Kimono Thank You Card

Hi friends! Happy Fri-YAY! What I want to know is how did it get to be November 1st and where did this year go?! Our new challenge is live this morning over at Love To Scrap Challenge Blog and I’m thrilled to share my DT inspiration project for LTSCB #170 – Anything Goes! As you know, I get a lot of my inspiration from Splitcoast Stampers and this adorable kimono card was showcased in one of their newsletters a while back HERE. I came across it in my search for something else and decided to make one!

I cut the card base from a pretty double-sided patterned paper in the Stampin’ Up Daffodil Afternoon DSP pack. I added teal ribbon from the Stampin’ Up Best Day Ever Ribbon to the belt.

I created the little top-folding card on the inside from CutCardStock Basis 80# Natural cardstock and embellished it with a scrap of DSP used on the front. I stamped front and inside sentiments from the Stampin’ Up Charming Sentiments stamp set in Catherine Pooler Spruce ink and cut them with the coordinating Stampin’ Up Sentiment Silhouettes dies. I embellished the little card with a Keep It Simple Max and Daisy Puffy Sticker Button.

The Sun & Moon Inchie Album

Hi friends! Happy Sunday – I hope you’re having a fabulous weekend! Our new challenge is live this morning over at Love To Scrap Challenge Blog and I’m super stoked to share my DT inspiration project for LTSCB #169 – Anything Goes! You may remember that I started making and collecting inchie albums last year along with my ATCs. I created a celestial-themed mini book for this challenge using the Gecko Galz Moon & Sun Inchies, and I love how it turned out!

I typed the book title on my laptop, trimmed it and ran a blue Tombow marker around the edges. I made the mini book from CutCardStock Basis 80# White 12×12 cardstock and covered it with sapphire and gold foiled paper from the Rinea Peacock Variety Pack. I printed the Gecko Galz Moon & Sun Inchies on Basis 80# White cardstock, punched the images with an EK Success 1″ square punch, and adhered one to each page.

Home Is Where The Heart Is

Hey everybody! Happy Monday! How did it get to be July 1st already?! LOL! Our new challenge has launched this morning over at Love To Scrap Challenge Blog and I’m super stoked to share my DT inspiration project for LTSCB #168 – Anything Goes! I created a family-themed slimline size step card using my own template HERE.

I cut the card base from CutCardStock Basis 80# White cardstock along with layering panels and embellishing strips from coordinating papers in the Keep It Simple Namaste Collection Pack. I die cut the sentiment from a journaling card in the collection using a Keep It Simple Stitched Ovals Nested Die. I added a couple hearts from the Keep It Simple Clementine Enamel Shapes as well as several pearls from the Clementine Pearls which completed the card front.

I cut the back panel from CutCardStock Basis White cardstock and embellished it with a strip cut from a patterned paper in the Keep It Simple Namaste Collection. I added a sentiment cut from a journaling card in the same collection, and layered the panel on Papertrey Inc. Chartreuse cardstock.

Love You Mama Bear

Hey everybody! Happy Wednesday – I hope you’re having a great week! Our new challenge is live this morning over at Love To Scrap Challenge Blog and I’m excited to share my DT inspiration project for LTSCB #167 – Anything Goes! The inside of this Mother’s Day card was one of the first projects I made with my Cricut Explore Air 2, and I instantly fell in love with it! I embellished the front with items in my stash.

The Mama Bear SVG cut file was an introduction to cutting and printing in Cricut Design Space, which I really needed when my new machine arrived last Fall. I used CutCardStock Pop Tone Sno Cone cardstock for the base, a patterned paper from the Keep It Simple Snow Day 12×12 Collection Pack for the background, Desert Storm for the folded insert, and Pop Tone Red Hot for the hearts.

The machine printed the sentiment with an 0.4 black pen which very cool. I ended up cutting the folded insert a second time from Pop Tone Hot Fudge and used just the bears which I adhered to the front of those on the Desert Storm folded insert. I embellished the bottom left corner with a bear paw die cut from the Keep It Simple Lumberjack Cards & Ephemera Die Cut Pieces.

