hello

Hey everybody! Happy Saturday – I hope you have something fun planned this weekend! I’m back this morning with one more awesome ScrapbookingStore DT inspiration project to share created with the awesome January 2024 Scrapbook Kit with Upgrades! I’m absolutely enamored with the papers in this month’s collection and I’ve made another cool fun fold. This one is a 3D window card which features a floral and a geometric print along with a journaling card and stickers from the sticker sheet. My inspiration once again has come from Lisa Curcio’s blog. I took a few minutes a couple weeks ago to look around her blog and came away with quite a few ideas for some new fun folds! She’s amazing!

The card base was cut from CutCardStock Lessebo Sunflower Yellow cardstock along with layering panels from two coordinating prints in the kit. An oval aperture was die cut into the front layer using a Keep It Simple Stitched Ovals Nested Die.

The focal element seen in the center of the aperture was cut from a journaling card in the collection and embellished with stickers from the sticker sheet. I added a back panel which I embellished with a strip of paper along with butterfly and sentiment stickers from the sticker sheet.

Hi everybody, Happy Thursday! The weekend is almost here! I have a very cool ScrapbookingStore DT inspiration project to share with you today created with the awesome January 2024 Scrapbook Kit with Upgrades! I’ve been having the time of my life playing with all the goodies in this month’s collection. You know how much I love me some fun folds (and I love purple) so I created a pop out accordion card featuring papers and stickers in the collection along with die cut pieces from the upgrades… all in purple! My inspiration for this card also came from Lisa Curcio’s blog. She’s one talented lady and I get SO much inspiration when I visit!

The card base was cut from CutCardStock Lessebo Lilac cardstock. Layering panels were cut from CutCardStock Lessebo Lilac and Cougar Smooth White cardstock along with coordinating patterned papers in the collection. A sentiment sticker from the sticker sheet was added to the front along with floral die cut pieces from the upgrades.

The finishing touches were adding a couple Eyelet Outlet Mini Butterfly Brads and a few yellow gemstones from my stash.

A large die cut from the upgrades was adhered to the front on 3D foam squares along with a sentiment sticker and several Keep It Simple Back To Basics Rose Enamel Dots. Stickers from the sticker sheet were added to the pop up panel on the inside.

‘You’re Awesome!’ Matchbook

Hey everybody! Can you believe we’re into the middle of January already?! Dang, where is the time going?! You know how much I love the Art Impressions Matchbook line, and I’ve been playing with the Office Matchbook stamps and dies and created this adorable little scene to enter in the Art Impressions current Clean Slate: #366 – Anything Goes challenge! I’m so excited to be sharing another one of these amazing little masterpieces!

Using the Art Impressions Matchbook Template die, I cut the base from a Polly’s Paper Studio double-sided paper. I’ve created quite a few Matchbooks and I’ve used Polly’s Paper Studios papers for all but one. I don’t know why, but I always reach for her papers for the bases. I stamped all the elements in the Art Impressions Office Matchbook stamp set in Memento Tuxedo Black ink on Neenah Classic Crest 80# Solar White cardstock and cut them with the coordinating Art Impressions Office Matchbook dies. I colored them with alcohol markers and then assembled the Matchbook. So stinkin’ cute!

Here are several more angled shots and one with the teeny tiny envelope. ;)

Scrappy hugs,

High Five! To Jesus

Hey everybody! Happy Monday – the weeks sure roll by fast these days and the weekends seem to be a blur! I’m up on the Pajama Crafter Stamps blog today with an inspiration project featuring the super adorable High Five stamp set from our new release! What makes this set so special – besides being all about cats (hehehe) – is the fact that the images with the paw up the in the air are modeled after Joy’s own cats who do that while they are watching the online Sunday services! I just love that! As you know, the front step card is one of my all-time favorite fun folds so that’s the direction I went with this colorful project!

The card base was cut from CutCardStock Cougar Smooth White cardstock along with layering panels from coordinating patterned papers in the the Keep It Simple Max & Daisy Collection Pack. I stamped the kitty and sentiment from the High Five stamp set in Memento Tuxedo Black ink on Cougar White cardstock, did some super basic coloring of the image with alcohol markers, and fussy cut them. To complete the front, I added some hearts from the Keep It Simple Max & Daisy Enamel Shapes.

I cut the back panel from Cougar White, embellished it with a leftover strip of the multicolor stripe pattern in the Max & Daisy Collection, and layered it on CutCardStock Lessebo Navy Blue cardstock. I stamped paw prints in the lower right corner but otherwise left the panel blank to write a custom message.

Scrappy hugs,

Hoping all your birthday fishes come true

Hey everybody! Well, another weekend has come and gone, and here we are officially in the middle of January! I’m delighted to share that one of my projects scored both Stand Out and Top 5 Creation honors over at Scrapping4fun Challenges a few weeks back, so I was invited by the lovely Rachelle to guest design in Challenge #231. The theme of this challenge is to Add Turtles or Fish, so I pulled out some Carta Bella beachy papers and stickers along with an adorable flatback resin fish from Buttons Galore & More to create this double diamond fold! I was inspired by the cards Lisa Curcio showcased on her blog using this fold and I love how mine turned out. I’m sure I’ll be making this again!

I cut the card base from CutCardStock Lessebo White and the layering panels from Lessebo Sunset Orange and Carta Bella Beach Party Collection Kit. I stamped the sentiment from the Stampin’ Up Whale Done stamp set in Memento Tuxedo Black ink on the center panel and added a couple shell stickers. Next, I added a fish from the Buttons Galore & More Aquarium Flatbackz Embellishments, and the finishing touch was adding iridescent and yellow gemstones.

