Artist Trading Coins

Hi friends! I hope you all are well and staying safe. I’m delighted to be back on the blog over at The Project Bin and have popped in to share a few more ATCs. I’m an admitted ATC addict and I’m steadily adding to my collection! I love playing with The Project Bin stamps, and used round stamps from Born Yesterday, Haunt It and Summer Fun stamp sets. I added a little clear star shimmer to each.

The birthday sentiment is from the Born Yesterday stamp set, stamped in rosy pink ink.

2020_0330007

The witchy sentiment is from the Haunt It stamp set, stamped in orange ink.

2020_0330009

The vitamin sea sentiment is from the Summer Fun stamp set, stamped in aqua ink.

2020_0330008

One more peek at the set… loving how these turned out! I belong to a couple ATC trading groups but I’m finding more and more that I don’t want to part with any of them, lol!

4/19/20 Top 3 at International Art & Soul!

Hello, crafty peeps! Happy Hump Day – have you any April Fools Day jokes planned?! I’m delighted to be back on the blog today over at The Project Bin with a pretty thank you card! I dug into my stash and pulled out the Just Sayin’ stamp set to create this gingham and wood card. Super simple design! ;)

2020_0330002

I layered the gingham and wood paper panel on charcoal brown cardstock, separating the two patterns with a thin strip of the charcoal brown cardstock. I stamped the sentiment directly on the paper in brown ink and finished the design with five small green gemstones on the cardstock strip.

2020_0330003

I embellished the inside panel with leftover gingham paper and brown cardstock used on the front, then layered it on the brown cardstock. I stamped the sentiment in brown ink.

One more look… totally loving this clean design! And green and brown really do look great together!

Happy Easter!

Hello, friends! Hope you’re having a good week! Our new challenge is live over at Paper Funday Challenges and I’m excited to share my DT inspiration project with you today! Our challenges are always Anything Goes with an optional twist each month, and our twist this month is Easter. Our sponsor is Hetty Clare and I used the adorable Flower Girl digi stamp from my stash to create a pretty Easter card.

2020_0116005a

I dipped into my new favorite paper pad and grabbed two coordinating patterned papers to use along with the two colors of cardstock. I colored the image with Prismacolor pencils, cut it with a stitched oval die and added a tiny white flat-back pearl to the center of each flower. The sentiment is computer-generated.

2020_0116006a

I embellished the inside panel with leftover paper and cardstock used on the front. The inside sentiment is computer-generated also.

5/1/20 Spotlight Winner at A Perfect Time To Craft Open Challenge!

Hello, my crafty peeps! Can you believe it’s April 1st already?! OMGoodness, where is the time going? This month’s challenge is live over at Love To Scrap Challenge Blog and I’m thrilled to share my DT inspiration project for LTSCB #132 – For The Girls! I created two totally adorable boxed sets of tiny little note cards that any girlie girl would love! ;)

2019_1130007a

The first set was created with Ephemoire Rose Garden Boxed Card Set. I printed the box and the 3×3 note cards on white cardstock, and the envelopes on 32# copy paper. I made an embellishment for the front of each, using a stamp, a couple punches and a flat-back pearl.

2019_1130008a

The second set was created with Ephemoire Distressed Pansy Boxed Card Set. Like the first set, I printed the box and the 3×3 note cards on white cardstock, and the envelopes on 32# copy paper. I made an embellishment for the front of each of these also, in the same fashion, using a stamp, a couple punches and a gemstone.

And one final shot showing the cards and envelopes in their respective boxes. I love how these turned out!

Two-Pocket Purse

Hello, my crafty friends! Happy Hump Day – hope you’re having a great week so far! A new challenge is live over at Merry Little Christmas Challenge Blog and I’m excited to share my DT inspiration project for MLCCB #21 – April Anything Christmas Goes! You know how I love fun folds, and several months back I found a new one to try in a Splitcoast Stampers newsletter HERE. What a fun idea!

2019_1130001a

I chose plain ivory for the purse base, red and green cardstock for the flap and ornament embellishment, and traditional red and green double-sided Christmas papers for the inside pockets. The closure is a velcro circle and the handle is ivory diamond satin ribbon.

I tucked a card with a traditional Christmas sentiment into the pocket on the front side.

The card in the pocket on the back side has a place for a signature. This is so stinkin’ cute, and the sky is the limit with regard to colors, papers and occasions for gifting this little purse! You could also tuck in a gift card or cash! ;)

I’d love to enter this little purse into the following challenges:
A Bit More Time To Craft: #113 – Anything Goes
A Bit More Time To Craft Extra: April Anything Goes
A Perfect Time To Craft Open Challenge: #4-2020 – Anything Goes

Products used:
Cardstock/Paper: The Paper Studio Cream cardstock, Stampin’ Up Cherry Cobbler and Garden Green cardstock, Stampin’ Up This Christmas Specialty DSP
Stamps: Stampin’ Up Tin of Tags stamp set
Ink: Stampin’ Up Cherry Cobbler ink
Dies/Punches: Spellbinders Labels Seventeen die set, Spellbinders Mix-n-Match Ornaments die set
Accessories:  MISTI stamp tool, Really Reasonable Ribbon diamond satin ribbon, velcro circle

I hope you’ve enjoyed this little purse and will link up a Christmas project with us this month! Remember, it’s never too early to get started on your Christmas cards and projects – it’ll be here before you know it! Thanks so much for stopping by today – we’ll see you again soon! ;)

For You gift box

Hi friends! Happy Hump Day! Our new challenge over at Mix It Up Challenge Blog launched this morning and I’m excited to share my DT inspiration project for MIUCB #36 – Anything Goes + Fancy Fold! You know how I love fancy folds so this challenge was right up my alley and I was really looking forward to it! I created a napkin fold gift box using some gorgeous Dare 2B Artzy papers and stamps!

