You are Toadally awesome

Hi friends! Happy Huuuump Day, is what the camel says! LOL, hope you’re having a good week! Affiliate links are used in this post at no cost to you – I really appreciate your support! And I’m back this morning with another sample I created for the Prickley Pear Stamps new release. This CAS-ish birthday card showcases the handsome Spinach from the Frog Pals stamp set and of course the coordinating Frog dies. So fun!

I cut a standard A2 size top-folding card base from CutCardStock Basis 110# White cardstock along with layering panels from CutCardStock Basis 80# White cardstock and CutCardStock Pop-Tone Jellybean Green cardstock, and rounded the bottom right corner on all of them. I stamped Spinach from the Frog Pals stamp set on a scrap piece of Basis White cardstock in Catherine Pooler Midnight ink, cut him with the coordinating Frog dies, and colored him with alcohol markers. I created a mini scene with stamped cattails and greenery, a sun and a dragonfly, colored them with alcohol markers, and added Spinach and a sentiment to complete the card front.

I cut the inside panel from CutCardStock Basis 80# White cardstock and embellished it with a strip of CutCardStock Pop-Tone Jellybean Green cardstock. I stamped the sentiment from the Frog Pals stamp set and layered the panel on green cardstock.

And one more look… super happy with how this turned out! Spinach sure made a Toadally awesome birthday card! ;)

3/13/22 Top Pick at Jan’s Digi Stamps Challenges!

Hey peeps! Does this year seem to be flying by as fast as last year?! Hard to believe it’s March 1st already! Affiliate links are used in this post at no cost to you – I really appreciate your support! Our new challenge has launched over at Mix It Up Challenge Blog this morning and I’m excited to share my DT inspiration project for MIUCB #58 – Anything Goes + optional Fancy Fold! You know how I love me some fun folds so this challenge was right up my alley! And my yearly commissioned Mother’s Day card creations have begun! I think I mentioned in a previous post that we have a hardware store here in our little town that also sells lots of other kinds of housewares, and the owner commissions me every year to make Mother’s Day cards, so I try to make a nice variety. I love this one so much that it would go to my own mother if she were still here with us! ;)

I cut all the pieces from American Crafts White cardstock; CutCardStock Basis Magenta, Basis Coral, Basis Gold, Pop-Tone Bubblegum, Pop-Tone Tangy Orange, and Pop-Tone Orange Fizz; Stampin’ Up Pear Pizzazz and Wild Wasabi cardstock; and Stampin’ Up Share What You Love Specialty DSP. That’s a lot of cardstock and patterned paper, lol! I always say the most fun is the assembly, and I had a blast putting this together and watching it come to life! I stamped a sentiment from the Trinity Stamps A Sentiment For (Almost) Everything stamp set in pink ink on a white cardstock scrap, trimmed it and adhered it to the bottom front.

Here are angled and back shots. I added a plain white panel to the back with a stamped sentiment from the Prickley Pear Stamps Christmas Holiday Gift Tags stamp set.

And one more look… the card is folded flat for mailing. I sure do love how this turned out! The array of colors is breathtaking!

Scrappy hugs,

Hey there, birthday girl!

Hi friends! Hope your week is off to a great start! I’ve been having a large time in my studio, as usual! Life is good! Affiliate links are used in this post at no cost to you – I really appreciate your support! Our new challenge is live this morning over at Love To Scrap Challenge Blog and I’m super stoked to share my DT inspiration project for LTSCB #154 – Anything Goes! I can’t even begin to tell you how much I enjoyed creating this card! Shoes have always been high on the list of life loves, and this card is amazing! The cut file is from The Dreaming Tree and of course I used my Scan N Cut to make it! I wonder if there’s a 12-step program for Scan N Cut addicts?!

I cut the pieces from Neenah Classic Linen 100# Solar White cardstock, CutCardStock Curious Metallic Night cardstock, CutCardStock Grape Jellybean cardstock and CutCardStock Pop-Tone Jellybean Green cardstock. The sentiment is from Taylored Expressions Simple Strips – Birthday stamp set which I stamped in Memento Tuxedo Black ink, cut with the Taylored Expressions Simple Strips – Assymetrical die set, and adhered horizontally across the front. I added Eyelet Outlet Green Jewel Bling to the flower centers to complete the card front.

