FAITH bigger than fear

Hi friends! Happy Friday – I hope you’re having a great week! I’m up on the Prickley Pear Stamps blog today with an inspiration project featuring the Be Joyful stamps and dies! I totally love this stamp set – besides the amazing images, it has some pretty awesome sentiments! I created a pretty front step card which is one of my all-time favorite fun folds!

I cut the card base from Neenah Classic Crest 80# Solar White cardstock along with layering panels from coordinating papers in the Keep It Simple Lemon 12×12 Collection Pack. I stamped the image and sentiment from the Be Joyful stamp set in Memento Tuxedo Black ink on Neenah Classic Crest 80# Solar White cardstock, colored the image with alcohol markers, and cut it with the coordinating Be Joyful dies.

I punched the sentiment using the Stampin’ Up 1-3/8″ circle punch and layered it on a slightly larger circle that I punched from a scrap of coordinating yellow paper from the Keep It Simple Lemon Collection Pack with the Fiskars 1-1/2″ circle punch. I assembled the card using Eyelet Outlet Grass Washi Tape to ground the image and added several Keep It Simple Clementine Enamel Shapes.

I cut the back panel from Neenah Classic Crest 80# Solar White cardstock, embellished it with a print from the same Keep It Simple Lemon Collection pack, and stamped another sentiment from the Be Joyful stamp set in Tuxedo Black ink.

#SLEEPOVER shaker

Hey everybody! Whaaat?! It’s the middle of May already! I’m delighted to be back with another Keep It Simple DT inspiration project to share today created with papers, die cuts and stamps in the new Pajama Party Collection! I sure do love me some shaker cards, and OMGoodness, this edge-to-edge shaker was a fun one! In addition to shaker bits and sequins, I included some die cut sentiments, stars and hearts to add to the fun!

I cut a 3-1/2″ x 6″ mini slimline card base from Neenah Classic Crest 110# Solar White cardstock along with a layering panel from a stripped pattern in the Pajama Party 6×9 Collection Pack. I adhered two sides and the bottom of a Kat Scrappiness Mini Slimline Full Front Shaker Pocket and added speech bubble and slipper die cuts from the Pajama Party Die Cut Pieces to the outside of the pocket. Next, I added a couple pinches of Buttons Galore & More Pitter Patter Doo Dadz Embellishments along with some Neat & Tangled Sequins. I also added some stars from the Pajama Party Die Cut Pieces as well as hearts and sentiments from the Pajama Party Cards & Ephemera Die Cut Pieces.

I cut the inside panel from 80# Solar White cardstock and embellished it with some of the striped paper used on the front. I stamped a sentiment from the Pajama Party Stamps, colored one word with a Kirarina Wink Strawberry Ice marker, and fussy cut it. The finishing touch was adding one more die cut.

Peace & Happiness

Hi friends! Happy Friday! Is it me, or are the weeks just flying by?! I’m up on the Prickley Pear Stamps blog today with an inspiration project featuring the new Peace stamp set released in February! You know me… I absolutely love bold colors, so that’s the direction I went with this mini slimline! And this stamp set is perfect for using bold colors!

I cut a 3-1/2″ x 6″ mini slimline card base from CutCardStock Basis 110# White cardstock along with layering panels from Basis Yellow cardstock and Hot Off The Press Flowing Ink patterned paper, and then used a Tonic corner punch to cut off the corners. I stamped the PEACE sentiment in Memento Tuxedo Black ink on Basis 80# White cardstock, colored it with Sharpie Ultra Fine Point markers, and fussy cut the letters. I ran a Memento Tuxedo Black marker around the edges of the letters for a more finished look.

I adhered the letters to the background and then stamped the remaining portion of the sentiment in Tuxedo Black ink. I added several Darice tiny clear gemstones (colored with a yellow Arteza Y22 alcohol marker) to the letter P for a little interest. I added a couple die cut hearts that I had laying on my desk from another project, and this completed the card.