Here’s an angled shot showing the construction, and the best part is this card folds flat for mailing!

Scrappy hugs,

Sending Hugs & Kisses

Hey everybody, Happy Tuesday! It’s been snowing on and off for a couple days here and we have about a foot on the ground with lots of drifts because it has been pretty windy, too. Definitely good days to stay inside and craft! I’m thrilled to share a Keep It Simple DT inspiration project created with the new Sent With Love Collection! This collection was just released two days ago and it’s plum full of gorgeous papers, stamps, dies, die cut pieces, and stencils! There are ribbons and enamel shapes already in the store that coordinate very nicely with this collection, AND there are new shaker bits!

I created a rotating center circle fun fold featuring papers and die cut pieces from this new collection, and I totally love how it turned out! My inspiration came from Purple_Girl_Crafts on You Tube and her video for this one is HERE. So fun! If you like the Keep It Simple products I’ve used and are inclined to shop, be sure to use my discount code LoveToScrap2 at checkout to save 10% on your entire order! There is no minimum purchase requirement and no usage limits, plus the code combines with product, order, and shipping discounts!

The square card base was cut from CutCardStock Lessebo Cherry cardstock. I used coordinating papers from the 6×9 Collection Pack for the layering panels and rotating circle mechanism, and added die cuts from the Sent With Love Die Cut Pieces to the center of the circle. Since the star of the show is on the inside, I added a back panel which I embellished with a strip from another coordinating paper and a die cut sentiment.

Here’s a short video showing the card opening and closing! I’m so enamored with this fold, I can’t stand it! ;)

Scrappy hugs,

Your Special Day

Hey everybody! I’m back for a second time on this fine last Sunday of 2023 with one more inspiration project for Prickley Pear Stamps! This building block card features the super adorable Hello Jack stamps along with the Kokopelli – Happy Birthday stamps and the Rainbow Dreams stamps. My inspiration for this fun fold came from an older Splitcoast Stampers tutorial HERE. Another one I’ve had in my arsenal for a while and I’m not sure why I haven’t tried it until now, lol! Oh, and don’t forget the Hello Lily and Hello Jack stamps and dies are on sale at Prickley Pear Stamps (up to 50% off) and the sale has been extended through January 1st at 11:59 PM! Get ’em while you can!

I used Neenah Classic Crest Solar White cardstock for the card base and several coordinating prints from an oldie-but-goodie Recollections Bold Basics paper pad for the layering panels. I used the Rainbow Dreams stamp set for the clouds, and all three sentiments are from the Kokopelli – Happy Birthday stamp set. The clouds, Jack and the grass washi tape are adhered to an acetate panel which I popped up on foam strips for a little interest.

I used American Crafts Newsprint Thickers alphas for the LOVE YOU! sentiment on the building blocks, and stamped the other sentiments on the left and right sides. I really love how this turned out!

Happy Birthday fun fold

Hey everybody! I hope you’re having a GREAT last weekend of 2023! Are you going to stay up to see the ball drop at midnight?! We haven’t seen that ball in several years, lol! I’ve popped in this morning with a DT inspiration project for Prickley Pear Stamps featuring the super adorable Hello Lily stamps and dies! I also used sentiments from the Flourished Oval – Spring stamps. You know me and fun folds… this version of the double flap fun fold is one of my favorites! The Hello Lily and Hello Jack stamps and dies are on sale at Prickley Pear Stamps (up to 50% off) and the sale has been extended through January 1st at 11:59 PM! Get ’em while you can!

I used Neenah Classic Crest Solar White for the card base layers, Lily and the inside sentiment. The pretty patterned papers are from the Asuka Studio 6×6 Dusty Rose Collection Pack. Lily’s dress and hair bow were stamped on a paper in the Keep It Simple Royal 12×12 Collection Pack and I used two ephemera hearts (from the same Royal Collection) on the second flap. The finishing touch on the front was adding several Eyelet Outlet ivory pearls.

The sentiments on the second flap and inside are from the Flourished Oval – Spring stamps. The inside sentiment was cut with a Keep It Simple Stitched Ovals Nested Die.

Scrappy hugs,

fishing you a happy day

Hi friends, Happy Friday! It’s so surreal to be staring the end of 2023 right square in the eyes… it’ll be history in a couple days! I’m excited to share a Keep It Simple DT inspiration project with you created with the new Penguin Party Collection! OMGoodness, talk about cuteness overload! This accordion center panel card features papers, stamps and dies from this adorable collection. This is a great fun fold that is really easy despite it’s complex look – it’s the second one I’ve made and I see more of these in my future for sure!

The card base and folded center panel were cut from CutCardStock Lessebo Arctic Blue and Lessebo Aubergine cardstock and embellished with papers from the 12×12 Collection Pack. I created a scene on the folded center panel with stamped images from the Igloo Stamps that I colored with alcohol markers and cut with the coordinating Igloo Outline Dies. I added a sentiment stamped from the same stamp set and cut with the same outline dies. The finishing touch was adding corners from the Lilac 12×12 Collection Pack ephemera to the bottom of the innermost narrow panels for a little interest.

I cut the inside panel of the center folded element from CutCardStock Lessebo White cardstock and embellished it with a strip of the paper used on the front. I stamped a sentiment from the Penguins Stamps which completed the card.
