happy days

Hey everybody, I hope your week has started off on a nice note! I have a fun ScrapbookingStore DT inspiration project to share with you today created with items in the May 2026 Scrapbook Kit with Upgrades. The papers and sticker sheet in this month’s collection are among some of the best for creating a variety of cards. And what better way to congratulate someone on their new home than with a super cute peek-a-boo slider card?! It’s been nine (yes, NINE) years since I made one of these (post is HERE) and when I saw it on Lisa Curcio’s blog a couple weeks ago, I was instantly inspired to make it again. I’ve seen my handwritten instructions a hundred times over the years when looking through my tutorial folders so I honestly don’t know why it has taken so long to re-visit this one, lol!

I cut the front and back card base pieces from CutCardStock Mantis Green, and the center piece from CutCardStock Green Curry cardstock. I cut layering panels from coordinating Doodlebug Design prints in the collection and used 1-1/4″ and 1-1/2″ circle punches for the apertures. I used a Love From Lizi Stitched Circle Nested Cutting Die to cut the sentiments that are seen peeking through the apertures.

I cut the back panel from 80# Solar White cardstock and embellished it with a strip of paper used on the inside. I used the Keep It Simple Back To Basics Congratulations Sentiments stamp set to stamp the sentiment on the back panel in Catherine Pooler Garden Party and Lime Rickey inks using the rock-and-roll stamping technique. I then used the Sakura Clear Star Gelly Roll pen to add some shimmer to the letters. I’ve included an overhead shot so you can see the construction of this fun card!

Crazy cat lady and crafting junkie! We care for 15 feline rescues and just added a Forkie pup to the tribe (Frenchie + Yorkie)! I’m addicted to stamping and love making cards, ATCs, and 3-D projects (especially paper shoes, paper purses and mini albums). I also dabble in mixed media, art journaling, altered art and custom jewelry. If you’re looking for me, I’ll either be in my studio or getting some kitty or puppy lovins! ;)
