Hey everybody! I hope you’re having a great first day of Fall! Can you believe it’s finally here?! I’m delighted to share a Keep It Simple DT inspiration project created with our Love To Learn Collection. When this collection debuted back in July, I knew it would be a fun one – the papers and ephemera sure make for a bright, bold and fun kid card! So I created my first-ever triangle trifold and love how it turned out! My inspiration came from THIS Splitcoast Stampers tutorial.
I cut the card base and belly band from CutCardStock Lessebo Sunflower Yellow cardstock along with layering panels from the Love To Learn 6×9 Collection Pack. I embellished the belly band with several pieces of ephemera from the Die Cut Pieces, and used two tiny buttons from the pack of Crafty Girls Buttons on the flaps.
I layered the sentiment on CutCardStock Lessebo Salt Water cardstock and added another couple pieces of ephemera from the pack of Die Cut Pieces.

Hey everybody! Happy Monday – I hope you had a great weekend! I’m thrilled to share a Keep It Simple DT inspiration project with you today created with our new Shaker Frames! We are still vibin’ over here in southwestern Colorado – we had Fall vibes going on last week and now we have some cozy vibes going on today with this fun Christmas card. I totally love shaker cards and Christmas is my favorite holiday so this was definitely a win-win! And you HAVE to check out our new Shaker Frames line – there are six different sets which means six different kinds of shaker fun! The Here Comes Santa Claus Collection used to make this card hasn’t hit the store yet so stay tuned and I will update this post when the collection is available. Update: The collection has hit the store so I’ve added the links to this post!
I cut the A2 size side-folding card base from Neenah Classic Crest 110# Solar White cardstock along with layering panels and the shaker frame pieces from coordinating papers in the soon-to-come Here Comes Santa Claus Collection. I used the adhesive foam from our new Back To Basics Shaker Basics under the shaker frame but used tulle for the shaker front rather than acetate. I filled the shaker areas with a variety of our new Sprinkles. I stamped the Santa from the Collection Stamps, colored him with a variety of markers, and cut him with the coordinating Outline Die. I cut the sentiment from the cut-apart sheet in the Collection Pack.
I cut the inside panel from 80# Solar White cardstock and embellished it with a border and sentiment from the cut-apart sheet in the Collection Pack.

Hey everybody, Happy Tuesday! I’m delighted to share an awesome Keep It Simple DT inspiration project with you today. You may remember that our new Shaker Kits debuted on the website back in early August. We have a Facebook Live craft-along planned for October 5th to celebrate World Cardmaking Day where several members of our design team will demo the Life Is Sweet and Freshly Brewed kits. These are available as a bundle to purchase prior to the FB Live if you’re interested in joining in! But in the meantime, I’m sharing two cards I made with the Life Is Sweet kit. I’ll share the other two cards I made with the Freshly Brewed kit on the day of the Live.
The card bases, adhesive foam, acetate, frames, ephemera, and shaker bits are all included in the kit. I made my cards a little different than the samples on the package. I added Back To Basics Mango and Rose Enamel Dots to the center of the flowers on the front of my first card.
And this is my second card. I have a confession to make… I messed up the scalloped frame included in the kit so I had to go to Plan B… I die cut another frame from a paper in the Back To Basics Mango Collection Pack using a die in the KIS Shaker Frames A2 Frames #3. I honestly don’t think anybody would ever notice but I wanted to share that the A2 Frames work with this kit! These cards turned out so cute and the only extra ingredient needed to make them is adhesive. I used two kinds of double-sided tape and some small foam pads for dimension. I love that everything else is included!

Hey everybody! I hope you’re having a fabulous weekend! I’m stoked to share a Keep It Simple DT inspiration project with you today that I created with our NEW Nuts About Fall Collection! This tented easel card is fun to make and really packs a punch! And it couldn’t be simpler – cardstock size is 4-1/4″ x 11″, scored at 4-1/4″ and 8-1/2″, making the folded card 4-1/4″ square. Front layering panel is 4″ x 4″ and bottom layering panel is 2-1/4″ x 4″ with a white layering panel for the inside cut at 4″ x 4″. Boom. Easy.
The card base was cut from CutCardStock Lessebo Coffee Bean cardstock along with layering panels from coordinating prints in the Nuts About Fall 6×9 Collection Pack. I used a Wavy Borders die to cut a panel for the truck to park on. The truck was stamped on patterned paper along with the front sentiment, pumpkin and acorns on Solar White cardstock (all from the Collection Stamps, stamped in Memento Rich Cocoa ink), and cut with the coordinating Outline Dies.
I colored the pumpkin, acorns and a few elements on the truck with markers in my stash and popped some of them up on foam squares. I cut the sentiment for the bottom flap from a sheet in the Collection Pack and popped it up on foam squares as well to use as the ‘stopper.’ The final touch was adding a few Back To Basics Mango Enamel Dots.
I cut the inside panel from Solar White cardstock and embellished it with a leftover strip of patterned paper used on the bottom flap. I stamped an inside sentiment and leaf from the Collection Stamps in Rich Cocoa ink which completed the card. Oh, I love this!

