hello

Hey everybody! Happy Saturday – I hope you have something fun planned this weekend! I’m back this morning with one more awesome ScrapbookingStore DT inspiration project to share created with the awesome January 2024 Scrapbook Kit with Upgrades! I’m absolutely enamored with the papers in this month’s collection and I’ve made another cool fun fold. This one is a 3D window card which features a floral and a geometric print along with a journaling card and stickers from the sticker sheet. My inspiration once again has come from Lisa Curcio’s blog. I took a few minutes a couple weeks ago to look around her blog and came away with quite a few ideas for some new fun folds! She’s amazing!

The card base was cut from CutCardStock Lessebo Sunflower Yellow cardstock along with layering panels from two coordinating prints in the kit. An oval aperture was die cut into the front layer using a Keep It Simple Stitched Ovals Nested Die.

The focal element seen in the center of the aperture was cut from a journaling card in the collection and embellished with stickers from the sticker sheet. I added a back panel which I embellished with a strip of paper along with butterfly and sentiment stickers from the sticker sheet.

Howdy, peeps! Happy Happy Friday to you all! I have another amazing ScrapbookingStore DT inspiration project to share with you created with the awesome January 2024 Scrapbook Kit with Upgrades! I totally love geometric type patterned papers and those in this month’s kit are just awesome. I created a faux shutter card using a couple coordinating prints which I embellished with a chipboard accent piece from the upgrades. I’ve created a couple interactive shutter cards over the past few months and when I saw this faux shutter card on Pinterest, I wanted to give it a go. It’s also called a fractured card but I think I prefer faux shutter. Next one I make will have a smaller shutter area, but talk about easy-peasy!

I cut the card base from Cougar Smooth 100# White cardstock along with a layering panel and strips for the shutter design from coordinating papers in the collection. I adhered a chipboard accent from the upgrades to the center of the faux shutter area and added several Keep It Simple Back To Basics Rose Enamel Dots.

I embellished the inside panel with patterned paper and cardstock strips used on the front and added sentiment and lady bug stickers from the sticker sheet.

The card base was cut from CutCardStock Lessebo Lilac cardstock. Layering panels were cut from CutCardStock Lessebo Lilac and Cougar Smooth White cardstock along with coordinating patterned papers in the collection. A sentiment sticker from the sticker sheet was added to the front along with floral die cut pieces from the upgrades.

The finishing touches were adding a couple Eyelet Outlet Mini Butterfly Brads and a few yellow gemstones from my stash.

The Mini Jungle Book

Hey everybody, Happy Hump Day! I’ve popped in this morning to share a super cute jungle-themed mini book! I mentioned a while back that I have started making these little books with inchies for a new inchie album collection. They are so stinkin’ cute and fun to make, and this one fits perfectly into Challenge #216 – Safari over at Cardz 4 Galz! The inchies are from the Gecko Galz Safari Jewel It digital sheet.

I crafted the mini book base from CutCardStock Basis 80# White cardstock and covered it with a print from the American Crafts Animal Print 6×6 paper pad. I printed the Gecko Galz Safari Jewel It digital sheet on Basis White cardstock and punched the eight images I wanted to use with an EK Success 1″ square punch. The book name was computer-generated, trimmed and edged with a Tombow marker.

Scrappy hugs,

‘You’re Awesome!’ Matchbook

Hey everybody! Can you believe we’re into the middle of January already?! Dang, where is the time going?! You know how much I love the Art Impressions Matchbook line, and I’ve been playing with the Office Matchbook stamps and dies and created this adorable little scene to enter in the Art Impressions current Clean Slate: #366 – Anything Goes challenge! I’m so excited to be sharing another one of these amazing little masterpieces!