Leslie

This is the second napkin fold gift box I’ve made. The first one is HERE (created last year) if you’d like to take a peek. Despite the complex look, it really is an easy gift box to make. And the sky is the limit with regard to cardstock, papers and occasion! I embellished the top of the box with some Dare 2B Artzy stamped and die cut feathers and YNS green glittered Gumdrops.

2019_1209013a

I used Stampin’ Up Soft Sky cardstock for the box base, and Dare 2B Artzy Botanical Breeze paper pack for the box layers and the napkin fold. It’s best to use double-sided papers because both sides are visible. Here’s a pic with the lid taken off, showing the napkin fold just barely beginning to open.

2019_1209014a

And here’s  a pic of the napkin fold fully open, revealing an inspirational sentiment in the bottom of the box! The sentiment is from one of the two Dare 2B Artzy stamp sets, stamped in Memento Tuxedo Black ink. The ‘gauze’ texture stamp under the sentiment is from Paper Wings Productions.

2019_1209015a

And here’s one more look… how stinkin’ cute is this?!

I’d love to enter this gift box into the following challenges:

Stamps: Dare 2B Artzy Dream BIG and Dream Catcher stamp sets, Paper Wings Productions Art Textures and Fall Mix It Up stamp sets
Ink: Stampin’ Up Lemon Lime Twist ink, Memento Tuxedo Black ink

Gingham Baby Accordion Album

5/1/20 Best Technique Winner at Classic Design Challenge Blog!

Hi everyone! Happy Hump Day! It’s April 1st… do you have any April Fools jokes to play on anyone?! It’s time for another fun challenge over at Love To Craft Challenge Blog and I’m happy to share my DT inspiration project for LTCCB #45 – April Anything Goes! I created a sweet accordion album using pink, green, purple and yellow gingham and wood papers on a kraft base. The box looks like an album with a ribbon closure but doesn’t open (there’s your April Fools, lol!) – the accordion album slides down into the box from the top!

2019_1128006a

The adorable image on the front is Bugaboo’s Baby Moon digital image colored with Studio 71 alcohol markers and attached to the front on a wobble action spring.

2019_1128005a

Here are shots of the complete album. Note for future reference: Take all photos BEFORE attaching all the tabs to construct the accordion! It was very hard to photograph, lol! Each ‘page’ is embellished with a tiny die cut – I used a duck, an elephant, a giraffe, a heart and a star, colored them and applied some Crystal Clear Sparkle overlay marker.

Definitions ATCs

4/19/20 Top 3 at International Art & Soul!

Hi everyone! Hope your week is off to a great start! I’m happy to be back on the blog today over at The Project Bin with an awesome set of ATCs! I have become an ATC addict and absolutely love creating (and collecting) cards and coins, so I thought a set of coins using all the cool definitions in the Defined stamp set was only fitting!

2020_03300020

I love color – the brighter the better, lol! I inked each coin with three distress inks, splattered them with water in the distress sprayer, and stamped the definitions in black ink. I ran a black marker around the edge of each coin for a finished look and added three small gemstones to each to finish them off.

Someone I love was born today

Hi friends! Happy Monday! I’m thrilled to be on the blog today over at The Project Bin with a pretty birthday card! I was provided the Born Yesterday and Defined stamp sets and created a card featuring a pocket on the front with a tag inside and a little bit ‘o bling!

2020_0329005
2020_0329006

I chose a pretty floral print for the background and created the pocket from matching cardstock. The front and inside sentiments are from the Born Yesterday stamp set, and the tag sentiment is from the new Defined stamp set. I added striped ribbon tied with silver string to the top of the tag, and added tiny iridescent gemstones along both sides of the angled strip.

2020_0329007

I embellished the inside panel with leftover paper and cardstock used on the front, and stamped the sentiment in matching ink.

2020_0329008

Wild Thing

Hi everyone! I’m just shaking my head at how fast this year is flying by… already we’re about to jump into April! This month has been super busy and believe it or not I found a spare few minutes to whip up a birthday card for my favorite biker. I think I’ve made about five birthday cards for him, lol! This card features the new Wild Thing stamp and die set from The Project Bin which is a fantastic set!

2020_03290010

I had a pack of really cool black and ivory masculine paper in my stash which included a map that I paired with another piece of vintage ad paper. I had to laugh when I noticed the “Beautiful Woman” ad on the top section of paper, lol! I added some Washi Tape to a strip of black cardstock adhered across the center of the background panel, heat embossed the sentiment on it, and layered the panel on black cardstock. I stamped the bike in black ink on ivory cardstock, cut it with the coordinating die and adhered it to a stitched oval die cut. What an awesome focal image!

I embellished the inside panel with leftover strips of the map paper and black cardstock used on the front, then stamped the sentiment(s) in black ink.

2020_03290013

One more peek… loving how this turned out! Anyone with a biker in their life has to have this stamp and die set! ;)

2020_03290014

I’d love to enter this card into the following challenges:
Di’s Digi Challenge: Birthdays

Dies/Punches: The Project Bin Wild Thing die set (included with stamps), Memory Box Stitched Oval Layers die
