added some clear rhinestones. I cut the image with a dotted rectangles die and layered it on teal foil cardstock, then on black cardstock, then on pastel teal glitter paper and then another layer of black cardstock and popped up on foam for some dimension. I gave her dress, the trees in the background and the snowflakes all a nice coat of shimmer which you can’t see, darn it! The final touches were the sentiment sticker and file tab.
I decorated the inside with leftover strips of patterned paper and black cardstock used on the front, stamped a super cool sentiment and layered the panel on more black cardstock.
One final look… love the dimension! Love how this turned out! :)
Cardstock/Paper: Stampin’ Up Whisper White and Basic Black cardstock, Stampin’ Up Cupcakes & Carousels DSP, DCWV Glitzy Pastels paper, DCWV Teal Foiled cardstock

Hiya, crafty friends! Here I am again with another first-of-the-month post on this fine Saturday morning! The September challenge is live over at Mix It Up Challenge Blog and I’m happy to share my DT inspiration project for MIUCB #17 – Anything Goes + Layering! I’m really loving mixed media these days and I really enjoyed creating this!
I started by laying out quite a few pieces of ephemera and inking the edges of all of them. I hand-cut a large heart from 120# kraft cardstock and inked it. I dusted off my Janome Sew Mini sewing machine and created a gathered flower from a canvas scrap. The final element was adding a rub-on to a canvas strip and stitching around the edge with the Sew Mini. Before I added the two canvas elements, I splattered black ink with a fan brush.
There definitely was a whole lotta inking going on! And I might add that the blue and pink color combo made a gorgeous shade of purple! Here are a few more angled shots from different aspects so you can see the elements, dimension and colors.
Cardstock/Paper: Paper Accents 120# Kraft cardstock
Ink: Ranger Black Soot distress ink; White Gesso; Tattered Angels Glimmer Mists and spray inks- Camel Glam, Pewter GZ, Vintage Pink GM, Shade SS, Party Pink GM, It’s Blue GM, Gold GM and Woven Burlap
Accessories: 7 Gypsies ‘Drawer’ Salvage Art, ‘Enjoy’ Stash Paque, ‘Inspire’ Parchment Rub-Ons, and Chicken Wire Tall Base; Canvas Corp Brands canvas scraps; Janome Sew Mini sewing machine; Your Next Stamp Purple Glitter Gumdrops; fan brush
I hope you’ve enjoyed today’s project and will link up an ‘anything goes’ project with us this month! And we’d love it if you’d play the twist and add some layers to your project! Easy peasy! Thanks so much for stopping by – we’ll see you again real soon! ;)

If not, come join us at the new Merry Little Christmas Challenge Blog where we create Christmas cards and projects all year long! All of our challenges are ‘Anything Christmas Goes’ and our second challenge is live this morning! I’m happy to share my DT inspiration project for MLC #2 – September Anything Christmas Goes! Those who know me know that I’m a fun fold freak and this double flap fun fold is particularly fun to make! Super easy and packs a huge punch!
I chose a striped pattern paper, plain cardstock and silver foil. There’s a layered flap on the left and a slightly smaller one on the right. The only embellishments are two strips of curvy bling.
Here’s a shot showing both flaps open to reveal the inside sentiment.
