I’m so sorry for your loss

Hey everybody! I hope you’re having a beautiful Sunday and perhaps enjoying it with family! We’ve had some absolutely gorgeous weather for the past several days so we’re happy campers here! Affiliate links are used in this post at no cost to you – I really appreciate your support! I’ve popped in this afternoon to share a card I created for The Outlawz November Freebie/Progressive Challenge. Our sponsor this month is SheepSki Designs and we were gifted the gorgeous Claudia’s Plant digital image to create with. The ‘disappearing nine patch card’ was recently showcased in a Splitcoast Stampers newsletter HERE – and I fell in love with it! – so I used that technique to create this pretty sympathy card.

I created the patchwork piece from nine different green patterned papers from Polly’s Paper Studio. I cut a square top-folding card base and a layering panel from Neenah Classic Crest Solar White cardstock along with a layering panel from CutCardStock Pop-Tone Jellybean Green cardstock which I adhered together and then adhered the patchwork piece to it. I colored the digital image with alcohol markers, fussy cut it and adhered it to the front of the card. I stamped the sentiment from the Trinity Stamps A Sentiment For (Almost) Everything stamp set on a scrap of Solar White cardstock, trimmed it and adhered it on an adhesive foam strip just beneath the plant. The final touch was adding several gemstones from the Trinity Stamps Andradite Sparkle Embellishment Mix using the Trinity Stamps Pick Up Stick.

I cut the inside panel from Neenah Classic Crest Solar White cardstock and embellished it with strips of green patterned paper and CutCardStock Pop-Tone Jellybean Green cardstock. I stamped the sentiment in green ink and layered the panel on green cardstock.

And one more peek… I’m absolutely smitten with this ‘disappearing nine patch card’ – and this digital image looks fantastic on it! Sympathy cards are typically not easy for me but this one came together very easily.

Poinsettia Double Gatefold

Hi everybody! Hope you’re having a great weekend! Our little rescue kitten, Fogg, is doing so well – we are having the time of our lives watching him sleep, eat, play and repeat! Thanks to everyone who said a little prayer for him while he was sick. <3 Affiliate links are used in this post at no cost to you – I really appreciate your support! I have a pretty double gatefold Christmas card to share that I’m entering into The Outlawz Saturday Paper A La Mode Challenge. I’m in love with this paper – it’s called Poinsettia Passion from Hot Off The Press – and it’s some of the prettiest paper in my stash!

I die cut the card base from CutCardStock Basis Natural cardstock and then die cut all the layers from the poinsettia papers which I adhered to the card base. The final touch was adding gemstones from the Trinity Stamps Ruby Radiance Embellishment Mix using the Trinity Pick-Up Stick. This is only the second time I’ve used this Creative Craft Products Double Gatefold Card die set (which came from Paper Wishes, along with the papers) and I really love it! Die sets make cardmaking so dang easy! ;)

The inside panels and sentiment were both cut from the poinsettia papers which completed the card. This was a super easy card with a short list of supplies! This would be an easy one to mass-produce for those on your Christmas card list!

Under the Mistletoe

12/1/21 Top Pick at ABC Christmas Challenge!

Hi friends! I hope you are having a wonderful Saturday! I started mine off taking photos in my studio, so you know I’m having a good one! Affiliate links are used in this post at no cost to you – I really appreciate your support! I’m one of those who makes extra cards all year long, in a variety of themes, and stash them away until I need them. Oftentimes, they’ll either be used for challenges that arise or for random design team projects if I happen to change my other mind (since I typically work way ahead on DT projects), lol. I’m sharing this card in The Outlawz Monday Greetings Challenge where our sponsor is Twinkle Lane Designs and the challenge is to Add Buttons and/or Bows. This sprig of mistletoe is ‘tied’ together with a bow, so win-win!

I cut a mini slimline card base from Neenah Classic Crest Solar White cardstock and layering panels using the Waffle Flower Mini Slimline Layers die set cut from Neenah Classic Crest Solar White cardstock and CutCardStock Pop-Tone Jellybean Green cardstock. Using black, green and two different red inks, I stamped the mistletoe, bow and sentiment (all from the STAMPlorations Layered Mistletoe stamp set) on the white cardstock layering panel. I adhered the panels together and then to the card base. I added several dots of white gloss Crystal Drops to finish the front panel.

