Whoop De Doo

Hey everybody, Happy Thursday! Can you believe we’re on the down-slide into September?! Holy moly, where has this year gone? I’m up on the Scrapbook Adhesives By 3L blog today sharing some inspiration for a sweet (pun intended, lol) birthday card inviting the recipient to eat cake! I could go for that!

You know I love the ‘Wear Your Adhesive on the Outside’ technique and have featured it twice on this clean and simple card. I used the 3D Foam Cupcakes along with orange and red flock and brown glitter from my stash to create the focal image. I also used the 3D Foam Micro Squares White along with Metallic Transfer Foil Sheets Nature Colors to create the little embellishments on the pinstripes. Of course, I would be remiss if I didn’t mention that I assembled the card with some of the best adhesives ever!

I cut the card base from Classic Crest 110# Solar White cardstock along with layering panels from Classic Crest 80# Solar White and CutCardStock Lessebo Brick Orange cardstock. I chomped two corners of all the pieces with a Tonic Corner Punch and affixed two sets of diagonal stripes using Love From Lizi Orange/Gold Pinstripe Peel-Off Stickers. I adhered the lightweight Solar White panel to the orange panel using the E-Z Runner Permanent Strips.

As mentioned above, I used the 3D Foam Cupcakes along with orange and red flock and brown glitter from my stash to create the cupcake focal point. I adhered some individual polymer clay mini pastel confetti sprinkles (from Keep It Simple) using the Dual Tip Glue Pen. Then I used the 3D Foam Micro Squares White along with Metallic Transfer Foil Sheets Nature Colors to create the little embellishments on the pinstripes.

To complete the card front, I stamped a diagonal sentiment from the Keep It Simple Birthday Sentiments stamp set in Memento Rich Cocoa ink.

I cut the inside panel from 80# Solar White and embellished it with a strip of Doodlebug Design patterned paper. I stamped another sentiment from the same Keep It Simple stamp set, and layered the panel on Lessebo Brick Orange cardstock.
