Floral Mini Album

Hi friends! Happy Tuesday to you all! I hope you are having a great week so far! Our new challenge is live this morning over at Love To Scrap Challenge Blog and I’m super stoked to share my DT inspiration project for LTSCB #158 – Anything Goes! You know how I love me some mini albums, and I created this pretty floral one using the Sizzix Bigz Mini Album and Sizzix Mini Album Thinlits. As I always say with projects like this – the assembly is the most fun part! ;)

I die cut the album and pages from STAMPlorations Spring Florals A2 Card Fronts and Darice Dots and Stripes cardstock. Using a variety of Sizzix and CUTplorations dies, I die cut elements from Solar White cardstock, CutCardStock Stardream Metallic Amethyst cardstock, CutCardStock Basis Dark Purple cardstock and Darice Dots and Stripes cardstock to embellish the pages. Several of the pages inside have pull-up tags. I added an arrow and gemstones to the front which completed the album.

And one more overhead angled peek… I sure do love how this turned out! There is plenty of room for photos and journaling!

Scrappy hugs,

Happy Birthday Cake Card

Hey, peeps! How’s the weather where you are… is it just a bit chilly, lol?! It is here and that’s how we like it! Our new challenge is live this morning over at Love To Craft Challenge Blog and I’m excited to share my DT inspiration project for LTCCB #71 – Anything Goes! I created a super cute fun fold birthday card using the Simply Crafty SVGs Birthday Cake Card cut file that I cut with my Scan N Cut. Back in January of this year I learned how to print sentiments using the draw function on my Scan N Cut, and have really enjoyed doing that on a few cards!

I cut the card base from CutCardStock Raspberry Ice cardstock, the cake elements from The Paper Studio Four Seasons and Everything In Between -2- paper pad, the candle elements from CutCardStock Basis Gold and CutCardStock Basis Aqua, and the front and inside sentiment banners from Neenah Classic Crest 80# Solar White which I printed using the draw function on my Scan N Cut prior to cutting them. As I assembled the card, I ran the candle through the Big Shot with the Cuttlebug Candy Cane Stripes Embossing Folder for a little texture and used some Sakura Clear Star shimmer on the flame.

Here are a couple shots showing how the card opens.

And one more look… this was definitely a fun one and very birthday-themed with the fun pastel colors! I think it would be a great cut file to use for a wedding-themed card as well, so stay tuned! ;)

Scrappy hugs,

Joys of the Season ATC

Hi everybody! I hope you had a nice weekend and your week has started off nicely! Are you in the Christmas spirit yet?! I’m always in the Christmas spirit, lol! Our new challenge is live this morning over at Mix It Up Challenge Blog and I’m delighted to share my DT inspiration project for MIUCB #62 – Anything Goes + optional Open Technique! Use whatever technique you’d like to use on your projects this time but please mention in your blog post what technique you employed! And as always, the optional technique is not required to play in our challenges. I created a festive Christmas ATC using the holly design from the STAMPlorations Christmas Backgrounds ATC #2 employing the emboss resist technique.

I trimmed the holly design from the STAMPlorations Christmas Backgrounds ATC #2 which was part of a Paper Goods Sampler that Shery tucked into one of my past orders. Using the STAMPlorations Typografia Christmas Joys of the Season stamp and Versamark, I stamped the sentiment in the center of the ATC and heat embossed it with Hero Arts clear embossing powder. Using a Ranger mini ink blending tool and Ranger bundled sage distress ink, I lightly inked the surface of the entire ATC and then wiped it with a clean paper towel to remove any excess ink. This revealed a nicely ‘ghosted’ stamped impression. The final touch was running a Posca Gold Paint Pen loosely around the edges of the ATC for a little interest.

And one more look… such a fun technique that typically yields a great result! I thoroughly enjoyed this challenge! ;)

Scrappy hugs,

Surfin’ Santa with a ho ho ho

Hi friends! Happy Tuesday to you! Since it’s the first day of November, it’s busy here on my blog this morning, lol! Another one of my projects was in the Top 3 at Scrapping4fun Challenges several weeks ago and I was invited to guest for Challenge #218 – Summer/Winter, so here I am! I featured both Summer AND Winter in my DT inspiration project and just love how it turned out! You know I’m a huge fan of box cards, so I used the Surfing Santa Card cut file from Simply Crafty SVGs!

I cut the card base from Cardstock Warehouse Brown Box 100# Kraft cardstock, and the rest of the pieces from CutCardStock Pop Tone Black Licorice, Pop Tone Hot Fudge, Pop Tone Jellybean Green, Pop Tone Sweet Tooth, Pop Tone Wild Cherry, and Sandcastle cardstock, along with Hot Off The Press Seascapes & Sand 6×6 double-sided cardstock and Brutus Monroe blue glitter cardstock. I always say the most fun part is the assembly, and this one was no different! I love watching them come to life!