I die cut the inside panel from Neenah Classic Crest Solar White cardstock and embellished it with narrow strips of CutCardStock Basis Red cardstock at the top and bottom of the panel, stamped the sentiment in red ink, and layered the panel on a die cut panel cut from CutCardStock Pop-Tone Jellybean Green cardstock.

And one more peek… so loving how this turned out! I’m in love with all of STAMPlorations’ layered stamp sets! The whimsical nature of the images is just so fun!

Merry Christmas Step Card Shaker

11/26/21 Top 3 at Crafty Catz!
12/1/21 Winner at Aud Sentiments Challenge Blog!
12/15/21 Honorable Mention at Christmas Craft Creations!

Hi everyone! A very Happy Saturday to you – I hope you’ve had a great week! Affiliate links are used in this post at no cost to you – I really appreciate your support! I’m stoked to be back on the Eyelet Outlet blog today with another awesome DT inspiration project! Seems I’m always in Christmas mode so I created a classic step card and added a snowflake shaker element which I filled with our Snowflake Sequins. I used clear gemstones from our Clear Jewel Bling and Clear Bling Strips to embellish the snowflakes on the front of the shaker.

I used a step card die set to cut the card base from CutCardStock Basis Navy cardstock along with layers from CutCardStock Curious Metallic White Silver cardstock and Hot Off The Press Snowfall 6×6 double-sided papers which I adhered to the card base. I built the shaker element with the Hot Off The Press Snowflakes Ornament Chipboard, using the Snowfall patterned paper for the inside and added several additional die cut rings (using two circle dies) cut from Neenah Classic Crest 110# Solar White cardstock to make it just a tad deeper and then filled it with our Snowflake Sequins. I painted the outside rim and edge silver with a Posca Silver paint pen and colored the snowflakes on the front of the shaker with alcohol markers in blue tones, adding clear gemstones from our Clear Jewel Bling and Clear Bling Strips to embellish them. I adhered a tied snowflake ribbon to the top and added a sentiment stamped in blue ink on Neenah Classic Crest 80# Solar White cardstock from the Trinity Stamps A Sentiment For (Almost) Everything stamp set to complete the card.

Here are a few more shots of this awesome card.

And one more peek of the card folded flat for mailing. I sure do love how this turned out! Shakers are among my all-time favorites!

Merry Christmas for The Outlawz!

Hi friends! Well, I’m back on this fine Thursday morning posting another card for The Outlawz Challenges! I just couldn’t stay away, lol! Affiliate links are used in this post at no cost to you – I really appreciate your support! I’m entering this Christmas card into the Festive Fridays Challenge where SheepSki Designs is our sponsor this fortnight, so come on over and play! I CASE’d my own card from several months ago – used the same dies and papers but created a totally different design. These dies and papers really work well together!

I cut a square top-folding card base from Neenah Classic Crest Solar White cardstock along with a layering panel from CutCardStock Basis Red cardstock and diagonally-cut patterned paper and glitter paper pieces from the Christmas Print 6×6 paper pad which I adhered to the red cardstock panel with a narrow strip of red cardstock adhered at the seam. Using the Birch Press Design Wreath Layer Set, I cut the pieces from Neenah Classic Crest Solar White cardstock, CutCardStock Basis Red cardstock, CutCardStock Basis Green cardstock and CutCardStock Canvas Texture Galax 4×6 cardstock, and assembled the wreath. Using the Sizzix Christmas Ribbon Thinlits, I die cut one sentiment from CutCardStock Basis Red cardstock and one from CutCardStock Canvas Texture Galax 4×6 cardstock, and adhered them together with just a peek of the green showing underneath the red. I adhered the wreath to the card front and then the sentiment. I added clear rhinestones to the wreath along with a ribbon bow to complete the card front.

I cut the inside panel from Neenah Classic Crest Solar White cardstock and embellished it with strips of CutCardStock Basis Red cardstock and the patterned paper and glitter paper from the Christmas Print 6×6 paper pad. I stamped the sentiment in dark green ink and layered the panel on red cardstock.

And one more look… I really love both of these die sets and see lots of use out of them in the coming years!

Thank You note card

11/26/21 Featured Creation at Scrapping4fun Challenges!
11/28/21 Sweet Pick at Cupcake Inspirations!
12/15/21 November Sitewide Winner at The Outlawz Challenges!