I simply embellished the inside panel with Trinity Stamps Amethyst Accent Embellishment Mix (using the Trinity Pick Up Stick) so they are visible when the card is closed. I added a tiny magnet closure.

And one more peek… so loving how this turned out! I can definitely see more of these in my future! So fun!

Embossed Happy Mother’s Day

Hi friends! Hope you’re having a terrific Tuesday! Is it warming up any at all where you are? Things are status quo here… the hubs and I always ‘do our own thing’ which keeps us sane, lol! Affiliate links are used in this post at no cost to you – I really appreciate your support! Our new challenge is live this morning over at Love To Craft Challenge Blog and I’m thrilled to share my DT inspiration project for LTCCB #67 – Anything Goes! I have created several heat embossed commissioned Mother’s Day cards over the past couple years using this Clearly Besotted stamp set (with basically the same design) and each one turns out so beautiful using different colors for the flowers.

I cut a standard A2 top-folding card base from Neenah Classic Crest 110# Solar White cardstock and layering panels from Neenah Classic Crest 80# Solar White cardstock and Stampin’ Up So Saffron cardstock. I stamped the image from the Clearly Besotted One In A Million stamp set in black ink, stamped over that in Versamark and heat embossed it with Hero Arts Clear embossing powder. I learned this trick years and years ago to virtually get any color of heat embossing on a project. The only colors of embossing powder I have in my stash anymore are metals and some red I found not too long ago. ;) So I colored the embossed image with alcohol markers and adhered the panel to the yellow cardstock panel and then to the card base. I stamped the sentiment from the Dare 2B Artzy Flowers For Mom stamp set in black ink and added several dots of Nuvo Ivory Seashell Crystal Drops to finish the card front.

I cut the inside panel from Neenah Classic Crest 80# Solar White cardstock, stamped the sentiment from the same Clearly Besotted stamp set, and layered the panel on the yellow cardstock.

And one more peek… this is such a pretty CAS design that compliments any kind of girly card! And the image is absolutely stunning!

O Snowy Christmas Tree

4/28/22 DT Favorite at A Perfect Time To Craft Open Challenge!

Hi friends! A big Happy Tuesday to you! I hope you had an awesome weekend and your week has started off nicely! Affiliate links are used in this post at no cost to you – I really appreciate your support! Our new challenge is live this morning over at Merry Little Christmas Challenge Blog and I’m excited to share my DT inspiration project for MLCCB #43 – Anything Christmas Goes! I’m sure you all remember that Ed and I rescue cats and kittens and our current count is 18 – 11 inside and 7 outside. That said, we haven’t put up a regular Christmas tree in a few years, and we have a small one I made with my Scan N Cut that we put up high and out of reach along with a few other decorations!

I cut all the pieces from CutCardStock Pop-Tone Jellybean Green, Pop-Tone Gumdrop Green and Stardream Metallic Antique Gold cardstock. Using a fan brush, I splattered the green pieces with white acrylic paint mixed with a tiny bit of water spritzed from my Tim Holtz Distress Sprayer to resemble snow.

I assembled the Christmas tree, and added an Eyelet Outlet Gold Glitter Enamel Dot to the star on the top. I then added Eyelet Outlet Green, Orange, Pink, Blue and Purple Pearl Bling to the tree along with a red bow.

And one more peek… so loving how this turned out! Definitely a fun little decoration to add a bit of festive cheer to our living room even with 11 feline kids running about! ;)

Sending Hugs & Good Vibes

Hey everybody! Hope you had a good weekend and your week is off to a nice start! I tell you what… March 1st sure got here fast, lol! Affiliate links are used in this post at no cost to you – I really appreciate your support! Another one of my projects was a Featured Creation over at Scrapping4fun Challenges so I’ve once again been invited to guest design, this time for Challenge 210 – Something with Watercolors! I created a watercolored panel for the front of this clean and simple get well card, and I actually attempted my first process video while creating the watercolored panel… and my dang brush kept losing bristles on the wet panel! So the camera got turned off and the brush went into the garbage! Bahahaha! I’ll try again soon, so stay tuned! :D

