2018_05170001a

I picked all my colors of cardstock, cut all the pieces from the cut file, and commenced to gluing, lol!

2018_05170002a

Despite the complex look, it really was not difficult at all.

Surf Shack

Hello, my crafty friends! I am so excited to share my latest DT inspiration project for Simply Crafty SVGs – a Surf Shack! I am so in love with how this turned out! I used the Love Shack cut file, along with elements from these cut files: Surfer’s Paradise Card (surf board and tree), Fishing Boat Box (life preserver) and Mountain Camping Box Card (chair). OMG… I cannot even begin to tell you how much I enjoyed this!

2018_05130001a

As part of the transformation of this cut file from Love Shack to Surf Shack, all of the walls, roof shingles and door pieces are stamped with a woodgrain background stamp which I thought added a fun touch. I added ‘rope’ to the life preserver and sparkle overlay marker to the surf board for some shimmer.

Here are a few more shots from all angles. I just LOVE this! Squeal! ;)

Berta’s Ride

Hi everyone! A very Happy Hump Day to you! The closing date on our house was  postponed so we’re looking forward to moving the first weekend in April! I have a fun post for you today – a project created with Simply Crafty SVGs free Treatmobile cut file. As soon as Sandy added this cut file to the store, I had to have it. My sister, Roberta, had a 1964 VW Beetle back in the day that she affectionately called Herbie. She passed away in 1988 and I’ve never forgotten all the fun we had in that car. Our road trips were amazing. I could go on and on as I reminisce!

2018_02110011a

I used white cardstock for the car base, and medium and dark shades of purple cardstock for the car parts. I used a sweet floral patterned paper for the doors.

2018_02110012a

I just can’t get over the cuteness overload! Loving how this turned out and I can’t wait to gift it! ;)

Products used:
Cardstock/Paper: Stampin’ Up Whisper White, Elegant Eggplant, Perfect Plum and Basic Black cardstock; Pebbles Basics 6×6 paper pad

I hope you’ve enjoyed seeing this awesome little project I created with the free cut file from Simply Crafty SVGs! Pop on over and grab it, and while you’re there, be sure to check out all the other fun designs! You’ll leave there a happy camper, I’m sure! Thanks so much for stopping by today – we’ll see you next time! ;)

Happy St. Patrick’s Day

Hi everyone! Happy Hump Day! I’ve popped in today with a fun DT inspiration project for Simply Crafty SVGs using the Side by Side Box Card cut file and the shamrock from the Pot O Gold Treat Box cut file. OMG, you’da thought I was a giant kid putting this together, lol! What fun!

2018_02110001a

I used 120# kraft cardstock for the card base which makes the card pretty stable. I used a couple shades of green cardstock for the vehicle along with some ‘manly’ patterned paper that I lightly inked. I used an extra print and cut sentiment (included in the cut file) that I punched with a circle punch.

2018_02110002a

I cut several shamrocks (from the Pot O Gold Treat Box cut file) and attached them to strips of clear window sheet to load up the back of the vehicle! :D

2018_02110003a

And one final shot showing the collapsed and ready-to-mail card. So cool! ;)

2018_02110004a

Products used:
Cardstock/Paper: Paper Accents 120# kraft cardstock; Stampin’ Up Basic Black, Always Artichoke, Basic Gray, Smoky Slate and Garden Green cardstock; Crafter’s Companion Just For Men patterned paper
Ink: Ranger Black Soot distress ink
Dies/Punches: Simply Crafty SVGs Side by Side Box Card and Pot O Gold Treat Box cut files; Stampin’ Up 1-1/4″ and 1-1/2″ circle punches

A gift from me to you.

Hello, my crafty friends! Happy Friday to you! I’ve popped in this morning to share a fun little gift box from Simply Crafty SVGs! This Clutch Purse Box is in the ‘Freebies’ section and is so much fun to make! Since joining the Simply Crafty SVGs design team, I’ve decided to create an extra project each month in addition to my regular DT inspiration project which will feature a free file in the shop.