I adhered a strip cut from a patterned paper in the Keep It Simple Snow Day 12×12 Collection Pack to a piece of CutCardStock Desert Storm cardstock. I used the STAMPlorations Crazy Double Running Stitch Nesting Dies to cut a background panel for the card front. I stamped HAPPY from the Lawn Fawn Happy Happy Happy Add On stamps in Memento Tuxedo Black ink on a scrap piece of Desert Storm cardstock and cut it with the coordinating die.

I stamped the rest of the sentiment from the same stamp set in black ink and added another bear paw die cut from the Keep It Simple Lumberjack Cards & Ephemera Die Cut Pieces.

Luck O’ the Irish

Hey everybody, Happy Friday! I hope you’ve had a great week and you’re looking forward to doing something fun this weekend! Our new challenge is live this morning over at Love To Scrap Challenge Blog and I’m delighted to share my DT inspiration project for LTSCB #166 – Anything Goes! I created a very cool hybrid St. Patrick’s Day card. Green is my all-time favorite color, and I have quite a few super awesome digital images from The Hungry JPEG and some great Hero Arts sentiment stamps, so it didn’t take me long to figure out what to make – just in time for St. Patty’s Day!

I cut a square side-folding card base from CutCardStock Mantis Green cardstock. I printed the green beer image and sentiment from The Hungry JPEG Lucky Charmers Collection on CutCardStock Royal Sundance Ivory Linen cardstock. I trimmed the image down to a square size and punched the sentiment with a circle punch. I cut a square panel and punched a slightly large circle from CutCardStock Bright Gold Foil cardstock, and layered the image and sentiment. The finishing touch was adding several gemstones from the Trinity Stamps Andradite Sparkle Embellishment Mix with my Trinity Pick Up Stick.

I cut the inside panel from Neenah Classic Crest Baronial Ivory and embellished it with leftover strips of CutCardStock Mantis Green and Royal Sundance Ivory linen cardstock. I stamped a rather humorous sentiment from the Hero Arts Irreverent Birthday Messages stamp set in Catherine Pooler Lime Rickey ink.

I Ruff You Post-It Note Easel

Hi friends! Happy New Year! I hope you have a wonderful and relaxing day! Our new challenge is live this morning over at Love To Scrap Challenge Blog and I’m super stoked to share my DT inspiration project for LTSCB #165 – Anything Goes! I created a pup-themed post-it note easel using items in the Keep It Simple Max and Daisy Collection. This project is both adorable AND practical! I love it when that happens! The Max and Daisy Collection is on clearance and has been deeply discounted. If you are inclined to go shopping, be sure to use my discount code LoveToScrap2 at checkout to save 10% on your entire order! There is no minimum purchase requirement and no usage limits, plus the code combines with product, order, and shipping discounts!

I cut the easel base from Neenah Classic Crest 110# Solar White cardstock along with layering panels from a striped print in the Keep It Simple Max and Daisy Flip Sides Pack. I added Eyelet Outlet grass washi tape to the bottom of the easel panel. I stamped the pup, house and hydrant from the Puppy Stamps in Memento Tuxedo Black ink on Solar White cardstock. I colored the pup and house with alcohol markers, and then fussy cut all three images. I stamped the sentiment on a coordinating print in the Flip Sides Pack, cut it with a Keep It Simple Stitched Circles Nested Die, and added a paw print enamel sticker.

Here’s a shot of the easel folded flat for mailing.

Everything’s Coming Up Carrots

Hi friends! Happy Hump Day – I hope you’re having a great week! I know… it’s a very busy morning on my blog! Our new challenge is live this morning over at Love To Scrap Challenge Blog and I’m super excited to share my DT inspiration project for LTSCB #164 – Anything Goes! I created a super cute thank you card created with a Stampin’ Up stamp set that I’ve had a little while but haven’t had a chance to use yet, and I love how it turned out!

I cut a standard A2 size side-folding card base from Neenah Classic Crest 110# Solar White cardstock. I stamped the carrot images from the Stampin’ Up Thanks A Bunch stamp set in Memento Tangelo, Potter’s Clay, New Sprout, Bamboo Leaves and Olive Grove inks directly on the card front. I stamped the sentiment on a Solar White scrap in Potter’s Clay ink, cut it with a Spellbinders Classic Ovals Small die, and adhered it to the card front with a 1″ double-sided foam strip. The finishing touch was adding several gemstones from the Trinity Stamps Topaz Twinkle Embellishment Mix.