I created a narrow watercolored panel from Ranger Distress Watercolor cardstock and Ranger salty ocean, peacock feathers, mowed lawn and mustard seed distress inks. I used the heat tool to ensure that it was dry before stamping the floral image from the STAMPlorations Beautiful You stamp set in Catherine Pooler Midnight ink. I then layered the panel on CutCardStock Royal Linen Eclipse cardstock. I cut a standard A2 size top-folding landscape card base from CutCardStock Basis 110# White cardstock and rounded the bottom right corner. I adhered the watercolored panel to the card base along with a sentiment from Taylored Expressions Simple strips In Reverse – Everyday Occasions cut with the coordinating Taylored Expressions Simple Strips – Asymmetrical die. The finishing touch was adding several gemstones from Trinity Stamps Melanite Magic Embellishment Mix with the Trinity Pick Up Stick.

I cut the inside panel from Neenah Classic Crest 80# Solar White cardstock and embellished it with a wide strip of CutCardStock Pearl Canvas Textured Surf cardstock layered on CutCardStock Royal Linen Eclipse cardstock. I added another sentiment from Taylored Expressions Simple strips In Reverse – Everyday Occasions cut with the coordinating Taylored Expressions Simple Strips – Asymmetrical die, and layered the panel on the smooth side of the surf cardstock.

And one more peek… I’m so smitten with this card! I’m telling you, less really is more sometimes! Love how this turned out!

Scrappy hugs,

Believe

Hi everyone! Can you believe it’s the last day of February already?! I’m telling you, it’ll be Christmas again before we know it! ;) Affiliate links are used in this post at no cost to you – I really appreciate your support! I’ve popped in today to share an awesome Tape Runner DT inspiration project! I created a pretty encouragement card in navy blue and pale pink, another one of my favorite color combos, and of course, all panels were adhered with Retractable Tape Runner. I’m donating this card to the Bearly Arts Cards for Cubs project, and encouragement is one of the themes requested, so here we are!

As mentioned above, all panels were adhered with Retractable Tape Runner. Wet glue was used only to adhere the sentiment and the narrow strips. I cut a standard A2 size card base from Neenah Classic Crest 110# Solar White cardstock and rounded the bottom right corner. I also cut a blue layering panel from CutCardStock Royal Sundance Linen Midnight Blue and a narrow strip from CutCardStock Curious Metallic Pink Quartz cardstock and adhered them to the card base. I had a STAMPlorations Blue Blooms ATC in my stash that was part of a Paper Goods sampler included with one of my orders a while back, so I rounded the bottom right corner and adhered it to the card front, popping it up on the right side with thin double-sided 3-D foam squares so it’s even with the cardstock panel and strip on the left side. Using the STAMPlorations Believe word die, I die cut the sentiment from the pink quartz cardstock and adhered it in a vertical fashion on the left side of the ATC. The finishing touch was adding three Eyelet Outlet pink enamel dots.

I cut the inside panel from Neenah Classic Crest 80# Solar White cardstock and embellished it with a strip of CutCardStock Curious Metallic Pink Quartz cardstock. I stamped the sentiment from the Altenew Painted Butterflies stamp set in Catherine Pooler Juniper Mist ink and layered the panel on CutCardStock Royal Sundance Linen Midnight Blue cardstock.

And one more look… so happy with how this turned out! I do love the color combo, and I love the secure assembly with this awesome Tape Runner!

Happy Easter

Hi friends! I hope you’re having a wonderful weekend and getting a little craft time in! Affiliate links are used in this post at no cost to you – I really appreciate your support! I’ve stopped in this morning to share another sample I created for the Prickley Pear Stamps new release. This card showcases the beautiful new Easter Cross stamp set along with the Crosses 2 stamp set and the Cross die set which were already in the store. It’s always fun to play with new stamps that compliment previously-released products! I love the embossed vellum scarf on this card!