Hi friends! Happy Friday to everyone – I hope you’re having a great week! I received an email a while back from the lovely Debbie, owner of the Creative Creases blog, asking if I’d like to guest design in 2023. Of course I couldn’t say no, so here I am with a fun GD inspiration project for Creative Creases Challenge #57! You know how much I love the Art Impressions Matchbooks, so I have the Coffee Shop to share with you today! I used the Coffee Shop stamps and dies along with the Matchbook Template Die and Matchbook Envelope Dies, and it turned out so stinkin’ cute I can’t stand it!

I cut the base from Polly’s Paper Studio patterned paper using the Matchbook Template Die. I stamped all the elements from the Coffee Stop stamps in Memento Tuxedo Black ink on Neenah Classic Crest 80# Solar White cardstock, colored them with alcohol markers, and cut them with the coordinating Coffee Shop dies.

I always enjoy the assembly the most. Here’s a shot of the Matchbook with the tiny envelope. I used the Matchbook Envelope Dies and the back side of the striped paper for the envelope.

And here are some angled shots. Love, love, love!

Hi friends! I hope you’re having a good week and you’re enjoying some gorgeous weather like we’re having out here in southwestern Colorado! Our new challenge is live this morning over at Ally’s Angels and I’m thrilled to share my DT inspiration project for Challenge #70! It’s rapidly becoming wedding season so I made a cake box card using Hot Off The Press dies! I love how this turned out and I can definitely see more of these in my future, not only for weddings but for anniversaries and birthdays, too!

Using the Hot Off The Press Cake Box Card Cutting Dies, I cut the cake card base from Neenah Classic Crest 110# Solar White cardstock, the candle flame from CutCardStock Basis Gold, the candle from CutCardStock Pop Tone Cotton Candy cardstock, the cake layers from Stampin’ Up Winter Wonderland Designer Vellum Stack, and the icing from Brutus Monroe pink glitter sheet.

I embellished each layer with an assortment of Wild Orchid Crafts flowers with pearl sprays on two of the layers. I added a bow made from Doodlebug Design Lily White twine. The sentiment is from Stampin’ Up Happy & Heartfelt stamp set, stamped in Memento Lilac Posies ink. This was a super fun one to put together!

I added a Solar White cardstock panel on the back with another sentiment from the Stampin’ Up Happy & Heartfelt stamp set, stamped in Memento Lilac Posies ink.

There’s NOBUNNY like you!

Hey everybody! A very Happy Monday to you all! I’m stoked to be back with another Keep It Simple DT inspiration project to share today created with the new Bunny Season Collection! I created a fun tab card using papers, stamps, dies and enamel dots in the collection! I can’t tell you how much I’m enjoying playing with all these adorable goodies! This is one of the cutest collections ever!

I cut a standard A2 size side-folding card base from Neenah Classic Crest 110# Solar White cardstock along with a layering panel and two strips (one for the front and one for the inside) from the Bunny Season 6×9 Cardstock Pack. I cut the front flap with a Pretty Pink Posh Stitched Tabs die, stamped a sentiment from the Bunny Season Collection Stamps in Memento Tuxedo Black ink, and embellished the tab with a die cut heart from the Bunny Season Die Cut Pieces.

I stamped the bunnies in the basket and bee (from the Bunny Season Collection Stamps) in black ink on Solar White cardstock, colored them with alcohol markers and cut them with the coordinating Bunny Season Collection Dies. The finishing touch was adding several Bunny Season Enamel Dots.

I cut the inside panel from Neenah Classic Crest Solar White cardstock and layered it on a paper from the Bunny Season 6×9 Cardstock Pack. I stamped a sentiment from the Bunny Season Spring Sentiments stamp set and added a tiny bit of color to the bee with an alcohol marker.

‘Read More’ note cards in a box

Hey everybody! Happy Monday! Sure seems like this weekend went by in a big POOF! I’ve popped in this morning to share a Syncopation Design inspiration project created with papers and elements in the new Let’s Get Lit bundle! Just in case you aren’t familiar with the terminology, it has to do with literacy – not getting intoxicated, lol! I know several people who are bookworms and thought this kit was perfect to create a set of 3-1/2″ x 5″ note cards in a box! Such a fun project!