Using the Art Impressions Matchbook Template die, I cut the base from a Polly’s Paper Studio double-sided paper. I’ve created quite a few Matchbooks and I’ve used Polly’s Paper Studios papers for all but one. I don’t know why, but I always reach for her papers for the bases. I stamped all the elements in the Art Impressions Office Matchbook stamp set in Memento Tuxedo Black ink on Neenah Classic Crest 80# Solar White cardstock and cut them with the coordinating Art Impressions Office Matchbook dies. I colored them with alcohol markers and then assembled the Matchbook. So stinkin’ cute!

Here are several more angled shots and one with the teeny tiny envelope. ;)

Scrappy hugs,

High Five! To Jesus

Hey everybody! Happy Monday – the weeks sure roll by fast these days and the weekends seem to be a blur! I’m up on the Pajama Crafter Stamps blog today with an inspiration project featuring the super adorable High Five stamp set from our new release! What makes this set so special – besides being all about cats (hehehe) – is the fact that the images with the paw up the in the air are modeled after Joy’s own cats who do that while they are watching the online Sunday services! I just love that! As you know, the front step card is one of my all-time favorite fun folds so that’s the direction I went with this colorful project!

The card base was cut from CutCardStock Cougar Smooth White cardstock along with layering panels from coordinating patterned papers in the the Keep It Simple Max & Daisy Collection Pack. I stamped the kitty and sentiment from the High Five stamp set in Memento Tuxedo Black ink on Cougar White cardstock, did some super basic coloring of the image with alcohol markers, and fussy cut them. To complete the front, I added some hearts from the Keep It Simple Max & Daisy Enamel Shapes.

I cut the back panel from Cougar White, embellished it with a leftover strip of the multicolor stripe pattern in the Max & Daisy Collection, and layered it on CutCardStock Lessebo Navy Blue cardstock. I stamped paw prints in the lower right corner but otherwise left the panel blank to write a custom message.

Scrappy hugs,

Hoping all your birthday fishes come true

Hey everybody! Well, another weekend has come and gone, and here we are officially in the middle of January! I’m delighted to share that one of my projects scored both Stand Out and Top 5 Creation honors over at Scrapping4fun Challenges a few weeks back, so I was invited by the lovely Rachelle to guest design in Challenge #231. The theme of this challenge is to Add Turtles or Fish, so I pulled out some Carta Bella beachy papers and stickers along with an adorable flatback resin fish from Buttons Galore & More to create this double diamond fold! I was inspired by the cards Lisa Curcio showcased on her blog using this fold and I love how mine turned out. I’m sure I’ll be making this again!

I cut the card base from CutCardStock Lessebo White and the layering panels from Lessebo Sunset Orange and Carta Bella Beach Party Collection Kit. I stamped the sentiment from the Stampin’ Up Whale Done stamp set in Memento Tuxedo Black ink on the center panel and added a couple shell stickers. Next, I added a fish from the Buttons Galore & More Aquarium Flatbackz Embellishments, and the finishing touch was adding iridescent and yellow gemstones.

Here’s an angled shot showing the construction, and the best part is this card folds flat for mailing!

Hey everybody! Happy Hump Day – I hope you’re having a fantastic week so far! Our new challenge is live this morning over at Ally’s Angels and I’m thrilled to share my DT inspiration project for Challenge #78! I made an adorable adventure-themed slimline using papers, ephemera, stamps and enamel dots from the Keep It Simple Hello Adventure Collection! My 3-3/4″ x 9″ size slimline card base was cut from Neenah Classic Crest 80# Solar White cardstock along with a layering panel and a die cut panel (using the Keep It Simple Wavy Slimline Die) cut from papers in the Keep It Simple Hello Adventure Flip Sides Pack. I stamped the butterfly and frog from the Hello Adventure Find Your Wild Side stamp set, and the bunny from the Adventure Awaits stamp set. I colored them with a variety of markers, fussy cut them, and added them to the card front. I stamped the sentiment from the Adventure Awaits stamp set and added several Hello Adventure Enamel Dots in different colors.

I embellished the inside panel with a leftover piece of brown paper used on the front, added a sentiment from the ephemera sheet in the Hello Adventures Flip Sides Pack, and layered the panel on the blue paper which I also used on the front.