I cut a standard A2 size side-folding card base from CutcardStock Basis 110# White cardstock along with a layering panel from CutCardStock Basis 80# White cardstock and frame elements from CutCardStock Basis Light Brown cardstock and CutCardStock Stardream Metallic Azalea cardstock using the Papertrey Ink Noted: Scalloped A2 Die Collection. I stamped the cross from the Crosses 2 stamp set in Catherine Pooler Icing on the Cake ink, cut it with the Cross die set and colored the tiny flowers with alcohol markers, then added some shimmer with a Sakura Clear Star Gelly Roll pen. I added the scarf which I stamped on vellum in brown ink, added Hero Arts clear embossing powder and heat set, and then fussy cut. I didn’t need to use Versamark to heat emboss because the ink stays wet a little longer on the vellum. I stamped the sentiment (from the Crosses 2 stamp set) in Catherine Pooler Be Mine ink and added several gemstones from the Trinity Stamps Morganite Muse Embellishment Mix using the Trinity Pick Up Stick.

I cut the inside panels from CutCardStock Basis Light Brown cardstock and CutCardStock Basis 80# White cardstock, and adhered them together. I stamped the sentiment and small flower cluster from the Easter Cross stamp set in Catherine Pooler Icing on the Cake ink and adhered the piece to the inside of the card base.

And one more peek… so loving how this turned out. These are must-have stamps and dies, and the pop of pink on the neutral cardstock looks amazing!

Merry Christmas Cardinals

Hi everyone! A very Happy Saturday to you – I hope you’ve had a great week! Affiliate links are used in this post at no cost to you – I really appreciate your support! I’m stoked to be back on the Eyelet Outlet blog today with another awesome DT inspiration project! You all know that I create Christmas crafts all year long, and this pretty card features our Cardinal Brads, Cardinal Profile Brads, Female Cardinal Brads and Clear Jewel Bling Strips. I absolutely love cardinals and thoroughly enjoyed creating this card with my Scan N Cut. Many people believe that a loved one is watching over us if a cardinal appears, and that’s what I always think of when I see one! ;)

I cut the card base from American Crafts White cardstock, and the remaining pieces from CutCardStock Basis Gray, Basis Red, Dolphin, and Curious Metallic White Silver cardstock. I added a Cardinal Brad, a Cardinal Profile Brad and a Female Cardinal Brad to the birch trees, and then added a Clear Jewel Bling Strip down each side for a little festive bling.

Here’s another angled shot.

And one more look… folded flat for mailing! This card is amazing and the three kinds of cardinal brads I used are some of my favorites in the Eyelet Outlet store!

Scrappy hugs,

Baby It’s Cold Outside

Happy Friday, everybody! We’re down another week – and we’ll be down another month in just a few days! Time is flying by! I’m excited to be back on the Clear Scraps blog today with another awesome DT inspiration project! Since we still have a little bit more of the cold stuff ahead of us, I created a pretty Winter shaker note card featuring our Mini Shaker Window as well as our 4×6 Stars Stencil which I used for the night sky. I can only imagine how these cats feel looking out the window at the full moon in the starry sky, sparkling tall trees and snow banks! I’d be in love, lol!

I cut a standard A2 size card base from white cardstock and adhered a panel of patterned paper to it. I cut a panel of blue cardstock slightly larger than the shaker window, applied white paint over the 4×6 Stars Stencil with a dauber, then added a strip of glitter tall tree washi tape and two layers of snowbanks created from torn white cardstock. I traced the shape of the Mini Shaker Window on the panel, cut it out and adhered it to the back layer of the shaker. I always work from the bottom up when assembling shakers. I adhered the next two chipboard forms, then the acrylic layer (protective film removed), added white seed beads, and then adhered the top chipboard form which I colored with an alcohol marker.

I adhered a narrow strip of brown cardstock around the outside edge of the shaker to conceal the chipboard layers prior to adhering it to the card base. I adhered two die cut cats in front of the window, a vertical computer-generated sentiment down the left side and a very thin white cardstock strip down the right side to complete the card front.

I cut the inside panel from white cardstock and embellished it with the patterned paper used on the front as well as a narrow strip of brown cardstock. Since this is a note card, I left the panel blank leaving plenty of room for a handwritten note, and layered it on brown cardstock.

And one more look… really loving how this shaker note card turned out! This was a fun little scene to create!
