Happy mother’s day

2/28/22 Honorable Mention at A Perfect Time To Craft Open Challenge Blog!

Hi friends! It’s chilly and snowy here in SW Colorado on this fine 1st day of January, just like it should be! I hope your final week of 2021 was wonderful! Affiliate links are used in this post at no cost to you – I really appreciate your support! Our new challenge is live this morning over at Love To Scrap Challenge Blog and I’m delighted to share my DT inspiration project for LTSCB #153 – Anything Goes! Why not start the new year off with a Mother’s Day card featuring a pre-colored digital image from Jan’s Digi Stamps Botanical Orchid set, and isn’t it beautiful?!

I cut a standard A2 size side-folding card base from Neenah Classic Crest 110# Solar White cardstock along with a half layering panel from Stampin’ Up Petal Garden DSP which I adhered to the card base. I printed the digital image on Neenah Classic Linen 80# Solar White cardstock and cut it with a Memory Box Stitched Circle Layers die. I die cut a slightly larger scallop circle using a My Favorite Things Stitched Mini Scallop Circle STAX Die-namics die from Stampin’ Up Sweet Sugarplum cardstock. I stamped the sentiment from The Project Bin’s Defined stamp set in black ink and added several dots of Nuvo Gloss White Crystal Drops to finish the card front.

I cut the inside panel from Neenah Classic Crest 80# Solar White cardstock and embellished it with strips of the cardstock and patterned paper used on the front. I stamped the sentiment from the same stamp set in black ink, and layered the panel on the sugarplum cardstock.

And one more peek… this was a super easy card that turned out so pretty and looks like I spent a long time making it! Love this image!

2/1/22 Top Pick at Crafting Happiness Challenges!

Hi peeps! Well, 2022 has arrived in what seems like a very short amount of time, lol! It seems like January 1st of 2021 was just yesterday! Affiliate links are used in this post at no cost to you – I really appreciate your support! Our new challenge is live this morning over at Love To Craft Challenge Blog and I’m super stoked to share my DT inspiration project for LTCCB #66 – Anything Goes! I’ve been on a Scan N Cut kick here lately and have cut quite a few files for design team projects. This adorable twist and pop card was created with a cut file from My Scrap Chick.

I cut all the pieces from American Crafts Sunflower, White and Stone cardstock, as well as CutCardStock Basis Red, Basis Aqua, Basis Green, Basis Navy, Pop-Tone Tangy Orange and Shadow Gray cardstock. The sentiment is from The Project Bin Milky Way stamp set which I stamped in Catherine Pooler Juniper Mist ink.

Then the fun began putting it together. Twist and pop cards really are a lot of fun, and being able to cut them electronically rather than measuring and scoring manually is the bomb!

The inside sentiment is from the same stamp set, stamped in the same dark blue ink.

And one more look… this was a super fun project. I can literally sit for hours putting these kinds of cards together!

Hi friends! Happy New Year! Can’t believe 2022 is here already – last year literally flew by! Affiliate links are used in this post at no cost to you – I really appreciate your support! Our new challenge is live this morning over at Mix It Up Challenge Blog and I’m super stoked to share my DT inspiration project for MIUCB #57 – Anything Goes + optional Foiling. If you’re in for playing the optional twist, we’d love to see your project using a laminator/Minc machine, foiled cardstock, aluminum foil, etc. I used gold metallic foil cardstock and Deco Foil Rainglow Transfer Sheet for my birthday card.

I cut a standard A2 top-folding card base from Neenah Classic Crest 110# Solar White cardstock along with layering panels from CutCardStock Stardream Metallic Jupiter cardstock and Neenah Classic Crest 80# Solar White cardstock. Using the Hero Arts Circles & Squares stencil along with Deco Foil Rainglow Transfer Sheets, Deco Foil Stencil Pal and Deco Foil Transfer Gel Duo, I created the background for the front of the card and then die cut it with the My Favorite Things Stitched Rectangle STAX Layers.