Hi everyone! I hope you’re having a great week! It’s turned quite chilly here – a mere 21 degrees when we got up at 3:30 AM this morning – and we love it! Affiliate links are used in this post at no cost to you – I really appreciate your support! I am once again making time to play in The Outlawz Challenges, and have this pretty thank you note card to share in the Sunday Songs & Rhymes Challenge. Our sponsor this fortnight is Makenna Kroulik so come on over and play! We were given the song “Autumn Serenade” for inspiration, and these gorgeous leaves in the Prickley Pear Stamps Oak & Maple Leaf 2 stamp set really spoke to me. What a beautiful background for a thank you note card, and we always need thank you cards in our stash!

I cut a standard A2 size top-folding card base and a layering panel from Neenah Classic Crest Solar White cardstock, along with an additional layering panel from Papertrey Ink Terracotta Tile cardstock, and rounded the four corners on all of them. I stamped the background using the Prickley Pear Stamps Oak & Maple Leaf 2 stamp set in various colors of Ranger archival inks, and layered the panel on the terracotta tile cardstock panel and then to the card base. I stamped the sentiment, trimmed it and rounded the corners. I layered it on a scrap of the terracotta tile cardstock and adhered it to the center of the panel. I finished the front with random dots of Crystal Drops over the background piece and both sides of the sentiment.

I cut the inside panel from Neenah Classic Crest Solar White cardstock, embellished it with a wide strip of Papertrey Ink Terracotta Tile cardstock, and layered it on a terracotta tile cardstock panel. I left the panel blank, leaving plenty of room to write a custom thank you message.

And one more peek… so loving how this background turned out! These stamps are just gorgeous and created such a beautiful background!

12/1/21 Top Pick at Christmas Crafts All Year ‘Round!

Hi everyone! It’s Hump Day already and I hope you’re having a great week! Time is flying by! Affiliate links are used in this post at no cost to you – I really appreciate your support! I’m stoked to be back on the CutCardStock blog today with an awesome DT inspiration project featuring more of our red, white and green cardstock that’s on sale this month! If you haven’t already, be sure to grab some for your holiday craft projects! I created a beach Christmas card – and I think it might only be the second one I’ve ever created! Why is that?! Stretching those stamp sets and getting a little more out of them is so much fun! ;)

I cut a standard A2 size top-folding card base from CutCardStock Basis Green cardstock along with a layering panel cut from Neenah Classic Crest 110# Solar White cardstock and a wide strip cut from CutCardStock Brown Bag Kraft paper. I stamped the waves on the white cardstock using the Hero Arts Color Layering Waves stamp set and then lightly inked the sky with Ranger Stormy Sky and Shaded Lilac distress inks. I tore the kraft paper to make the sand shore line. I stamped the Adirondack Chair on CutCardStock Basis Red cardstock using the Dare 2B Artzy Flip Flops stamp set, heat embossed it with Ranger Clear Embossing Powder (with flecks of Hero Arts White Embossing Powder in it), and cut it with the coordinating Flip Flop & Adirondack Chair die set. I stamped the sentiment (also from the Hero Arts stamp set) in dark blue ink, adhered the chair and added a Santa hat brad before adhering the panel to the card base.

I cut the inside panel from Neenah Classic Crest Solar White 80# cardstock and embellished it with leftover strips of CutCardStock Basis Green cardstock and CutCardStock Basis Red cardstock, using a stitched borders die on the wide red cardstock strip for a little interest. I stamped the sentiment in dark blue ink and layered the panel on red cardstock.

And one more look… super happy with how this turned out! And it’s already ear-marked for a super awesome beach-loving friend! ;)

Hi fun fold

Howdy peeps! I hope your week is off to a great start! I have a kitten update which I’ll keep short: We took our little guy, Fogg, to the vet yesterday where he’ll likely stay for a couple days. The vet feels like overall he has a slightly better chance of survival than his sister (Stormie) had, so all we can do is continue to pray. We sure would appreciate some prayers from you all if you are the praying type. <3 Affiliate links are used in this post at no cost to you – I really appreciate your support! I have another card to share this morning that I created from the Jack and Lily Collection, which is the newest release over at Prickley Pear Stamps! Isn’t Lily adorable?! The Jack and Lily characters were created in the likeness of the owers’ real-life grandkids. And you know me and fun folds… I can’t get enough of them! I thought this teepee card showcased Lily perfectly with the pastel colors!