Hey everybody! I hope you’re having a great weekend! Has it cooled off any at all where you live? Our Summer out here in SW Colorado really hasn’t been too bad; we haven’t even reached 100 degrees which I consider a good thing! Today has been super busy on my blog but I have one more project to share – a side accordion panel card created for Keep It Simple using our Stars & Stripes Collection released in June. I really like this easy fun fold (and have made several like it) although it has a few different names depending on where you see it. I’ve watched videos by Lisa Curcio and Sharon Armstrong although there are quite a few others on YouTube.
Here are the mini instructions: Cut the 5-1/2″ x 11″ card base from CutCardStock Lessebo Cherry Red cardstock, score at 1-3/4″, 3-1/2″, 5-1/4″ and 7″, and fold on all the score lines. Cut a smaller folded piece from Cherry Red at 3″ x 6″ and score at 3″. From coordinating prints in the Stars & Stripes 6×9 Collection Pack, cut three 1-1/2″ x 5-1/4″ panels for the left side, a 3-3/4″ x 5-1/4″ panel for the right side, and two 2-3/4″ square panels for the smaller folded piece. Cut one additional 2-3/4″ square panel from white cardstock for a sentiment. Embellish as desired.
I fashioned a bow from the Back To Basics Stars & Stripes Ribbon using a little wooden bow maker my awesome friend gifted me last Christmas, and added gnome and sentiment die cut pieces to the front. I stamped a sentiment on the white panel and added another die cut piece. I added several stars from the Back To Basics Stars & Stripes Enamel Shapes, which completed the card.

Hey everybody, happy Sunday! I hope you’re having a good weekend! I’m delighted to share a birthday card for Keep It Simple! Yep, it’s our birthday! Be sure to check out our new KIS Birthday Club which debuted a couple days ago! By signing up you’ll get a 30% off coupon code to use on your birthday which is good for 45 days after your birthday! AND if you sign up by the end of August you’ll be entered into a drawing for a $25 shopping coupon! How cool is that?! Be sure to use my code LoveToScrap2 for 10% off your entire order!
I created this birthday card using the super adorable Buzzy Hands Happy New Year stamp. Yes, you read that right… a Happy New Year stamp. I was really thinking outside the box with this… some bright colors for those balloons, noise-maker and his hat (paired with sentiments from the Back To Basics Birthday Sentiments stamp set) were all I needed to turn this into a birthday card! A timeless argyle background using the KIS Stamps & Stencils really added to the fun! At first glance, this looks pretty plain but the image is actually multi-dimensional (four layers at the thickest point) and very cool! I love how it turned out!
I cut a standard A2 side-folding card base from Neenah Classic Crest Solar White cardstock along with layering panels from Solar White and CutCardStock Pop Tone Black Licorice cardstock. Using the KIS Argyle Stamps & Stencils with Ranger squeezed lemonade and mowed lawn distress inks, I created the background on the Solar White layering panel. I trimmed it and layered it on the black cardstock, then added a torn panel of CutCardStock Glama Natural Translucent Vellum to tone down the busy background.
I stamped the gnome on Solar White cardstock and used a Sharpie white paint pen to ‘white out’ the champagne glass and then made a copy of that image which I fussy cut. I stamped him three more times and used those stamped images to cut the pieces and parts from to layer him up with foam squares, coloring each layer as necessary. I stamped sentiments from the Back To Basics Birthday Sentiments stamp set in Memento Tuxedo Black ink on a vellum scrap, stamped again in Versamark, and then heat embossed them with Hero Arts Clear Embossing Powder. I used Kat Scrappiness snow on the pom-pom on his hat and added a few Back To Basics Jade Enamel Dots which finished the card front.
I cut the inside panel from Solar White cardstock and embellished it with a strip of yellow paper from the Back To Basics Lemon 12×12 Collection Pack and leftover strips of the argyle background and Black Licorice cardstock used on the front. I stamped two more sentiments from the same Birthday Sentiments stamp set in Memento Tuxedo Black and Ranger mowed lawn inks, and layered the panel on Black Licorice cardstock.