I used the My Favorite Things Bold Beautiful Die-namics and die cut the focal element from CutCardStock Stardream Metallic Jupiter cardstock and Hygloss Gold Metallic Foil cardstock, piecing the red cardstock into the gold negative spaces. I added the word ‘you’ die cut from the gold metallic foil cardstock using the Sizzix Alphanumeric Tiny Type Lower Thinlits and adhered it to the bottom right.

I cut the inside panel from Neenah Classic Crest 80# Solar White cardstock and die cut it with the My Favorite Things Stitched Rectangle STAX Layers. I embellished the panel with a leftover strip of the foiled panel on the front, a strip of CutCardStock Stardream Metallic Jupiter cardstock and a strip of gold metallic foil cardstock. I stamped the sentiment from the Waffle Flower Essential Sentiments stamp set in red ink and layered the panel on red cardstock.

And one more peek… so loving how this turned out! Foiling is so stinkin’ fun, and this rainbow foil is absolutely gorgeous!

Scrappy hugs,

Merry Christmas slimline

Hi everybody! Happy Saturday and Happy New Year! Today is the 1st day of the month which is always a busy blog day! Affiliate links are used in this post at no cost to you – I really appreciate your support! Our first challenge of the new year launched this morning over at Merry Little Christmas Challenge Blog and I’m thrilled to share my DT inspiration project for MLCCB #42 – Anything Christmas Goes! Our challenges are always Anything Christmas Goes, and I created a pretty slimline in my favorite color of green using stamps from Prickley Pear Stamps and an assortment of dies!

I cut my go-to size of 9″ x 3-3/4″ slimline card base from Neenah Classic Crest 110# Solar White cardstock, along with a layering panel from a green plaid pattern from the Christmas Print 6×6 Cardstock Pad. Using the My Favorite Things Die-namics Stitched Square STAX, I die cut three squares from CutCardStock Bonsai Green cardstock. I also cut three scalloped squares from CutCardStock Granny Smith cardstock using the My Favorite Things Die-namics Stitched Mini Scallop Square STAX and an embellishing strip punched from black glitter paper using a scalloped edge punch. I stamped images from the Prickley Pear Stamps Christmas Holiday Gift Tags stamp set, colored them with alcohol markers and fussy cut them. I layered the die cut squares together, adhered the stamped and colored images, and adhered them to the card front. I added the black glitter paper scalloped border across the bottom, and the final touch was adding small black gemstones to the squares (which turned into diamond shapes, lol).

I cut the inside panel from Neenah Classic Crest 80# Solar White cardstock and embellished it with a leftover plaid pattern strip used on the front, a strip of CutCardStock Bonsai Green cardstock and a strip of black glitter paper. I stamped the sentiment from the same Prickley Pear Stamps Christmas Holiday Gift Tags stamp set in black ink and layered the panel on the green cardstock. I had one extra stamped, colored and fussy-cut image which I adhered to the inside.

And one more peek… so loving how this turned out! This stamp set is so versatile and fun to use!

Scrappy hugs,

I turtley adore you

Hi everyone! A very Happy Saturday to you – I hope you’ve had a great week! Affiliate links are used in this post at no cost to you – I really appreciate your support! I’m stoked to be back on the Eyelet Outlet blog today with another awesome DT inspiration project! I created a super sweet CAS-ish card featuring our Turtle Brads and Pearl Bling Multi Size Green! There’s something about a tag on the front of card… and especially a tag with a super cute turtle and a pun-y sentiment! This is so stinkin’ cute I can’t stand it! And sometimes less is definitely more!

I cut a standard A2 size top-folding card base from CutCardStock Basis White 110# cardstock along with layering panels from CutCardStock Pop-Tone Gumdrop Green cardstock and a green dotted pattern from the Stamp Anniething Summer Tropics 6×6 double-sided papers. I die cut a tag from CutCardStock Basis White 80# cardstock using the CUTplorations Stitched Tags Nesting Dies and stamped the sentiment in green ink. I added a couple strips cut from the green cardstock to the bottom of the tag, added the Turtle Brad and a tiny heart punched from CutCardStock Pop-Tone Cotton Candy cardstock. I added some green crafting cord to the tag before adhering it to the card front, and then added some Green Pearl Bling to finish it off.