Here is a shot of the back showing the panel to write a custom message and signature and an angled side shot showing the construction. Box cards are so much fun!

Scrappy hugs,

Mason Jar Treat Box

Hey everybody! A very Happy Saturday to you! I’m stoked to be back on the Eyelet Outlet blog today as a guest designer with another fun inspiration project! I had a large time playing with my Scan N Cut (as I always did) before the touch screen malfunctioned, and created a mason jar treat box featuring the Santa & Deer Brads along with a sentiment flag created from the Christmas Holly Washi Tape! OMGoodness, I’m so smitten – I LOVE treat boxes!

I cut the pieces from Neenah Classic Linen 100# Solar White, CutCardStock Pop Tone Wild Cherry, and CutCardStock Bright Silver Foil cardstock, assembled the mason jar, and tied green twine around the top.

I applied a strip of Christmas Holly Washi Tape to a scrap piece of 80# Solar White Linen, cut it into a flag, and adhered it to the front of the mason jar. I decided it needed some green, so I adhered very narrow strips of Basis Green around the edges of the flag. I then die cut an oval from 100# Solar White Linen cardstock using the Cottage Cutz Double-Stitched Oval die, added Santa & Deer Brads, and adhered it to the top of the flag with Scrapbook Adhesive 3D Foam Squares.

Here’s one more angled shot. So cute! Wouldn’t it be fun to make several of these for a Christmas dinner table filled with treats?!

Scrappy hugs,

Hi friends! Happy Friday! I hope you’ve had an awesome week and have something fun planned this weekend! Today is Day 5 of the 2022 Cat Lovers Hop and this is my last project to share! This has been a totally FUN week and I’m so glad I participated again this year! The Hop is going on until tomorrow (the 29th) which is the last day to link up projects, but there will be a few extra days left open for participants to finish commenting, so be sure to come over and join us! A huge shout-out to Janis for organizing another successful Hop – I can’t wait until next year’s! And to all of those who participated this year, good luck in all the prize draws!

I used the Cat Condo and Peekaboo Cat SVG files from the Purrr-fect Pals Cat SVG Bundle and a beautiful plaid digital paper from the Autumn Harvest SVG Digital Scrap Kit (both from Printable Cuttable Creatables) to create this adorable mini slimline friendship card. I totally love everything in both the bundle and scrap kit, and highly recommend both!

I printed the plaid digital paper from Printable Cuttable Creatables on CutCardStock Basis 80# White cardstock and trimmed it. I cut a 3-1/2″ x 6″ mini slimline card base from CutCardStock Basis 110# White and adhered the digital paper to the front. I cut the pieces for the super cute cat condo and peekaboo cat from CutCardStock Basis 110# White, Basis 80# White, Basis Light Brown, Basis Brown, Basis Gray, Basis Pink and Basis Light Lime cardstock, and assembled them on the card front. I stamped the ‘meow’ speech bubble in Memento Rich Cocoa ink from the Hero Arts Purr stamp set and cut it with the coordinating die. I added several gemstones from an Eyelet Outlet 3mm brown Jewel Bling Strip which completed the card front.

I cut the inside panel from CutCardStock Basis 80# White cardstock and embellished it with a wide strip of the Printable Cuttable Creatables plaid digital paper used on the front and a narrow strip of Basis Brown cardstock. I adhered a sentiment from the Hero Arts Purr stamp set stamped in Memento Rich Cocoa ink and cut with a Cottage Cutz Double-Stitched Ovals die.

Scrappy hugs,

I’m here to decorate your house

Hi everyone! Happy Friday – I hope you’ve had a great week and you’re looking forward to doing something fun this weekend! I have an awesome Tape Runner DT inspiration project to share with you today. I’ve been in a ‘clean and simple’ mode and this Halloween card features the spider from Creepy Halloween, another stamp set from The Project Bin. That hilarious spider is the star of the show and the punched sentiment circles are the only layers on this card, and they were adhered with Tape Runner. This would be a great card to mass produce if you send out a lot of Halloween cards!

I cut a standard A2 size top folding card base from 110# Solar White cardstock, and stamped the spider in the bottom right corner. I stamped the sentiment on a scrap piece of Solar White cardstock and punched it with a 1-1/2″ Fiskars circle punch. I punched an additional circle from a CutCardStock Basis Orange cardstock scrap with a 1-3/4″ Stampin’ Up circle punch and adhered it beneath the sentiment circle and then to the card base. The finishing touch was the addition of several gemstones from an Eyelet Outlet 4mm Orange Jewel Bling Strip.