I printed the solid and patterned papers from the collection on HP 32# copy paper and the elements on CutCardStock Basis 80# White cardstock. I created the card box and ten 3-1/2″ x 5″ card bases from Neenah Classic Crest 110# Solar White cardstock. The card box sports patterned paper panels and fussy-cut elements, as well as an Eyelet Outlet silver washi tape strip and Darice gemstones from my stash, and has a velcro closure. The simple card design is basically the same for all ten cards, featuring solid and patterned paper panels and fussy-cut captions/sentiments (popped up on foam strips) along with a silver washi tape strip and gemstone.

Howdy peeps! I hope you’re having a great weekend! I’m stoked to be back with another Keep It Simple DT inspiration project created with the new Party Dress Dies that were just released last month! OMGoodness, talk about FUN! Yes, these are amazing and can be used for so many different occasions! I created a super cute congrats card for this showcase! I used coordinating papers from the Royal 12×12 Collection Pack and stamps from the Congratulations and Get Well sentiment stamp sets!

Using the Party Dress dies, I cut the card base and layers from two coordinating papers in the Royal 12×12 Collection Pack. I assembled the card and added a small strip of Eyelet Outlet purple Pearls & Jewels Fancy Long Bling at the waistline. I stamped a sentiment from the Congratulations sentiment stamp set in Memento Paris Dusk ink. The finishing touch was adding several Eyelet Outlet white pearls around the bottom scallops.

I die cut the inside panel from Neenah Classic Crest 80# Solar White cardstock and adhered a strip of one additional coordinating paper from the Royal 12×12 Collection Pack across the bottom. I stamped a sentiment from the Congratulations sentiment stamp set in Memento Paris Dusk ink along with a tiny heart from the Get Well sentiment stamp set in Catherine Pooler Flirty Fuchsia ink.

Hi everyone! Happy Saturday – I hope you have something fun planned this weekend! I have an awesome CutCardStock DT inspiration project to share with you today featuring quite a variety of cardstock! I had a play with my Scan N Cut and created a fun wedding truck box card in mainly purple but with a pop of silver, red and green. I absolutely love box cards and I really enjoyed putting this one together!

Using my Scan N Cut, I cut the card base and box layers from Curious Metallic Violette, the windshield and mirrors from Dolphin Gray, the hearts from Pop Tone Grape Jelly and Red Wagon, the bumper from Bright Silver Foil, the wedding rings and diamond from Bright Silver Foil and Silk Glitter Opulent Opal, the flower and leaves from Red Wagon and Pop Tone Jellybean Green, the tail lights from Red Wagon, the tires from Pop Tone Black Licorice and the sentiment letters from Silk Glitter Opulent Opal cardstock. As I always say, the fun part is the assembly!

I added a sentiment to the back of the card which wasn’t part of the cut file. Using the My Favorite Things Stitched Rectangle STAX, I die cut a rectangle from Neenah Classic Crest Solar White cardstock. I stamped a sentiment from the Stampin’ Up Happy & Heartfelt stamp set in Catherine Poole Queen For A Day ink.

Here are two additional shots of the card – one angled and one folded flat for mailing.

5/14/23 Sweet Pick at Cupcake Inspirations!

Hi friends! A very Happy Thursday to you! I’m up on the Prickley Pear Stamps blog today with an inspiration project featuring the Love You stamps and dies that were just released in January! Wow, talk about a versatile set… this one is! It can be used for many different occasions – Valentine’s Day, Mother’s Day, Anniversary! I created a ‘love you just because’ slimline because I love this kind of card!

I cut a 3-3/4″ x 9″ slimline card base from Neenah Classic Crest 110# Solar White cardstock along with a strip from 80# Solar White cardstock. I also cut a layering panel and slightly narrower strip from two pretty coordinating pink papers in the Keep It Simple Rose 12×12 Collectiond Pack. I stamped the large sentiment and heart in Memento Tuxedo Black ink on an additional coordinating pink paper (from the same Rose Collection Pack) using the Love You stamps and then cut them with the coordinating Love You dies. I added some shimmery silver detail on the edge of the heart with a Kirarina Wink silver metallic marker. Finally, I added a floral element created with the Pinkfresh Studio In The Meadow Washi Tape and Die along with several Eyelet Outlet pink pearls, which completed the card.