I cut the inside panel from CutCardStock Basis White 80# cardstock and embellished it with a wide strip of the green dotted patterned paper used on the front. I stamped the sentiment in green ink and layered the panel on CutCardStock Pop-Tone Gumdrop Green cardstock cardstock.

And one more look… so very happy with how this turned out! These turtle brads are super adorable and this little guy paired perfectly with the stamp set!

Scrappy hugs,

My challenge blogs are not closing…

Just letting everybody know that I decided (yesterday) NOT to close my four challenge blogs in 2022, so be sure to visit them tomorrow morning at 4:00 AM Mountain Time for new challenges!

It’s been a whirlwind 24 hours getting them ready for the new year after I told everybody I was closing them, lol! I hate it when I change my other mind! 😉

But I’ve made some major changes to the challenge structures to make things easier for Tina and I, and new blog themes are planned for later this afternoon when the current challenges are over, so be sure to visit if you are regular players!

Scrappy hugs,

Christmas Mini Album

Hey, everybody! Happy Hump Day – I hope you’re having a great week and it’s not too cold where you are! I’m thrilled to be back on the Clear Scraps blog today with another awesome DT inspiration project! I hope you had a wonderful Christmas – it’s so hard to believe that it has come and gone! We had an absolutely beautiful Christmas and the real truth is that it’ll be here again before we know it! I have one last Christmas project for the year to share featuring our Chipboard Tag Album that has plenty of room for documenting those Christmas memories. You’ll be seeing more Christmas projects from me in the upcoming months because Christmas is my favorite holiday and I create holiday cards and projects all year long!

I covered the front and back sides of the four tags with Christmas papers, inked the edges and embellished each side with coordinating ephemera and stickers. There are pockets with pull-out cards and tags as well as folders that open outward and upward… lots of open space for photos and journaling! This was a super fun project!

Three Favorite Valentine/Love Projects for Eyelet Outlet

Hey everybody! A very Happy Saturday and Merry Christmas to you! This year sure has flown by! I’m thrilled to be back on the Eyelet Outlet blog today sharing my three favorite Valentine/Love projects created with our amazing products! This is another one of those different kind of posts where all three of these projects have already been showcased on my blog – and very similar to my post in late November when I shared my three favorite Holiday projects. Looks like this will be a fun tradition!

If you are a regular reader of my blog, you know that Ed and I are Crazy Cat People and we rescue kittens and cats (current count is 18 – we have 11 inside and 7 more ferals/semi-ferals outside). That said, two of my three favorite cards in this post are cat-themed! The third is dog-themed, lol – we truthfully love all kinds of animals – and I really couldn’t list these three in any kind of ‘favorite’ order! My first fav is this awesome kitty card which I created in one of my favorite color combos of black and white with a pop of red. I paired our Cat Brads with our Glitter Black Washi Tape to create this purrfect Valentine or anniversary card!

My second fav is this adorable card featuring our Dog Brads and Kennel Mix Brads which I paired with our Grass Washi TapeSummer Tree Brads and Sun/Cloud Brads to create a fun scene. I also used a Paw Brad on the inside.

And my third fav is this super cute ‘feline good’ card which I created in a rose and burgundy color combo and features our Fox & Flowers Wide Washi Tape on the background. I also used our Feline Brads which I paired with a Pink Enamel Heart and White Pearl Bling. As you can tell, this inside sentiment is one of my favorites and gets used a lot! ;)

I hope you’ve enjoyed today’s post, even though it’s a little bit different from my normal posts! Be sure to check out all the fun goodies at Eyelet Outlet and be sure to ‘like’ and ‘follow’ Eyelet Outlet Facebook Page to keep up with news and sales! Christmas wallet

12/31/21 Top Pick at Cut It Up!
1/1/22 Top Pick at Crafting Happiness Challenges!
1/7/22 Top 3 at International Art & Soul!