Hey everybody! Happy Monday – I hope you had a great weekend! Today is World Photography Day and I’m sharing a Keep It Simple DT inspiration project featuring a photo of our pup and items from our Max and Daisy Collection to celebrate the day! This flip flap shutter card is all about our girl, Tuffy, who will be a year old on October 13th. She’s a spoiled Forkie (Frenchie + Yorkie) and the cutest pup ever! I discovered this fun fold online several months ago, watched several videos, and settled on THIS video to learn how to make it. I’ve added the instructions to the Freebie section of my blog HERE if you’d like to learn how to make it. Despite it’s complex look, it really is not that hard. I enjoyed watching it come together!
I cut the card base and flaps from CutCardStock Lessebo Bubble Gum Pink cardstock, and layering panels from the Keep It Simple Max and Daisy Collection Pack and Back To Basics Rose 12×12 Collection Pack. I printed the photo of Tuffy on glossy photo paper, trimmed it and cut it into three sections. I chose a sentiment from the ephemera in the Max and Daisy Collection Pack, and added a mini puffy sticker and a half-circle pull tab to the left side of the frame. I created this using a Stitched Circles Nested Die that I cut in half and added letters from the Clementine Collection Stickers.
I added two more sentiments and a ball from the ephemera sheet in the Max and Daisy Collection Pack, which completed the card. Here are angled and overhead shots with the flaps open.

Hey everybody! I hope you’re having a great weekend! Our weather out here in southwestern Colorado has been absolutely beautiful over the past few weeks. We haven’t gotten the sweltering heat (knock wood) that lots of other areas have been getting. I have a wonderful Keep It Simple DT inspiration project to share today created with our new Haunted Halloween Collection! OMGoodness, if you’re a Halloween fan, you’re gonna love this one! The papers are amazing and you won’t believe the size of the pack of die cut pieces… it’s called a mega pack and they aren’t lying, lol! I created a haunted house shaped card featuring papers and die cut pieces from this new collection paired with our KIS Cuts Build-A-House die set! I love shaped cards and this was a lot of fun!
Using dies in the KIS Cuts Build-A-House die set, I cut the card base from Neenah Classic Crest 110# Solar White along with layering panels (and house pieces and parts) from patterns in the Haunted Halloween 12×12 Collection Pack and CutCardStock Lessebo Sunset Orange cardstock. The assembly is always the most fun, and I enjoyed picking out the die cuts and sentiments I wanted to use, popping some of the pieces up on adhesive foam.
I embellished the top portion of the inside flap with the striped pattern paper used on the front and some die cuts. I added a sentiment from the die cut pack, which completed the card.

Hey everybody! Happy Sunday – I hope you’re having a great weekend! I have a fun shaped card to share with you today for Keep It Simple created with our new KIS Cuts Freshly Brewed die set! I used acetate for the entire front of the card to resemble a clear plastic cup. And how about those vellum ice cubes… do they look real, or what?!
Using the KIS Cuts Freshly Brewed dies, I cut the cup base from Neenah Classic Crest 110# Solar White cardstock, the whipped cream and background and hearts from cream and brown papers in the Farmhouse Fall 6×9 Cardstock Pack, the straw from papers in the Rose 12×12 Collection Pack, and the ice cubes from CutCardStock Glama Natural Vellum cardstock.
As with any project like this, the most fun is the assembly! I added some coffee-colored yummies to the whipped cream that I pulled out of the Polymer Clay Assorted Sprinkles. I embellished the lip of the cup with several Rose Enamel Dots. And finally, I stamped the sentiment from the Sent With Love Collection Stamps in Catherine Pooler Sand Castle ink and cut it with the Sent With Love Outline Dies.
I cut the inside panel from 80# Solar White cardstock using a die in the set, and added the sentiment cut from the brown paper used on the front using the KIS Cuts Ford Double Cut Font. This was definitely a fun one!

Hi friends! Happy weekend – I hope you’re having a good one! I’m delighted to share a Keep It Simple inspiration project with you today – an extra one I made for our ‘Christmas in July’ showcase. Truth be told, I’m down for Christmas projects all year long, and this pocket card is one I had a lot of fun making! There are quite a few versions of a pocket card out there and I made this one from a single sheet of 12×12 cardstock. I have included my handwritten template in the Freebies section of my blog HERE. I used our Rose and Jade paper collections (I totally love a pink and green color combo), stamps and dies from our Scandinavian Christmas collection, our stitched oval dies, ribbon, and enamel hearts.
Using my template, I cut the card base from CutCardStock 80# Basis White 12×12 cardstock and trimmed slivers off each of the cut lines to ensure that the sections fold completely flat. I embellished each of the sections with papers from our 12×12 and 6×9 Rose and Jade Collection Packs. There are four decorated pull-outs in the pockets, leaving lots of room for photos and journaling. One of the pockets has a punched thumb notch and one of the outside sections has a die cut stitched oval.
I also added stamped images from our Scandinavian Christmas Santa and Friends stamp set, colored with alcohol markers, and cut with the coordinating outline dies. I embellished the belly band with a tag from the Rose ephemera, a stamped image, and stamped and fussy cut sentiments.
Here are close-ups of each section. This was definitely a fun one!