I stamped the inside sentiment and small bunch of carrots from the same stamp set in Tangelo, Potter’s Clay, New Sprout and Bamboo Leaves inks. It’s almost a one-layer card! ;)

Love you tons

Hey everybody! I’m back with another post on this busy September 1st morning! Our new challenge is live this morning over at Love To Scrap Challenge Blog and I’m delighted to share my DT inspiration project for LTSCB #163 – Anything Goes! I’ve had this adorable Lawn Fawn stamp and die set in my stash for quite some time and have never used them, so out they came for a play! I created a super cute birthday card in a green and pink color combo (one of my favs)!

I cut a standard A2 size side-folding card base from Neenah Classic Crest 110# Solar White cardstock along with layering panels from green and pink prints in the Hot Off The Press Sweet Pea 6×6 double-sided paper pack. I stamped the elephants from the Lawn Fawn Love You Tons stamp set on a scrap of Solar White cardstock and colored them with alcohol markers.

I stamped the sentiment from the same stamp set in Memento Tuxedo Black ink. I added a strip of Eyelet Outlet skinny XOXO washi tape along with buttons from the Buttons Galore & More Pink Grapefruit Buttons and some tiny hearts from the Buttons Galore & More Daydreams Mix Upz Embellishments.

I cut the inside panel from 80# Solar White cardstock, embellished it with the pink and green prints used on the front, and layered it on CutCardStock Mantis Green cardstock. I stamped a sentiment from the Keep It Simple Birthday Sentiments stamp set in Tuxedo Black ink and colored the word ‘ENJOY’ with a Kirarina Wink Lime Green marker.

Hey everybody! Today is definitely a busy day on my blog with all the new challenges launching this morning and I hope you will come join in on some (or all) of them! This inspiration project is for our new challenge over at Love To Scrap Challenge Blog, and is a pinwheel twist card for LTSCB #162 – Anything Goes! I used my Scan N Cut, a cut file and some pretty patterned paper from Hot Off The Press. I’ve made several of these 4-sided pinwheel twist cards using a cut file but have also learned to make them by hand-cutting the card base and panels (even a 6-sided one), and either way, they are fun and easy to put together!

Using my Scan N Cut and just the base pieces from My Scrap Chick’s Haunted House Pinwheel Twist Card cut file, I cut the card base and panels from CutCardStock Basis 80# White cardstock and coordinating patterned papers from Hot Off The Press Sunflowers 6×6 papers. I assembled the card, adding ephemera from the paper pack layered on CutCardStock Basis Brown and Curious Metallic Gold Leaf to three sides and an 80# Solar White panel to the fourth side for a handwritten message and/or signature.

Scrappy hugs,

happy place note card

Hey everybody! Happy Monday – I hope you had a great weekend! Our new challenge is live over at Love To Scrap Challenge Blog and I’m thrilled to share my project for LTSCB #161 – Anything Goes! I created a mini slimline note card featuring a tiny globe from the Sizzix Tiny Travel Globe Thinlits. I love all of them in this set! And who wouldn’t love being on this island?! I know I would… definitely my happy place!

I cut a mini slimline card base measuring 3-1/2″ x 6″ from Neenah Classic Crest 110# Solar White cardstock along with a background panel cut from CutCardStock Pop Tone Jellybean Green cardstock using a Kat Scrappiness Mini Slimline Postage Stamp Edge Die. I die cut all the tiny globe pieces from 80# Solar White cardstock, colored them with alcohol markers, and assembled and adhered the globe in the right lower corner of the card front. The die cut part of the sentiment was created with a Sizzix Script Celebration Words die (cut from Solar White cardstock), and the stamped part was created with a fussy-cut word from one of the sentiments in the Prickley Pear Stamps Frog Pals Spinach and Ramona stamp set. I finished the front with several Eyelet Outlet brown pearls.

I cut the inside panel from 80# Solar White cardstock, adhered it to a postage stamp edge die cut like the one on the front, and embellished it with a leftover negative space strip. Since this is a note card, I left the inside blank to write a custom message.