I cut the teepee card base from Neenah Classic Crest Solar White 110# cardstock along with layering panels from Papertrey Ink Green Parakeet cardstock and My Favorite Things Sweet Celebration and Hot Off The Press Sweet Pea patterned papers. I assembled the card base, adhered the cardstock and patterned paper layers, and added a magnet closure. Using the Hello Lily stamp set, I stamped Lily and her clothing and other elements on Neenah Classic Crest Solar White 80# cardstock, colored them with alcohol markers (and added Ranger Glossy Accents to her rain boots), and cut them with the coordinating Hello Lily die set. I created a rosette with the Tim Holtz Alterations Mini Paper Rosettes die and stamped the Hi sentiment on the center circle. I created the birthday sentiment on the computer and printed it on white cardstock, trimmed it and adhered it to the back panel. I adhered Lily to a plain die cut and then adhered her and the rosette to the front of the card. I added gemstones from the Trinity Stamps Andradite Sparkle Embellishment Mix and Trinity Stamps Morganite Muse Embellishment Mix using the Trinity Pick-Up Stick to complete the card.

Here’s one more look at the card folded flat for mailing. I so love how this turned out! I can only imagine how adorable this child is in real life!

Do I really need more shoes?!

Hey, everybody! Well, another weekend has come and gone, and here we are facing Monday again! But that’s okay as far as I’m concerned… a crafty day is a good day, and it doesn’t matter what day of the week it is! I’m thrilled to be back on the Clear Scraps blog today with another awesome DT inspiration project! Those who know me know that I am passionate about two things: (1) fun folds and (2) shoes! ;) Well, actually three things: (1) cats – we rescue, (2) fun folds and (3) shoes! When I married my kids’ dad many moons ago, I had nearly 60 pairs and he just couldn’t understand it, lol! I don’t have nearly that many now but I still reminisce about the good ol’ days when I had a pair in every color imaginable to coordinate with every outfit. So out came the Acrylic Tag Album to document those memories! This was a fun project!

I cut different colors and patterns of paper for every page, hand-cut in a whimsical fashion, leaving just a tad bit of the clear acrylic showing on all edges. I die cut labels and stitched ovals for each page and layered the white stitched ovals on the label die cuts. I stamped different shoes (including boots and flip flops) with sentiments on the ovals and colored them with alcohol markers to coordinate with the patterned paper on that page. I created hole reinforcements with two circle punches and tied the pages together with purple wrinkled ribbon embellished with a shoe charm from my stash. I added tiny iridescent gemstones to each page to finish the album.

One more look… so loving how this turned out! Great selection of shoes, boots and flip flops – had to cover all bases, lol!

Wish Big

Hi friends! I hope you’re having a great weekend. We are having issues with our two latest 10-week-old kitten rescues – we lost our baby girl night before last and then last night our baby boy stopped eating/drinking and started wheezing. We’re praying that it’s just a respiratory thing that will go away with an antibiotic. I typically don’t post sad stuff but I am having a really hard time with this. If you are the praying type, we’d appreciate some prayers for our little guy now. Please and thank you. <3 Affiliate links are used in this post at no cost to you – I really appreciate your support! I’ve popped in to share another sample I created for the Prickley Pear Stamps new release called the Jack and Lily Collection which was created after the owners’ grandkids. I used the Hello Lily stamp set and coordinating Hello Lily die set to create this adorable birthday card in a fun file folder style. File folder cards are super easy to create with a WRMK Envelope Punch Board, Fiskars 12″ SureCut Paper Trimmer and a corner rounder.

I cut a standard A2 size top-folding card base from Neenah Classic Crest Solar White 110# cardstock along with a layering panel and embellishing strip cut from patterned paper which I layered together. I added two strips of washi tape for a little interest and then adhered the patterned paper panel to the card base. I stamped Lily and her clothing and other elements from the Hello Lily stamp set on Neenah Classic Crest Solar White cardstock, colored them with alcohol markers (and added Ranger Glossy Accents to her rain boots), and cut them with the coordinating Hello Lily die set. I adhered them to the card front along with a die cut sentiment from CUTplorations Skinny Sentiments. The final touch was adding several gemstones from the Trinity Stamps Aquamarine Ripple Embellishment Mix using the Trinity Pick-Up Stick.

I cut the inside panel from the patterned paper and adhered it to the inside of the card base. I cut a panel from Neenah Classic Crest 80# Solar White cardstock and embellished it with a coordinating patterned paper strip and two strips of washi tape, and adhered it to the card base. The final touch was adding a STAMPlorations Happy Happy Clear Sticker for the sentiment.

And one more look… really loving how this turned out! There’s nothing more fun than these adorable images on a file folder style card!