Hi friends! It’s Christmas Eve and I hope you’ve had an awesome week and you’re ready for jolly St. Nick to arrive! I’m still shaking my head at how fast this year has flown by! Affiliate links are used in this post at no cost to you – I really appreciate your support! I won a challenge over at Creative Creases Challenge a couple weeks ago and the lovely Debbie invited me to guest design, so I’ve created a pretty fun fold Christmas wallet as my GD project for Creative Creases Challenge #22 that launched this morning. This is my own design and it’s super easy to create, and the sky is the limit as far as theme and decoration! I chose Christmas because I had Concord & 9th stamps and dies I’ve been wanting to use since I bought them a couple months ago… you know how that goes, lol! ;)

I cut the wallet base from CutCardStock Basis Dark Red cardstock using my template HERE and rounded the bottom corners. Using the Concord & 9th Home for the Holidays Stacks dies, I cut all the tiny houses, trees and elements for the front from CutCardStock Basis Red, Basis Dark Red, Basis Gold, Basis Green, Pop-Tone Gumdrop Green, Pop-Tone Jellybean Green cardstock, Neenah Classic Crest Baronial Ivory cardstock, Hygloss Gold Metallic Foil cardstock and Christmas Print 6×6 Cardstock Pad, and then assembled the houses. I adhered a ground layer, the houses, trees and lamp posts to the front of the wallet, and added a stamped sentiment from the Concord & 9th Home for the Holidays stamp set which I cut with a banner die from the same die set. The finishing touch was adding iridescent gemstones in the sky.

I cut layering panels from Stampin’ Up This Christmas Specialty DSP along with narrow embellishing strips from CutCardStock Pop-Tone Gumdrop Green cardstock and adhered them to the inside of the wallet. I cut a 6-1/8″ x 2-5/8″ card (which I left blank to hand-write a sentiment) that I tucked into one of the pockets.

And one more look… this is such a fun project that I really enjoyed making! If you use my template to create a wallet, I sure would love to see pics!

Scrappy hugs,

Thankful for You

Hey everybody! Just shaking my head at the speed December is blowing by! We’ll very soon be welcoming a new year! Affiliate links are used in this post at no cost to you – I really appreciate your support! I have an adorable Trinity Stamps Ambassador inspiration project to share today that I created with the Thankful for You stamp set and coordinating Thankful for You die set! Our Ambassador term is coming to an end on December 31st so this last project is a symbolic thank you to Trinity Stamps for having me (and the rest of the Ambassadors) along for the last six months! I’ve thoroughly enjoyed myself!

I cut a standard A2 size top-folding card base from CutCardStock Basis White 110# cardstock and layering panels of of the Stamp Anniething Autumn Life 6×6 double-sided papers which I cut at an angle and adhered to the card base with a strip of gold skinny washi tape at the seam. I stamped the focal image from the Thankful for You stamp set in brown ink on CutCardStock Basis White 80# cardstock, stamped again in Versamark and heat embossed with Hero Arts clear embossing powder. I colored the image with alcohol markers and cut it with the coordinating Thankful for You die set. I adhered the image to three additional plain die cuts for a little dimension, and then adhered it to the card front. I added several gemstones from the Topaz Twinkle Embellishment Mix to complete the front.

I cut the inside panel from CutCardStock Basis White 80# cardstock and embellished it with a strip of leftover patterned paper used on the front and a strip of the gold skinny washi tape. I stamped the sentiment from the Summertime Sentiments stamp set in brown ink and layered the panel on another piece of patterned paper.

And one more look… I’m so smitten with how this turned out, even though it is a Fall-themed card and it’s Winter here, lol! It was primarily the sentiment that I was after and it definitely works!