The inside was super simple as well, consisting of a strip cut from CutCardStock Basis Orange cardstock and a sentiment (from the same stamp set) stamped in Memento Tuxedo Black ink.

Spare the Holiday Cheer

Hi friends! A big ol’ Happy Thursday to you! Today is Day 4 of the 2022 Cat Lovers Hop and I have another fun cat-themed project to share! Remember, the Hop is going on until the 29th, so if you’re a fellow cat lover, come join us! This is my fourth year participating and it’s something I look forward to every year! There’s a lot of fun and games to join in every day, and Janis has lined up some outstanding sponsors with outstanding prizes to give away at the end!

I don’t use very many digital stamps these days but I remembered I had several digital stamp sets from The Cat’s Pajamas and thought this one would be perfect to use to create a card for the Hop! That sentiment just cracks me up because it’s SO cat!

I printed the image and front/inside sentiments on CutCardStock Basis 80# White cardstock, trimmed them, and colored the image with alcohol markers. I cut a standard A2 size side-folding card base from CutCardStock Basis 110# White cardstock along with layering panels from Sunny Studio Polka-Dot Parade 6×6 cardstock and CutCardStock Curious Metallic Gold Leaf cardstock. I adhered the sentiment to the bottom of the focal panel with Darice Adhesive Foam Strips. The finishing touch was adding several pearls from an Eyelet Outlet green Pearl Bling Strip.

I cut the inside panel from 80# Solar White cardstock and embellished it with strips of Sunny Studio Polka-Dot Parade and CutCardStock Curious Metallic Gold Leaf cardstock. I adhered the sentiment to the panel and then adhered the panel to a gold leaf cardstock layer.

What’s the Word, Bird???

Howdy peeps! Yikes, it’s the last Wednesday in October and Christmas is going to be here in the blink of an eye! I’m delighted to be back with one more guest design project for InkyStamper and am kinda sad to see it come to an end! I’ve had a grand time playing with their stamps and dies! I created this double flap card with the super cute Bird stamps and die in various blue patterns from the Doodlebug Design Buffalo Check-Wood Grain, Gingham-Linen, and Floral-Graph Rainbow Petite Prints. This is such a fun fold and I’m thrilled with how it turned out!

I cut the card base from 110# Solar White cardstock and the left and right flaps from 80# Solar White along with layering panels from CutCardStock Basis Blue cardstock. Next, I cut panels from a variety of patterns in the Doodlebug Design Buffalo Check-Wood Grain, Gingham-Linen, and Floral-Graph Rainbow Petite Prints cardstock pads. I stamped the bird and bell in Memento Tuxedo Black ink on 110# Solar White cardstock, stamped again in Versamark, and heat embossed them with Hero Arts Clear Embossing Powder. I colored them with alcohol markers and cut them with the coordinating dies.

I stamped a sentiment and ladder on the middle panel, and two more sentiments on the back panel.

Scrappy hugs,

Happy New Home!

Hi friends! It’s Hump Day and I hope you’re having a fabulous week! It’s Day 3 of the 2022 Cat Lovers Hop and I’ve popped in this morning with fun mini slimline pet rescue card! The Hop is going on until the 29th, so if you’re a fellow cat lover, come join us! There’s a lot of fun and games to join in every day, and Janis has lined up some pretty amazing prizes to give away at the end!

It’s always fun to give a card to someone who has opened their heart to give a rescue a home, regardless of the species. This one just happens to be for a cat and I’ve used the adorable Prickley Pear Stamps Slimline Hanging Plants stamp set to create a little scene with a feline who looks mighty happy to have been re-homed. ;)

I cut a 3-1/2″ x 6″ mini slimline card base from Neenah Classic Crest 110# Solar White cardstock along with a layering panel from 80# Solar White, and rounded the bottom right corner of each. I dry embossed the layering panel using Catherine Pooler Twilight ink on the Tim Holtz Alterations Texture Fades-Bricked Embossing Folder to create the brick wall. I stamped the kitty and hanging basket in Memento Tuxedo Black ink on Solar White cardstock and colored them with alcohol markers. I fussy cut the kitty and die cut the basket with the coordinating die, and set them aside. I paper pieced the stone walkway with CutCardStock Basis Gray and Shadow Gray cardstock before adhering the kitty. I stamped the sentiment from the Paper Smooches Charmed Cat 2 stamp set in Catherine Pooler Midnight ink on a scrap piece of Solar White cardstock, trimmed it and added a hand-drawn line with a Copic black 0.3 multi-liner pen.

I cut the inside panel from Neenah Classic Crest 80# Solar White cardstock and embellished it with a strip of CutCardStock Basis Gray cardstock. I stamped the sentiment and paw print (from the Paper Smooches Charmed Cat 2 stamp set) in Catherine Pooler Midnight ink and layered the panel on Basis Gray cardstock.