2018_02110005a

I used black cardstock for the base along with a gorgeous floral patterned paper for the decorative panels. I stamped the ‘gift’ sentiment in black on a scrap of coral paper to match, then again in Versamark, and then embossed it in clear. I cut the sentiment with a flag die and added a flower from my stash.

Vintage Mailbox

Hi everyone! Happy Monday! I’m posting my first DT inspiration project today for Simply Crafty SVGs and I can’t wait to show you what I made, lol! What an adorable cut file – a Vintage Mailbox that I created in one of my all-time favorite color combos of black, white and pink. So fun!

2018_02040001a

I cut the mailbox base from black cardstock and all of the coordinating pieces in pink and white polkadot paper.

2018_02040002a

I cut the decorative oval in the center in plain pink cardstock and embellished it with pink gemstones.

2018_02040003a

I also cut the ‘MAIL’ label for the lid from plain pink cardstock. I adhered a paper flower from my stash as well as a velcro circle underneath to keep the lid closed.

2018_02040004a

I took this project one step further and made a set of six note cards to tuck inside. ;)

2018_02040005a

All the card bases are black with blank white inserts to write custom messages. I used pink polka dot paper on three of them and plain pink cardstock on the other three, and adhered tiny black heart die cuts (from my stash), all to coordinate with the mailbox. :)

Products used:
Cardstock/Paper: Stampin’ Up Basic Black, Melon Mambo and Whisper White cardstock, Stampin’ Up Pop of Pink DSP
Dies/Punches: Simply Crafty SVGs Vintage Mailbox cut file

Flower Sandal

** 8/13/17 Sweet Sprinkles Award Winner at Pile It On! **

Hi everyone! Happy Friday – hope you’ve had an amazing week! Mine has been great – life is pretty darn good these days! Today is my post day on the Dare 2B Artzy blog and I’m happy to share a DT inspiration project using three papers from the Fields of Joy Collection Paper Pack – Orange Plaid, Hoot Hoot and Owls & Flowers. This is my last post for the Dare 2B Artzy design team and I thank these ladies for this amazing opportunity – I’ve had such a good time! I’ll be back as a guestie in a few months! ;)

Cindy, owner of Dare 2B Artzy, asked me to create a sandal for her to take to craft shows for display, and this adorable sandal is what I came up with. I created a flip flop template several years ago that I use to make the flip flops and other sandals in my paper shoe collection which you can find HERE if you’re interested in looking.  This sandal has a heel, however, and the others do not (template has no heel) but I will soon update my template to include the optional heel.

2017_07130006a

I targeted a pink and red flower and cut out several of them to layer the different pieces. I added some clear Morning Dew Crystal Drops to the largest pink layer and several tiny silver seed beads (adhered with the Crystal Drops) to the center of the flower for a ‘jeweled’ effect.

2017_07130008a

I have such a shoe fetish and sure wish I could make my own shoes! I’d have a gazillion pairs, lol! So pleased with how this turned out!

Here’s one last shot… of the sole. :)

relax

Hello, crafty friends! Well, we are officially past the half-way mark of 2017. Like I keep saying, Christmas will be here before we know it, lol! I created a fun Perpetual Calendar for our Dare 2B Artzy Bright Colors challenge going on this month! I used the GOR-JUSS Diamond Bliss Paper and a sentiment from the Flip Flops stamp set stamped in Margarita Lime ink! LOVE these colors! Come on over and play with us for a chance to win a stamp set and ink pad of your choice! ;)

BrightColors-challenge-badge

OMG, I had such a good time creating this! The Dare 2B Artzy double-sided 12 x 12 papers are amazing and of such good quality – just perfect for projects like this.

2017_06130007a

I couldn’t decide which side of the paper I wanted to use for the cubes or the walls on the base, so I cut all the layering pieces and kept flipping them until I made up my mind. I love the sentiment – a reminder, every day, to take a moment to relax!

2017_06130008a

Here’s one more shot of a different angle. These colors are just amazing, and perfect for our ‘bright colors’ challenge this month!

2017_06130009a

I’m so tickled with how this turned out. The days and months keep rolling with these cubes and boxes… just like they do in real life! ;)
