Pink & Purple Dotted Bowls

Hi everyone! Happy Wednesday – I hope you’re having a great week! I’m not posting on the Simply Crafty SVGs Blog today but have popped in this morning to share an extra DT inspiration project with you, a pair of dotted bowls created with the free Simply Crafty SVGs Embellishment Bowl cut file. Yes, I said free, so be sure to check it out! ;)

2019_087001a

I inked the upper and lower edges of these bowls with white chalk ink to disguise the white core of the dotted papers I chose.

2019_087002a

Sandy hit the ball home when she created this file… these bowls are an amazing addition to any crafter’s studio and went together seamlessly. I just had to have a couple of these on my table to put small embellishments in so I wouldn’t lose them. Can’t tell you how many times I’ve lost small things that I had set aside for projects I was working on! Love how these turned out and I’m thoroughly enjoying using them! ;)

Violets & Bees Mini Album

Hello, my crafty friends! I hope you’re having a good day! I’ve popped in this morning to share my Ephemoire inspiration project with you. If you haven’t already done so, be sure to head over to the Ephemoire Etsy Shop to check out all the amazing digital printables… there are collage sheets, digital papers, journal kits, clip art and mixed media printables, and the print quality is awesome! I’ve been playing with the Violets & Bees #1 Scrapbook Papers Letter Size, Violets & Bees #2 Scrapbook Papers Letter Size, Violets & Bees Printed Washi Tape, Violets & Bees Ephemera Collage Sheet and Violets & Bees Mini Card and Envelope Set, and created a mini album. Violets & Bees is a FABulous collection and needless to say, I’ve had a blast!

2019_06120013a

Green and purple is one of my all-time favorite color combos. I printed the papers and mini cards and envelopes, and trimmed them all. I printed the washi tape and ephemera sheets twice, and fussy cut all the elements. I created the album base from white cardstock, punched three holes on each page, and also created the reinforcements for the holes using two circle punches. I adhered a different paper to each page of the album, created assorted pockets, and positioned all the elements where I wanted them, one page at a time, and when I was happy with the placement, I adhered everything down.

There are 12 pages and each page contains one or two tags tucked into a pocket, ready for journaling or photos. All the tags have ribbon pulls, and I added skinny Washi tape and dot sparklers to each page. Really loving how this turned out!

thanks note card

Hi everyone! Happy Monday – hope you had a great weekend! Our new sketch challenges this month are live over at Stick It Down and I’ve popped in this morning to share my Card Team inspiration project! Corbett Creations is our sponsor this month so come on over and play for the chance to win a prize! The card team is showcasing projects today on the blog and this is our super awesome card sketch this month, created by Sharon:

Aug 2019 card
I’ll start off by saying I.love.this.sketch. It makes for a beautiful card no matter what papers or elements you use. I used one of my favorite cardstock stacks and created the three narrow panels from a floral print that I layered on a coordinating plaid print. The layered die cut sentiment is from a third print in the stack.

2019_0706005a

I layered the background and the three narrow panels on brown cardstock. I cut four ‘thanks’ die cuts and stacked them for dimension. I finished the front with a felt butterfly and some pink sequins from my stash.

2019_0706006a

Since this is a note card, I left the inside blank but did embellish the panel with leftover strips of cardstock used on the front and layered it on the brown cardstock.

One more look… I’m totally in love with this card! I will definitely be using this sketch again!

Happy Birthday

Hi everyone! Happy Hump Day! Today is my post day on the Simply Crafty SVGs Blog and I’m excited to share my DT inspiration project with you, a totally adorable birthday card created with the Simply Crafty SVGs Garden Window Card cut file. OMG, I couldn’t wait to get my hands on this… what a fun project! Now I can’t wait to give it to someone special! ;)

2019_0730001a

I dug into my stash of American Crafts smooth cardstock and pulled out several colors to cut all the pieces from, then put the card together. I love watching Sandy’s videos, and this one was as easy as she portrayed it to be. ;)

2019_0730002a

I inked the panel on the back for the personal message and signature.

Here’s a view from the top so you can see the awesome construction of this box card. Sorry my angle is a little off, lol!

And one final look… flattened and ready to go into an envelope. I absolutely love how this turned out!

Documented

Hello, my crafty friends! Hope you had a great weekend! A new challenge launched over at UnstampaBelles last Monday and today is my showcase day on the blog! I’m thrilled to share my DT inspiration project for Challenge #92 – Tea In The Garden! The twist this month is Watercolor Wonders.  The twist is not mandatory to play but we’d love to see your creativity and it will put you in the running for DT Favorite! And there’s a prize in the mix… a $15 AU gift voucher… so let’s see what you got!

I created a friendship card using a teacup and flowers die along with a purple and green watercolored background. I am so in love with this card – I think it’s one of the prettiest cards I’ve ever made in all my years of crafting. I’m going to send it to my daughter.  :)

2019_06230013a

There are multiple layers of the flowers and teacup. I used a gold paint marker to accent the rim, handle and saucer. I used two different prints of skinny Washi Tape. The front and inside sentiments are Tim Holtz Metallic Quotations stickers.

2019_06230014a

I decorated the inside with leftover strips of watercolored paper and cardstock used on the front.

2019_06230015a

One more look at the dimension of the teacup and flowers. I’ve had this die in my stash for several years and this is the first time I’ve used it. Not sure why… it’s absolutely gorgeous!

What A Finish!

Hi friends! Hope you’ve had a great week! This month’s Anything Goes with Dies Challenge is live over at Happy Little Stampers and I’m thrilled to share my DT inspiration project with you today! I was commissioned by a co-worker to create a baby card for her race-car-driving friend who is expecting a baby boy this month, and the Cottage Cutz Baby Sleeping On Moon die set paired with a digital finish line flag definitely fit the bill!

I cut all the baby, moon and cloud elements from thick white cardstock and colored them with Studio 71 alcohol markers. I cut out the flag and created a pole for it. Then I stamped the sentiment with the Stampin’ Up Alphabet Labeler stamp set, trimmed the strip of cardstock and embellished it with some skinny Washi Tape.

2019_0421001a

I created a background panel with blue cardstock layered on black, and added the flag. I pieced together the baby on the moon and strategically placed it on the flag, then placed the stars and clouds in the background. The final touch was adding the sentiment across the bottom.

2019_0421002a

I embellished the inside panel with leftover strips of cardstock used on the front and then stamped the sentiment. I added a small stitched heart die cut.

2019_0421003a

One more look… I’m so smitten with this die set and I love how this card turned out!

ATC

kindred spirits

Hello, my crafty friends! I hope you’re having a good week! This month’s ATC Challenge is live over at Happy Little Stampers! I’m excited to share my DT inspiration project with you today! The theme for our August ATC Challenge is Time and we’d love to see what you create for our challenge this month!

I created an ATC for a BFF – a best friend I’ve known for about 45 years. Yes, we go waaaaay back, lol! In keeping with the challenge theme, I used a very cool clock stamp for the background and then heat embossed it.

2019_0728009a

I dug through my October Afternoon stash of ephemera and stickers, and found several pieces to embellish the front of the ATC.
